I had a wonderful dinner at amical one Saturday evening. I was able to sit right down despite not having a reservation, and the heated patio was quite pleasant. The place is quiet with a nice ambience, and the staff were friendly and professional. I settled on the French onion soup and the gnocchi. The onion soup is phenomenal, and is a must have if you like that type of soup at all. It’s very rich and full of onion flavor. The gnocchi made for an interesting meal. It was delicious, and had some flavor combinations I don’t think I’ve had before with the peas, fennel, and chicken sausage mixed in. The quality of the food is excellent. I’d definitely recommend amical if you’re looking for a more upscale restaurant for a nice meal.

I adore this place, the food has evolved yet also stayed true to the roots it has grown throughout its time in Traverse City. The menu is perfectly balanced with modern and classic flavors brought together by a kitchen that clearly brings their expertise to each plate. the desserts cannot be missed either, recently had the fantastic creme brulee and it blew me away, the custard was light as air and the vanilla paired with the raspberry refreshed us after a warm summer walk. The patio is the place to be especially when the sun is pouring over the city. Gretta took great care of us and I would highly recommend her to any of my friends. Jeff is the manager and always seem to take the extra time to take care of any of the guests needs, with a smile and very positive vibe. This place has been a staple of my visits to Traverse City and has shown to be one of the city's best. Vegetarians and Vegans can both find options as well as classic french butter lovers. Trust the servers wine recommendations, pick an extra plate or two for the table, and sit back and relax, you will not be disappointed!

We were so excited to get a table at Amical on a Saturday night! Our server was so kind and attentive and the cocktails were inspiring and refreshing (the crisp martini and the watermelon gin). Dinner was perfection! We got the halibut (poached in butter) on the trout set up (truffle risotto, crisp green beans). Every bite was an experience. We also got the filet. It was cooked as ordered and so flavorful. For dessert, we had the raspberry crème brûlée - the custard was creamy and the addition of raspberries was delightful. This is a must if you are looking for a good spot to eat.

I came here for my birthday and it was amazing! I lived in Detroit for a while and I’ve really been missing the different kinds of food and creativity you could find because of all the options. This place scratched that itch! I got the duck confit with lentils which was so savory and rich. It was so decadent and perfect for a birthday dinner. Also pictured is my sister’s meal, the bolognese on polenta. I had a bite which was amazing, she also loved it and said the polenta was a fun twist on a traditional bolognese and went really well together. My fiancé’s father is rather picky and they were able to change one of their meals around for him a bit. I believe he got a steak, he said it was one of the best meals he’s ever had. My fiancé’s mom is a little picky but not as bad, she got the daily special and loved it! It was something with pork and dandelion, very creative which is why it’s hard to remember exactly. I was so surprised she picked it but I’m so glad she tried something new! Everyone was raving about their food during the meal and even days after mentioning how amazing the meal was. Our server, Amanda, was funny and so attentive. She really was the cherry on top of a perfect 30th dinner party, so thank you all for such a perfect night!

Google
Amical is always top quality, and their fotmat of specializing in various recipe books that they rotate throughout the year means the menu is different every time you visit. This week it was their Native American recipes , specializing in dishes from the Dakotas/Minnesota. We chose their rabbit, with American vegetables. Also tried from their regular menu the airline Chicken, and topped it off with their signature raspberry creme brule. This is a must-try in Traverse City, and we try to be there at least once per year.

Google
At the time I had lamb shank that was on the menu for a limited time. It was alright, could have been more tender and flavorful. Service was okay, could have been more attentive. The bread was good. French onion soup was flavorful and hot on a cold day. Jumbo lump crab cakes were decent. Raspberry creme brulee was good. Prices were a little expensive.

We were seated promptly. The food was delicious. Loved the octopus and Edward Island oysters. Any menu questions we had were answered without resistance and she was so helpful. The butter cracker was fantastic very unique. Will definitely return in the future and recommend.

