The food was absolutely outstanding—authentic Italian flavors, perfectly prepared and presented. However, the ambience and service, while good, didn’t quite match the excellence of the cuisine. Still, a very enjoyable experience overall. With a few tweaks in atmosphere and service, this could easily be a five-star destination. Four stars!

Google
This has got to be one of the best dining experiences in Nashville. Amerigo has been a staple on Broadway for at 30+ years… if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. In a city that’s growing faster than it can handle and things changing on a regular basis downtown it’s comforting to see Amerigo’s still hanging strong. The atmosphere is perfect, the food, is superb, great bang for the buck and oh so delicious, and the staff is amazing. We showed up at 9:45 and even though the restaurant closed at 10:30 we were treated as if it were 6:00 pm. No one rushed us out or made us feel we were holding them up. So nice. If you’re visiting Nashville and looking for great food at a great price and super nice people, do yourself a flavor and eat at Amerigo Italian Restaurant.

Google
Amerigo Italian Restaurant was a great spot for dinner. I ordered the three cheese tortellini with chicken, a glass of the Malbec and the butter crunch cake for dessert. Also, the focaccia was delicious. Very filling meal but so good!! Shoutout to Victoria for your great recommendations!!

Google
I stumbled upon this place when I was searching for Italian in the area. At first the parking was a bit difficult to find but they did have a lot behind the restaurant that they validated for up to 3 hours. We were seated very quickly and the atmosphere was very nice. We had an amazing server who got us refills and everything we needed. The bread and oil was great. I tried a grapefruit fizz which was also very good. For my entree I got the cannelloni al forno and my friend got the shrimp scampi. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. I was blown away by this restaurant and cannot wait to visit again!

Google
One of the best Italian dinners I have ever had. You have to try the bruschetta, I’m not necessarily a bruschetta guy, but this melts in your mouth. My wife got the Mahi mahi special. I got the chicken parm, and added a meatball. The chicken, cooked so good, moist. The ball- big, moist and delicious. I thought the bill was going to be double.

Google
Very good pasta. The red sauce is very good. Bruschetta is different. Served warm not my favorite. Over all very good Italian restaurant. The fish Specials are delicious. Desert outstanding Tiramisu not traditional. Lastly the Filet is a well prepared cooked correctly delicious meal! Do not miss out Huntsville!I have to say Huntsville also a great meal with outstanding service.

Google
Ordered chicken marsala and it has no flavor with too much breading. Sadly it wasn't the taste I was expecting. Server was very professional and efficient and atmosphere was very good.

Google
Just had dinner, salmon with black bean salsa and green beans, wife had the Cannelloni al forno, chicken stuffed pasta with spinach, ricotta cheese and fresh herbs. Great flavors for both dishes, busy restaurant with plenty of tables.

Yelp
Genuinely don't have anything bad to say. Four of us walked in at 6:30pm and were sat immediately. The atmosphere was beautiful and had superb lighting. Our waiter, Aidan, was so kind, attentive, & personable. The food was amazing. We ordered the bruschetta & calamari for appetizers. For our entrees we split the risotto special & a pasta bolognese, as well as a bottle of white wine. Such a great experience. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food and service was amazing this past Sunday night. We got there kinda late and had to eat at the bar. The bartender was amazing and the chicken parmesan was one of the best that I've ever had. We stayed At the Graduate hotel so this was very convenient Give this place a try!!!

Yelp
Stop. Don't. Why? This is an upscale Olive g. Plane and simple. Or.... maybe it's because I ordered to. Pasta was over cooked on the eggplant parmesan. You cut it with a baby's finger. It was mushy. Pasta sauce looked bright red. And tasted bland. Definitely not from fresh tomatoes. More like from big restaurant industry cans. The cheese fritters.... are we serious? I thought when the cheese squeezed into my mouth I was going to vomit. This DEFINITELY has to be a kid appetizer. Now the calamari.... TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER 2 DISHES!!! I will be coming back for the calamari to go. It was really that good. But everything else... trashcan meal. Just horrible or no seasonings and bland. But again, I got mine to go. And we all know how restaurants will play you on to-go orders as a form of not wasting. But truth be told, the calamari was PERFECT!!! Hence the 2 stars! It's really worth the visit.

Yelp
Entered the restaurant with shorts, flip flops and t-shirt. Hostess looked me like I had three heads. Food was decent but not like it used to be. Tip to business, don't judge a book by its cover.

