Okay, first off: if you’re looking for a tour where you don’t need to break a sweat or spend hours wandering aimlessly—this is it. It’s a short walk (thankfully), leading you straight to some hidden caverns, which were cooler than finding a secret passage in your own basement.
The tour was like a fun blend of “Wow, that’s neat!” and “I had no idea I needed to know that!” But here’s the real highlight—Miranda. She wasn’t just a tour guide, she was a force of nature. Honestly, I think she might have a PhD in Cincinnati history and a minor in making it fun. We’ve been here a couple of years but were looking to dive deeper into our local history, and Miranda had just the knowledge to fill that gap.
The tour starts and ends at a brewery, so you can conveniently sip while learning about the town’s past—just like history was meant to be taught. After finishing this tour, we didn’t want to stop getting to know our local history, so we stuck with the "staycation" vibe and hit up Willow Run Bourbon Tasting, where we were more than happy to give a shout-out to our favorite tour guide, Miranda.
10/10, would highly recommend for anyone—whether you’re a local or a confused tourist trying to make sense of the Midwest. And if you want your night to get even spookier, we’ll definitely be back for the haunted tour.
A big shout-out to Miranda—keep making history fun, and please don’t stop being awesome!
