Parking around the corner, there’s a few one way streets so don’t miss a turn. Ample and free parking. A group of friends met up for brunch. Nice and quiet atmosphere. Delicious drinks, we ordered a couple pitchers of margaritas. Ordered the taco dinner $18 comes with 3 tacos (you can mix and match), rice and beans. Beans were flavorful. The pork belly taco was my favorite. Delicious, a little crunch but not hard to chew with just the perfect small cut of meat. My daughter enjoyed some guac and chips. Would recommend to come back again. Food is authentic Mexican. Bathrooms are clean and service was fast and friendly.

Google
Chicken soup is soooooo flavorful.. yummy wish I had gotten a bigger portion. The tacos weren't bad. The poblano pepper was very tasty. The pork belly was just ok The fish taco would have been better but the fish was kinda cold. The horchata bites were delicious hot and fresh. Perfect amount of sweetness. Atmosphere was kinda loud, the waitress was nice . Overall cool spot for bar vibes

Google
came in the other day with my family, restaurant only had maybe 3 other guests there so it was not busy whatsoever. sat at the bar and the bartender gave us water and menus and forgot we existed. looked like there were only 2 staff working and while the bartender seemed busy, the other staff member spent her time talking to what seemed like her friends and wiping the same spot on the counter the entire time we were seated. left after waiting for another nearby restaurant and received much faster service elsewhere. wish I could say this was a fluke but received similar service the last time we were there, which is upsetting because the brussel sprout salad is very good.

Google
I absolutely love this place. I come at least once a week now since I found it. I can’t believe it’s never busy Friday evenings or Saturday evenings. More people need to try this place! The food is sooo good. Service is fantastic. Drinks are really really good. They have a signature drink every month that really puts a twist on margaritas. Definitely check this place out!!

Google
Top tier bartender named Kristen! I ate alone at the bar and she was friendly, gave great recommendations. I know it's a Mexican restaurant and their pork belly tacos ARE amazing, but if you like Brussel Sprouts at all, GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS ENSALADA! And add brisket. Or Pork Belly. It's deep with avocado and queso fresco and the pickled onions. The hibiscus guajillo honey dressing is AMAZING and sets it all off so perfectly. They also make their own sour, so get a margarita! The ladies behind me were raving about their Elotes and Poblano tacos and their Chorizo and Sweet Potato tacos. TLDR: Anything with the brisket is good here! Mezcal Margherita is fresh, atmosphere is good, GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUT ENSALADA (with brisket or pork belly) or the pork belly or brisket tacos or branch out and try the Elotes and Poblano tacos. I've eaten in 5 states this week and the ensalada from here has been my favorite meal out of every single thing I've eaten.

Google
I visited this establishment looking for a new spot to come to on Tuesday. I had the quesadila and 3 steak taco dinner. The quesadila was okay I had better. The tacos had no seasoning. The presentation needs work the plate looked like it had too much on it. I was also disappointed about my bill due to being over charged. I'm a traveling foodie and always check my account to see if the right amount comes out. After voicing my concerns to management it left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be back.

Google
Great service! Great ownership! Great location! GREAT FOOD! I know many places in the Chicagoland have good and tasty Mexican cuisine, but if you want a little something, "EXTRA" SABOR!!!!! By the way, La Cheeseburguesa; the Chipotle mayo, Chihuahua cheese, pickled jalapeños, homemade pickles, crispy onions, ancho BBQ sauce (don't forget the bacon and/or fried egg 😉

Google
We have been wanting to check this place out, but maybe our expectations were too high. Went on a Saturday afternoon, not busy at all. Ordered Steak Tacos and Steak Torta. The Torta; steak was such a small dice, that you could not really taste it and with every bite the diced steak would fall out from the sandwich. The only flavor dominate was the refried beans. Something was missing, maybe a bit more spice? Tacos were good, but again steak pieces were small or maybe it was just lacking something. The country music playing made us want to leave sooner than we had expected. Service was pretty quick and friendly. Will have to pass on returning.

