We got tortillas soup and enchiladas! The soup was in chicken broth rather than meat, which was interesting. Did not taste as I expected. The enchiladas was yummy very nice design of food you can see in pictures. I recommend this place. They also gave salsa and chips. Very good service and vibe!

Google
Was in mass to visit family and we all went to amigos for dinner. The food was great and the portions where good. My burrito quesadilla was amazing and stuffed with filling. Everyone enjoyed the food. Only thing that no one liked was the salsa that came with the chips had a different taste to it. But the little char they put on the chips was great!!

Google
A lot of food, rapid and friendly service, reasonable price. These qualities means this place has no short of customers. While there are pricer and more decorative places next door, this is an great option for a quick bite to eat.

Google
The food was great, and it definitely felt like a good value compared to others. Out of the competition, I believe Amigos is at the top or a solid second place. Their steak was excellent in the Santana Tacos. There is a well-priced drink menu, including a couple of locals on draft. I highly recommend the queso! I truthfully expected a little more flavor from their chicken fajitas, as it was underwhelming. However, I find that to be the trend in this region compared to the south, so I try not to hold that against the north shore and accept it for what it is. Experience was great overall. Immediately sat, didn't take long for our waiter to come over and start taking our request. Once the food came, I don't believe he stopped by again until we were done.

Leah T.

Google
Drinks were great! Food was a little underwhelming. I expected more? Flavor. Chicken wings were overcooked. The Queso dip wasn’t anything special. All in all still good just not the Mexican style of food I was looking for.

Google
Great food. Service started great but fell off. The server forgot to put in one of our orders. Everyone's order came out except 1. Asked the server about it & he told us he put it in but he hadn't. We watched him go to the computer & put the order in. Once he realized we seen him he came back & told us it would be out shortly. Other than that everything was great.

Google
Great service, yummy food. Right at the Northshore Mall, closer to the Macy's side. Plenty of parking in front. They have a large menu and daily specials on weekdays. They also have a large drink menu.

Google
I got red chicken enchiladas, good ones and also got chicken tortilla soup also good , not my favorite but good . I recommend this place , good vibe and good service.

Yelp
We went back for lunch a week ago and we're even happier! The guacamole and queso remain amazing (my 9 month old would agree). I got the chicken tacos and they were extremely flavorful and it was a huge portion. My husband got the burrito and he enjoyed it but he did wish the pico was inside of it instead of on the side. Definitely a spot we look forward to going to again

Yelp
Nice Mexican restaurant located at the Northshore shopping Mall casual dining with ample seating and bar with plenty of seating. Sat at the bar and enjoyed a house blend margaritas with salt was good but could have been better I feel maybe a tad bit more alcohol. The salsa and chips were excellent and the enchiladas were amazing good both the chicken and beef both with the cheese and sauce on top yummy served with rice and beans sour cream excellent. The bartender was very friendly and polite she did a very thorough job everything went well.

Yelp
Beautifully decorated place in a great location! Stopped by for some drinks and apps and had a lovely time. We were welcomed by the host and our waiter. He was awesome and attentive bringing us everything very fast. We had margaritas and a gin& tonic. I had a strawberry margarita which was delicious, not too strong but we felt it walking around the mall! We all shared the chips and salsa and the platter. The salsa is INCREDIBLE. We had to get seconds, it was so tasty. The platter was also great portions to share for 3 people. Everything on the platter was delicious and we enjoyed! The prices were good for the area, I will totally come back here for dinner.

Yelp
Great food , drinks and atmosphere!! Enjoyed the fish tacos, enchiladas and margaritas, they were delicious!! Our server Andrea provided excellent service and made me the best spicy margarita!! Will definitely come here again when I'm visiting the Boston area. Highly recommend you visiting this restaurant and ask for Andrea!!