Yelp
I stopped in last Saturday night for an Italian dinner and was greeted immediately by the hostess. It was packed and there was an hour wait for the dining room. But the hostess said the bar had the same menu. No problem as I was by myself. Again, the bread and spiced EVOO was very good. This time, I decided upon the Veal Saltimbucco ($29). A Veal cutlet stuffed with Provolone cheese and sauteed spinach wrapped in Italian bacon. Served over Polenta and covered in a marinara sauce. It was OUTSTANDING! As a a digestif, I again ordered the Tito's Vodka Espresso Martini (Frothy) for $12. Another WONDERFUL MEAL at this establishment! Ambiance was casual but elegant. Service was attentive and charming. It was busy on a Saturday night, so it was a little loud at the bar with the basketball game on TV, but it was OK. The entree was EXQUISITE and I HIGHLY recommend it.
google avatar

Maxine M.

Yelp
The food is seriously good. The Gorgonzola fillet mignon is amazing. So is the spicy lasagna. Wonderful and warm service and the prices are reasonable (if anywhere really is anymore!)

Len K.

Yelp
Excellent Italian restaurant. Great ambience. We had drinks and the complimentary bread with olive oil dipping sauce. I had the gnocchi special. It was extremely tasty. We also had the peanut butter crunch cake...wow!!! Finished off our evening with espresso. Will definitely return if we are in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered the Pasta Pomodoro, flavor was great however I feel the amount tomatoes was a lot. The dish could be amazing with just a dash of tomatoes. Other than that, our server was great and the food came out hot and fast. The restaurant is beautiful, it's always nice to sit down at a restaurant with white table clothes and white butcher paper on top. To me it shows it's clean

Yelp
What an unexpected surprise and delicious meal! Pictures attached. Salads, main corses and an awesome dessert.

Yelp
Excellent service and food. Was so happy to find this place so close to our hotel we were able to just walk to it. The restaurant is perfect for a date but also to spend time with friends or family. The pasta was to die for!
google avatar

Tien T.

Yelp
It was my first time here and wow I loved everything here. The food and service were excellent, definitely exceeded our expectations. The wait time was short, but I recommend making a reservation if you want a table during rush hour. The price was really reasonable and didn't seem overprice at all. 3 hours parking validation in downtown was a plus. Happy to come back when I'm back in town.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't normally write reviews but this place knocked my socks off! We were just staying in the city on a roadtrip and wanted a good meal that was near our hotel. We were so pleased with the fast and excellent service, upscale environment, and affordability. Oh yeah, and the food was phenomenal! The crab cakes and chicken ravioli were delicious. Either we were starving or this place is the bomb (probably both). Shoutout to our server Anistyn!

Yelp
Highly recommend! Great service, drinks, and food! I was in Nashville for work staying at the Loews hotel and another co-worker of mine told me that I had to go here, so one night 3 of us decided to try it out! I was in town for a week, and I saw that they always had business so I knew it had to be good. If you're staying at the Loews it's a short walk to Amerigo. Since we walked I'm not sure about parking here. When we arrived, we put our name on the list and sat down to wait for a table, which didn't take long. The restaurant is laid out well...the bar is slightly elevated to the left when you walk in, the kitchen is in the back, and other seating is to the right. There isn't a large waiting area, but the entrance is big enough to fit a few people as they are waiting. We were sat at a table to the right near the window. Our server greeted us quickly and took our drink orders as well as informed us of the specials for the day. I ordered a Putting on the Spritz and it was delicious! I was able to order from the Early Bird menu which provides smaller portions of dinner options for a lower price. I ordered the small Tuscan Crab Cake for my appetizer and let me tell you: DELICIOUS! I love crab cakes and was astonished at the size of the crab cake when it came to the table. I honestly could've just had that as my entree. The crab cake came with greens, white bean salsa, and lemon basil butter sauce. For my entree I ordered the 3-Cheese Tortellini with blackened chicken and a spring mix salad. I know the pasta was a reduced portion, but it was still quite a bit of food. More than enough for now and leftovers. The pasta was cooked well, the chicken was seasoned and also cooked well. The sauce was creamy, flavorful and complemented the pasta and chicken perfectly. The salad was also a nice portion and fresh. I ordered it with balsamic vinaigrette and it was good as well. I love good Italian food, so I will be sure to return whenever I'm back in town.

