Had an amazing bridal shower yesterday. Devin was AWESOME! He kept checking in making sure we had everything we needed from start to finish. Also made sure everyone had their appetizers, food and a constant flow of mimosas! Had so many compliments about him from our guests. This was a great venue for a party. Thank you to Nicole and Adam for being so accommodating and all the help with planning as well!

I recently visited American Social in Tampa, and I was impressed! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was buzzing with a fun, energetic vibe. It's the perfect spot for a lively night out. The service was top-notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Now, let's talk about the food! The chicken wings were absolutely delicious – perfectly crispy and full of flavor. We also ordered a pizza, and it was a definite winner. The crust was perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and tasty. And don't even get me started on the Tiki Rita – it was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy! Overall, American Social is a fantastic spot in Tampa. Great food, excellent service, and a vibrant atmosphere make it a must-visit that is front of the lake. I highly recommend it and can't wait to go back!

I went here because another restaurant I wanted to actually get a salad from was closed for maintenance or construction located right next to it. I am glad I decided to eat here because the salad I had was the bomb! The green goddess dressing was amazing. I ended up getting more! I got the West Coast salmon salad bowl with no quinoa and I got my salmon blackened. I also had a passionfruit margarita which was great! It was very crowded, but I was able to get a seat at the bar and there was a musician playing outside on the patio so it was a great vibe. The bartender was a little slow. I’m going to say because they were Kind of busy and it was happy hour and it was on a Friday but other than that everything was great.

We had our daughters Baby shower here and it was the best experience. The food was great, the location and atmosphere was enjoyable. Devin our bartender/everything was so attentaive and helpful. He kept everything on tract when we were distracted. Everyone attending complimented Devin and the venue. Thank you Nicole for helping us make this a perfect day!!

My friends and I went for brunch & it was phenomenal. Shout out to our server Lanie for recommending the Maui Mimosa we had like 6 of them haha. The patio is such a nice vibe & the eggs Benedict was perfect.

We had a large party that was sat quickly and had multiple servers. They handled our party with ease and no issues. Our food and drinks came right away and splitting our bills was super easy. I look forward to coming back. Also, food and drinks were 👌🏼!

The food was honestly okay, not the best. We ordered the steak pizza and the salmon bowl, I honestly thought it would come with rice and was a hot bowl but it was just salmon salad and quinoa which wasn’t really what I would expect. The pizza on the other hand was decent. The ambience was great, the view especially was amazing since we sat outside and faced the water. Servers were nice and quick (at the bar). Would come again for the vibes but not the food.

Just rating the brunch here. Everything we ordered came out decent. Our server, who was also the bartender, did a great job. Not too overpriced, considering the location. Atmosphere wonderful, especially sitting outside on a warm sunny day. Side note, the night life here is great too, have been here during UFC events. Bar is full, food is good and served late, beautiful atmosphere in the water.

American Social is popular for a reason. It's got one of the best waterfront views in Tampa, and while the parking situation can be... character-building, trust me--it's all worth it once you sit down. Great food, great service. I ordered the Brunch in the Keys and it might go down as one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. A perfectly crisp Key West pink shrimp cake topped with a poached egg, drizzled in green goddess and hollandaise, and finished with fresh cilantro--every bite was balanced, flavorful, and clearly made from scratch. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. If this were my last meal, I'd be happy. Brunch at American Social is too good not to enjoy every bite.

My family and I visited AMSO the other night for a late lunch/early dinner and asked for a table on the patio (we brought out dog with us). I was so glad to see that they had such a nice patio and I appreciated how dog friendly this spot was! The menu had a lot of great choices and the cocktail menu was also expansive! Our server was super quick at bringing us water and taking our drink orders. When we were ready to order, she answered questions and made recommendations. I asked for the grilled shrimp tacos and couldn't wait to try them. The cocktails were really good and when the food came out, the tacos were not just grilled to perfection, but extremely flavorful. I was so glad that I ordered them. Just the right amount of food. The location is simply divine as the patio overlooks the water and we could enjoy the sunset while enjoying a cocktail and some food. Pro-tip, if you park in the garage, they will validate your ticket at the hostess station so be sure you bring the packing ticket with you!

