What a wonderful experience! Chloe, our server, was incredible. Attentive and personable she catered to our needs without hesitation. We got the smoked tomato queso and fried raviolis for apps. Eggplant parm and penne a la vodka for entrees. A glass of Malbec and a sweet red for wine. Our appetizers, entrees and wine came to our table in great time. The open kitchen was a very nice touch to the laid back, professional atmosphere of the establishment. We will definitely visit Amici’s again very soon!

Google
They have some many great pizza options i had to order 2 large pizzas and break it up into 4 different pizza selections. Just Wow! amazing pizza! Next time I plan to order some Italian dishes to try. I was in Suffolk for work and heard about Amici's from a friend that said I have to stop in if I'm over there and so glad I did!

A friend and I stopped by this place for an early dinner. The place was packed so we decided to order at the bar. Service was rather quick even with it being a full house. The calamari was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The meatballs were a little crumbly but flavored nicely. The chicken parmessan was also very good. Give this place a try if you're in the neighborhood.

I ordered lunch for a committee meeting that my organization, America's Warrior Partnership, was holding in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Veteran Services. I chose this restaurant because the website says that the owners are former service members. First and foremost, the pizza was excellent!!! Everyone was more than satisfied. Second the staff was fantastic. I spoke with 2 individuals and they were fantastic. And to the owners, thank you for service to our nation and thank you for continuing to serve through this amazing pizza!!

Google
This place is one of my local favorites, and it never disappoints. I’ve had a variety of their foods from there, from lasagna to spaghetti, pizza, you name it. They’re a lifesaver when I’m not able to cook dinner.

Google
Service is top notch and the food was delicious. Tried the All in pizza on cauliflower crust, SO GOOD! I enjoyed the manicotti and added meat balls. Also good. The shrimp scampi is good but its a creamy style sauce. Oh and the focaccia bread was a great app. Will hit this place again when in downtown suffolk. Well done guys! BRAVO!

Google
It's one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Suffolk! The hot queso appetizer is to die for 😋 Service is top-notch! Honestly, anything you get there will be delicious.

Google
I've been going to Amici's since I was eight that's almost ten years now. The food has always been superb. They cook the pizza and subs in a brick oven giving it a distinctly unique taste. I've been to New York and had pizza there and so far Amici's pizza is the only comparable thing I've had in Virginia. The service has always been great consistently for ten years. The atmosphere is good for a pizza place, small and enjoyable. If your on the lookout for hidden gems in the 757 then you have to try Amici's. I recommend the margherita pizza and mozzarella sticks.

Yelp
Went here with some friends and had never been here before. It was a very pleasant experience that definitely was a great visit. We ordered some pizza, several appetizers, and some beer. It was a total winner all the way around. The BBQ chicken, cheese curds, and bruschetta were all absolutely delicious. Everything we had that was delicious. The service was quick, friendly, and great. Overall, this place was a total win and we'd definitely come back when in the area. This part of Suffolk has a lot of hidden gems within it and this place is definitely one of them. If you're in the area and are in the mood for pizza, look no more! Food Taste: 5 Overall Service: 5 Value of food to cost: 5 Facility: 5 Ambiance: Low key bar with a rustic feel. Repeat customer: yes Dog Friendly: no

Yelp
I'd first off like to say that my first visit, which was a to go order, a few weeks ago was absolutely delicious. I got the fettuccine Alfredo add steak, which was seven extra dollars. I got 4 or 5 buttery circular cutlets of steak. They were thick but very tender. When I returned today, I received maybe 4 or 5 little slices of steak that were a completely different type of steak and taste. I returned to ask them for the original pasta and meat that I received a few weeks ago, and then waited another 20 min for them to return the food almost the exact same, with maybe two more slices of steak. The steak today had tons of muscle in it. It wasn't tender and it didn't taste the same. I called in and spoke to a manager, her name was Kayla, she mentioned that whoever cooked my food the last time I was there did it wrong and either gave me too much steak or the wrong kind of steak. I find that to be completely unprofessional and inconsistent, especially when the whole reason went back, there was for that exact meal. I'm not sure how it cook can't mess up that badly that you have a completely different steak and portion size for the exact same meal. I also ordered the breadsticks, which was OK. The breadsticks were definitely different than normal, they had some fluff and air, which was a nice different touch. My advice is to definitely stay consistent with meals, and also the first steak that I had was a lot better than the second steak that I had, and they should probably go back to the first thing that I tried. I wish I would have enjoyed my meql today. Happy Mother's Day though!

