This is a must-do stop every time we're in town. The pizzas are large, with creative and interesting toppings. The spinach salad is also top-notch. Service was a bit slow this time, but everyone was friendly & professional.

Google
This place was a delight. Don't be afraid to order the spaghetti pizza off the kids menu...it is delicious. It is the same size as the other pizzas. They have a decent beer and cocktail selection. Can be a bit of a wait to get seated but bar is first come first serve with full menu. I highly recommend trying this place a few times for there awesome looking pizzas.

Google
Simply amazing. Ordered the Thai Pizza and the server’s additional recommendation was the Braised Pork Panini but as a pizza. OMG! Ordered two 9” pizzas for my wife and myself. Plenty of food! She got the sangria and I ordered a Headwaters IPA (local). Everything right down to the local vibe was on point!

Tanner Garner

Google
Our food was tasty. We loved our salad, and the pizza was good. Though we do prefer a thicker crust to what they serve here. Witnessed a dog fight on the patio on our way out that made us think twice about bringing our kids back and sitting on the patio.

EK

Google
Great vegan pizza! I got the Michelangelo with vegan pesto, vegan cheese, and mushrooms instead of cheese and sausage.

David Childers

Google
The food here tastes fantastic! There are many Italian dishes from which to choose, in addition to the pizzas. The staff are all friendly and work hard to take care of their customers. The atmosphere is great, and it's the least of the best parts. Everything is clean and the atmosphere smells wonderful when you walk in.

Benton Barby

Google
Good beer and great pizza! The two of us split two small pizzas after a day mountain biking, and it was the perfect amount of food. The Pollo and Campobossa are 👌

Jason Neve

Google
I've been going here since it opened and it's simply the best wood fires pizza on the planet. The Biella is my favorite but I've had the Thai, the chicken Alfredo with green chile and the Margherita. All are exceptional. The Caesar salad is perfect. The beers are exceptional and the hot oil is Devine! Also completely consistent.

Jessica N.

Yelp
If you just happen to be in the area then you need to visit and you need to try the chili order and buy a jar to take home. That oil is packed with flavor that's perfect for topping on any dish. We ordered the spinachi salad, which I still think about it was that yummy. The fettuccine with chicken was a massive portion of pasta. We also opted for the Michelangelo pizza. All that food topped with the hot oil was more than was expected. It was such massive portions that we had enough leftovers to share for the next night. Check them out, they don't disappoint.

Pete J.

Yelp
Excellent food. Great service Very nice setting and decor. Extensive menu choices. Highly recommend

Tiffany A.

Yelp
Stopped here with a party of four around 8 on Saturday and we were able to be seated pretty quickly. We were just getting drinks and ordered a pizza/salad to go. I thought their beer options were solid - I got a good coconut milk stout and my husband got a fun creamsicle drink! For food, we split the Isla (size large) and a large Caesar salad. The Caesar was tasty - I loved the dressing. The pizza was kind of small for being a large but the flavor was good and I liked that it came with hot oil, Parmesan and red pepper flake sides.

Maria C.

Yelp
Omg! This place is delicious. I had the Amicas salad and the cheese pizza. My BF had the soup of the day (chicken pinto beans and green chili) and a pizza with a lot of meat. Everything was so tasty. On top of that, fantastic service. I hardly recommend Amicas pizza.

Roger R.

Yelp
First time to this location; picking up a to go order. This place was overwhelmingly busy. The hustle of the staff; but yet composed made this establishment a place to be at. They took great pride in some subtle changes to the pizza topping due to dairy allergies without winching once and no extra charge on most. While waiting we had a couple of brews " Big Brown " We struck up a conversation with a salesperson traveling through who decided to stop for a salad and pizza. She said when she comes through again this will be a definite stop. Look forward to coming back when we get to Salida. Plus a gift card

Tracie L.