Yelp
This is by far THE best Mexican food in Massachusetts! From the Chips and Salsa (don't forget to order the table-side Guacamole) to the tacos to the tres leches to the mezcal. This was our first trip to Amigo's, and we're glad Siri chose this place. The chips and salsa were great! The salsa was thicker, moving closer towards a jam than a salsa. The chips were not salty, unlike places like Chili's or On The Order, and of a thicker cut, unlike the previously mentioned places. The table side guac, was worth it, my only qualm was that is needed something more. More kick (live bcaon or qoita cheese). A solid start. And if you're into spice, like I am, as for the habanro sauce, just mix it into your "jam" (lol). Since it was Taco Tuesday l, we both opted for these Moy delicioso options (see pictures). The chicken tacos came with guac on tip, and ya can't have them without extra cheese! I had the shrimp and bacon tacos, with jalapeno creme, which were to die for. I didn't need the spicy salsa, but I added it anyway for that special kick. For the desert, she ordered the Tres Leches cake, which came inan two-tier variety and no sauces. According to the amazing bartender Davine (too bad she's leaving) the cake usually comes with a drizzle of sauce; ask without, and you won't be disappointed. For my desert I had the Spicy Jalapeno Mezcal, and I have to say this is my new favorite mixed drink. The smokiness alone had me craving another. We went early, so it was quiet, but as the night drew on, it got busier. So, I'd suggest going in for an early dinner, so to get good service and good food. I particularly loved their attention to making their dices, slices and mashes (guac) rather fine. It allowed for a greater "one bite" bc you were able to enjoy a bit of each aspect of what was on the plate. The pinto beans and rice were on point too. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
On 1/18/25 I grabbed dinner here with my husband. We were supposed to catch a movie afterward but we never made it -- my husband got violently ill from the food. He had ordered fajitas and mentioned during dinner that the meat tasted like it was overcooked and in too much oil. The veggies had no taste whatsoever either. He was sick for almost 2 days! My meal did not poison me, but it was also oddly bland and did not taste fresh. My margarita was mostly ice. The service was fine and the booth was comfortable, but I can't really find anything else good to say. Sorry, Amigo's, we won't be back.

Yelp
Best margaritas , plus they offer amazing virgin options too! This place has such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. The vibrant artwork on the walls adds to the charm. The food is absolutely fantastic! They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa, which is always a nice touch. We tried the chicken tacos with guacamole !so flavorful! And the new Birria Burrito with the Birria sauce? Simply delicious. Everything we had was spot on, and our server Alex was great, making the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Very good not great but good atmosphere and clean If you're ok with just ok then give it a try

Yelp
We stopped by for tacos and we were pleasantly surprised! The location is attached to a mall which made me a bit hesitant. The spot has lots a televisions and a nice bar if you're there to meet up with friends and chill. The tortillas for the tacos are made on location and you can taste the freshness!! The guacamole cart was so much fun and the guacamole was made fresh to order! HOLY GUACAMOLE....so delicious! We loved this little spot and will definitely return when in the area.

Yelp
I love Amigos. I've had nothing but great experiences here. Among all the dining options at the Northshore Mall, this is my go-to. The interior is gorgeous with colorful murals on the wall. Mexican restaurants tend to be very aesthetically pleasing and Amigos fits the bill. All the servers I've had are friendly and attentive, even when it's busy. The server I had during my first visit (whose name I forget unfortunately) gave me such a warm welcome that I knew I had to come back, and he recognized me the next time he saw me. They do an excellent job at following COVID safety precautions: staff wearing masks, distanced tables, contact tracing. Everything is clean, including the restrooms. The margaritas are among the best I've had. Delicious and they don't skimp on the liquor. Lots of options for flavors and different kinds of tequila so you can customize your margarita. My favorites so far are the coconut and Sour Patch margaritas, which come with a toasted coconut rim and Sour Patch candies respectively. For food, I usually end up getting tacos because tacos are always good. My favorites are the El Pastor and Carnitas. Not a huge fan of the rice and beans that come with it honestly (this goes for all Mexican restaurants I've been to though, not just Amigos). I wish getting the tacos alone was an option. My only complaint: the chips and salsa are a bit lacking. The chips aren't always the freshest (but when they are fresh they're very tasty) and the salsa is very mild. From my experience you have to specifically ask for spicy salsa at some Mexican restaurants, so I'll have to ask next time. That aside, I love this place and I want to visit again soon since I haven't been there in a while.

