Amfora Hvar Grand Beach Resort

September stay in Junior Suite. Room: Old and outdated style with distinct signs of over 50 years of wear, tear and patchy repair. Non-existent sound proofing on the room doors. Even casual talking from passerbys in the corridors sounds like the door isn't even there. Nonsensical design decisions like weirdly placed power outlets, hair dryer affixed to a drawer, no face-facing light by the bathroom mirror, + other misc. I doubt it'd kill the hotel's budget to have a plant or three for each room - even if plastic. White light with white walls is very sterile. Service: Kind, welcoming and eager to help. We were displeased with the first room due to noise, but within mere 30m of notifying the hotel we had a new room at a much more quiet wing. Special thanks to Marisa! Lovely Narcisa welcoming us every morning with a smile and asking for feedback - whatever it might be. Even organising a special dinner seating for us at the hotel restaurant. Location: Impeccable. The most gorgeous outdoor pool area we've ever been to, spitting distance from the beach, and the panoramic view from our room is simply stunning. The hotel is at a ~10min walking distance from Hvar Old Town hosting countless quality dining areas, tours, and romantic alleyways.

Absolutely amazing view from the balcony overlooks the resort and the beautiful Adraitoc Sea!! The room was quite small, though tidy!! The resort is nice and the private beach is pretty, though be sure to bring your water shoes!! Lunch by the pool is recommended. The terrace overlooking the property and sea is also a nice place to relax during your stay here!! The Old Town is a bit of a walk away, but it is easy to traverse, and great to come back to the splendor that is Amfora!!

Our stay here for 1 night was perfect. It was pure relaxation from when we got in. I would recommend NOT following google maps from the ferry to here. We ended up going up hills and stairs when you can just walk the waterfront the entire way from the Hvar ferry port to get here. The staff were extremely helpful from the moment we checked in. We were given extra time to lounge by the pool after checking out before we needed to catch the next ferry in the afternoon. The buffet breakfast was amazing and constantly refilled. The staff even offered a service to take our luggage to the ferry port so our bags will be at the port when we arrive later. Outstanding! We cannot fault our stay here and just wish it was longer. Thank you.

PROS - Breakfast is great, lots of choices, food is good - Location is convenient, very close to the centre, 10 minutes walk - Room was fine - Big pool with loungers CONS - The hotel is very outdated; the outside structure seems to be falling into pieces - The walls/door are thin, you will hear everything if someone walks by your room (or even the corridor) - The pool area definitely needs renovations - There are 2 huge floors with "ballrooms" - they seem to be abandonned floors with tons of storage and god knows what; it's actually pretty creepy - The gym looks like a closet; it's small and sad - Using the laundry service is a complete rip off, do NOT use it unless you don't care about money Overall an okay stay but I wouldn't recommend staying here. There are so many other options around. I'd try something else.

We really enjoyed 2 days at this hotel in September 2025. The room was spacious and clean, had everything we needed. The bed was really comfy. We spent 2 days by the pool, relaxing and having a few drinks. Ivan was really polite and attentive with our orders. Location was a 10-15 stroll along a nice path to the old town.

It was truly a wonderful stay! A special thanks to Elio for kindly allowing me to check in despite my booking the wrong date, and for upgrading my room — I’m deeply grateful. I also want to thank Kata for her warm and gentle service. The pool was fantastic, the kids had so much fun, the room was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. Every part of the experience was perfect, leaving me with the most wonderful impression of Hvar. Thank you so much! 🙏

I stayed at Hotel Amfora for three days during my Europe holiday, and it was by far the best hotel I’ve experienced, not just in Europe, but anywhere in the world. The location is unbeatable, with countless amenities and everything you could need within easy walking distance. The bar offered great food and service, the rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The lobby was clean, spacious, and had a modern, welcoming feel. The pool area was fantastic, with plenty of sun beds and an excellent food and drinks menu. Just a 1–2 minute walk from the hotel is a stunning beach with hotel-managed sun beds, absolutely beautiful. I’m already planning to return here for my honeymoon. Hotel Amfora offers breathtaking views, outstanding service, and a truly memorable stay.

Staying at this hotel for so many years and what I like to most it's a service! Loyality and dedication from personal it's absolutely priceless. Anita Bartender is exceptional no matter how long time am not present at this property she remembers and welcomes you as part of family, and that's real hospitality! Amfora Hotel is so lucky to have entire personal super dedicated from front desk all the way to housekeeping! Trust me i know what am talking about as I changed hotel's on the daily base.