Google
Our service was wonderful. The cocktails were not good. They were all overly sweet and hard to drink. One of the steaks ordered was ordered as medium-well and it was still very raw in the middle. They took it back and threw the entire plate of food and cooked it more so everything was mixed together. When they brought it out, there were still raw pieces. $60 is a lot to spend on a steak that isn’t cooked correctly and then “recooked” but still raw. Overall, disappointing and probably wouldn’t be a first pick to come back. The French onion soup was very good

Yelp
The food was amazing and timed perfectly. Our server was informative and suggested the perfect entree. We had the country pate which was good and paired well with the grainy mustard. We then split the asparagus salad which the kitchen kindly divided on two plates. The salad was so fresh and good! Then we split the pork chop which was tender and bursting with unique flavors in the accompaniment of the sides. This was definitely was one our favorite meals. The desserts looked amazing but we were too full to try any this time. Cute atmosphere and in better weather there are some outdoor tables

Yelp
Unfortunately a few months ago in March, on our last visit we did not having a great time, my family and I decided we'd give Amical another chance. Our experience like last time was disappointing from start to finish... The service left a lot to be desired - Out server Andrew was not only inattentive but spoke to us in a rude and condescending manner, which honestly made the whole atmosphere uncomfortable... I get people can be frustrated but don't talk to me like I'm stupid for asking questions given our last experience. To make matters worse the food did not meet expectations. The wine parings we were suggested together were bland, flavorless, and the food lacked the freshness you'd hope for the price tags. If we're spending 250+ on dinner I'd expect the quality to be decent. Overall, we gave Amical another chance but I feel both the service quality and the food quality were well below standard. Was really hoping given time it would have been better, clearly the wait was not long enough. But hey, atleast this time we didn't get food poisoning!

Yelp
Amichal is a truly romantic and beautiful little gem! Although the place is small, they've managed to create an elegant and cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you've stepped into something special. The service was outstanding our waitress was incredibly kind and went above and beyond. We actually think she was also the bartender, and she made our evening feel even more lovely and memorable. From the moment we walked in, we felt special because of the way we were treated. We were seated at a lovely table and ordered two desserts: the Hazelnut Tart and the Crème Brûlée with Raspberry Purée, along with two mochas. The Hazelnut Tart was absolutely divine! Every single bite was better than the one before. My husband really enjoyed the Crème Brûlée, saying the raspberry gave it a delicious twist. The mochas were both great, although we noticed a difference in strength , mine was a bit stronger while his was more balanced, which was slightly disappointing but not a deal-breaker. Overall, it was such a lovely experience. The ambiance, the desserts, the drinks, and especially the exceptional service made us feel so valued and welcomed. We're definitely coming back to try the food next time!

Yelp
Returned to Amical for the Table D'Hôte dinner special and had a wonderful time! A great selection of craft brews from Bells, appetizer, small serving main course, and ice cream all for $29! Even though the portions were smaller, you are definitely filled by the end with all of the food! The Hanger Steak was delicious and cooked to a perfect medium rare with a balsamic reduction served with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The perfect excuse for an early dinner! Would definitely come back to try more items on this menu. As always, the wait staff was fantastic and provided excellent service to me, my wife, and our one year old who happily enjoyed coloring with the crayons provided by the restaurant.

Robert H.

Yelp
Waiter knocked over ice water into my wife's lap. She had to dine, on our anniversary completely wet. Would you expect SOMETHING to compensate for this incredible inconvenience. NOTHING. Also, while all tables around us received bread upon seating, we receive nothing. I would recommend never eating there. Far too expensive for terrible service and rude treatment.

Kathleen G.

Yelp
What a relaxing and beautiful atmosphere! We also had a view of the Bay. The flavors of the food were so subtle and interesting, and the entrees were prepared to perfection! The service was literally impeccable! We live in NYC but if I'm ever back in Traverse Amical will definitely be on my list!

