Food was delicious as always and service was awesome. Great Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 lunch was spent there with my family.

Absolutely enjoyed our dining experience here! Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable service. Delicious meals with good sized portions, you definitely get your money's worth! We LOVE their offerings, including the Italian salads. Their house staying is the most perfect Italian said dressing we've ever had, we took home a quart to use on our own salads for the next 2 weeks. Would absolutely recommend Amici's to anyone looking for a delicious, home-style Italian meal at a fair price. Don't forget to get the Spumoni ice cream for dessert! It's like going back to childhood in a bowl.

Google
What’s with the crust? Can’t cut it with your dull knives! Got to have sharp teeth to tear a bite ! Large salad was a large Salad, but 2 tiny pieces of tomato? 1/2 of an egg!! Pizza was good no extra Marinara on the side as ordered!! Service was good!

Google
I've been here a couple of times but I'm always broke, but they're never rude and always have a smile. It smells delicious in their beautiful restaurant and it's always full of family and friends. Check this place out ✅

Google
The service was awful, our server never checked on us, I get they were busy but I also am a server and that's not an excuse, I had the minestrone soup, it was just broth except for a piece of mushroom. Spaghetti was good. I planned on ordering a pizza to go but we never saw our server until we were done eating so I never was able to place the order.

Google
The super cannoli. My goodness. I've never had anything better in my entire life. It was so good I almost ate the entire thing but its so much, you're better off taking a little bit home for later so you have something to live for. Life changing. The service was incredible as expected. Highly recommend!!

Been a long time customer of amicis as well as my father who used to work down the street in the 80's. I grew up going to amicis infatuated with their sausage sandwich which has always been magnificent and delightful and even the pizza was once a sight for sore eyes .... Took my wife to dinner there where we once had our first date about 5 years ago and in a split decision she decided to order pizza and I having a long history with the sausage sandwich ordered in confidence.... good service nice atmosphere its a lovely setting but....... when our food arrived something didnt quite check all my boxes.... for starters the pizza seemed unusually different and when we would take a bite the cheese and everything would come off the pizza leaving you with sauce and dough a very unfortunate to see the simplest of pleasure become so disappointing.... and than my sandwich arrives and again something didnt seem right. They used to serve waffle style "wild seasoned" fries i guess you could call them, now replaced by straight cut dull fries(not a problem)as I sunk my teeth in to my sausage sandwich I couldn't help but notice that 20+ years of magic that I once felt eating here had vanished with overwhelming disgust... not the pizza nor the sandwich is anything it used to be the previous times I had been there... I'm not sure if amicis hired a new cook or changed recipes but everything about it just repulsed me to never want to step foot in here again...

Google
The food and service here are consistently exceptional. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a friendly and attentive staff that makes every visit enjoyable. The salads are especially delicious - the Italian dressing is outstanding! I also appreciate the cozy environment, which makes it a great spot for casual business meetings or working lunches.

Yelp
Good classic old school red sauce North Denver Italian restaurant. Family run instead of a corporate chain, they have been feeding Denver and Wheat Ridge for decades. I usually order the rigatoni or spaghetti with sausage but the pizza is also good. Only caveat? The Chicken Parmesan has never been good. More like just basic chicken, maybe meant as a diet option? Service is friendly and capable.

Yelp
I checked out this old school Italian restaurant today. We were behind a rather large group. The host/cashier gave several of them hugs as they entered. I noticed during our visit she would do this with quite a few customers. This told me that they get lots of regulars and the staff has gotten to know about all of North Denver. Reminded me of how the Wishbone is. They don't make places like this anymore. Food portions were huge. Food was great. I don't see how anyone could give this place a bad review or only one star!!! Let me put it this way. This is the kind of food grandma would make for a family dinner where your whole family gets together. Remember those times? It reminds me of my childhood. Real comfort food for real people. Easy 5 stars from me!!

Yelp
Very friendly staff but the wins stop here for me. My father in law is obsessed with this place and I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's a nostalgia thing, but this place is like Fazzolos with a black and white checkered table cloth. My salad was just ice berg lettuce with a few pepperoni slices and cheese. I'm wondering if they add water to everything to save money. My blue cheese dressing was just liquid and bland. I also had the 1/2 rigatoni and 1/2 ravioli meal. Asked for 2 meatballs but got 1 sausage and 1 meatball. Meatball was dry and oddly flavored, don't love sausage but it was better than the meatballs. My rigatoni noodles were dry and rubbery and the ravioli tasted like it came from the king soopers frozen section. The pasta sauce was bland and watery as if it was just tomato sauce heated up with some water added. Small menu which isn't bad but I'm shocked there was no meat sauce or anything else other than the Alfredo. My father in law also raved about the Italian dressing, said it was the best he's ever had, and he's right it tastes good, but I can also get the same flavor in a bottle of Newman's Own. At least they don't skimp you on the portions.