Had a fun girls night out at American Social for happy hour. I finally got to see what the hype was about. We sat outside and got beautiful views of Tampa's Riverwalk. Even at 6pm, it was still so hot and would recommend to sit inside next time, then head outside to enjoy the views. The food was SO good and their passionfruit margaritas were such a hit with us. So refreshing and full of flavor . Our service was outstanding. Our waitress kept checking on us which is a plus for me! I had the crispy truffleshroom burger with truffle fries and I recommend it, if you love mushrooms! So delicious. Definitely a great spot for casual vibes, tasty bites, delicious drinks and a little photo op on the cute green deck area near the water. Parking is free for 2 hours with validation.

Gracie was amazing, she gave us great service with a smile on a busy Saturday night. Come in here and give this girl all your money!

Went for lunch with two colleagues. Service was good, could have been a little more attentive to refills out in the heat. Shared the goat cheese fritters - those were delicious! All our food was good - I enjoyed my pork belly tacos immensely.

If your downtown Tampa you can miss on visiting the American social. I visited while at night and it was so lively. Great live music and great restaurant service from the staff. The food was so good. I had the smash burger with a side salad. The burger was juicy and not dry and salads tasty. We also tried their fries which I love they were wedge fries instead of horse fries. The dip mad it extra spicy. I will say going here at night would be the best to enjoy the live music and the views of the water and the view of the city. You can't miss it

I love American Social especially for private events. We had our rehearsal dinner here, got private seating for the boat parade and had my baby shower here. Definitely the best place to go for private events

This place (known as AMSO by the locals) was an AMAZING spot for lunch! Out of everything we ordered there wasn't a single bad bite. I ordered the kimchi fried rice with steak and it was INCREDIBLE! My wife had the steak frites with chimichurri and she loved it as well. If we come back to Tampa, this is one spot that we will be coming back to. We also started with the ceviche which was great!

The American social in Tampa will always be one of my favorites! From the beautiful views, to the freshly made burgers, they will always be number one on my list for places to go to when I'm in town. I am someone who absolutely loves toppings on my burgers, from lettuce to pickles to onions to tomatoes, etc. you can never go wrong with extra toppings! BUT American social has changed the game for me. Their Smashburger's come with a fresh juicy patty, caramelized, onions, and cheese. That's it! It also comes on a pretzel bun and that bun tastes and feels like a pillowy soft cloud! By far the best burger I have ever had! I also ordered the side of spicy ranch wedges, and they compliment the burger so well. Now, I have tried other things on the menu, but I always end up feeling disappointed. Their smash burger never disappoints and hits every single time haha! Can't wait to come back!

Round 2!! I'm so glad I am able to do a follow up review. It's been awhile since our first visit to American Social Tampa. First time was not so great. However the Area Manager Jason Thompson was so gracious and invited us to come back. So Easter Sunday 2025 was the day. I want to shout out our server Ashley. Amazing. Sweet. Very attentive. Ashley made our time there memorable. She made recommendations. She was patient. Loved it. My drink of choice was the Naughty Margarita. 10 out of 10. And for my entree had the Santa Fe Turkey Club with fries. It was pretty good. My granddaughter had a cheese pizza. She finished it all. She's definitely a fan. Overall the ReDo was good. My husband and I have made plans to return for a date night. Thank you Jason for being so gracious. And thank you Ashley for being an awesome server!!

American Social is a cute spot with a great view of the boats and the water! There is an inside dining option, as well as some seating/bar that's outside. The food was pretty standard but they do have a fair variety of menu items to select from! The mac and cheese was yummy but the buffalo fries fell short for me. The ratio was off in terms of meat to fry, as they only gave me a little bit. The cocktail I had was also just ok! The pull to come back to American Social would definitely be the view for me!

Cool ambiance cool vibe gets very busy .. one of my go to spots if I'm tryna eat by the water in Tampa ..8/10 for me food is good depending on what you order service is alright

A very busy Friday night! The drinks, especially the lemon drop martini, were very good! It was the consistency of a slushy. The bartenders held their own while being slammed with orders. The bathrooms are night and clean and there is a nice etiquette here. The waterfront is soo relaxing when you want to take a break from the loud and noisy bar/club vibe. Really enjoy the upstairs and downstairs vibes. The tequila shots were also pretty smooth. I would come back with my friends absolutely.

