Just want to start with a big shout out to our waiter Daniele and staff of Americana kitchen. We tried the miami spice menu. Nothing less then spectacular. From the presentation of the food to the first bite, the flavors exploded in my mouth. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you Chef David for the chance to enjoy your talent.

Update Summer 2025: Even better than last year. Wonderful food and service, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Even with all the amazing dining option in Coral Gables, this place is tough to walk past. The pizza has the best pepperoni I've ever had, and they are extremely generous with it. Summer 2024: Wonderful dinner and drinks at the bar. Gordon was outstanding at his job and friendly and engaging to boot, as were all the staff we encountered. Everything was delicious, well prepared and with that little bit "extra" touch to make it special. Only got a photo of the pizza, but the salad and other items were spot on.

Hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Americana Kitchen at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel absolutely blew us away. From the moment we sat down, everything was spot-on — the atmosphere, the service, and most importantly, the food. Chef David’s culinary expertise truly shined through in every dish. Each bite was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully crafted. You can tell there’s real passion behind the food coming out of that kitchen. Our server, Daniel, was equally impressive — warm, professional, and incredibly attentive without being overbearing. He anticipated everything we needed and made sure our meal was seamless from start to finish. He truly went above and beyond, and his service elevated the entire experience. Our favorite dishes of the evening were the Mediterranean salad, the empanadas, and the tri-tip. Every dish was delicous!!!! If you're staying at Loews or just in the Coral Gables area, do not miss a chance to eat here. We’ll absolutely be back — this is a new favorite!

Nice atmosphere, I had a wonderful time at Americana Kitchen! A new location at The Plaza, Coral Gables. I was delighted and the service was good. The waitress was kind, considerate, and very helpful. We had variety of foods from cocktails to pizza, hamburgers, sushi rolls, chicken wings, and paella; a diverse and enjoyable dining experience. We had fantastic time with our big group! The staff was able to accommodate us without missing a beat. No matter what size your group is you’re gonna have a great time.

Went there to celebrate my birthday and I enjoyed it so much! The food was amazing - I love the fusion of American and Latin cuisine, and the staff was very attentive and made my day feel so special. Huge shoutout to the manager on duty as well, Karriffe. He made sure to touch my table and ensure that I was having a great experience. 10/10!

Expensive menu. Loud inside. I ordered the salmon to top a salad, and it was really fishy and I will not eat it again. Do not recommend. The apps were OK. The brussel sprouts were yummy. Our server was great.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! Apart from being situated in a beautiful hotel like The Loews, the restaurant itself has a modern but posh ambiance. •Food: 5/5 - Everything was exquisite! Chef David is an absolute gem & incredibly talented. I highly recommend the scallops, salmon, steak, old fashioned, espresso martini & s’mores dessert. •Service: 5/5 - I was blown away by how well we were treated. The manager, Nicola, is beyond professional and works so hard on ensuring everyone’s experience is a positive one. Additionally, our waiter, Daniel, was incredible! He provided the best recommendations, treated us with so much care & was such a genuine person. •Ambiance: 5/5 - A modern, chic but also upscale & upbeat restaurant. Such a great spot for a date night, night out with friends, or a solo date.

Last holiday season, my work team and I decided to celebrate at American Kitchen, and it turned out to be an absolutely delightful choice. We reserved the private section of the restaurant, which was both spacious and inviting, perfectly accommodating our group for the secret Santa and white elephant events. The private area offered us the privacy and comfort we needed to enjoy our festivities without feeling cramped or interrupted. The food at American Kitchen was a hit among the team. With a variety of options to choose from, everyone found something they loved, and the quality of the meals was consistently good across the board. The dishes were flavorful, well-presented, and served in a timely manner, which is always appreciated during a group event. The atmosphere of the restaurant added to our overall enjoyment. It was nicely decorated, creating a warm and festive vibe that perfectly complemented our holiday gathering. The staff at American Kitchen were also part of what made our experience so positive. They were attentive, accommodating, and went out of their way to ensure our group had everything we needed. Celebrating the holidays at American Kitchen with my work team was a wonderful experience. The combination of the private and spacious section, delicious food, and the festive atmosphere made for a memorable evening. I would highly recommend American Kitchen for anyone looking to host a group event or simply enjoy a great meal in a pleasant setting.

Yelp
The place is beautiful and new the service is good. The appetizers were excellent especially the empanadas. But the snapper was way over cooked and tough and that should never happen.