Yelp
Wow, this was definitely a hit! My friend of mine which is a local recommended this spot and I'm glad we trusted her. First of all, our server was AMAZING!! I hope she gets all the recognition she deserves. She was so funny and accommodating to us, really making us feel like home. I'm sorry I don't remember her name, but she was a brunette and a bit older compared to the other servers we saw. We got super lucky. We asked for the complimentary bread which was delicious, and started with wine and I got an espresso martini which was good. The french onion soup was such a hit! I should have ordered another, lol. I got the Shrimp Pasta, which was to die for, and my mother got the seafood special which was the branzino and very delicious. The food was out of the part for Traverse City. Sometimes going up north in Michigan, the food is mediocre, but this was definitely a stand out. I would be back!

Yelp
Nice place to have a meal in downtown TC. We didn't have a reservation, but were still able to walk in and be seated right away during peak dinner hours. Our table was towards the back, near big windows that let a lot of light in. The restaurant has cute french bistro decor and a relaxed ambiance. For drinks, I was pleasantly surprised to see they had a few options for non-alcoholic cocktails - I settled on the watermelon spritz and it was very refreshing. For food, I ordered the salmon, but requested no butter or salt. It was supposed to come with black rice, and to their credit, they were honest and told me it had been pre-prepared with butter and salt, so switched it with potatoes. Everything tasted fresh and the other members of my party really enjoyed their dishes too, including dessert.

Yelp
Went there tonight. Excellent food, service and atmosphere! I rarely give perfect scores but I am tonight!

Yelp
Food was mouthwateringly delicious! Waitstaff was welcoming and friendly. Great view of the water.

Yelp
Amazing service, amazing food, and such a cute restaurant. Everything you could want in a restaurant is here. We dined in on the 4th of July, which was a super busy weekend in Traverse City but the service was amazing! The meat was so tender and you can tell how fresh the food is. We aren't from Traverse City but if we were to visit again we would totally dine in here again.

Yelp
Another cute restaurant right in the heart of downtown Traverse City, located right next door to the State Theatre! We got a perfect street parking spot right outside the restaurant on Front Street, which was also super convenient, but I'd definitely expect that to not be the case during the summer, warm months when TC is overrun with tourists, so be forewarned that you'll probably need to find parking elsewhere further away, but there's plenty throughout the downtown area. The inside of the restaurant has a cozy, upscale feel to it. The lights are dim, the bar is surprisingly small, there's an open kitchen concept so you can see them cooking away, and there are tables all the way to the back where there are giant windows, giving you a prime view of Grand Traverse Bay. We came with a big party and I'd say this place isn't super well suited for larger parties. We had a party of 7 and their tables fit 6 comfortably, so they put a chair at the head of the table, which was pretty awkward because it was half into the walkway where waiters and customers were walking by throughout our entire dinner. There was also a bit of an issue in the restaurant and their online reservation system where it hadn't captured the correct amount within our party when our friend who had reserved it had changed the party size. The online system had confirmed the change, but the restaurant hadn't received the update so couldn't account for a larger party than 7 (we had tried to up it to 8). Food-wise, it was delicious! All of us really enjoyed our food. I got the mushroom stroganoff, which was divine! If you're a fan of mushrooms, you will definitely be a fan of this like I was! The different mushrooms offered different textures and the flavors were all so delicious, layered, and satisfying, without being too heavy or too creamy. They are also known for their raspberry crème brûlée and I'm a huge fan of crème brûlée so it was a no brainer that I had to order it! If I'm being honest, it didn't taste any different to me than any other crème brûlée I've had, but that also just means I enjoyed it a ton since this is one of my favorite desserts! All in all, a great meal and a great time with friends!

Fatim T.

Yelp
The waiter was phenomenal! He was always checking in, refilling our waters and offering recommendation. I highly recommend the crab cakes and the raspberry crème brûlée! It's has more upscale restaurant vibes that's great for birthdays.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I made a reservation at amical while visiting in Traverse City because of the rave Google reviews. The food was pretty good, the spaghetti didn't have much flavor unfortunately. The octopus and duck were good! I don't know if the price of the food matches the quality and flavor of the dishes, personally. It took about 20 minutes before we were greeted by our server and as someone in the restaurant industry, that can be a bit disappointing but I also understand that it was busy so I know to show grace in those moments. Overall, I would recommend amical, but it's not the best place I've been to in TC.