Paige D.

Yelp
A family staple!! Best Italian food you'll ever have! If you want a family night out go to Amicis and request Cathy as your server! She's the sweetest person ever and will take great care of you! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Very comfortable family owned pizza and pasta joint. Friendly service and delicious Italian American food. Cozy atmosphere. Entrees come with salad, soup, or garlic bread. The salad has pepperoni and mozzarella on top of iceberg lettuce. It's simple and delicious. Most pasta entrees come with a choice of meat balls or sausage or one of each. Both are great choices. The meatballs are large, nearly 3 inches in diameter. They are dense but their flavor is mild. The sausage has a little spicy kick to them. Their red sauce is thin, well seasoned, and pairs deliciously with everything on their menu. I had the manicotti which was perfect. The ratio of cheese filling to pasta was just right and the baked mozzarella on top got nice and bubbly and browned to make a great chewy crust. Then it was covered in red sauce and meatballs. This is the way manicotti oughta be. The house wine was not bad. Not fine by any means, but accessible and paired well with everything on the menu. They offer a regional pie dubbed a cannoli, which is not the same as the popular dessert of the same name. This savory pie is a hearty meal you can eat with your hands. It's like a small calzone and you can get it with green chili inside too. A must have. This restaurant has been around for ages. My wife's family has been going here for 40+ years. Still reliably delicious after all that time. Go visit for some north Denver Italian American culture. It's a real institution.

Yelp
The jumbo pizza is smaller than they advertise. We've had that several times where it comes out the size of a large. Otherwise great food.

Yelp
The waitstaff at Amici's is always amazing! I've never had a bad experience with that. I love their spaghetti because the pasta is homemade and its hard to finally that at alot of restraunts. The sauce is usually very tasty but I usually order some extra sauce on the side. The Italian dressing they make is (in my opinion) to die for... and I'd go to eat just the salad and some bread if I had to. It's a dressing recipe, uniquely their own, Im assuming! The calzones are amazing as well and the fabulous dough that everything's wrapped up in is delicious! This is literally the only Italian restraunt my Husband and I frequent. TIP: Save some of that Italian dressing on your salad plate to dip your bread and butter in. Yuuuuum!

Yelp
Huge disappointment!! This is the third time we wanted to go and it was not open!! Shameful.. I couldn't believe we can have such "bad luck" . First time they had some kind of event going for that evening .. it was mid week, then at the end of July we decided to try again and they were in renovation for 10 days!! Tonight we tried again and they had it closed for a "private wedding " , really ridiculous you should have seen the nerves and anger from the drivers and people trying to eat and get in.. totally terrible and they never EVER have an updated schedule anywhere so people would know not to drive there if they closed ! Now they convinced me it's not worth going , 3 failed attempts because of their fault and they could care less.. besides , I've heard that their food is not great anyway..

Yelp
Still as great as we remembered. We use to eat at the other locations many years ago near 92nd/N. Wadsworth Blvd. and another near 56th/Sheridan Blvd, and were craving the thick noodle spagetti, meat balls, italian sausage and side salad while visiting the area over the weekend. Still as delicious as we rememeber. Menu selection is good, prices resonable for quantity of food, dine in area nice and staff friendly and attentive. Overall, a great lunch experience with some old friend of ours in the area.

Yelp
Usually this is one of my top choices to go eat at. Unfortunately sometimes the food just does not taste right, sometimes the noodles in the spaghetti aren't cooked all the way they feel almost chewy and rubber-like. The staff is usually very very nice. There have been a lot of instances I've shown up to Amicis to find out it's closed for reasons that dont seem plausible they close every chance they get. The restaurant itself is a comfortable space.

Yelp
My family has been taking me to Fanelli's Amici's since I was a little girl. The staff "sisters" are always so polite. The home made soup and salad dressing are delicious! Also, the pleasant atmosphere always matches the season with nice decorations.

Yelp
Glad we found this local spot - it reminds me of one of my favorite places from back home. The ladies working were quick and efficient. They have a diverse menu with something for everyone. Really great daily specials. The meatballs were really great, super flavorful and juicy!
google avatar

Simone R.

Yelp
Have been coming here for ages- since I was 3 or 4. It is always delicious and you can count on being treated like family. I love their homemade spaghetti noodles and meatballs- their side salads are amazing too with homemade ranch! The ambiance is simple but clean, kinda like going to grandmas for an awesome Sunday dinner!
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
This restaurant has always been a family place and after not being there for a while, we went back and nothing has changed. It is still a wonderful place to go for great food AND great service. They have not wavered from thier family values. The dinner specials are a great value. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Rodney V.