Yelp
Best Italian in town. Feels very upscale but won't break the bank. I ordered the pasta carbonara and it was amazing, like nothing I've had before. The calamari is a great app. The staff are very professional and the place is cute and fancy.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. Our server was great and really took care of us. The Italian bread and dipping oil was delicious. We had the Friday special which was the Farmstead Chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the Italian bacon cream sauce was outstanding. We also had one of the seasonal menu items which was Benton's Bacon and Apple Cheese Pizza. I have never had apple on a pizza but they made it work nicely. The crust had just the right crisp and the bacon added tons of flavor. The prices appeared to be reasonable and what you would expect. We sat in the main dining but there is a bar area with a couple of televisions. I recommend if you are in the area.
google avatar

Ashlee L.

Yelp
Eliana was a great server. The carbanera was outstanding and the apple salad was also delicious. I'm 100% gluten free and the food was outstanding! This is our third time here and the food is as good as I remember 6 years ago.
google avatar

Mirko P.

Yelp
Lately, we started to go more frequently for dinner at this place. Again the food was excellent. We loved calamari as an appetizer. Fig & prosciutto pizza and Walnut Salad were delicious. We love Beer selection. Ambiance is standard for this brand. What I like to mention is so close to five star location, but is always some small thing. This time, despite we had reservation for 4 people and being already seated our server questioned us why we are seated at table for 5 people. Funny how the 2 people around us were seated at table for 4.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! It was my first time visiting since living in Nashville. 10/10 highly recommend. We went around noon and were serviced right away. It was a quiet, calm, soothing experience. The low music playing, the lighting arrangements, just everything was on point. Everyone should have the first experience that I had today. I will definitely be back again.

Yelp
Date night!!! I chose this place on a whim never having been to Nashville before. We started our dinner with an espresso martini and a blueberry, mint, bourbon drink. My husband unfortunately didn't love his drink but it did give off mojito vibes which he doesn't like mojitos so I think that could have been his lack of reading lol. For an app, we ordered the calamari and which we loved. I ordered the fettuccine imperial for dinner. It could be compared to a carbonara but in a regular cream sauce and included grilled chicken and mushrooms instead of an egg sauce and onions. My husband ordered the carbonara and I have to say I think his tasted better overall so I would order that if I went back. The vibes were great for a little date night although I do have to say for Saturday night it was very slow, many many open tables. Our waiter was great and we didn't feel rushed at all. Give this place a try!
google avatar

Natalie L.

Yelp
Good Italian restaurant. I appreciated that they offer free parking for 3 hours since parking can be a hassle in that area. The lot is just behind the restaurant so you don't have to search for street parking. We were able to get a table quickly despite being a Saturday night but it did get pretty busy afterwards. All the food was delicious. We got the PEI mussels, fettuccine imperial and the gemelli and sausage. The portion are a good size and very filling. Our server was very friendly but she would only bring my husband a new drink and never refilled mine until I asked.
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
The best service of any restaurant l've been to in the last several years. We just hade a pepperoni pizza with onions and no mushrooms-great! They were moderately busy...probably half full of people. I also sampled a local beer - Orange Wheat Ale from TailGate Brewery. Very good-very orangey. The food and drinks were good -but the service was phenomenal. Heather in the bar area went above and beyond. She knew about all the beers and gave good recommendations. We had been traveling all day and it was very much appreciated.
google avatar

Victor S.

Yelp
This is probably one of the better Italian restaurants that I've been to. Parking is available behind a restaurant. Be sure to validate inside with their QR codes. Great food with a decent wine selection as well as other beverages. We will definitely be back their services. Excellent service and ambience was great.
google avatar

Stephanie K.

Yelp
This restaurant was cool and reasonably priced . I got 3 glasses of Chardonnay and a crab cake that all equaled to $35. The crab cake was good and fresh. Bartender wasn't that friendly but being black out here on downtown Nashville Hayes St that's not common.
google avatar

Larry W.

Yelp
Service was good, the food was standard, and the price was high for the quality. The pork chop was a large cut but very dry with lots of sodium in the glaze. The lasagna was mostly pasta with very little sauce/meat. Not recommended, though the ambiance was nice. Don't go for the food...
google avatar

Kathy D.

Yelp
I will not rate. Zero on cocktail, zero on food. Zero on service. This is not the same place and won't go back. We are so sad never had a bad experience in 10 years until tonight.
google avatar

Fatima C.