Yelp
Wow!! I am incredibly impressed with Amical. If you are in the area from out of town, this place is a MUST try. We live in TC and I'm embarrassed by how long it took for us to come in and try this restaurant. Everything was impeccable - from the service to the drinks, entrees and desserts. I truly don't think you can go wrong with anything ordered here. The flavor profiles are like nothing I've ever had before. The walleye I had was so delicious and the flavor profile just meshed incredibly well. The carrot cake was the BEST piece of carrot cake I've EVER had, again a flavor profile unlike anything else I've ever had. 5/5 stars, 15/10 must try!

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Service is excellent- always. I had to dine in because they would not accept carryout. The Duck comfit was very underwhelming. I've been trying for 7 days in a row to simply get crab cakes for carryout and have been told no everyday. I understand being busy.. however a small order like that ... That's silly to refuse. HOWEVER Harrington's by the bay has EXCELLENT crab cakes and is ALWAYS willing to do a carryout order. I've dined at Amical at least 8 times in the past 2 years and I honestly don't feel that the price points are worth the food quality. I make better salmon at home. I honestly don't think I'll come back. The service is excellent though and that's the best thing that I can say

Yelp
Had a great time at Amical, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get in without a reservation on the same day for Saturday night dinner. The staff working here were very courteous and friendly and professional and worked with my friend and I who came and she was dying to try the chicken pot pie! I got the tomato bisque soup which was delicious and had a nice flaky pastry on top- definitely a hearty, filling soup and I'm not going to dwell upon how creamy and delicious it was! They also served us with complimentary warm hot bread that was so tasty and came with very fresh tasting butter and also olive oil and balsamic from a shop a few doors down. I appreciate the local touches here. I also got the scallop and chorizo appetizer to go with my soup and wow, it looked so nice and tasted great with the pineapple jelly! I would've never thought all those flavors would've gone together. My only complaint is I could've used more than 2 scallops as an appetizer. The ambiance here is really nice as the patio has a roof/ awning and is fenced in/ covered so you can still get the outside vibes without having to worry about weather changes. I wish I'd gotten to try the dessert here as the carrot cake looked divine but sadly I will have to come back as I was too full! Definitely recommend coming here for a tasteful, classy delicious meal.

Yelp
What a delicious meal! My husband and I visited Amical to celebrate buying a house, and we had a really good experience! Although it is on the pricier side, I'd highly recommend coming here for special occasions (or just for a nice date night)!
google avatar

Bridgette Z.

Yelp
Soups, salads and appetizers were all pretty good but our entrees fell short and we were disappointed. So many things desperately needing some salt or seasoning. Overall the ambiance and service is nice but I don't think I'll be returning with all the great options available in TC
google avatar

Yelp
I so wanted to love this place. Our cute waitress was delightful. Atmosphere in this place was great. The food...not so much. My French Onion Soup was great. The apple salad I had was disappointing. It was soggy, and I didn't care for the dressing flavor at all. Even the cheesecake was a disappointment--I ordered it with the caramel sauce, and that sauce was overly butterscotch-y flavored instead. I also felt like all of the sides of the cheesecake were sort of rubbery because it may have been sitting in the cooler too long without having been purchased. Such a bust. French Onion + with melted mozzarella cheese & croutons 7/12 (cup/bowl) Apple Salad + shaved cabbage, apple reduction, herb roasted walnuts, grilled onion, buttermilk-gorgonzola dressing 17 Vanilla Bean Cheesecake 8 Perhaps I missed out on the best part of this restaurant...in that I should have ordered an entree. Not sure whether that was the case or not, but I won't be rushing out to give this place another try anytime soon. Ho-hum.