Yelp
The service and the food is spot on. Got the Italian sausage sandwich with a salad. My wife got the meatball sandwich with minestrone soup. Both were exceptionally good. We'll be back on Wednesday with some friends.

Justin S.

Yelp
Not as good as it once was. The Alfredo sauce was so broken I'm surprised they bothered to serve it. The service was good though.

Maria F.

Yelp
Best Italian food around great service coming from an Italian I think I'm a good judge
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
The buttery and crunchy burst of flavors as your front teeth sink slowly into that first bite of garlic bread... Mama Mia! If you're looking for traditional Italian home cooking, this is your place. Large dishes of delicious pasta, a calzone the size of your head and a glass of wine filled to the brim. Sign me up. The service is always top notch. You'll feel like family here. 10/10
google avatar

Faith T.

Yelp
Great dinner portions, and I mean like, take it home so the pets can eat too and there's still leftover portions. But the quality of the pasta and sauces is a bit lacking. (I don't prefer to eat meat, so I will avoid that subject), the service is slow, and the Alfredo sauce is fairly thin. I've never taken a kid to eat, or tried their pizzas, but as generally speaking their prices are ok. The ambience is weird tho, like hugely outdated.
google avatar

Diane Z.

Yelp
This place has been an Italian staple in the Denver Metro area. We have date night here every few months, we are never disappointed in the food or drinks, they make homemade Sangria, which by the way is very tasty! If you're looking for locally owned and authentic food, look no further.
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
Look, I'm not going to beat around the bush. My original review from when I first ordered here a few years ago is still up & this has become my go to local pizza place. It's the best place in the Lakewood -Whest Ridge-Edgewater area & that's a hill I'll happily defend. If you want REAL old skool mom & pop pizzeria pizza then this is IT. And the prices? Cheaper than most fast food pizza places. Order here & you'll be happy you did, I promise!
google avatar

Lance L.

Yelp
Don't let the picture fool you. The Lasagna was delicious. It wasn't $20 worth of deliciousness, but it was good. My wife and her friend have been to lunch here a few times and she says she really likes it. I asked her to bring me a "to go" order. There is a reason the menu shows to add sausage or a meatball which is because the Lasagna alone is all cheese. It did come with some darn good bread! Overall, this place cranks out some pretty awesome Italian food.
google avatar

Tiffani H.

Yelp
If you are looking for some good old fashioned, no frills Italian food, this is the place to go. I wish we lived closer because we would eat here more often. One of my favorite things here are the salads because the Italian and ranch dressings alone are worth the trip. The prices are so reasonable do you can bring g the family and not break the bank. If you haven't been here, give it a try. You won't be disappointed

Brent H.

Yelp
I like Amici's, Good Food Good Service. Like it when it was on Federal Like it now on Wadsworth. Never had a bad meal. Over the years have been over a hundred times.

Barbara M.

Yelp
The food, as always was wonderful!!! We have been going to this restaurant for about 30 yrs. This review is based on their new take-out boxes for take-home food. They have switched to a new cardboard box and it is a DISASTER!!! I know it is one of the new degradable options, but for the type of food served a Amici's, this does not work. Our last visit, last week, was our first experience with this item. We brought home leftover Lasagna with the meatball and a sausage. Luckily we put the item in a bag because by the time we got home, the box had become soggy and was disintegrating. What a mess!!!! Next time, we will request a foil to line the box and also a bag to carry out the contents. This item need careful review for its usage. Thank you

Yelp
Omg. I have been a long time customer. My Dad loved it as well! Best pizza ever! Amazing service as well.
google avatar

Yelp
My family loves this place...for me the food isn't to my liking.....the marinara is plain and the noodles, while homemade are doughy. I can think of a half dozen other Italian restaurants in Denver I prefer. The staff here are friendly and make my 83 year old mom feel special and I like that a lot.

Patty W.

Yelp
Is amici's permanently closed? We were there yesterday and no signage on building. Just a note on the door saying they were on vacation. Several cars pulled into the parking lot assuming they were open, as their website says they are. No message on their phone either when you call.
google avatar

Hailey H.

Yelp
Service was pretty quick we got water and sodas from the drink runner and our server come over shortly after and took our order food came out pretty quickly. I got the stuffed shells because they were the special for the day and personally I was not impressed the food truly tasted like it was frozen and the cheese inside the shells was not even melted. I already have a hard time eating cheese but I usually enjoy stuffed shells the unmelted cheese made it hard to enjoy at all. I was looking forward to the fresh bread that they advertised but we never got any while tables around us did... Probably won't be back

Kris H.