We were sat right away on the patio with a nice view of the Riverwalk. Our server was on top of it with refilling waters, especially helpful on a hot day, and checked in on us often. The blood mary was excellent, bacon garnish is always a nice touch. Steak fried rice was delicious with a little bit of heat, though the pieces of steak could have been sliced thinner for a more tender bite. Spicy ranch potato wedges are a must try side. We even got a visit from the manager Alex, who was very friendly and made sure we had the best experience possible! Overall a great, trendy place for a fun brunch or a nice dinner out, would definitely go back!

American Social is a place to drink and hang out at the bar and not eat in my opinion. All of our food was ok, but nothing outstanding. None of our plates were ever cleared so we spent most of the night with old food sitting on the table. Great choice if you want to come get drinks and sit at the bar, but skip the food and sit down dinner here.

Came here for my company's holiday party. This makes the second year we've come here. It's a great area with a beautiful view of the water. Parking is available in the garage below level. Always a nice setup. Food is ok -- nothing to rave about and is typically buffet style for our event. They did serve some apps to include artichoke dip and wings. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Was not impressed. The ambiance was very engaging and entertaining! They had a Dj on the inside which played great house music, loved it! The service was good and our waitress did share her recommendations. The food was not good, I ordered the Grilled Tuscan Chicken Sandwich and the chicken was not seasoned very bland and the topping weren't tasteful. The Chicken BLAT the same, and the fries on the side were very hard clearly not fresh. The food was disappointing. I would recommend this spot to watch sports and for happy hour with friends thats about it.

I visit Tampa yearly and wanted to try something on the river front, I landed at American Social. The service was initially a bit slow after the hostess sat me. I had to walk to the bar to ask them who served my table. Once I did that service was better. Seems like a good place for groups but it is not a mixed crowd at all. I wanted a bit more diversity I ordered a Rhiskey Passion and fries and read my book. I enjoyed both items. The place was somewhat loud but not so bad that I couldn't read. I would recommend this place for a future visit.

This the place to be for sure! Lots of table and bar seating, so many beautiful and capable staff members, a full bar and food menu and ambiance that feels like you are in a very special place. The views from outside seating are impressive and it accommodates ages and personalities of wide variety. A must see.

First time here and it didn't disappoint! Great service by everyone which always makes for a good experience. Started with a Bloody Mary and it was fantastic. Balanced. Perfect. Shared a Key West shrimp cake and it was really good. I am not a crab cake type style fan but this was awesome. Sauce was really tasty too. For dinner I had the Steak Frites which was maybe the best of the night. The steak super tender, cooked to a perfect medium. My beautiful date wanted to try something different and new to us. She ordered the Steak fried rice with homemade kimchi and an over medium egg. She chose to have the crispy hot sauce on the side. In all honesty, it didn't need the sauce because the steak, egg and rice was really good on its own. Maybe an extra egg for a little more yolk but this is really nitpicking. I had a PB&J old fashioned to wash that down with and it was also just as good. It even had a mini PB&J on top! Many times a downtown upscale place is lacking in some form. Not here. Felt the pricing was good for the location and really enjoyed the meal and the view.

Was walking by and saw the outside patio was packed decided to have dinner here while in town. I ordered the Crispy Goat Cheese Salad and the Guavanero wings! It was absolutely delicious , the wings were spicy and sweet and covered in a slaw. I would definitely return ! The server was friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed

I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos to-go and the shrimp inside was very good. The green sauce that they served on the side was okay. There was a lot of lime juice and it was more watery than creamy because of that. Pretty decent tacos otherwise.

It's always nice to spend some time in American Social with friends. We made a quick stop to take some shots before continuing walking through Tampa and was so nice sit, talk for a little bit and enjoy the vibe.

Went to try the sushi that was recommended to me in the bar only to find out there was no sushi lol. Burn on me. The bartender looked just like Kelsey plum, the goat cheese salad was excellent and had I not been exhausted I would have stayed later

I'm always down for a drinks date at American Social with your friends. The location and the vibe is beautiful. You can see the Bahia from your table, the music is good, the service. 10/10 recommended.

Great place located with water views & a large outdoor area including a few bars. Happy hour drink prices were great with quality alcohol. We grazed on the guavanero wings (yum!), brussel sprouts (unique way of preparing them), & delish deviled eggs. Service was excellent! Definitely check this place out! NOTE - Park in the garage & get your ticket validated for free parking!

I used to love American Social after last nights experience I will not be going back. We wanted to go to grab a late bite to eat and a drink and the door men had bad attitudes and made fun of us. We left and will not be back.