Yelp
Location is wonderful. Love the early "happy hour" pre fix menu. Food tastes great and they have smaller plate options, which is perfect for early dinners.

Yelp
Amical continues to be my favorite restaurant in Traverse City. Every meal I've had there has been a wonderful experience. We had the octopus as an appetizer. It was delicious and tender. My whitefish entree was cooked perfectly as was my husband's lamb. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere is great!

Jan M.

Yelp
Wow - this is a restaurant that honors the food, flavors & season. We just missed the Prix fixe menu (4-5:00pm), we were finishing up our Asylum tour (another "don't miss") But then again, I would've missed the Chef's special: Walleye, that just came in today with a Quinoa-Sesame Crunch crust, with a Black Rice & Tahini-Stuffed Baby Eggplant (so cute & unbelievably flavorful!), Garlic Butter Poached Lakeview Hill Farm Bok Choy/ Sweet Pepper Emulsion/ Cilantro $48 Hubby had the Hanger Steak with root vegetables & we shared the amical salad. It was all remarkable & Stacy was a wonderful waitress. OK, the raspberry crème brûlée was damn good too. Oh, & the bartender mixes like a man who practices his trade - come in & start with an expertly prepared cocktail.

Yelp
We celebrated A's birthday and our anniversary on the first week of the cookbook series. We all had things off the cookbook menu and all our choices were excellent. Our Waiter Zac was patient and attentive when needed. We had one of the best seats in the house all the way to the back by the window. a great view. I had the shrimp, A and M had the duck leg and the shrimp, my DH had the short rib dish. All were served hot and great flavors.

Susan K C.

Yelp
Our FAV restaurant in Traverse City! Always have a great consistent delicious meal & the servers are awesome! The early bird special dinner is such a great deal! My Fav is the Hanger Steak & house salad.

Yelp
This restaurant had a nice ambiance and the food was really high quality. I ordered the salmon and it had a lot of really interesting flavors. It was cooked well and came with cauliflower purée and grains. The steak was really tasty and cooked well, (medium) but I didn't love the seasoning on the tomatoes and potatoes. I loved the blackberry cobbler and got it a la mode with ice cream (probably the best I've ever had). The service was good, they did well with our large party.

Bill J.

Yelp
We've been coming here for 7-10 years and the food has always been great and the service even better. However, this evening there was ambivalence from the beginning by both the host and waiter (side note to busboy who seemed to be on top of his game from the beginning). In addition the food was just okay (for Amical where you expect and pay for close to perfection) and seemed to be prepared in advance instead of to order. Unfortunately we're going to look for another restaurant for our next trip. For us it will be a disappointment to change because we enjoyed having this be our final night in Traverse City as it has always been stunning in both food and hospitality.

Yelp
Food: 5 stars Drinks: 4 stars Service: 5 stars Value: 5 stars Ambiance: 4 stars We were hoping for a good meal but were pleasantly surprised with a fantastic meal! We came in before seeing a movie next door at the State Theater. My mother is currently dealing with some dietary restrictions, and they made her an incredible meal - one of the best she's had in recent months. They have a seasonal menu that changes frequently depending on what is fresh, and we all loved our appetizers and entrees. My starter salad was so good that my father tried to keep eating it after having a "bite" to sample it. We loved it so much, in fact, that we came back for an early dinner before my husband and I had to head to the airport. This was a lucky turn of events, as it meant we discovered their early bird special (table d'hote) which allows you to choose from several options for a 3 course meal and a drink for $29. It's a crazy good deal, but only runs from 4-5 pm for dine in. Highly recommend checking them out for either standard dining or their early bird menu. Service was fantastic here, and the food did not disappoint.

Yelp
Amical is such a great spot for fine dining! It was my first visit and I left with a full belly and had a great experience. The atmosphere is so lovely. The staff were very attentive and our food was served rather quickly. The food tasted fresh with great seasonings. The roasted chicken was amazing and I am looking forward to visiting again just for that chicken! The space was clean and cozy and I have nothing negative to report! I highly recommend Amical for a quality dinner experience! I wish them continued success.