Yelp
Always good food, friendly service, every time. I love the meat balls. My husband loves the chicken parmigiana.
google avatar

Pistachios R M.

Yelp
My family has been going here for years! They make the best pizzas (seriously won't eat pizza from anywhere else!) The most incredible house dressing and most delicious pasta dishes! We love amici's
google avatar

Peggy K.

Yelp
No matter what I get, I love it! My fav is the Super Cannoli half sausage, half meatball, extra sauce. I like take half home along with the sauce. extra bread, too. The meatball sandwich with green chilies, extra sauce for dipping. Don't forget a salad with their dressing! It's awesome sauce! The fat noodle Spaghetti with that delious sauce, bread & salad can't be beat! Yum! I've been coming here since they were over there, lol. Yum!

Carissa K.

Yelp
Fanelli am I dreaming? I was the one wearing my work suit, coy and humble yet mysteriously beautiful. I have a feeling these are traits that would go well with your courage and strength, Mr. Amici. I know why the birds sing when you are dear, my fettuccine bear. You can't hide the blush of your cheeks. Speaking of, I'm sorry for leaving with the rosé and forgetting to pay. I was not hiding it in my pants! It's just my bottom is growing more rotund the more I eat your pasta.............made you smile :) Keep my seat warm Xoxo
google avatar

Kimberly B.

Yelp
I took my friends for lunch. The service was terrible. We had to wait for our drinks. Then we got our meals before our salads. We had to ask for bread. She catered to the big table. No refills... We won't be back again. I complained to cashier... she was like we're busy today. But that's not a excuse for poor service.
google avatar

Shayla S.

Yelp
I grew up going to the Arvada location, which is now closed, but I will never forget it. It was always so yummy and the plates of pepperonis, crackers, and cheese they would give kids still makes my mouth water when I think about it. I live out of state now, but when I was home visiting I was able to go back to this location and it was as amazing as always! I got a regular salad with ranch, which was bomb. The ranch is amazing! And for my meal, I got a meatball sub with fries. It was so good. I got full and couldn't finish, but it was just as good as leftovers the next day! I'm going back to Colorado for the holidays and I'm ready to go back again, even if I have to drive 40 minutes to get there. The food is always THAT good and the service is definitely great as well.
google avatar

Mario L.

Yelp
Been going for years & it's always great. Plenty if parking, friendly staff, always a treat!!
google avatar

Jeremy E.

Yelp
I call it five stars because they have always been consistent. Been coming here with my family since I was young. The owners are friendly and the atmosphere is what an Italian family restaurant should be like. They do get busy! Salad dressing is the best! Sauce has that simple home cooked taste. Hard to find that old Denver love. Amici's still has it.
google avatar

Kurt D.

Yelp
Wait Staff were friendly and empowered. Restaurant was clean and casual. Needed some minor maintenance here and there. Food was good. I had the spaghetti with red sauce. The sauce had a good tomato flavor but lacked other vegetables. I asked to have vegetables added to the sauce but they did not have any. The rest of our party had standard menu items and all were served hot with good flavor. We went on a Monday night around 5:30pm and had to wait about 30 minutes.

Jordyn B.

Yelp
Came here with the fam tonight, we got a sandwich, pizza, pasta dishes. The cheese tortellini was VERY over cooked, still ate it though, I try to never send food back. My husband ordered the sausage sandwich, it was a bit rubbery, honestly. They changed their fries too, recently?? Appeared/tasted like pre-seasoned frozen fries we could make at home? Not bad, but prefer the original. The kids pizza was good, super hot right out of the oven when the waitress brought it out to us. Sad part was the side of bread (plain) brought to the table- had the consistency of raw dough, as if they took it out of the oven too soon. The garlic bread was delicious, we'd ordered a side of it plus my dinner came with it as an option. All of it was brought out in one basked but the waitress didn't tell us this, so at first I thought she'd forgotten to bring my garlic bread out with my meal. When she explained there were two orders in the basket she'd previously brought out it made more sense, but you'd think you would say that when you bring it out to us? Oh well, not a big deal, we still got what we paid for! The waitress is another story though I think. I couldn't really explain my feeling about her. Soft and kind voice but seemed to have no desire to genuinely make sure things were good with us. She'd ask us sure, but the minute we said "it's good", she was already in the process of saying "okay" and walking away to talk to another one of her tables? She was also stacking tables we noticed, having worked as a waitress in the past, I know this is a pretty big no-no as it backs the kitchen up (and the place wasn't exactly "dead" tonight). Table next to us got their order taken AFTER us and they got all of their food BEFORE we had all of our dishes? Hm, okay? I wish I'd gotten her name but alas, I didn't. She was middle-aged, busty, brown hair, worked on Thursday Jan 17, 2019 and we were in around 4:30-4:45pm. Overall the experience was "okay", we've been here plenty of times over the last 10+ years, it wasn't a bad experience but we've certainly had better.

