First time flying into Florence, and the airport was smaller than I expected. Immigration was quick with only two counters, and baggage claim was right there with just three carousels – very straightforward. Once you step outside, signage is clear and easy to follow.
Getting into the city is super convenient. You can hop on the T2 tram just outside the terminal. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the city centre, and only costs €1.50. Trams run every few minutes and drop you right by the main train station. Taxis are also available just outside, costing around €22–25 depending on traffic.
All in all, a smooth and stress-free arrival. Florence Airport might be small, but it’s well-organised and easy to navigate – a lovely start to exploring the city!
