16 Best Places for Live Music in Nashville | Condé Nast Traveler

"The unassuming American Legion Post 82 in East Nashville transforms on Tuesday nights into a Western Swing extravaganza. If you are looking for a place to wear fringe and practice your dance moves to classic country, this is it. The aesthetic is that of a VFW Hall or American Legion Post, with practical décor to serve veterans at hosted community events. A light-up American flag backdrop and a band and patrons dressed in their Western Swing best make up Honky Tonk Tuesdays, where dance lessons by Laura Mae typically start at 7:00 p.m., and the free show starts at 8:00." - Kristin Luna,Margaret Littman

Been several times over many years and there has never been a woman or person of color on stage. Even performing in the background. They glorify and celebrate the 1950s as though it was an awesome time for everyone. Sounds about white

Honked Tonk Tuesday! Everyone here was having a great time! Live music by locals and celebs alike. We saw Chris Scruggs and some other very talented musicians. $3 beers and all the Texas two step you can handle! Great place to drop in on if you are looking for some music and dancing on a Tuesday in Nashville =)

What a gem! Came here for Honky Tonk Tuesday (was recommended by a few locals). Good vibes and good people. It's like walking into a time capsule of yesteryear. A lot dress up in hat/boots but it seemed like everyone's cool if you just come as you are. And the Cowpokes are absolutely amazing! Two-steppin to great music for a great cause. What more could you ask for?

What a fun post and such good people! I was welcomed in right away and allowed to stay the night in my RV. It was great to meet you all and thank you so much. Happy trails!

Tuesday nights! Live country music...so good...just what you would expect out of any of the Broadway venues in Nashville except the prices are manageable. Both bands play every Tuesday and both of them do a super job. Great dancing. Diverse and friendly crowd. Easy parking. No cover...tips are expected.

Stop the presses. If you are in Nashville on a Tuesday and you don’t come here then you’ve missed one of the great life experiences. Honky-Tonk Tuesdays is a one of a kind genuine experience at a low key non touristy spot in town. The beer is cheap, the bands are amazing and the clientele are super welcoming.