Yelp
What a cute and unexpected surprise. The reviews of this place is polarizing but in my experience the food was good and the portions were great. The drinks I thought were delish and they had some original flavors, which leads me to believe that the mixologist really has fun. I met my cousins here, it was a group of 6 of us and we had lots of fun. I didn't take pictures of my food because I inhaled it. I would say, the food is traditional with an american twist. I heard the restaurant has a back story where it's veteran owned, I would ask about it because I wasn't sure if I remembered it well but I remember thinking it was cool to support veteran owned businesses. The service was great.

Yelp
I stopped by Americanos and ordered the taco salad with added chicken -- it was actually pretty good. The lettuce was crisp, and the other toppings were fresh. The chicken taco, though, was a bit bland, and the rice by itself didn't have much flavor. On the bright side, the service was great. The waitress and staff were attentive and made sure everyone was seated and taken care of in a timely manner. That definitely added to the experience.

Yelp
I made reservations for Saturday evening for 2. They have plenty parking in their lot. The waitress was so kind and explained the drink of the month & the menu to us. She even took our photo. The food came out quickly & was delicious! We will be back.

Yelp
Me and my friend ended up at the wrong restaurant, be careful because apparently Americano (no S is totally different) Tourist mistake lol. The food was ok, the menu wasn't much. Our waiter was very friendly. Homey, casual vibe being that a teenager was having a birthday party next to us.

Yelp
Your coffee is NOT good You provide NO cream or sugar. Instead you offer Horchata!!! Mexican men drink coffee!!
google avatar

Yelp
Great, place warm comfortable setting. Great waiter, friendly nice. The restaurant was clean modern.
google avatar

Chaka W.

Yelp
The service was great but the food just wasn't good. The combination of ingredients for the tacos were underwhelming or overpowering.

Yelp
Favorite Mexican restaurant ever the food is so good and it's the only place near me that sells Mexican coke. On non busy days the service is really good and fast. On busy days it can be slow but it's worth the wait. The inside is really cool there's a bar and it's modern. I really recommend It.

Georgia M.

Yelp
This is our favorite local spot for tacos and margaritas. It's super close to our house so we do takeout, date night, and it's in our rotation whenever we have guests in town. The fish, pastor, and sweet potato/chorizo tacos are solid.

Mzsweetie D.

Yelp
The service sucks the food disgusting the drinks terrible. Never never ever again..this is not mexican food they give them a bad name this is crap on a plate with flavored water..Don't waist your money. Whom ever says different on these reviews either works here or the owner and family members. TRUST !!! This star is a lie as well

Yelp
Everything is so good here. Food, staff and drinks. Chicken empanadas, ancho bbq sauce chicken wings, Brussel sprout salad, all the tacos and tortas. The pozole if u go on a weekend. Catering is always amazing and reasonably priced. Regular margarita the best around but the blueberry mojito is also great. Always so nice to our kids when we bring them too.

Yelp
Best tacos on the Southside. I love their elotes tacos. And their golden marguerita just adds to the pleasure.

Yelp
My partner and I came here for dinner tonight, it's a Wednesday night, and it's pretty busy. We seated ourselves per the signage at the door, and our server came by shortly after with paper menus, silverware, napkins and plates. He proceeded to bring us water as well while we browse through the menu. I ordered their Americanos Mule with Tito's vodka, and my partner ordered a can of Tecate. We initially asked for a can of Guinness because the menu says it, but apparently they don't even carry it according to our server so that's basically false advertising. We started with an order of chips & salsa which I love their salsa and the chips were crispy. We had to remind our server to bring it to our table. My partner and I did a tray of 6 tacos and ordered 2 more a la carte. I had 1 steak, 1 brisket, 1 fish and 1 shrimp, and my partner did all 4 chicken. I loved the steak, the brisket and the shrimp. The fish isn't really my thing because it's deep fried and they have the tartar sauce etc, which reminds me of fish and chips but on corn tortillas. I ended up trading my partner for a chicken taco and it was delicious. The food is really good, it seems like the kitchen is understaffed, but plenty of servers available. The service is decent and friendly. My partner walked up and asked for sauce for our tacos because our server had forgotten about it and we also neglected to mention it. I personally love my tacos with salsa verde, and it's like the milk to the cereal it goes together and is missing a piece without it. They also have plenty of free parking, and there's even a signage that says Americanos parking which is pretty cool. Overall, we had a good time and would come back. When I come back, I'll skip the fish tacos altogether and probably stick with the steak and the shrimp as those were my top choices. Everything is decently priced and nice portions, and I'd recommend Americanos to anyone in the area looking for Americanized Mexican / Tex Mex style cuisine.

