Americana Diner

Ok i dont give 5 stars to easily. It was a toss up between 4.5 or 5 but you cant do 4.5. The only reason was i wished the salad bar was a little bigger. I should have taken pics of our food. Soups were great, all our food was great n so was the coffee. Waitress was very nice n no midtakes. But a real take is bathrooms spotless and for those that dont know a dirty bathroom is usally a FILTHY kitchen. Well stocked also, including soap. But very impressive a kitchen person didnt know i was in there n washed his hands. WELL DONE, GOOD TRAINING FROM HIS FAMILY AND BOSS🙂. I hope the owner sees this. Im old, been to a lot of places. GOOD JOB. THANK YOU. Prices very fair, no greed here.

The food was absolutely delicious. It was a real treat to be able to get scrapple and biscuits and gravy. Yummmmy. Every bite was better than the next. I highly recommend eating there and enjoying the great food!! Thanks.

The Americana Diner has really good food with impressively good pricing. On top of that, booths are comfortable, the staff was attentive and friendly as well. The only thing I can remotely complain about is that the parking lot is directly touching the road so it’s a bit intimidating to navigate and a bit of a pain to pull out. The mild inconvenience is well worth the experiencing, but it should be noted for people who get anxious while driving/parking.

1950s/60s Car Themed Diner. The menu is vast and the food is good. We selected senior portions of Shepherd's Pie and Chopped Sirloin [Must get the house mushroom sauce!]. The senior menu is much larger than usual. For our sons, we took out burgers. Our younger son's burger was of Dagwood proportions! We have added this restaurant to our goto places. It forms a "Golden Triangle" with East Penn Diner and Mount Penn Family Restaurant. All are equidistant from us via the backroads.

There were 6 of us. We had the following menu items: Stuffed grape leaves- never had this dish before. It was not to my liking but my sister liked them. Mozzarella sticks- arrived quickly, hot and delicious. Clam strips and fries- large portion served with cocktail sauce. Pork chop- very moist, tender, cooked well served it had another side but I don't remember what. It also was served with soup, rolls, and 1 trip to the salad bar Veal and spaghetti- served with soup, rolls a trip to the salad bar Liver and onions-the onions needed to be cooked a lot longer they were not caramelized. Liver and mashed potatoes were good! Lobster bisque - very thick, good flavor Chicken noodle- not the best I have ever had but satisfactory Macaroni and cheese- nephew was thrilled! He loves macaroni and cheese and pronounced it "really yummy" The salad bar is just salad stuff, but you can make a very good one. The portions were huge and almost all of us needed takeout containers. The soup and appetizers arrived very quickly! The rest took a while. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is classic diner. I wish I had room for dessert because they looked amazing and there was a good variety. The menu is HUGE! If we lived closer. I would return to try more of their food. With 2 appetizers, 5 beverages, 6 entrée(1 the child's menu) our total was about $100. If you are in the area it is definitely worth you money. You will probably have enough to take part home. Highly recommend giving it a try!

If I could give this place a zero, I would. Server was so rude, did not greet us. Everyone was just watching us the whole time, waited over an hour for our food. Our chicken was bright pink and raw, missing multiple pieces of our food. Never got asked if we needed refills or anything else. Server dropped our food on the ground and just walked away. Never came up to apologize or anything, just threw a new plate of eggs at us. Not to mention the bathrooms and restaurant it self was very dirty.

Cozy dinner in the country. The servers are friendly and helpful. The food comes out fairly fast. And the food is pretty damn good. I only wish the sausage gravy had the drippings of the sausage for more flavor. The rest of the plates on the table were great.

My husband and I went on a Sunday morning. It was very busy but we waited less than 5 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was very pleasant, quick and attentive (Heather). The food was tasty (I had the Americana stuffed French toast and my husband had a breakfast special). We would love to return for dinner!