Yelp
Oh yummm. We had such a wonderful time here. It has a great romantic/date night vibe without being too fancy or pretentious. Every member of the staff was great, even the younger busboys stood out to me as being so polite and professional. I love this place and haven't even gotten to the food yet. The mushroom polenta was one of the best meals I have ever had. SO flavorful, so delicious. The wine was great. I can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Jen K.

Yelp
The tomato basil soup was amazing! The Turbot was a bit flavorless..... needed something to make it special. The whitefish had the same vibe....really hoped for more flavor with the seasoning bit it was lackluster. The apple dessert could've been outstanding had it had BlueBell Ice cream but it didn't.

Yelp
I am apologetically corresponding this review. This was not up to par by any stretch of the imagination. We got seated fifteen minutes before our reservation, that was cool. We went in hoping for a magnificent meal and we walked out less than an hour later, despondent, disgruntled and chagrined. Let me expound on our experience. There were four people in our group; we started with a couple palomas and an 'Elderfashioned. The Paloma was as fake as it could be because you could taste whatever terrible mix they used instead of fresh juice. The elderfashioned wasn't too bad, but did it excite me? It did not. We ordered the duck confit, salmon, lamb shank and short ribs. Sometimes you get unlucky and there's one bad meal. This was that outlier where every meal was flavorless. If I have any Friends fans out there, just like Monica's bouillabaisse, this was abysmal. Every dish was over cooked. I've never not finished a duck dish before. Most places will say the chef recommends it be cooked to a medium rare. No such option was offered. It was medium well and barely had any salt. It was the same story with the other three. The salmon was dry and not seasoned. The short rib, also overcooked. Lamb, same old story. If this is modern European, I will not be traveling to Europe, sad to say. Imagine Gordon Ramsay saying the word "bland". That describes the entire evening. If you read my other reviews, I'm not tossing out single star reviews left and right and never without cause. So while I'm sorry to leave this review, as the folks today say, this is my truth!

Yelp
I always bring my friends, family, and my wife to this TC staple for high end dining. It never disappoints.

Yelp
We had an exceptional experience at Amical. This is a very popular and busy place so make sure you make a reservation. The service was outstanding. The drinks and wine were excellent. And the food was fantastic. My secreto pork was delicious. I did my best to scrape every bit of it off my plate lol. My wife had the whitefish which she raved about. She also had the whitefish dip as an appetizer. The pickled cucumber slices that came with the whitefish dip were amazing. I could eat an entire bowl of those. Next time we're in Traverse City, Amical will be at the top of our list for dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
The food and service at Amical was amazing. I loved the variety and selection of food. My husband and I both enjoyed our dishes. We got in at 8:30pm, half an hour before close but we still didn't feel rushed by the staff and the food came out in a timely manner. The atmosphere was great, though the restaurant was still quite full, it wasn't overly noisy. Comfy chairs and warm lighting.

lynda g.

Yelp
Reputation better than experience. Food was okay. Service not okay. Waitress stood across from us for 15 minutes before greeting us (we didn't realize she'd be serving us); inattentive throughout meal. We had the whitefish which, while popular, didn't seem fresh. Broccolini and rice rather bland. Apple cobbler was in the bottom 25% of those we've had. Overall disappointed after having waited 45 minutes to be seated...on a Monday.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, great wine, great service If you visit Traverse City... you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Marin C.

Yelp
I appreciate the prix fixe menu, dine-in only, 4-5 pm. The Faroe island salmon was delicious. Perfect texture, soft interior and slight crackle and crispiness on the top. Nom noms. I even liked the broccolini/rabe stuff, it was green, lol. Potatoes were not the same temp as the rest of the plate, but still tasted yummy. The Caesar salad was great, too.