Yelp
Very good food, fresh and authentic. Service is always good. Fast and friendly. The ambience is warm, inviting and fun.

Yelp
Food is delicious but small amounts.... The ambience is fun and inviting. The drinks are tasty and this is a great meeting place for friends.

Yelp
Tacos were amazing. The three of us ordered the 12 taco plate and had a lot of leftovers. Elote taco was amazing! They offered bottomless mimosas on Sunday as well.

Yelp
The restaurant is small and tightly compact with lots of seating. There is a large bar, and it's nicely decorated. The lighting is dim. The bathrooms were clean and modern. There is a small parking lot on the side of the building and street parking. There were about 10 patrons in the restaurant at 8 pm, so it wasn't crowded at all. We seated ourselves because no one greeted us at the door. A waitress came over after 15 minutes. She was very friendly and took our order. The salsa and chips were complimentary, and it took a long time for them to deliver them to the table. The chips and salsa were mediocre. The salsa was chunky and dark like the kind that comes in a jar. The chips were burnt tasting to me. I ordered Fries, Chicken Tacos, and Nachos. The chicken tacos were great, but they are small. The toppings paired well together and they were very tasty. The Nachos that I ordered were chicken, and I would order these again! It was a large serving. Overall, I did like this restaurant. The food was great. Unfortunately, the customer services needs to be improved.

Yelp
We held a luncheon for over 50 people here. The communication leading up to it was wonderful. The menu was fairly priced and the service once we arrived was above and beyond. The servings are generous and the food was delicious. I highly recommend here for large gatherings (and it's kid friendly).
google avatar

Kenya G.

Yelp
Relaxed atmosphere with a large bar and games playing Good service, but food just ok. Empanadas were really good but the enchiladas could have used more flavor/season. The kids enjoyed their tacos. Would probably return for drinks and appetizers.
google avatar

Yelp
Surprisingly one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had. We came for the cocktails and stayed for the food...wise decision on our part
google avatar

Dr. Albert B.

Yelp
The food is excellent. I'd call it modern Mexican. Drinks are really good too. It's not a burrito joint. It's a restaurant with table cloths and it's clean. If you want a burrito to have after drinking all night go someplace else.
google avatar

Ivis A.

Yelp
Before you go make sure you check the correct times that they are open. Our server was very nice but Al one of the manager's was very rude. After our bill came that already includes our gratuity. Was rude and rushing us out. When we tried to ask about the times he mocked us and said "I understand you like google leave me a bad review, I don't care that's what people do." which was uncalled for. You go to restaurants to have a good time. Not to be around people that feel entitled. Not going back here.
google avatar

Bradley R.

Yelp
I hate to leave a review with no pictures but this place was soooo underwhelming I didn't take any. Margarita and food quality were average at best. Service was fine and the place was clean. My problem is that the tacos and margaritas are in par with pepes at twice price. If you are in the area and want latin food find a better option this place is mid at best. Also final rant charging for chips and salsa....not cool
google avatar

Yelp
Can't believe I hand the noticed this spot before. Walked in placed a carry out order for three steak tacos, chicken nachos, a elote and pablano taco, and a brisket taco. The nachos and elote taco were a hit! I was colder on the steak tacos but my wife enjoyed them. We both agreed the brisket taco is a pass for us. The interior is pretty nice. Can't wait to come back for a taco and margarita soon!

Ann D.

Yelp
We got takeout Chicken Tinga enchiladas and chicken tinga and potato flautas and everything was insanely fresh and delicious. There was so much complexity to what was on-top of the salsa verde enchiladas and flautas-a creamy white cheese, corn, pickled jalapeños and fresh sliced avocado plus more. The rice and beans were well done and the flautas were crunchy perfection. I love that they used primarily paper take out containers and it was all well packed for take out. Next time I hope I can eat in.

