Yelp
A decent, although somewhat lowkey brunch place in Capitol Hill and it is not as busy as some of the other brunch spots nearby like Glo's, Skillet, etc. From the table set-up, this place is friendly for going solo or as a party of 2, with fewer tables for larger parties than that. They have an extensive cocktail menu, but after drinking a lot the past day, I opted out of trying the cocktails here.
We got the maple glazed pork belly and the Seattle Slam with sausage and sunny side up, substitute for French Toast. Maple glazed pork belly is relatively unique as I don't really see that in other American brunch spots in Seattle so far, though the pork belly itself was quite dry. It still has a nice flavor and crisp, and the sweet sauce made it a nice balance with the savory scallion scrambled eggs and corn pancakes (which has more of a texture of cornbread). Seattle Slam was decent - a bit basic but the sausage was very soft and juicy. The eggs were cooked properly. The French Toast was very crispy and buttery. Even though it costs $4.50 more to substitute, it was worth it. We also justified the cost as the maple glazed pork belly already has pancakes.
Service was pretty hands-off most of the time, but requests were fulfilled as needed promptly. It is an American restaurant, so more service is expected, but I guess the vibe here is different.