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch because it was recommended by a friend who lives nearby. The atmosphere what you would expect of a smaller pizza place. A bar, small tables and an outside seating area near the front side of the restaurant. We were seated right away, the service great, and very accommodating. We ordered the bread sticks appetizer. Even though we couldn't really taste the garlic, they were delicious. Our main dish was a 10" cheeseburger pizza. The pizza was thin crust, it tasted more like a taco pizza but regardless It was delicious. We were too full to eat dessert in the restaurant so we ordered some cannoli's to go. They came with a chocolate dipping sauce which isn't needed. The cannoli shells were crispy and the filling was creamy. The taste is sweet but not overpowering. It's just the way a good cannoli should taste. If you have room for dessert I would highly recommend them. Overall it's a cute little pizza place in Suffolk that I would recommend going to if you are in the area.

Yelp
Cute little pizza joint in downtown Suffolk. I meet a large group here for dinner. We came mid week and were quickly seated. Many from my group had eaten here before and gave almost every item the thumbs up. I wasn't super hungry but tried a small pizza and Greek salad. I also shared bread sticks with the table. The breadsticks are amazing!! They are fried pillowy perfection. Everything was tasty and next time I'm in the area I'll eat here again.

Yelp
As someone who is weary about restaurants that don't have 5 stars.. we decided to check this place out, and OH MY GOODNESS I'm so glad we did! Service was fast, food was amazing, and we loved the decor. The prices were decent too. For 5 us us to eat (3 apps, 3 adult entrees, 2 kids meals, a dessert & drinks) it was under $150. It may seem pricy to some, but you get what you pay for, and this was very much worth it!

Yelp
Starters/main course... Food was TASTELESS. Food had no taste / flavor. Fettuccine Alfredo was watery, absolutely no flavor. Clam Casino Pizza was dough and cheese... (TRASH)

Yelp
Amici's pizza is the greatest pizza I've had in all of VA. It's wood fired, thin, with just about the perfect amount of char. I say just about because I do prefer my pizza crispy, but it's just a step below that. The undercarriage does not flop when the slice is folded in half, which shows it has a solid base. However, it does not CRUNCH when you fold it, which is why it's not quite perfect. Give the pizza a try! (My favorites are the margarita and classic pepperoni)

Yelp
First time trying this place and won't be returning. We called in an order and asked if the antipasto salad could be made without cheese. We explained that most places can't separate the meat and cheese and we wanted just the meat. They said yes no problem. We paid $13 for lettuce in the end. When my husband went to pick up he waited and tried to ask where he is supposed to pick up but was ignored & then an older woman who worked there had a HUGE attitude when he asked where to pick up the order. The pizza was cold and very basic.
google avatar

Lindsay W.

Yelp
I literally am shocked that when we ordered this pizza and it arrived we commented to the waitress that it was supposed to be shredded lettuce and pickled onions ... she was like you want me to go have them shred it for you... I said no thank we are good... she s then brought out the pizza without the lettuce to show there were like five pieces of pickled onion on it ... I wish I took a pic ... the first pic is when we have ordered before the same pizza and what was expected and as you can see not received .. the waitress arguing with me threw me off as well ... like I showed comparison pictures and she had no apology .. stood firm that that pizza was correct ... won't return .. wish you the best if you try ... the other pizza we ordered was good ... pepperoni and banana peppers ..also side note we ordered a side of blue cheese when we said it looks yellow and kinda funny she said we only make our ranch in house ... I said so that means the blue cheese can be bad?? There wasn't a single apology made .. just arguing with me. It was wild... I have never ...

Yelp
I went here the other day to grab lunch and had a great dining experience. They have gluten-free crust (10" only), but it was just enough for a midday meal. The rosemary chicken is great with the pesto. Dairy currently isn't my friend so I had to forgo it, but you should definitely try their pizza. I added a side salad because I needed some veggies (my mom would be proud :-D). The service was great - she checked in periodically and my food arrived in good order. The pizza arrived while I was eating my salad. They have indoor and outdoor seating so I appreciate the various options. They have tables and even a bar area so you can sit wherever you please (after checking with the hostess first). They have chalkboards with their beer choices, pizza options, and desserts overhead. It's a really cool place. I'll have to go back and try something else!

Yelp
We patronized this restaurant some time ago and I remember being impressed with their taste and portion size...not so much this time around. The seafood pasta had no flavor and the Mrs said the lasagna was overwhelmed with the cheese they used with the meat sauce. I had to ask the server her name, and she didn't come back and check on our table until I asked her co-worker was there any table bread. The outside seating had flies even though it was enclosed. This experience was enough to remind me why I don't patronize Suffolk downtown establishments, they start well but eventually drift to subpar service.