Yelp
This place has a really cozy feel. A few of us had pizzas and like them. I had a panini on GF bread. It was okay, just middle of the road. Two people had lasagna and that looked really good. It looked heavy- full of meat and cheese. It did come with salad and that was very tasty. A few of us ordered desserts to go and like them. The staff was very friendly.

Mio H.

Yelp
You can order vegan pizza here! It was pretty good. There is not a lot of vegan options close by so this place saved us when we were hungry.

Jeff T.

Yelp
After a long drive and getting to town late this looked like a good option. It wasn't crowded (Monday Evening). Two sides: one is primarily a bar area which looks like a cool spot and the other is a sit down table service area. We chose a table. Ordered a pizza and some local beer. My wife had a green Chile beer and that tells you exactly what it tasted like and it was really good. I had a local IPA which I can't recall the name of but it was solid. Shared antipasti salad which was perfect. We did the Michael Angelo pizza but instead of goat cheese we chose Gorgonzola which we were very happy with. Service was great. Ordered a pepperoni to take back to two teen boys and they devoured it with two big thumbs up.

Joe R.

Yelp
Did take out for pizza one evening. We ordered a pepperoni and a chicken and both were delicious. Nice crust and tasty. Next time we'll go inside and try the brews

Laney N.

Yelp
Salida, Colorado is a gem and when you find yourself there exploring the many shops in the historical district, be sure to stop in to Amicas Pizza. Lively vibes and delicious food on their extensive menu will satisfy even the pickiest eaters and the servers are prompt and friendly. Fun fact: they were formerly know as Il Vicino which still operates 2 locations in Albuquerque, NM. Tried and true fantastic food!

Jackie D.

Yelp
I first try Amicas in July of 2021. We vacationed (hiked and camped) in Colorado for over a week. My boyfriend had been here before. I am gluten and dairy free so I was ecstatic to find gluten free. Beyond that, It was AMAZING!!! Best gluten free pizza I have ever eaten!! Tasted like REAL pizza, which is hard to find for people like me!!! We recently went to Arizona, and on our way back to Missouri, detoured so that we could go to Salida just to eat HERE!!!! It's worth it. So very worth it. Service was great. During the warmer months they have outdoor seating which is great for the open air feel and people watching.

Shari H.

Yelp
Once again a delicious meal. My son had a panini, my daughter had the spaghetti, my husband and I each had a pizza. The beer list is local and diverse, service is friendly and quick

Katie F.

Yelp
Amicas was on my "must try" list after all the hype I had heard about this spot. So, after getting settled into our Airbnb, my husband and I walked over to see what the fuss was about. SPACE: Located off Main Street (aka F Street), the restaurant is easy to spot, has ample street parking nearby and features a large outdoor deck out front - with white strung lights hung overhead - creating the perfect spot to dine on a summer night! While it was a balmy 25 degrees the night we stopped in, we sat in the spacious dining room adjacent to the bar. Plants line the large windows, and the recently renovated space feels cozy, cute and exudes the relaxed Friday night vibes we were looking for! SIPS: Being that it was 7:45PM, I was ready for a cocktail - or 5. I opted for a glass of crisp Pinot Grigio, which arrived within minutes. The perfect (7oz pour) was in a cute stemless glass and hit the spot. My husband chose to sip on a house made Root Beer, which was perfectly balanced and oh, so good! Also, on the menu - a variety of drafts/cans/bottles of local brews, crafted cocktails, sodas, tea and more! SUSTENANCE: The menu is massive, features just about every option under the sun - traditional, veggie, meat heavy, local favorites for pizza, calzones, fancy salads, pastas, soups and more! BUT Amicas is known for their pizza - and delicious ones at that. While other reviewers weren't fans of the sizing of their pizza - the small and large options are actually perfection. The small is essentially a personal size pizza and the large isn't massive, but still feeds 2 hungry adults. Completely overwhelmed by the menu and not wanting a ton of leftover food (because let's face it, I wanted to eat all of Sailda), we chose to split a large #16 - The Classico - which was loaded with Marinara, Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, ground beef, diced green peppers, olives, mushrooms, fresh mozz and topped with oregano. I'm so NOT a beef fan on pizza so we chose to sub beef for pineapple - because, yes it belongs on pizza and my husband is obsessed with it - which was the perfect addition! Everything came out quickly, piping hot, and so good! On thin crust, the pizza tasted divine, full of flavor and had the perfect crunch. YUM! We also got a side Ceasar salad, which was nothing to write home about, but a decent accompaniment to the meal. ** GF and low-calorie options are also available! woohoo! When back in the quaint town of Salida, I'll easily return here to get my pizza fix!

