AMERON Davos Swiss Mountain Resort (Davos, Swiss Alps) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Ameron Swiss Mountain Davos Resort is exactly what it sounds like: a mountain resort from the Köln-based purveyors of high-design luxury boutique hotels, set in one of Switzerland’s most famous Alpine resort towns. In fact, while Davos may be best known for the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting, it’s an extremely impressive winter-sports destination, and Ameron’s guests are more likely to be here for leisure than for business (though it can certainly handle both)." - Tablet Hotels

"This centrally-located four-star hotel combines slick rooms and mountain views (all rooms have a balcony), with excellent facilities for children.  As well as a kids’ club and games room stocked with Lego and board games, there’s a large pool that hosts a daily Splash Time (2-4.30pm), when it belongs to the kids. The adults-only sauna offers the perfect escape for parents to relax and unwind. The Cantinetta restaurant has a varied children’s buffet, while typical Swiss fondue and raclette are served in the Cervolino restaurant, using a variety of cheeses from a local dairy. AMERON Davos is more than just a hotel—it’s a luxurious place where you can relax and feel completely rejuvenated. The facilities are beyond perfect, especially the spa, which has everything you could possibly imagine in terms of amenities and equipment. Everything is spotlessly clean and smells wonderful, all the products are of high quality, and the spa area itself is quite spacious with many activities to enjoy. Regarding the restaurant, it’s good to know that they use the purest and freshest ingredients, and the service is prompt and professional! The rooms are large and comfortable, equipped with everything you need to ensure the best possible stay. A big bravo to the housekeeping team for maintaining such outstanding cleanliness throughout the hotel! And finally, a huge bravo to the reception staff for their quick assistance, kindness, and absolute professionalism! A special mention goes to Mr. Markus (the spa therapist)—if you ever visit the AMERON Davos spa, you must book a treatment with him! And lastly, to the wonderfully polite reception staff: Laura, Antonia,Nattvaranne and Iva! One thing is certain: I will definitely return for a longer stay!

We enjoyed every minute at the hotel. The place is just beautiful and you can tell the attention they put in every detail. Breakfast is great, and the SPA had everything we needed. The fact that is right next to the pool was perfect for us, because we could have fun with our children and combine it with a relaxing sauna session. All the staff is very nice and kind, and if you are lucky you get to meet Shiva, the Bernese Mountain dog :) There's also this great deal, and they cover 50% of your mountain lift if you booked your stay directly with them. An overall great experience!

The hotel is conveniently located in Davos, allowing guests to explore the area on foot if they prefer not to use the bus. The building itself is well-maintained and in good condition. he service did not fully meet our expectations. Despite the admirable values of the owning family, these were not consistently reflected in the staff's approach. Unfortunately, our room was not adequately cleaned, even after requesting a second visit from housekeeping, stains remained as only thinks were cleaned which were actively shown to the housekeeping. Additionally, the complimentary mini-bar selection was quite limited (poor), 2 beers, 1 orange juice, 1 Coca-Cola, 1 Coca-Cola Zero and 1 small (20 cl) bottles of white and red wine, as well as a mini pack of chips. The hotel’s website could benefit from more accurate room descriptions, as rooms facing north do not receive sunlight, resulting in shaded balconies the entire day (February 2025). A clearer representation of this would be appreciated as all rooms seem to be the same with or without bathing tube, offered at the same price in 3 different categories. When we asked the front desk for an alternative room with more light, towards the south, we have been told "first comes, first serves", something not acceptable for our booked daily rate of CHF 500.-. During our stay, we felt that the staff could have shown more initiative in addressing concerns and making guests feel valued during their stay. Noise from guests walking in the corridors with ski boots was also noticeable, and for those hoping to sleep in, early morning activity could be disruptive. Our visit was intended for relaxation and to enjoy the wellness facilities. Unfortunately, the sauna and steam bath were only accessible from 11 AM onwards. As the hotel is popular with families, children till 14 years are permitted in the pool area until 6 PM, teenagers aged 16 and above are allowed till 10 PM. Personally, I find it uncomfortable to be in a textile-free zone when teenagers above 16 are present.

Lovely hotel with excellent amenities. The staff are polite and very helpful. We were upgraded to a south facing suite on the 4th floor. The view was fantastic.

Very high quality hotel, excellent service, comfortable rooms and fantastic spa. Near to everything, public transportation. Got delicious food, it was a great experience, and fulfilled all the expectations. The price is right for the high level of this hotel.

AMERON Davos Swiss Mountain Resort is a modern alpine hotel designed for active travelers, families, and business guests. Located between Davos Platz and Davos Dorf, near the Jakobshorn base station, it blends urban comfort with mountain charm. With clean lines, panoramic views, and wellness facilities that rival those of many five-star resorts, it’s a perfect base for enjoying the outdoors without compromising on style or convenience.

Great location, well appointed rooms, and very nice touches like you call for warm milk with honey at bedtime, pillow menu, relaxation tips, etc! The bar is good, and staff is super courteous. The Italian restaurant can be a hit or a miss at dinner, would recommend not to go for half board but rather order ala carte from the full menu. The breakfast is average.
