I decided to take my parents on an outing and I thought this would be a cool experience to have with them. We had an amazing time! We saw about 7 humpback whales, about 5 pods of bottlenose dolphins, and some cool birds. The crew of the ship was knowledgeable and polite. Who would've thought that we could see all of this sealife right here in Brooklyn, NY? We ended up spending an extra 30 minutes at sea because we kept spotting whales and dolphins. It was awesome and I've told everyone I know about my amazing experience. I would recommend everyone go whale watching with this company.

I have done this cruise twice. The first time, I didn't get a chance to see any dolphins or whales. So, since the first trip was a bust, American Princess was nice enough to give everyone onboard a voucher for $20 off to sail again with them, which I took advantage of and used it this past weekend. On the second trip, we all saw two humpback whales, and I was able to get a couple of good shots of them with my phone. Unfortunately, no dolphins were seen on this trip. You can either get your ticket online or buy one right before boarding. The staff onboard is friendly, and the naturalists are very engaging and knowledgeable. You can bring your own beverages and snacks, but there is a snack bar on the lower level that is cash only. They also have separate men's and women's restrooms, which is a bit cramped. With cruises like this, it can be hit or miss, but I highly recommend checking them out as it is definitely a great way to spend 3-1/2 hours on the water.

I had to wonderful opportunity to take a sunset boat in August and spotted several terns and two very active, lunge-feeding humpbacks! The staff was friendly and are very knowledgeable on the marine + avian wildlife in the area. It warms my heart to see these wonderful creatures return to the waters near my hometown and for the crew providing a means for everyone to see them in action! Do bring a jacket as it can get cold while the boat's on the move, and definitely take Dramamine if you're prone to seasickness! If you want a seat on the top of the boat, come at least 30 min early to claim a spot.

Wonderful energy on this boat! They’re genuinely excited about the wildlife they follow and carry out their work with genuine care. I organized an outing for my birthday and it was a lot of fun.

Took this cruise on July 5. The crew was very knowledgeable and respectful. We saw dolphins. We had 3 whale sightings. One whale came out of the water.. Exciting!!! The boat is clean and comfortable with plenty of seating. We had a great time on the water.

What a session this was! The ride out was exciting with enough and more of dolphins. Despite the best efforts of the amazing crew the humpback whales just refused to show till we were on our way back. And then, just like that, a humpback showed up! "Thar she blows" announced the crew member! And did the humpback put up a show! Lunge feeding, breeching once, and giving us a memory of a lifetime! Thank you so much, guys, for such an amazing experience!

Very cool to see the whale eating, but extremely hot on the boat for 3.5 hours in July with no water to drink. Not very kid friendly, do not recommend for younger children. Staffer asked my toddler to remain seated during the whale lunges and then was quite aggressive with me, which really soured the experience.

I love this cruise :) the employees are so nice and the naturalist explains everything really well. I’ve done the whale watching cruise twice now and have both times seen many dolphins and a humpback whale. There’s an option to buy coffee, hot chocolate and tea as well as some small snacks and hot dogs. I recommend bringing a jacket even when weather is hot as the winds on the water do make it chilly.