Ellen L.

Yelp
One of the best meals we've had in Salida! Thanks to the recommendation to eat here from our rafting tour guides, we checked it out for lunch. At noon on a Saturday we were told it would be a 30 minute wait, but we were texted a bit sooner than that. My husband and I each ordered a small pizza with side caesar salads and everything was delicious. I was worried he would need more, but with eating 1 slice of mine, the small pizza + salad was enough for a hungry dude. The service was super friendly, although not as speedy as we would have liked (we were really hungry!) but overall, the atmosphere, food, and service were top notch.

Evette T.

Yelp
Nice service. Excellent cocktails. Interesting Pizza. Fresh salads. Sweet owner. Everything is good here. Popular spot here.

Jessica K.

Yelp
After summiting mt Yale we stopped into Amicas! It was a sat so we expected it to be busy, they told us a 40 min wait but we actually got in within 20 min. The pizza was seriously one of the best one I have had, staff was so personably and friendly, and I had a latte at the end that tasted amazing! I will def be back, thank you for the great experience!

RandyandTanya H.

Yelp
Best food and best service in town! Never disappoints! They have great wine, beer, and the salads are amazing and the pizza cannot be beat!

John G.

Yelp
Great pizza!! Probably the best pizza we've had in a long time. And in Salida a charming town to boot!

Matt C.

Yelp
In business for over 20 years, Amicas Pizza is a locals only haunt that opens its doors to travelers from all over. Don't let the name fool you, it's more of a nice Italian restaurant, queue the Billy Joel song. With the holiday parade going on steps outside of the restaurant, our original Friday night plans needed to be shifted. We ended up going to the pizza place a few blocks down. However, we came back the following night (not in the mood for pizza obviously) and stuck with the more formal dishes. First off, the restaurant is beautiful. I'm not sure if it's a recent facelift or not, but it has a very large dining room, bar area and group seating. Definitely more of a modern spin of an Italian kitchen. Started with a glass of house red and a Caesar salad that was included with the entrée. The red went down well and the latter was fine. I wish there were anchovies topped in the traditional form! I also wish the plate itself was larger? Leaves were flying all over the table because of the small dish it was served on. Good dressing. Lasagna Salsiccia // sausage, grass fed ground beef, onions, mozzarella, ricotta, oregano, parmesan, marinara and accompanied by garlic toast. This may have been the sauciest lasagna I've had. The dish was cradled oh so gently in a sea of marinara. Sauce was sweet, and the meat flavor really shined through. Which can often be tough to accomplish with so many flavorful ingredients. Leftovers tasted even better the following day, like all good Italian food should! Servers were polite and efficient. A nice dining experience in Salida. Would return for a taste of home when back in town.

Diane G.

Yelp
Great food and service! Always consistent and very pleasant atmosphere/ambience. I love being able to order 1/2 portions for many dishes. Highly recommend!

Kayley K.

Yelp
Huge portions, amazing root beer, and great service! I had the calzone and you should definitely split it with someone else. Awesome place!

Randi B.

Yelp
Biella pizza, salad, chocolate torte were all delicious. I especially like the homemade pizza crust. Amica's also makes their own spicy olive oil. It's great! We sat at the bar and ate. The bar staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Jes S.