Yelp
I love all of there food, it's delicious and cooked just right. My favorite is the BBQ shrimp pizza.

Yelp
Amici's is a local restaurant in Suffolk, VA. It serves Italian and American dishes and they are great! We came here for lunch on Sunday. Some of us ordered off the brunch menu and others the dinner menu. My sister had the steak and eggs. She raved about them! The flat iron steak was seasoned well and quite tender. Her eggs and potato hash were good also. I had the shrimp and grits. This was the best shrimp and grits I've ever had! Plenty of fresh shrimp. Andouille sausage that had just the right amount of heat and Smokey flavor. It was a great contrast to the rest of the dish. Thick, not watery, grits that were great. All of this topped with an egg. My wife had the pasta and vegetables. A light sauce with some cheese. She loved them. My sister-in-law had the pasta and shrimp. Plenty of shrimp and the sauce was great! It seems like they don't have any beverages on tap. Some had a good local IPA from a can and my sister had a bottled coke. Service was good, even at a busy time. I'll be back.

Yelp
Went here for a last minute decision for a Valentine's Day dinner. Was craving for some pasta! :) I had the Penne Alla Vodka and my boyfriend had the Fettuccini with Alfredo with Chicken. Both pastas were delicious and great portions! The pricing of the pastas weren't as expensive which is good! Our waitress did a great job with her service! It was just a quick meal that we didn't stay long. The restaurant is casual which is nice!

Yelp
My family has had food from here a few times. The first time we did a carry out pizza order. It was delicious. The second time we ate at the restaurant. We are typically carry out people, but did enjoy the environment of the restaurant. There is plenty of seating inside and it wasn't super busy when we went. Also, they do have a covered patio area for seating too. I highly recommend the mozzarella sticks, our whole family enjoyed them. There are a few parking lots around the area so if their designated parking lot is full, there is close parking nearby.
google avatar

Yelp
The pizza was hot and delicious. The restaurant was moderately busy and we were served in a timely fashion. The ambiance of the resturant is inviting.

Yelp
This is my favorite lunch spot to order from I work nearby so we usually choose from the lunch specials and can call it in the garlic bread is mouthwatering and the barbecue shrimp pizza is delicious it is not a normal combination but definitely a must try

Yelp
Horrible. Been going here on and off for about the past year and a half. At first it was a great experience and great food. Around the third time we went the food was still good but a day after we had visited this establishment, my husband noticed that there was a suspicious PayPal charge to his account. We normally use cash when we go out, rarely do we pay with a card, so it wasn't hard to narrow down the possible places that could have scammed the card. Nevertheless we were craving Italian again, and said screw it we will try them again, hopefully that person isn't working there anymore. BIG MISTAKE!!! Food was subpar, customer service was horrible. The waitress acted as if it was in inconvenience to serve us. The only time the waitress showed any sort of emotion was when she saw the tip and smiled and said thanks. Not one to complain much we didn't stay long, didn't do any returns to kitchen, paid the check and left. Once home I happened to look at the receipt and noticed that the waitress did a split check on me and my husband ( without asking) and then i noticed there there was also a surcharge for using a card and and a different amount if cash was paid. I was curious about this because we had never seen this at this establishment before, so I called and asked to speak to a manager and ironically it was the same person who served us. I was given attitude over the phone and told it was common sense that they always split the checks and that everyone knows that there is an up charge for using a card vs cash and they don't state that because everyone knows. Long story short don't go here, don't waste your time not worth an attitude, sketchy fraud activity and subpar food.

Yelp
Amici's in Suffolk has the potential to be a great restaurant, but for us it was only good. The bruschetta was well prepared, and very tasty, but the thickness and the cut of the bread made it difficult to get the toppings on it. Fix that and it will be a top appetizer. The brick oven-fired pizza was good but not well-seasoned, and the crust was too charred for our taste. We had a traditional pizza, though they have some very tempting specialty pizzas, plus entrees. They seem to have an excellent bar, with better wine offerings. The saying that there is never a second chance to make a first impression applies
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
Was really looking forward to eating here based on recommendations from friends. Finally got a chance to and I was underwhelmed. While my wife's meal was good (chicken parmigiana), mine was not. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it was under seasoned, not to mention that there were literal chicken bone "parts" in the meal! For some reason, they used what appears to be frozen chicken nuggets! When I mentioned the bones to our waitress, she did not apologize or comp any part of the meal. Very disappointed. Another thing that struck me as odd was they do not serve bread with the meal unless you know to ask. The service (with that exception) was good and ambiance okay (plain building and not too loud). Honestly, I'll probably give it one more chance based solely on the recommendations of others.