It was the perfect day with the perfect weather to have a Sunday brunch at American Social! The vibe outside was perfect! Our service was super good and they were very attentive. The food was tasty we loved the dip!

Food: Ordered the spinach & artichoke dip, mushroom pappardelle pasta, and crispy truffleshroom burger. The pasta was fantastic, perfect amount of mushroom to sauce to pasta ratio. The burger tasted like a normal burger. The spinach & artichoke dip didn't blow my mind. Drinks: ordered the cucumber fizz and PB&J Old Fashion. The cucumber fizz was a refreshing drink. PB&J Old Fashion was unique (the small PB&J slipped down the stick so by the time it was retrieved, it was already soaked in alcohol.) Ambiance: It was pretty crowded, so I think that's why it was so loud there. It was pretty difficult to hear the person across the table. View of the riverwalk is nice. Service: it would have been nice if they refilled the water but like I said, they were pretty busy which may have contributed to this service.

Great experience for our first time being here. Food was top notch and tasted like it had fresh ingredients. Our service was great and prompt at all times. The entree size was a bit small for the price but it makes sense on the area. It was clean and there are lot of TVs to watch any games that are playing. It was loud outside with music, but I was glad the reservation was inside. Definitely a good spot for someone visiting the city!

Last night was my first time ever going to American Social and the service was absolutely fantastic. One of the young ladies name was Ava and she was such a ray of light in the room. She smiled and made everyone feel welcomed in the room. American Social kudos for such a five star experience I will come back for sure.

Enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere here. Servers and food runners were polite and accommodating. We enjoyed our meals and the drinks were fairly priced and tasty. Menu was fairly average. Nothing stood out too much to be super excited to try.

Waterfront dining and bar next door to the Westin. Big space, bar inside and outside, with a huge riverfront patio. If only... If only it wasn't so loud inside where it's air conditioned. If only there were fans (not one!) outside to move some air in the Florida heat. If only the food was a notch fresher and less fried. If only outside was a bit cleaner... Service was good, and people watching is entertaining at least.

American social is an excellent spot with good food and always a great vibe. The outdoor tables and bar have a fantastic view of the harbor and part of downtown Tampa. They have pretty good bar-type food and awesome cocktails. If you're craving a good burger, this is the spot. It can sometimes get pretty loud and crowded on weekends and game days. I love coming here to watch the Bucs or lightning games. I'd definitely recommend reservations.

We have enjoyed American Social a few times for casual food and drinks. We love the vibrant atmosphere and their location, right across the River Walk makes an ideal place to enjoy Tampa's waterfront! We usually sit at one of their many outdoor tables or at the bar. We have experienced friendly, attentive service no matter where seated. Among one of our favorite appetizers are the Goat Cheese Croquettes served with guava glaze! So simple, but yet so delicious! Another go to casual dish is their Shrimp, and Scallop Ceviche, as well as Steak Bomb Pizza. The portions are perfect for sharing, tasty and beautifully presented. American Social offers Social Hours on weekdays from 4-7pm, where house wines, selected draft beers, 3 types of margaritas: original, strawberry and passion fruit; plus, house liquors are offered at special price. I absolutely love their daily special deal for Monday, Burgers and Bourbon! Oh, my! While my hubby enjoys Taco and Tequila Tuesdays! Whatever you crave, American Social delivers! It delivers by fresh, tasty dishes, amazing service and awesome views!

So American social wasn't my favorite. I think it was ok. Nothing super special. I the social smash burger. It was good. I will say the Deviled eggs I wanted to order more of ! The drinks were good. Liquid lei was cute and good! The music was pretty good. Kinda of loud but good. And on a Saturday night it gave a collage vibe. Definitely like the views outside. Could watch the water and people

Great restaurant for large parties if you book in advance. These workers are kind and hardworking. They get you whatever you need fairly quickly. For a large party, they got orders (and appetizers) out pretty fast for 13 people. The food is phenomenal, the chopped BBQ brisket is to die for. Would come here again.

interesting place, they seem to have a weird dress code for the female waiters so i hope they're all right with it lol. that aside, the place is pretty big with a huge outdoor seating area. if you park in the garage don't forget to bring your parking ticket and up to the first two hours of parking can be waived by the restaurant. service is very nice but seems slow, this was across the board so i'm not sure if it's done purposefully, but a meal took a little over 2.5 hours from seating to check. the food was good, no complaints, and the serving sizes are generous so you won't feel bad about the price.