Yelp
The appetizer was delicious!! The shrimp bisque is a MUST!!!! However, during my party's and I's time there, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive and had no one check in on us during that time. Once people from our group questioned this to the host, we were met with the unfortunate response that our food order was never placed. As well that our waitress disappeared and no one at the restaurant knew where she went! We ended up leaving without paying (luckily) but the food seemed delicious. The service however, not so much.
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
Fantastic Italian spot right next door to White Limozeen. If you're looking for classics like chicken parm, lasagna, etc. this is your spot. Had an Aperol spritz and it was delightful! They have complimentary bread as well. My husband had the chicken parm and I had a chicken dish and both were excellent. Prices and portion sizes are fantastic. White table cloths and service is great. Make a reservation- they were packed on a weekend night.
google avatar

Yelp
Amerigo is consistently good...I actually had dinner there twice this week while in town on business. Service is always excellent and friendly - my thanks to Jay (bartender) and Niyah (Hostess) for making my visits very pleasant! Food is always very good - try the veal piccata with crab it is delicious! I had the lasagna the other night, a huge, but delicious dish! I can always count on Amerigo to be an excellent dining experience - thank you Amerigo Nashville!
google avatar

Carly J.

Yelp
Service was great and friendly! Very cozy and intimate venue. The food is fantastic. Complimentary bread with oil and three hours of parking. Large portions. Great price as well! Thank you for a lovely evening!
google avatar

Mayra R.

Yelp
Elegant environment, courteous service and delightful plates. It's been along time since I had the opportunity to experience such a tasteful Italian cuisine.
google avatar

Mike V.

Yelp
Had dinner here last night with friends who love this place. I ordered the Veal Marsala and a Caesar salad and both were just ok...that's it! Neither anything to write home about. In fact I couldn't taste any Marsala and there were only a few mushrooms. My friends ordered the Chicken Piccata which was very good. We also had the Calamari Fritti which was good too. I will say, the restaurant is nice and cozy and our server was very sweet.
google avatar

Linda M.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. The atmosphere was authentic. Service was great. Food was awesome! I ordered the lasagna. Portion size was large. You could taste the quality of ingredients used. Prices were reasonable.
google avatar

Bill S.

Yelp
PARKING problem. The food and service are as good as ever. However, they WILL NOT validate your parking if you pay for it. Essentially a $21.00 upcharge on your dinner check. Not sure if I will return.
google avatar

Jeff A.

Yelp
Decided to try try this eatery outside of downtown and was pleasantly surprised at how awesome this restaurant was. We were greeted quickly and seated immediately. The service staff was super pleasant even on a busy night answering all our question. We arrived in time for the early pricing which is was incredible considering it's the same size serving as the regular items. We both had Caesar salad and lasagne which both exceeded our expectations. If you like Italian food, fair prices and awesome service be sure to check out America.
google avatar

Graham T.

Yelp
I've been here a few times for family reunions, and the food is exceptional. The service doesn't take too long, the menu is wide, and the dining area is comfortable. The only thing holding Amerigo back from a 5-star review is the restaurant's interesting takes on original dishes. Usually an establishment's spin on a tried-and-true food is what earns it extra credit in user reviews; however, at Amerigo the changes made to some straightforward menu items are... strange. I decided to try the pizza last time I went, and there was no tomato sauce on it, instead tomatoes on top to replace marinara sauce. With other dishes that follow this pattern, there are many more flavors added in. The Cheese Fritters appetizer was spicy, which I didn't expect. Overall a good place to eat with good food, no matter if the menu choices can be a little different from your typical cuisine.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
ordered dinner from the bar, speedy service! food was delicious and service was excellent. Nice size portion...took a box home with enough for lunch the next day!

Janet K.

Yelp
Avoid!!!!! They delivered the wrong food. When I complained, there's no one there. I we had to find the waiter who was hanging out with co-workers. Service was mediocre. .. nothing done to correct the order. I sent a letter and this was no response. Strongly recommend you find a better restaurant.
google avatar

Chris E.

Yelp
Food is always good, but DO NOT get the bruschetta. Worst bruschetta I've ever had. Great ambiance and service as always, and the pasta--whether it's tortellini or Angel Hair is always very good. I would probably prefer Maggiano's or Coco's in Nashville, but Amerigo's comes in a strong 3rd.
google avatar

Arlene W.

Yelp
EXCELLENT service! We visited for the first time for a wedding rehearsal dinner on a Friday night. I have an unusual food allergy of rosemary and the servers were VERY attentive and told me what I could or could not eat and even made me a gluten free bread. Which was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Chicken Piccata with no capers and a Spring Salad with honey mustard. I've not had the chicken before, but my options were limited. It came out with capers and had to go back, but they were quick to bring out another dish. Having never had this dish before, I didn't know what to expect and unfortunately I did not care for it. VERY lemony. Salad was yummy! Hubs got Chicken Parmesan and cleaned his plate! He said the rosemary bread was very good as well. Due to my food allergy it's not a place I'll likely go back to, but that's on me. I can say the service is excellent and attentive and they went out of their way to accommodate me whereas other restaurants don't. Thank you!