Yelp
Amical is a top-tier dinner restaurant. Good for an elegant meal with loved ones or good friends. The ambiance is classy but not stuffy--this is a resort-town! You don't need to pack a tux. There is a covered patio with a southern exposure and powerful heaters that makes for comfy outdoor dining even in sweater weather. There's an amazing view of the bay out the back window; pictures can't do it justice. The staff is amazing -- knowledgeable, attentive, friendly and patient. The menu is modern European, consistently well-prepared. The chicken and duck are my favorites. They have excellent pork and beef as well. And the seafood offerings are outstanding. There is at least one vegetarian (vegan?) entree, which was highly recommended by a friend. They have an extensive wine selection. There are EV chargers in all the public lots, within a few blocks in every direction.

Yelp
OMG. What a must. The location is very deceiving. It's located along the street with all of the other shops in downtown TC. The menu is diverse with many apps, salads, soups and entrees to choose. A nice helping of pitted olives and Tuscan focaccia with olive oil and balsamic. We started with the olive twists. What a nice surprise. A bit salty, but I'm guessing that's what's to be expected of this style off app. Also ordered the whitefish spread. Perfect. Served with crackers, capers and lightly seasoned pickles. Smoked very nicely. I had the cup of French onion soup. Not as salty as I've normally had, but still good. The crouton was surprisingly crunchy. I'd get it again. My main was hanger steak with a side of tabbouleh. I had high expectations of the steak. I. Was. Not. Disappointed. Seasoned and perfect when cooked medium. The wasabi and kimchi were an amazing addition. The fingerling potatoes that were below the dish soaked up all of the flavors which made them outstanding. Ended with an awesome espresso. There. I'm done. You don't lose when you go here.

Wonderful food, great service, and special attention to a birthday. Scallops were perfect. Carrot cake was the best I've ever had. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended to us, so when we were in Traverse City for a couple nights, we definitely had to check it out, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Let me start off by saying the service was excellent, from the moment we walked in with the hostess, to our waitress and everyone in between, we encountered nothing but smiles and friendly faces. The restaurant is on the smaller side, very cute, has a cozy feel to it. Now let's move on to the food, SO GOOD! We started off with the Olive Twists which are served with a sort of red pepper sauce, I believe, my mouth is watering thinking about them. Next we ordered a French Onion Soup and Tomato Soup En Croute and both were very good. For our main courses, we ordered the Parmesan White Fish and Roasted Chicken, both were delicious, but the Roasted Chicken was phenomenal. We ordered the risotto as a side, and that was probably our least favorite of everything we ordered, but still not bad. I also had their Pear and Ginger Martini, it was like a cross between a pear martini and a Moscow mule, soooo good! I absolutely will be back next time I'm in Traverse City and I will definitely recommend it to everyone I know.

Yelp
Great French food and knowledgeable service. Save room for appetizers and desserts- a must- try in Traverse!

Yelp
Enjoyed a lovely dinner this evening. Caesar salads with white Spanish anchovies is superb. The white fish entrees were beautifully plated and delicious. The hanger steak entree was equally delicious. The grilled octopus was perfect with a good spice level, tender octopus and a tangy pickle component and roasted potatoes. Food was deserving of 5 stars. I'm giving 4 stars because the servers have not been properly taught... clearing an individual plate before the table is finished is a huge No No. One is left feeling the dishes are needed in the kitchen. Stacey is the BEST!

Yelp
Overall is was an OK experience. Each dish lacked really powerful flavor, and all three of us agreed the meal was fine but not spectacular. The tomato soup with puff pastry on top was the highlight, the caprese salad was not too impressive, and the duck confit I would recommend skipping completely. Very over salted and flavorless. We ended up skipping dessert.

Yelp
Where do I start! Everyone in there was super friendly and very nice! We had our kids with us and they do have kids menu but not your average one, a more upscale one (chicken with mashed potatoes and flat cheese pizza is what we got for our kids and they loved it) our meals were amazing! I highly recommend the olive twist for appetizer, delish!!! Also, I had the shrimp pasta, and my husband had the steak both were very delicious! The broccoli side was to die for and cooked just perfectly! The wine was good! Honestly was a great place for our Anniversary dinner!