Yelp
We order Amici's pizza on the go regularly. The product is always consistently good. We love their pizza. We have eaten in once and the service was great. Location is quaint. There is outdoor seating as well. Highly recommend!

Ron W.

Yelp
Still still a top notch pizza place. Pizza was cooked perfectly. We have been to the Rt 17 place twice, both times not so good. The mother ship is still fantastic!
google avatar

Steve H.

Yelp
Pizza is almost ok. Food is good. Service was poor last time I dined here, dumped a drink on someone in the group and slow to respond. Three stars may be generous.
google avatar

Kevin R.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch on a whim, never been here before and Italian was something I hadn't had in a while so I figured why not. We were seated immediately and was able to set on the patio which was heated. The waitress was pleasant and the food didn't take long to be brought out. The pizza was just okay to me. I loved that it was cooked over a fire and it was thin crust (have to cut calories where you can). I would go back to try some other items from the menu since this was a true Italian restaurant.

nicole m.

Yelp
We have 1 brick oven pizza spots open from Memorial Day to Labor Day in my vicinity. When traveling this was exactly what I was looking for, amazing PIZZA and RANCH!
google avatar

Christi S.

Yelp
Stopped in at 712p on 1/21/24 - 45 minutes before closing. I had wanted to place two orders to go and was told that the staff decided to close early "because it was slow", so they couldn't/wouldn't take my order. As a business owner, I don't understand that practice. Some business is better than none and it would have made sense to send some staff home on a slow night, than turn away business while the doors were still open.

Andrea P.

Yelp
Best pizza combos around! Downtown Suffolk and Eclipse area of Suffolk locations each very different but cozy. Can beloud
google avatar

Erica N.

Yelp
This is my favorite place for brunch!! They Always have great food and drinks! The service can be a little iffy, slow, and not always the happiest, but this isn't always a problem
google avatar

Donald P.

Yelp
We very much liked Amici's. The food was good and the portions generous.

Charles F.

Yelp
If your Bussiness has no parking and people must wait to cross the street, make sure you post on your web site that you will be closed the 4th of July weekend. As it is we even took the time to look up on google and when your page said "Open today till 10 pm" we go park across street and walk over with grand parents to find a small sign tucked away in a corner (not visible from the street) "we are closed". Either post on your web page or at least post in very front window not a a recessed door. Attention to detail Amici's, Attention to detail.

Yelp
The staff was very welcoming and checked on us often. My friend ordered biscuits and gravy which came out with shredded cheese, never heard or seen that before, and it was not warm. The waitress took it back and brought out a freshly made order. However it was just Luke warm. I ordered a skillet. It was fine. It wasn't until we were leaving that we were surprised. When we sat down we were given a beverage menu and 2 menus that had breakfast foods and pork tacos to choose from. So we picked off that menu thinking that is all they offered for lunch. As soon as we walked out of the patio area to the main restaurant we saw people with delicious pizza, sandwiches, etc. I guess I learned a lesson. Ask questions.

Felicity M.

Yelp
Just ate there tonight and the food was great and our waitress was attentive and friendly. Meatballs with bruschetta appetizer were delicious and filling! Pizza was wonderful, crust wasn't too crisp or chewy and the sauce didn't give me heartburn the rest of the day. Shrimp and grits were really tasty and huge portions meant we came home with a little bit of everything. Restaurant had great ambiance- not too formal or stuffy, and the women's bathroom was spotlessly clean (with a little seating area). Kitchen is open to the dining area and was clean and organized.
google avatar

Natalie M.

Yelp
First time going and will absolutely be going back! Everything was delicious! The place had a great feel, nice lay out, had Bloody Mary bar and manmosas were on point! All of the staff and our waitress was amazing!

Yelp
We found ourselves here by accident after waiting for The General Public to open on time. Because it never did and after waiting outside in the blustery wind, we were cold, hungry and worn out from geocaching. So this was a perfect backup. It was warm, didn't have a wait and was extremely delicious. We started out with a meatball appetizer which were some of the best meatballs I ever had. They come in an order of 6. I was barely able to eat 2 due their size. They pack a lot of goodness in those balls of #yumminess For our meals we both had pizzas. Uniquely made, cook to order, pizzas. I'm a skeptic so I was quite pleasantly surprised when they were beyond my expectations. I had the prosciutto, fig and gorgonzola and hubby had the BBQ chicken. Initially I bit into a fig and it was super sweet and yummy. I was worried the entire pizza might be too sweet but after finding the prosciutto and Gorgonzola I was doubly surprised. The flavors all married together well and it was a delectable pizza. Hubby ate almost his entire pizza so that speaks volumes of what he thought of the flavor. We don't get to Suffolk often but the next time we do, we'll stop in here again. The menu has a wide variety of tasty sounding items that definitely make me want to return.