Yelp
Cool replacement for Leonas on Western, went in there once to just drink, and once to eat. I got the pozole and a tecate. The pozole was really good, we also got chips and guac/salsa and they were good. I will say, I wasn't too thrilled that they barely had any of the drinks listed on their menu when I went, their craft beer list looked pretty good, as well as several other types of drinks, but the day we went, there was just margaritas, and like 3 domestic cans available, which is a pretty drastic difference. My friends got the tacos, which they said were real good, and the margarita, which they said wasnt that great. In total, food is good, I'd go back and get the tacos and other items, but the drink experience hasnt been the best.
google avatar

Tamie P.

Yelp
I've been going to Americanos since they opened. The food and drinks have always been good, but they just added Chicken Tinga Tacos to their menu and it didn't disappoint !! Everyone needs to try it! Oh, and don't forget to have a fresh margarita to wash it down!!

Yelp
Recently moved to Beverly and this place will become my spot for great Mexican food hands down! We walked over on a Wednesday afternoon right before happy hour ended (ends after 5p). We opted for inside bc the sun was directly over the outdoor seating. The inside was set up to support social distance and everyone had on masks who were moving throughout the restaurant. I'm only giving the 4 stars because we apparently came between a shift change and we sat for a while before we were greeted by a waiter. He was apologetic so that helped. My fiancé ordered the chicken enchiladas with the green sauce and they were amazing! Even the rice and beans were good. I had 3 tacos - chicken, shrimp and fish. All were delicious. Portions are pretty large. I only go thru two of my tacos. I will DEFINITELY be returning and HIGHLY recommend to those in the area or close. It's worth it. There is street parking.

Yelp
Dined in on a Wednesday night with a girlfriend visiting from LA. We ordered chips and guac, empanadas, the pork belly torta and the horchata puffs. Everything was fresh and delicious. If Pino is at the bar you are in good hands. The man works as hard as a single mom to give us good service. The food was hot and arrived promptly. The waitresses scowl were not as welcoming. The Guys are winning in service at this spot.

Christina B.

Yelp
I've been coming to Americanos for about 2 years now always liked the vibe food and drinks ,but they are not CONSISTENT. Seems like everytime I order food in or for pick up my order is wrong . I ask for flour I get corn everytime so I stopped asking I order chicken tacos I get steak .This is getting ridiculous.how hard is it to read and order or even check it before you send it out ? Very frustrating because I've spent a lot of money here. Also don't have time for you to "fix" my order. Now , I have no dinner thanks Americans for the multiple terrible experiences.
google avatar

Jakia D.

Yelp
I visited here during Phase 4 Reopening stage. I love Americanos, it really is a hidden gem. It's never too crowded, you're always seated right away. I love their drinks, they have a nice variety to choose from. They put a decent amount of liquor in the margaritas and they also have pitchers for $30. You get about 2.5-3 drinks per person with the pitcher. The salsa has a kick but it's so good! The tacos are great! I loved the al pastor. The chicken tacos are good as well. They recently updated their menu to offer a three taco dinner with your choice of tacos. The service is always great. Melissa is very friendly and helpful. They have happy hour as well from 3-5pm Tuesday through Friday. I also seen they have brunch too. Overall, I'd recommend Americanos. It's a great restaurant for quick taco dinner.
google avatar

Diana R.

Yelp
This may be the first Mexican restaurant I've been to where chips and salsa are not complimentary with a dine-in order. Could at least offer one round considering the price of everything else. Menu is somewhat limited depending on what you are looking for. I had the chicken burrito. It was good enough. No frozen margaritas. First round of drinks was served in completely different glasses with different garnishes than the second round of the same drinks which was puzzling. Decor is modern, but basic (think live, laugh, love decor). Service was meh. Can be crowded and feel smashed. Overall, I might go back if it were cheaper but as is, I'm good. I also miss Leona's which was in that location prior.
google avatar

Patti G.

Yelp
Overrated by far. In my opinion management needs a kick in the ass. My server was as quick as the slow ass bartender allowed her to serve the drinks and the food was warm at best by the time it was served to us. SLOW service ...... and management is in the back, face in the computer looking at numbers cus no one looked like they knew what they were doing. Bottom line is and we the name implies, Americanos does NOT SERVE AUTHENTIC Mexican food. A wanna be trendy restaurant who unfortunately thought variety is better than quality...
google avatar

George H.

Yelp
Great ambiance but food was questionable... It was my first visit but I wasn't very impressed. Best part of my visit was the Brussels sprout salad the rest of my food was okay.
google avatar

Patricia W.