Yelp
I stayed at Loew's for a conference and didn't find anything exciting on the room service menu. I ventured down to Americana Kitchen where I had sushi and a glass of Prisoner (my fave!) I ordered the crab and avocado roll and the spicy tuna roll. Both were incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious!! I'd read a review that described the crab roll as bland but I totally disagree! Both were better than similar rolls I've had at actual sushi restaurants in DC. The pour was generous and the service was top tier. The meal was on the pricier side but well worth it. I highly recommend!

Yelp
It's our first time visiting Loews Coral Gables and the restaurant inside. The restaurant is located to the right once you enter the lobby. It opens up to a courtyard outside, and if weather is agreeable you can enjoy your meal outdoors. Their Miami Spice lunch has a good variety. For appetizer, some of us have the Mango and Pineapple Gazpacho and the meatlovers the Calle Ocho Roll. The roll is a sushi treatment with plantain and mojo pork, which works out surprisingly well. As for the gazpacho, instead of a chilled soup it comes out more like shrimp and fruit cubes with some sauce drizzled on. My friend thinks it's mismarketing, though I don't mind too much as every bite was delectable and refreshing. For entree, the branzino is tender with a nicely crisped skin. As for the pork chop - we ordered three of them at our table, and it was like the Goldilock bears. One came out perfectly done - juicy and tender. One was so dry and tough, if anyone had come by to check on us we'd have asked for a re-do. One was so pink that even though I know it's ok to eat pork not cooked through (at least in US) I was like, wow that is red! The sauce and sides was delicious, but I am docking one whole star for that inconsistent cooking which should not happen at all in a better restaurant. As you exit the hotel, take note of the little house sitting across the street. The owner refused to sell his parents' home to the developers so here it sits in the middle of the swanky new buildings. Parking: There's not much street parking but garage is at this point inexpensive with plenty of spaces.

Yelp
Overall the food did have good flavor but holy smokes the portions are small. The salad is more like a side salad and the brazino comes a small spread of carrot purée. In conclusion we're going home hungry. I'd come back if my company was paying but on my dime I'll pass.

Yelp
This review is based on the Miami spice $60 dinner menu. Good vegetarian, meat, and fish options offered. Good service. Full bar and large wine selection. I felt like the ambiance lacked due to being in a hotel lobby. Not impressed by the appetizers - had the watermelon salad (nothing added to make it pop) and hamachi (okay, but again no wow factor). For entrees we had the grouper and the steak. The steak was perfectly paired with a corn creme. The corn surprisingly was the star of the show with bits of char and fried onions making it the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The grouper was cooked well with a side of pickled veggies that paired nicely. For dessert, we tried the two options offered - creme brûlée which was a nice combination of tangy/sweet, and the panna cotta which was a light and airy end. Overall, enjoyable but probably a one off.

Yelp
Excellent place on a very beautiful new part of Coral Gables, which it will be very popular in the coming years. It is a refreshing place with very friendly staff and beautiful location. They have a full bar, I recommend any of their suggested drinks. The pasta dish is amazing as well as their desserts and appetizers, The place is on the expensive side but it is worth it, I have to point out that if you go, dress nice to match the location so you don't look out of place with all well dressed patrons, park inside the building which is very convenient, I will definitely be coming back

Yelp
Absolutely the WORST EXPERIENCE in Miami. I was told by Jay the supervisor that table would be ready in 15 mins. I checked 3 times but every time was told table was not available. Saw lots of empty tables but told they were reserved. 90 mins later no calls, no texts. Arrogance, incompetence or plain racism? Don't know. Can't believe people like Jay are employed at such a high end restaurant. AVOID. Went across the street to a lovely local restaurant. Great service, outstanding food, friendly people. That is real Miami.

Yelp
Service is top class! Our server, Tayler was so sweet and wholesome! We were staying at Loews for a Vacay and decided to eat here and wow, awesome food! We tried the Plantain Empanadas, Crab roll, and Mushroom Risotto. Absolutely recommend the plantain empanadas, the crab roll was alright, definitely refreshing but slightly lacks flavor. The mushroom risotto was out of this world, creamy, cheesy, and just amazing!

Yelp
Food and service was great. Will defiantly come again. It's inside the hotel which is very nice and spacious.

Yelp
Great lunch spot. Highly recommend the empanadas and the truffle pizza. The service was great and so was the ambience.

Yelp
We walked in to this new hotel lobby bar and saw the restaurant was open for dinner. We decided to try it out and loved all the dishes recommended by our waiter. The tuna tostadas were so fresh and the scallops were also amazing! Very nice decor and clean. The plates are on the smaller side and a bit expensive but we enjoyed everything else! Would definitely come again for drinks if I'm in the area.