Yelp
I have been here quite a few times, and the pizza as well as the pasta. dishes are simply delicious. E. Bynum

Yelp
The main dining room was chilly. The hostess put us up the enclosed porch in front. Very comfortable. The staff were sweet and attentive. The pasta dishes were amazing. Large portions.

Yelp
Listen... hands down Amici's is one of my favorite places to dine in Suffolk. It's funny because my favorite restaurant that used to be in Richmond, VA (Carytown) was called Amici aka "Friends" in Italian and lie and behold I received the friendliest service today. The Calamari was good I requested that they were lightly fried. The Shrimp Scampi over linguine was good I can't wait to go back and try a few more menu items . I most certainly recommend

Lorraine S.

Yelp
Any other times, I'd give a 5 plus star. But Nov. 12th Sunday, while at our daughter's house, we wanted to take them out first her birthday. It's a no surprise where we were going. Amici's is our go-to place to eat. Food and staff are always great. I got pizza, yummy. The other 3 got Lasagna that looked amazing. The problem was CENTER was COLD, so they all ate around it. I told our waitress who said, "I'M SORRY." That was it!!!! Was not happy. So we paid our bill for us 4 and TIPPED. YOU BE THE JUDGE

Notnef Y.

Yelp
Food was well portioned and excellent. Service was attentive. Will return as soon as possible

Yelp
Didnt feel welcome during my visit. Was sat after a group of the same size that entered well (1hr) after we arrived. Unfortunate.

Yelp
Decided to check this place out on a Friday. We assumed it would have a long wait---when we checked in to the small restaurant they had said 20 mins. Apparently we got there when everyone was starting to wrap up because we ended up getting a seat in less than 10 mins. Everything on the tables and menu looked delicious but we settled on splitting the hot bacon spinach salad and got the 10" New "Yawka" and Clambake brick oven pizza. Service was great and very friendly. Establishment was clean and smelled wonderful. Food came out very quickly. Salad was very fresh and dressing could have used a bit more bacon flavor. Also, the croutons were bit too oily for my taste. Our pizzas came as soon as we were finished with our salads. The dough is delicious, no yeast flavor and had a nice chew. The red sauce was sweet and acidic; went very well with the dough. Beyond the base of dough cheese and sauce---my only complaint would be the toppings for the Clambake were a bit sparse or it wasn't distributed well. I had 2 slices of the clambake and there was not a single piece of clam. So no clam flavor---just a cheesy pizza. Husband said he had a few clams on his slices but he agreed that it was a bit sparse. The New Yawka had thin crisp meatball rounds. It was good and I would order it again but it isn't the pizza that draws me back. I look forward to visiting again to try their other combinations and pasta---there were a few more we wanted to try but knew we didn't want to go overboard.

Yelp
We truly enjoyed eating here. Good food and good spirits. We had the calamari appetizer. I had the crispy pork belly over spaghetti and my wife had the manicotti, they were both delicious, our son had the Caesar's salad and enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend to others.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere, food and service here. My favorite place to go for a classic white pizza.

Yelp
My family has great memories of going to Amici's when we lived in the city of Suffolk. I hope they are opening a new location.

Yelp
I was in Suffolk for an event and afterward we were starving, so were trying to find a place to grab a bite to eat. Nearly everywhere was closed around 8:30-9:00 on a week night! We walked around until we found Amici's - they were still open, but barely. We managed to squeak in and order. The interior is dark and reminds me of a kind of old-school speakeasy. They had a pretty broad range menu of Italian fare. My friends and I went for pizzas and pasta and decided to share. The margharita pizza was delicious! And huge - I ended up taking leftovers home and they reheat well in the oven. We also tried the magic mushroom, and that glaze was the bomb! The pasta with vodka sauce was pretty good - not the best vodka sauce I've ever had, but pretty tasty. Service was great other than them really trying to shoo us out of there ASAP. I wouldn't mind coming back to this location again if I'm in the area! Hi

Yelp
Lovely atmosphere and staff. Food is great I love brick oven pizza. This can go from date night to family night to a night out with friends.