Yelp
Fantastic steak enchiladas, great vibes with good host etiquette. Definitely try a platter. Good service

Cindy B.

Yelp
Americanos recently catered a holiday party for us and the food was amazing. There were so many compliments from our guests about the quality. We had a taco / nachos bar and Americanos provided everything we needed including chopping the veggies, salsa cheese - everything! We were also so happy with how affordable the food was in comparison to shopping and gathering all the items we could not have done it better or cheaper ourselves. Highly recommend this service for your own party!
google avatar

Jackie U.

Yelp
Wow this place was well above expectation! Shelby, our server, was amazing and went above and beyond. The skirt steak was delicious along with great roasted jalapenos and onions! Yum! The shrimp borrachos were full of great flavor. The sangria with whiskey was so good. The place was like a Mexican pub with a modern twist. The ambiance was comfortable and welcoming. Definitely coming here again!

Sandi B.

Yelp
This is the most unfriendly business that I have ever encountered! They are not people friendly. They are a self-absorbed business that could care less about the community! Their food is overpriced and not very tasty! Will, by all means, avoid this business!

Abigail E.

Yelp
Really good Mexican restaurants for the burbs. Great replacement for Leona's. Food came out fast & bartender was nice.

Yelp
The food at americanos is super good and its always hot and ready. The service is really good they are always nice and helpful. The inside is cool it's a nicely decorated and that's really it. I really recommend americanos

Yelp
It's very dark inside, service is kinda slow. Food was ok. It's close by my house so I may return again. Drinks are very strong!!!!

Yelp
I'd do 3.5 but it's not available. Was lucky to catch Taco Tuesday; nice way to try different flavors. First, a service tip: When a person says "I'll start with" and orders an appetizer, that means they'd like that first. Not "bring that and immediately bring my entree." Also, best not to run away before the person is done with their sentence. Which is what my server did when I said I'd like the tacos without tortillas because I don't care for corn tortillas unless they're crispy and theirs aren't. She asked if I wanted then in lettuce, I said no thank you, and I was going to add a side of guacamole but no chance was given; she turned tail and ran to the bar immediately. So that happened. The Chicken empanadas are delicious. The dough was fried to crispy perfection, light and airy, not greasy or over cooked. Chicken filling was moist and flavorful. Mild cilantro-lime ranch dip was spiced up nicely with the green salsa they bring with the chips. And they are huge, 3 large pastries. Enough for a meal for one. Well done. On to the tacos, which were charmingly served in little salsa bowls and which I ate with chips. First: Elote-poblano filling: Skip it. Just not special. With the green salsa and some of that ranch, it was fine on chips. I think they left off the chipotle mayo which would have helped. The brisket filling was very good. Moist and tasty. Didn't notice the cucumber salsa; the pickled jalapeños were just the kind you get in a jar, but the meat itself was very good with a dash of lime. The al pastor pork was excellent, with the pineapple, again very moist, not super greasy, very tasty. Would like a tad more pineapple. The tortillas, which she brought in the side at my request, are tiny and obviously fresh but not worth wasting carbs on when there are fresh chips. They were kind of rubbery and tasteless so I'm glad I skipped them so the meat juice wasn't wasted by soaking them. I enjoyed the smoky salsa that cane with the chips; the red and green in bottles were interesting as well. So suggestions are to offer frozen margaritas, small flor tortillas, and bring appetizers AS appetizers. Maybe turn down the music so people don't have to tell, they seemed to be competing for loudness. Otherwise, pretty good. Will come back to try other things and bring a friend.