Yelp
I came to this restaurant last weekend with some of the girls after the moon over the Gables experience. We had actually run into some friends earlier that night who were eating there and they highly recommended it so we decided to check it out. The wait was about an hour, and even though it seemed long, we're glad that we waited. The restaurant is beautiful inside, has outdoor seating as well and is inside one of the newest hotels in the gables! We all ordered a dish and decided to share it amongst us and everything was excellent! We had the truffle pizza, rigatoni pasta, truffled fries, the farm salad with chicken, and a few other things. We were going to try the ropa vieja empanadas but the waitress misunderstood us and we ended up with the plantain ones instead. She was understanding and apologized though, and her customer service was great. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming again to try some more items.

Yelp
I would avoid this place. I was staying at the hotel and stopped in at the Americana several times, both with my two children and without them. The first time, we sat in the pretty outdoor areas of the restaurant which was empty - one table in use. The manager wouldn't let us sit there or and any of the inside tables, and wouldn't serve us anything unless we wanted the $75/person brunch (it was 3pm). We didn't, so they kicked us out. The breakfast is hit and miss - the potatoes were fried on the outside and uncooked on the inside, another day I ordered eggs Benedict and the eggs were raw on the inside and inedible. Had dinner there another night and it was great - I recommend the pasta. Last night I stopped in to get coffee and dessert and sat there at the bar for ten minutes while nobody waited on me in a mostly empty bar before leaving. Basically they treated me like I was lucky to be eating in their restaurant. No apologies for the bad food or bad service, and when they took the inedible food off my bill they acted like they were doing me a favor.

Yelp
Wonderful brunch and ambience on Sundays! Live music, Endless mimosas, Benedict eggs! What else can you ask for?

Yelp
My team and I were staying at the hotel for a salon conference. We met Kayla and she recommended we try try having dinner at the bar. I have to say that they have the most amazing staff behind the bar, Alessandro and Marco. They both make the most amazing drinks and i love that they know the menu so well. We all wound up eating at the bar our entire stay. Thank you Kayla for the recommendation! We all had such a great time!

Yelp
Interesting the service is excellent, our server a French sommelier from Bordeaux France, great food, the crab cakes , the ribs and excellent wine choice, Daou. It was a beautiful, nice ambiance with nothing missing. My girl and I were amazed immersed in class . Superb. 5 Stars *****

Yelp
Me and my mom were looking for a good breakfast place and were hoping to find one here, to which there was no avail. The gluten free bread fails to be anything better than lackluster- it was so gross I had to spit it out. The scrambled eggs on top had almost no ingredients- even the ones advertised in the menu. It'd be acceptable if the preparation was decent, in which it failed and was bland. The three egg omelette with potatoes was good, however they had forgotten the bacon and potatoes were over-seasoned. Even the tea was "just decent". Overall, an incredibly mediocre experience for the price point. Pretty furniture and a good atmosphere make most forget that it's just really not that good. Additionally, the service was decent, but could be better for the price point of the restaurant. One overwhelmingly good thing I have to say is that the restaurant is very clean. I couldn't find even one spec of dust anywhere!

Yelp
We were staying at the Lowe's and before we checked out we thought we'd get breakfast. This on-site restaurant seemed to be a good choice. I wanted to like this place, I really did! The atmosphere is spot on. A lovely place with an open air patio looking out over a beautiful courtyard, beautiful. And our hostess was cheerful and attentive. But that's were the good stuff stops. We were seated and greeted by our server and brought water and coffee. He took our order and we never saw him again! No refills on the water or coffee, never came back to see if the food came out correctly (another server brought the food) One and done! And unfortunately I can't say anything positive about the food. I ordered the eggs Benedict, an all time favorite. I so look forward to breaking into the soft boiled egg and having it run down onto the English muffin! Well, my egg was HARD BOILED! So disappointing. There aren't many breakfast spots in the area but next time I'll just drive somewhere!

Hope P.

Yelp
We were staying at the Lowes and wanted breakfast. The restaurant has lovely atmosphere and a pretty terrace so we decided to give it a try. Sat down, ordered coffee and water and then chose the eggs benedict. The coffee was mediocre and the eggs benedict was underwhelming. You know how the best part of an eggs bene is the soft boiled egg on top and you anticipate the runny eggs over your English muffin? Well my egg was HARD BOILED! We never got refills on our water or our coffee! Then they overcharged us! We expected a lot better for the prices! Over all, not the best.

Yelp
Great menu. Have been twice- at dinner sushi was fantastic. Problem is went twice for lunch and they say sorry we don't have sushi today. It is 25% or close of their menu. You either do it or redo your menu!

Yelp
Cocktails made by Michele are fabulous! Very delicious, creative and beautiful! She made our birthday celebration extra special!!!