Yelp
First visit to Amigos and it is average. We ordered chimichangas one with chorizo and one with barbacoa. Both had weird flavors and the chorizo tasted like dried ground up leather. I tried a couple of bites and left the rest as it really was inedible. The Queso dip was pretty tasty, the chips and salsa were good. Good enchiladas and quesadilla with ground beef. Service was pretty good. There is bound to be better Mexican food around.

Yelp
The food and the service was excellent. This place has a fun atmosphere, with authentic Mexican culture on display. The chicken wings in particular that came with the Amigos Platter were amazing!

Yelp
absolutely love this place! their falafel tacos are the best. i was definitely not expecting to be impressed with falafel at a mexican restaurant but oh my gosh - they are FANTASTIC! their chips and salsa are also great and drinks are super tasty. my partner and i have been coming here exclusively for mexican food since we've found it. he loves the nachos and veggie burritos. the staff is always very friendly. love amigos!

Yelp
I heard great reviews about this place and decided to give it try. I love chicken fajitas and I'm really picky with it, but it was delish at Amigos :) The drinks were bomb as well. My friend ordered the steak quesadilla and ate it all, she loved it. Customer service is great so was the ambiance, definitely will be back with the hubby.

Yelp
The food: bland Mexican food. Bland salsa and non homemade chips. Food truck burrito was mushy and bland. Only side was shredded lettuce and some pico de galo on top. Table made guacamole was a small portion and also not very spicy though we asked for jalapeños. For $15 I would expect to have much more than what we were served. Wife's enchiladas were ok but nothing spectacular. Kind of just run of the mill Mexican food. Drinks: we got 2 hibiscus margaritas and they were good. I would get the drinks here again and not the food. Service: service was efficient but cold. Did not warrant an 18% gratuity which was printed on the check. Ambiance: dead atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon at the bar. Not many people here at all. Chairs were comfortable at the high top seating. Total bill was $83 for guacamole, 2 margaritas, 1 burrito, 1 enchiladas. Would not repeat or recommend.

Jeremy M.

Yelp
The salsa tasted like marinara sauce. Would have been better with mozzarella sticks than stale chips. Waitress was extremely nice but after waiting 35 minutes for guacamole that never came we decided to leave without ordering.

Yelp
We LOVED our first experience at Amigos. From start to finish everything was perfect. We started with the most DELICIOUS watermelon margaritas. They were so fresh tasting, this was no cheap bar mix. Immediately we were given chips and fresh salsa while seated at the bar; another ridiculously fresh experience. We enjoyed the margaritas so much that we ordered a pitcher to split! We followed by ordering our own meals; I got chicken enchiladas and my better half got the sopa del mar. Once again; FRESH! You could tell this is a scratch kitchen. The portions were large but not overwhelming, the service was attentive and kind. We will be back!!

Yelp
Small menu but tasty bar foods. Got chicken fajitas & Mexican Paella. Guacamole was fresh and yummy, good chips and salsa. Service was friendly & quick!

Yelp
I'm so glad this fine establishment is open during this unknown time of COVID-19. Our server Leila G - is amazing! She was attentive and took great care of our family members at our holiday dinner. The Grande 1800 Margarita is a must have! There are not enough stars to compliment the chicken/steak fajita entre. Wow! Delicioso.. flavorful, excellent portion and well presented! I look forward to our next meal at Amigos! Happy Holiday! Cheers!

