Highly recommend! Great service, drinks, and food!
I was in Nashville for work staying at the Loews hotel and another co-worker of mine told me that I had to go here, so one night 3 of us decided to try it out! I was in town for a week, and I saw that they always had business so I knew it had to be good. If you're staying at the Loews it's a short walk to Amerigo. Since we walked I'm not sure about parking here.
When we arrived, we put our name on the list and sat down to wait for a table, which didn't take long. The restaurant is laid out well...the bar is slightly elevated to the left when you walk in, the kitchen is in the back, and other seating is to the right. There isn't a large waiting area, but the entrance is big enough to fit a few people as they are waiting.
We were sat at a table to the right near the window. Our server greeted us quickly and took our drink orders as well as informed us of the specials for the day.
I ordered a Putting on the Spritz and it was delicious! I was able to order from the Early Bird menu which provides smaller portions of dinner options for a lower price. I ordered the small Tuscan Crab Cake for my appetizer and let me tell you: DELICIOUS! I love crab cakes and was astonished at the size of the crab cake when it came to the table. I honestly could've just had that as my entree. The crab cake came with greens, white bean salsa, and lemon basil butter sauce.
For my entree I ordered the 3-Cheese Tortellini with blackened chicken and a spring mix salad. I know the pasta was a reduced portion, but it was still quite a bit of food. More than enough for now and leftovers. The pasta was cooked well, the chicken was seasoned and also cooked well. The sauce was creamy, flavorful and complemented the pasta and chicken perfectly. The salad was also a nice portion and fresh. I ordered it with balsamic vinaigrette and it was good as well.
I love good Italian food, so I will be sure to return whenever I'm back in town.