I have been a fan of American Social for years and it continues to impress me! I celebrated my 30th birthday this past weekend and it was amazing. My go to is the PB&J Old Fashioned. We were set up with a beautiful view and our service was great by Emma. I recommend if you want good food, good drinks and a beautiful bay view. Can't beat it. I will always be back.

We had dinner here for a work trip with vendors, and since they were paying, they ordered us a ton of appetizers and entrees to try since we were a large group. Some I didn't get to taste or didn't have a desire to, but what I did try was good. I tried the buffalo chicken fries, which were good. I would have liked a better chicken-to-fries ratio, but the flavors were still good. The spinach and artichoke dip was also good. The cheese on top was hard to scoop chips in. I assume it had been sitting out a while before being dropped off to us, but it was still tasty. I just pushed the top layer aside. The rest of the party enjoyed some shrimp and scallop ceviche, but they all said great things about it. We also got the loaded guac, which was good. You can't go wrong with guac. Most people ordered salads or bowls for entrees, but I decided on the bacon-wrapped scallops. I regretted that. As someone who cooks a lot, I know the scallops were very overcooked, and their glaze was overpowering and not a good match. It tasted like BBQ, but I'm unsure if it was. I would change the whole dish if possible, but I know what to avoid now. Overall, everyone enjoyed the restaurant. It was right before the hockey game, so it was packed and very loud. Drinks were also good, but it took a while due to how busy it was.

Second Time same as first visit 7 Years Ago-awful. Won't be back. Nearly every dish wrong. Drink take a month

Had brunch here on a Sunday morning with my son and daughter in law. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant is right on the river. The view from outside deck seating is nice. The food and service were very good. We ordered several appetizers such as deviled eggs, Nashville hot chicken sliders, donut holes and soft pretzel sticks. The donut holes are definitely a must have. We each had an entree such as eggs Benedict, a fried rice bowl and french toast. There is a full bar serving popular brunch cocktails. Parking is underground and is partially paid for by the restaurant

I came here for a work lunch with my manager while in town. It was easy to reserve a table online with OpenTable which I appreciated. I walked over, but it's easy to find parking as well and I loved how big the space is with plenty of seating on the patio and inside. It was pretty quiet for a weekday lunch, but I imagine it gets busy on the weekends with the prime location on the water! I had the blackened shrimp salad while my manager had the taco Tuesday special. Our waiter was super quick and friendly and our food came out pretty quick. I liked the blackened shrimp on my salad a lot. The beans, quinoa, and cotija were also great, but I wish there had been more dressing (even on the side) because the salad was a little dry, especially with the quinoa. Overall, solid lunch and would probably be great for a large group.

A fun place on the water. We had to wait a very long time for a table for 6 - but they weren't that busy on a Friday at 3pm.... Once seated our server was fantastic! He was attentive, friendly... and even moved a heater over to our table (it was a dreary, cool rainy day). Food was ok... very expensive but good food. Side mac & cheese was delicious! We ordered a bunch of appetizers for the table: deviled eggs, cauliflower pizza, wings, pretzel w/cheese.... all tasted good.

I had a reservation on a Wednesday night but we did not need it. With my group of six, we were sat down immediately, they even had a private event and the restraint was fairly busy for 9PM. We were greeted and dinks were taken immediately. The Coco Nana Lada is one of their fall cocktails and very good, with a good balance of the rum. My Steak frites dish was good, I wished the chimichurri sauce was a little more acidic. It was missing that chimichurri kick. The seasoned fries with that Tabasco ranch were fabulous. The Crispy truffleshroom burger was just okay, typical burger fare, nothing to write home about. Overall, a good place to grab a drink and a quick bite if you have a late night in Tampa.

I had an amazing experience with my friends at this place. We were looking for a spot to have some drinks and appetizers, and this place was definitely ideal. The atmosphere is super nice with good music. They also have outdoor tables (with a view of the riverwalk). The service was excellent too. The food was delicious. I tried the pizza and goat cheese croquettes with guava sauce from the appetizer menu, and they were absolutely delicious. I also tried the Tiki Rita (drink) and loved it. Highly recommended, everything mentioned above. To our surprise, they had a silent party with headphones, and of course, we tried it and loved it. Without a doubt, we will return to this place.