Yelp
My go to place for Mexican food on the North Shore. Come with your appetite as the portion sizes are large. The drinks are sensational, I personally recommend the margarita flight. You should absolutely get the guacamole as a starter. I also appreciate a Mexican restaurant that refills your chips before you can blink.

Yelp
Stopped in for drinks and apps. Drinks were good but nachos were mediocre, I personally just did not like the chips.. odd flavor - thick and maybe double fried. Once you ate through the top layer it was lackluster.. cheese was not layered throughout. Big nacho girl, these didn't do it for me

Yelp
Holy lord, what an enormous disappointment. Terrible food, terrible service, unclean silverware and glassware. So much went wrong that I don't even know where to begin. The first server came to the table and she was very sweet, pleasant, but really green. Stale chips and salsa were delivered without silverware or napkins because "someone didn't do their roll ups." No biggie. We set the chips aside because they were super old but free so we didn't want to complain. The beers came. I wasn't paying attention because I was talking to my friend and when I took my first sip I felt something slimy on my lip - I took the glass away and it was someone else's lipstick. Not lipstick that had been thru the dishwasher, lipstick on a still dirty unwashed glass. My friend ran the glass over to the bar while I went to the ladies room to wash my mouth - I had to use toilet paper because there are no paper towels. I came back to the table and now there another beer sitting there in a clean glass but not the Dos Equis that I was drinking before, some other kind, but whatever. Still not going to make a fuss - a manager should be by soon to make it right. A different server came to take our order and we ordered. I can't remember what my friend got, but I ordered the fajitas. Hers came out first and was just a big saucy looking plate of beans and rice with maybe enchiladas? Who knows. My fajitas were no where to be found. Our server went to "find out". My friend was going to wait for me to get my food to eat and I told to to please eat while it was hot. The rice was undercooked crunchy and burnt, no flavor, cheese or seasoning on the beans. So much sauce that she couldn't tell if she was eating chicken or pork. 10 mins later, my food showed up and she was done eating. I asked for take out boxes to just pack it up then asked to speak to the manager. 10 more minutes later the bill came which we paid in full in cash and were told the manager wasn't available. I called when I got home and they put me on hold and left me there until I eventually hung up. I don't think anyone is going to be shocked that I'll never return. I don't think they'd care anyway.

Yelp
Food was good - I ordered a chicken quesadilla. Could have used a bit more cheese for me but was seasoned perfectly. Jordan was my server. She's so nice and helpful! My favorite part of the meal was the watermelon margarita! I added mezcal per the menu suggestion and got coconut on the rim. Absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Excellent! Decided to visit the mall and was pleasantly surprised at the numerous new restaurants. Wanted Mexican and decided to try Amigos, we enjoyed everything we ordered. Started with the nachos added shredded chicken, generous portion and very good flavor. Also got the chicken fajitas great flavor and enough to share. We sat outside but inside looked wonderful, will definitely be back to try more of the menu and a margarita.
google avatar

Yelp
Food What a nice find! We started with a pina colada mocktail, and it was so tasty. The nachos were absolutely perfect. We ordered the one with chorizo, and it was very flavourful and nicely blended with all chips. The street tacos were great too. It is hard to find good tortillas in New England. Many times even though the meat inside is good, the tortillas are either too hard or too bland. Compared to the main course, the desserts were good, but not great. The fried ice cream was monster size, like four scoops. A good fried ice cream should have crispy fried dough shell around the whole ice cream, not just the top layer. Everything else The ambiance was fun and we came during COVID, the social distance was well maintained. Our waitress was super welcoming and enthusiastic, which made the whole experience very enjoyable.

Yelp
Ive been coming to this place since it opened and I can honestly say that the food and service has always been consistently great! The food & drinks are amazing and staff are super kind. 10 out of 10 recommend make sure you check them out !

Yelp
Not a great place. I sat at the bar. The bartender was very nervous and all over the place. Couldn't seem to focus. Asked questions above the questions about menu. Couldn't answer. I ordered and was basically ignored. Got food, fair, not great. He then screwed up my check. Charged me for someone else. I questioned it, no clue. The food is fair at best. Service is horrible.