Yelp
Americanos is a perfect example of "looks aren't everything" when it comes to food. Everything looked picture-perfect & instagram worthy. Their plating game is on point. Also, their tortillas are texturally perfect, and their service is great. Great re-model too. Very modern. Now the bad: First off, no pozole at 2pm because it's "not ready". If it's dinner-only, you should say so on the menu! What happened there? Okay okay, no problem, tacos it is. But while we wait, chips and salsa: perfectly crisp chips, but the most dismal selection of salsas EVER. They look great, but they are SO bland with zero spice (heat) and not enough salt/onion/garlic. The ones with the chips were beyond mild; there was no heat whatsoever. They tasted like jarred mild tomatillo salsa from a Frontera. Such a disappointment there. One mushroom veggie taco & one chorizo with sweet potato taco, because I like it weird. Fillings were abundant, and again everything looks great! But the chorizo is dry. Mushrooms are just okay... not the "Macho Taco" level greatness I am expecting. My mom got the fish taco and said that the breading wasn't crunchy and fluffy like it *looked*, but dense and oily. Not right. As you can already guess, it's the same story with her chicken taco which is very, very bland despite all the toppings. Where's the salt? The worst part for me is still the salsa. Two more come with our meal. One, the Habanero salsa is laughable. Not hot. Not tasty either. How is that even possible? Two, the Red Pepper salsa? There is an off-flavor. At best it's vinegar-heavy and at worst it's starting to go bad, which is very strange... and yep, bland again too. So, they're like "Mexican light" for people that can't handle spice or don't want to eat any authentic Mexican food. I don't get it. It's like they can't decide who they want to be as a restaurant. The American-Mexican concept isn't working. I don't see them lasting long here with all the phenomenal Mexican just to the south of them in Blue Island. Best part of the meal (besides the service) was the Mexican Coke. So, I don't think I'll be back as much as I want to try their pozole. Oh well. Also, their first lock in girls bathroom stall doesn't really work and the locks are literally screws which is really gross to touch. Finally, the guy in the entryway (not our waiter... maybe a manager?) lets the door close on us. Nice way to end the experience. Lol! Dear god... someone help this place!

Yelp
We finally had a chance to check out this new restaurant in Beverly Hills/Morgan Park area of Chicago. We heard that they had some items that could be made vegan so we decided to check it out. We arrived on a Wed. Night and there were about 8 tables full. The atmosphere is rustic modern. Very cute but a little plain. They could do a little more with the lighting and some wall art or something. Our waitress was very nice but very busy. I ordered a classic margarita and it was served in a short cocktail glass. Nice but nothing unique. The menu is very interesting and unique. They make their own corn tortillas from scratch and so not have flour. The pricing is very reasonable. It's like almost all small plates of ala carte. We started with the guacamole and chips which was really good but I thought a little pricey for the small portion,($6). The two salsas thatvghey brought to the table with a basket of chips were very tasty. One red and smoky, the other green and a little sweet. When we ordered we were able to remove the queso sauce from the sweet potato tacos and the chorizo from the portobello tacos. They both had tasty and unique condiments and veggies. We added avocado and she did not charge which was nice since we took things off. We also had the Chile rellenos empanada and that had a nice sauce and taste, we left off the cheese to make it vegan. We found out the side of rice was vegan but not the beans. The rice was a nice portion and tasty and light. They had some unique drinks and Mexican Coca Cola. In general we had a nice dinner and would definitely go back again. We are so happy they have vegan options.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, I and a friend visited in the 13th of April, thinking it was an Irish bar ordering drinks until we got the menu, but the food was delicious and I will definitely be back to order more food and try some of the drinks that was on the menu.

Nisha O.

Yelp
The waitress was nice but a little forgetful. I ordered some ceviche togo but never received it. We asked her for water once but she never brought it out so we had to remind her. However the food was pretty decent. I thought they would play a lot of Latino music since it's a Mexican restaurant but I believe it was country music playing. The restaurant is kid friendly. And the rest of the staff was very nice and helpful.

Scott S.

Yelp
Stopped in yesterday when it was busy. My group was seated, and the server immediately took our order. The meal took 45 minutes to come out of the kitchen, and the food was average. The server only returned once to take our payment, I wasn't given extra water or a refill on my soda. It was impossible to get her attention. The torta I ordered was so dry I almost choked without something to drink. I will never go back. I suggest you try another restaurant in the area if you're hungry.

Colleen R.

Yelp
The service at Americanos was fantastic. Angela was our server. She was so attentive, friendly, and offered great recommendations!! The manager on duty, Kristine, also checked in to see how we were doing, and we really enjoyed chatting with her as well! The staff was so welcoming. This place is a must try! Highly recommend the spicy margaritas, fish tacos, and empanadas!

Jill G.

Yelp
Food was so good! The service was fantastic! JP and Kristine were amazing and I will definitely be going again!