Yelp
Pros: pizza, pasta, salads & paninis - something for everyone! They have a few of their own beers on tap and some locals as well. Service was friendly and wonderful. You can be put in the wait line and get a text when your table is ready. Great place in downtown salida. Love the pizza and pasta options. Service was great and quick. Lasagna was a big portion and tasty. The pizza was pretty good. The salads we saw go past us looked amazing. Our cesar didn't look quite as magnificent, but tasted fine. Skip dessert here, or at least the tiramisu.

Kurt S.

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped here for our first dinner in Salida last week. Luckily we were able to grab a table before it got super busy. I ordered a large pizza that had sausage and tomato on it and my daughter ordered the kids spaghetza(sp?), which is a cheese pizza with spaghetti on top... Our pizza's were cooked okay but with all of the toppings on mine, it was so bland. And my daughter's pizza was just not that good. She didn't like it and she loves both spaghetti and pizza. Again, it was bland as well. The hostess and waitress were really nice and inviting and that's probably the best thing about this place. If I'm in the area again, I probably won't go back.

Craig T.

Yelp
Staff was just as friendly as the food was amazing! Love the quirkiness of the menu and the ambiance.

Lana P.

Yelp
Love this place, this is my preferred choice when I am in town. Highly recommend for travelers or locals, but locals already know :) Thank you Amicas!

Gina T.

Yelp
Delicious pizza joint in downtown salida. Perfect for lunch or dinner after a day walking around salida or hanging out at the river. Son had the fettuccine Alfredo and I had some chicken pizza (don't recall which one) but all was delicious.

Camille C.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous restaurant! The food was so fresh. I came across this restaurant on yelp and all the reviews reflect how great the food is... There's another brewery around the corner that we almost went to but I'm glad we went here. We had three smaller sized pizzas along with a salad and some beer. We brought our own card games to play and enjoy ourselves as this was the last night we were in Salida. 10/10 recommend!

Kate S.

Yelp
This place is a must. You can't "do" Salida without stopping at Amicas! We order family style (for 5) and share a salad, 2 pizzas, and a pasta. So yummy!

Karina C.

Yelp
Very tasty pizza! They had outdoor seating which we enjoyed with the nice weather but plenty of seating inside. Staff was friendly but not as attentive as other places but we were checked on. We would go back for sure if in the area.

Pam F.

Yelp
This is a fabulous place to enjoy delicious pizza. The atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing, there's plenty of seating, the servers are helpful and friendly, and the pizza we ate was incredible. It's thinner crust, wood-fired, with ample servings. Just stepping in the place makes your mouth water! Highly recommend!

Azure G.

Yelp
This really scratched the pizza itch we were having on a weekend in town. My husband went the all meat route and I opted for the Thai option, both were very good, though not earth shattering. Good service and atmosphere and the beers were thirst quenching as well. Overall, a solid pizza joint.

April C.

Yelp
We've returned to Salida 5 yrs after we stumbled upon this quaint town on our roadtrip honeymoon. We didn't get to stay long the first time, but Amica's was the one place we ate and HAD to return to. Of course, the food was amazing, as ever. Their pizza is just fabulous . But something my husband & I noticed was the amazing service. We spend a lot of time on the road & therefore eating out. We know how hard it can be to find & keep good help in the current "climate." We now know why: they're all working in Salida! But seriously... the majority of the staff appeared to be late teens-mid 20s & they were all running their rearends off. But you didn't hear anyone complaining, we were checked on multiple times, and everyone was just so friendly. It's such a fun place with outdoor dining options. We can't wait to come back...but we're not waiting another 5 years.

Jessica S.

Yelp
This is a great, small town pizzeria and microbrewery! The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was fresh. They had a great assortment of beers made in house and regionally. A simple and perfect kids menu. We were lucky enough to sit on the patio and enjoy the weather! This place was recommended by numerous people and would definitely return!

Pat P.

Yelp
What a yummy surprise to find this unique place in Salida, Colorado.. Great food and great service.. Historical building remained in the Historical Downtown main area. We will return.

B A.