Yelp
We stayed at The Graduate, and because it is a fairly expensive room, I wanted to spend as much time at the hotel relaxing. I googled family friendly restaurants near the hotel and found Amerigo. I had not realized it was across the street from the hotel until we checked in! Perfect! We had an early dinner reservation around 6PM and the place filled up shortly after with patrons waiting to be seated. Service was excellent; our server was very friendly and helpful. My husband ordered the gemelli & sausage pasta and I ordered the Tuscan Ribeye which came with asparagus and asiago cheese and leek smashed potatoes. We both enjoyed our food. My steak was cooked to order, very flavorful and tender. Be aware that the kitchen is open so you will smell like the restaurant when you leave. For us this was no big deal as we planned to spend the night in the hotel.
google avatar

Kayla H.

Yelp
Yum! My partner and I were able to get reservations last minute on a Saturday night. The waitress was super nice and welcoming. The bread is so good, I couldn't stop eating it. I had the Cannelloni and he had Chicken Parm - both were delicious. I was impressed with the prices as well. Would love to visit again next time I'm in the city!
google avatar

Alesia M.

Yelp
My husband and I absolutely love Italian food! We found this place on our recent trip to Nashville and I'm so glad we did! We were in between events for the day and chose Amerigo for lunch. They had the classics of course. Lasagna, spaghetti, fettuccini, chicken Parmesan, etc. I ordered the Caesar salad and the fettuccini. It was sooo good! Definitely hit the spot. We also ordered some cocktails and they were both strong and delicious! Our waiter was super friendly and the service was great. It didn't take too long for us to get our food, but we went at a good time. As soon as we left it was packed! If you're looking for a cute Italian place with classic delicious food, good prices and great service, choose Amerigos!

Yelp
Clean and very busy .. food was so so ... now I must disclaim, I am vegan . Very hard to eat in an Italian restaurant being vegan .. So many things I would have wanted to try but my Lyme disease doesn't allow it .. anyways .. I had a spring salad with balsamic dressing .. that was as expected . Bread was served with oil ... looked okay but I didn't try it ... The pasta dish I had was spaghetti noodles with red sauce and a bunch of cherry tomatoes..again not what I would order there normally but it was vegan .. um .... It wasn't bad but wasn't great .. I'm also an Italian food snob from up north .. few things that were strange ... no parm cheese on table or offered .. no crushed red pepper flakes . I can't eat it , but no one was offered at the table .. secondly , the parking sucks . If you have a large vehicle like a truck, good luck to ya ... they do having parking vouchers inside . Lastly , our waitress was very nice . Very ...however we finished the meal and were visiting with our Italian side of the family from up yonder and I felt rushed, like they needed the table . I felt like pay and get out . I would eat here again but it's not the best Italian food I've ever had .. our family that was visiting from the homeland, ubered over from their hotel... now that is nice , they didn't worry about parking ... the rest of the party I ate with was funny to see their facial expressions when food came out ... uncle Dave ordered fish and pasta . Yeah .... It ain't like up north ! And smaller portions .. to be honest , I left hungry .. ug... forgetaboutit

Yelp
The food was delicious! The service was great! This place had a nice atmosphere. The noise level was moderate. Not too loud. Enjoyed it!

Yelp
Had a delicious dinner here. Steak was cooked perfectly. Good salad and bread. Service was exceptional. Will definitely be back when in town.

Yelp
Best value on Nashville for food. Great servings, would recommend the shrimp with the angel hair pasta. Key lime pie is outstanding!
google avatar

Bert E.

Yelp
Went there last night and the food came out quick which was nice but the waiter was rude. Not the worse thing but then the food came out and it wasn't very good. Had the pepperoni pizza and the chicken Parmesan and it wasn't that good. The only thing good about this place was how fast the food came out which can be considered a plus or a minus.

Yelp
I'm new here from the Bay Area and looked on Yelp for eateries near where I was staying. The reviews were relatively good so we decided to check it out. Customer service matched every bite. Loved it! I highly recommend the mushroom ravioli & the calamari with the green sauce. Yes! Follow @sutonashari on Tiktok and IG for more foodie adventures

Yelp
Service was good- wine was great. Food was good but not over the top great. Liked that we could grab a table by the bar without a wait.