Yelp
First time visitors who came on a whim and already in love. The service from the first step in is warm and friendly, with a good dash of humor. Our server, Vito, was phenomenal. Made us feel right at home and had the best recommendations for their margaritas. His lighthearted humor made our dining experience one we haven't had in months, something that males us want to come back. The drinks are strong but fairly priced, with lovely glasses to go in with tasty garnishes. I went with the Hibiscus Margarita and my boyfriend went with the Grand Marnier Margarita, two good choices. Both of us went with the Chimichanga Azteca and were not disappointed, it was well cooked and presented beautifully. For dessert we went with a classic, Flan. It was lovely to look at and even better tasting, definitely getting that again. 10/10 would recommend for drinks, dinner, or just a good relaxing time.

Yelp
We didn't time things right and we're gonna be late for a movie but our sweet server, Savvas, came to the rescue and made sure we were out in time to make it. We even got to see some trailers. Thank you Sav! Next time we come to Amigos, we'll ask to be seated in his section. Oh, and our food was super yummy :)
google avatar

Yelp
Good food (although the food truck tacos were a hair bland), gluten-free options, fun atmosphere, great service! Table-side Guac is delicious. Need more spice! Salsa was tasty but no heat.
google avatar

Toni T.

Yelp
I love a good Mexican restaurant and trying out new ones. I can't say how the food was because I didn't order any, so this review is based solely on the drinks. The Paloma and Margarita were delicious, and just enough!! The flavors were great and just enough to take an edge off, but not enough to get me wasted...a third probably would have done that. I loved all the paintings on the wall. I did feel "a restaurant in a mall" kind of vibe, but hey, it's in a mall. I definitely will go back to try the food and will later add to this review.
google avatar

Lnae M.

Yelp
Food is great, great pricing. Amazing drinks! Service is always friendly and very informative! The restaurant is super cute for drinks with the girls or a date night!

Yelp
Went today for lunch and sat at the bar. Everything about the visit was average to forgettable. Chips and salsa had zero taste. Salsa had no taste, no spice, boring. Could have served tomato sauce from a can with the same effect. Had 3 enchilada combo. Luke warm and bland. Also ordered 3 taco americano-make better tacos at home. No spice or flavor. Had to ask for hot sauce three times. First time trying...won't be back.

Yelp
We had great time at Amigo's Mexican Kitchen! Our waitstaff, Giovanni, was very attentive. Of the bat we knew that we were in good hands. Amigo's have a variety of Mexican faves, from tacos, burritos and egg y conchinita among other deliciousness. The portions are big and prices are reasonable.

Jeanne L.

Yelp
The food was good. The service was awful! We sat at the bar and was totally ignored for over 15-20 mins. Part of that time she was gone somewhere. There were only 4 other people at the bar and they were all set. Even after taking our drink order she was outside the bar fixing the sanitizer dispenser. We didn't even have the waters we requested. The Marg was good thankfully, but weak. I gave 4 stars because the food was good and I have read the service can be good. just not this bartender today!

Rose A.

Yelp
Came for the first time and we ended up walking out. We came on a Sunday and it was not busy and not many people. We were seated once we came in. After we sat down, no one came to our table for about 20 minutes. We were surprised because usually the waiter/waitress comes within minutes to take drink orders. 20 minutes goes by, some staff member randomly came and put chips on our table and left immediately. 5 more minutes goes by and still no one has came to take our drink order. Finally after about 25 minutes the waitress comes to take our drink orders. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or something but she was mumbling and we could barely hear her when she spoke. Finally got our drinks and guacamole which took very long. After waiting almost 40 minutes since we walked in we decided to just pay our drinks and guacamole and walk out of the restaurant. I have never see such terrible service. As we were leaving, our waitress was talking with some newly seated customers and she was speaking loud and clear to them, but with us she was just mumbling? I'm not sure what happened but I will never return. This was the weirdest restaurant I've been to. Our server was Emma. I noticed she treated us differently and she seemed to give amazing and quick service to others except my table.
google avatar

Anthony F.