Yelp
This is a very popular establishment. The food is okay, not good, not great. It is overpriced as to be expected. If you have leftover pizza you will notice how oddly doughy the crust is. If you eat it cold, it tastes like flour and has no texture. Service is ho hum to apathetic, but hey, they can afford to be as they can command it in this town of not many options.

Beth B.

Yelp
This is an adorable little place. We got seated right away, and the menu had lots to offer. My husband and I both settled on pizza. They do have gluten free crust, which was great...best gf crust I've ever had. It wasn't a "thin" crust like most of them. I took half of my pizza home, and it was just as delicious cold for breakfast the next morning. The staff was welcoming and friendly! We will be back when we're in town.

Dianna H.

Yelp
Great food! Would return if I was in the area. Alfredo chicken pizza and spinach salad were great.

Just A G.

Yelp
Quoted 25 minutes. Waited over an hour with zero communication. It's not that difficult to communicate when your computer literally tells you how far you are behind. Cheese left out where everyone coughs and breathes on it. To go orders in and out while people are waiting and waiting fir a table. It's not that hard to manage this. And Ripken wonder why they don't get repeat business.

David M.

Yelp
The food is hit or miss. I guess it depends on the day? As longtime locals we go elsewhere! If you sit the counter, the female bartender is surly!

Mollie Q.

Yelp
I first came here about 5 yrs ago. Amazing service and FOOD is some of the TASTIEST! I was dining solo with my toddler and they gave her raw dough to play with!!! SO HELPFUL! I ordered the Vern salad and i will likely return 4 more times before we leave-it was THAT GOOD!

Mary F.

Yelp
Try the Vern salad!! Yum! Best salad ever! Amicas has always been the best restaurant in Salida! Fun staff and the best bar to sit and chat w friends.

J L.

Yelp
So yummy! Salad was amazing. Beer was cold. Service was incredible. Add their Hot sauce on everything. Everyone stays busy! Music makes a fun atmosphere. Pastry chef makes amazing dessert. The peanut butter moose is a must.

Kalyn M.

Yelp
One of our favorite spots to eat in Salida! Great service every time, delicious food, amazing specialty pizza concoctions and great cocktails too

Alina T.

Yelp
Favorite pizza + people! Make sure to get the any of the pizzas with the hot oil, it just elevates everything! Oh, and the tiramisu is amazzzinggg

Connie D.

Yelp
Holy portion sizes! This is a great place to go when you are HUNGRY or want to split a lot of things with a lot of people! My friend and I split 2 entrees- 1 panini and 1 calzone and the tiramisu dessert and we had enough for 2 meals! The Pan E Porco Tirato panini was by far my favorite. It had pulled pork, pineapple, jalapeños and caramelized onions. We opted for no cream cheese and sure glad we did because it was filling enough! The Pollo Calzone was fine for me, but my friend really loved it. It had roasted chicken, balsamic marinara, caramelized onions, mushrooms, mozzarella and jalapeños. The flavor was kind of bland, especially compared to the unique and full flavors of the panini. The tiramisu was decadent and moist and the perfect end to a filling meal. Service was friendly but busy. I'm glad we got take out because the dining room was bustling, even for a Tuesday night.

Buddy B.

Yelp
Yum. Yum. Yum. I had a wonderful Michelangelo pizza with mushrooms instead of sausage. Loved it. The beer made on site was SUPER! Highly recommend this spot!!!

Talisa D.

Yelp
Wow! What a great value! Quality pizzas at domino's prices. Our 12 inch pizza was $12.50 including mozzarella, artichoke, shredded pork, gorgonzola, and marinara on a crispy this crust. Can't beat this. Beer prices were competitive - same prices as at the nearby brewery from which they came. Delicious food, quick service, and amazing value!!

Kerri F.

Yelp
Amazing gluten-free crust! Fast, friendly service! Need to come back to try the cider on tap!!

Suzanne B.

Yelp
Thank you John and your staff for a wonderful experience at this restaurant We visited Amica many times during our 3-day visit.