Gary C.

Yelp
This used to be an excellent restaurant that we frequented weekly for 40 years but the food quality has gone downhill so bad I would never recommend this to anybody. If I could rate it a 0 I would. The owners/management should not be in business. They have no clue how to take care of customers. For the last two years we have continued to try it to see if they are back on track but The food continues to go downhill. they are incredibly rude to all their customers and don't care because they have all their geriatric clientele that continue to go and eat this cheap food. I will never return to this restaurant and never recommend it

Robert V.

Yelp
Excellent traditional Italian food. The dinner steak is one of the best. It's a ny strip about 20 oz. Aged to juicy perfection. Come with a side of pasta. Really delicious
google avatar

Beth B.

Yelp
Good solid Italian food offerings and nice wait staff. I'll be back again. Loved my ravioli parmigiana!!
google avatar

Lori S.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in the Denver area. I have to share that the last couple times my brother and I have gone in for lunch or dinner they are lacking on good service. Our previous visit we waited several times for a waitress to come to our table to take our order or for refills. Our last visit which was yesterday we had to ask for a waitress to take SIMPLY take our order. no matter how good the food is, I like to have good service as well Not sure when we will make the trip to Denver from Colorado spring again. Just to eat at amici's

Ginny K.

Yelp
Great meatballs, my favorite, but their sausage is also very good! Their XL pizza for the price of a large on football Sunday/Monday is a great deal. We've been going here since they offered the Baked Pasta Combo for Two was about $12 at their old location!! Their garlic bread has gone downhill and isn't nearly as good as it was but still love to go there. Like every restaurant, you have favorites and not so favorites but it's worth trying to find your favorites.
google avatar

Yelp
We tried Amici's for the first time with open minds and wanting to support a local business through Covid. Severely disappointed. Our meal was lukewarm. Also there's only two choices for pasta sauce - marinara and Alfredo. Both were bland. Salad was definitely bagged. The meat was also not hot. My husband and I got home and literally ran into the house with upset stomachs. Long story short, I think we both had food poisoning. I hate to rag on a local spot, but we will not be coming back here. They need to renovate, step up the food, and offer more options. Sorry Amici's! We tried!

Yelp
Been coming to this place since they moved over here from Federal. Still same family and still the same amazing Italian food! Sooo good!!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been coming here forever. It's where North Denver Italians come for Italian food. The salad is fresh and delicious! Not fancy but their Italian is the best dressing I've ever had. It's bright on the palate, so if you like that bold in your face flavor of balsamic vinegar you'll love this! The ranch is also very good. The pasta is amazing, and my favorite is the spaghetti. They have thicker style noodles that is a true North Denver staple. (If you're a local you know what I mean!) The sauce is perfectly perfect. It's not too sweet or chunky, it's the right consistency and the spice and zip are spot on! Even the pizza is good. I recommend Pepperoni Sausage and Mushroom. They do not skimp you on the toppings! There are two reasons this restaurant doesn't get a perfect score and that is: 1. They seem to have a machine pressing their pizza crusts these days. Last time it was waaaay to thin and even to be hand pressed. It wasn't bad or anything but it didn't have the charm of a hand pressed crust. Am I weird for liking to dip it in the left over dressing like a bread stick? 2. When you get a pizza with bell pepper and onion, they put way way way too much on. It's gotten better than it was, but even then it needs a good 60% less if you're going to put such large cubed pieces on. It over whelms the pizza and you can't taste anything else. It also throws off the texture of the cheese. I still love this place and will drive to the other side of town when I want good Italian.
google avatar

Peter P.

Yelp
Friendly, hard working people who care about their place. The food is always good and the restaurant is always packed. They have been doing this for years. Pulling it off every day is hard work. Tip well.
google avatar

Todd L.

Yelp
First time here and I was not impressed. The chicken Alfredo was bland, lacked any real flavor. The sauce was chunky and had an oatmeal texture which made us want to throw it out. The chicken was dry and overcooked, completely inedible. The red sauce was not Italian at all and had a very metallic taste to it like it was from a can. The stuffed shells were nothing notable. Two decent things: the meatballs and the bread. The salads were like from Sabaro. lol I'll take a hard pass on this place.