Yelp
I have been to amigos a bunch of times, never had a bad experience. They have good menu and everything I have had has been good. One thing I really like is they give everyone at the table their own individual salsa for your chips. Also, I highly suggest trying the Doritos burrito, or the Frida burrito. You get a decent portion for the price and quality. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant.

Yelp
the food didn't taste very authentic here. not a big hit imo. the service was great and prompt tho.

Julia F.

Yelp
Disrespected and talked down to by two managers. Strange approach for a brand new restaurant to take when building relationships with new customers. Will not take IDs from out of state and will only take a passport as a 2nd form of ID. Also- they talk you into ordering Grande drinks for more $. Would not recommend to a family member or friend. Head to the Double Bull next door. Update: Was able to speak with manager over a phone call. Manager will not say his name because he is the owner of the restaurant. Also- they lost their liquor license in another location so they will not take Maine IDs and will discriminate based on state. The said the alcohol sales are vital to keep their business open- so size up for Grande! Also- Leila (the waitress) might find your yelp review funny! They should be ashamed.

Makia F.

Yelp
The servers, bartenders, and support staff are always polite, positive, well-groomed, professional, and accommodating. Whether I come with my kids and have a smaller bill without alcohol or I come with friends for dinner and drinks, the service is always on point! They will make anything exactly the way you ask for it! I love spicy food! I always order Grilled Fish Tacos and ask for them extra spicy! The bartender brought me two sauces one time and said they're his favorite. Now, I'll never eat anything there again without those sauces! I love my food piping hot (mother of small kids here so by the time I get my kids going my food can get cold). I've asked to have my food heated up and I've never been met with resistance or "you let your food get cold lady, we made it hot" type of response or attitude! I've worked in restaurants for 20 years and I can say this restaurants staff actually cares and takes pride in their level of service. It's also always very clean from the seating to bathrooms. I've never seen a piece of trash on the floor or a dirty tablet that needs to be cleaned. If have a dirty place or glass it's cleared away immediately. I notice these things when I go out to dinner and I appreciate the attention to detail. The side of street corn is AMAZING! Love that's it's cut off the cob first and the chipotle mayo and cheese is on top! The tamales are authentic and fresh! The fish tacos are my absolute favorite!
google avatar

Stanley L.

Yelp
One of the better Taco Salad (had mine with pork): fresh deep-fried shell, mixed with black beans and shredded lettuce, cheese and salsa. (Declined guacamole and sour cream.). Tasty and filling. Table Nachos were freshly made, and thick like they should be!
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
First time coming here and was impressed with the quality of the food. The soup was probably the best I have had at a Mexican restaurant (wish I took a pic.) They make it with a delicious cheese taste but it's not to overpowering at the same time. I also got a quesadilla and a skinny margarita and they were both delicious. Service was excellent and I loved having the convenience of being near the mall. I will probably come back in the future, and make sure I try the churros!
google avatar

Mama Z.

Yelp
If you've been walking around the mall for hours, you're starving and your happy place is Mexican food, the chips salsa and homemade guacamole hit the spot! If you really like good quality Mexican food and know what that tastes like, this is not the place for you. It does the job- it makes the kids happy. Put it on your list if you're going to watch the game, drink beers and eat chips.
google avatar

Maggie R.

Yelp
Just had dinner here tonight with my family. Everyone loved their food. Everything tasted great even the kids loved their food. We will definitely be back. We ordered the Guacamole which is made fresh right infront of you and it was really good. I got a virgin piña colada (as I'm 9mths pregnant) it was delicious. I also ordered the Enchiladas Banderas with green tomatillo sauce, my husband got the Chimichanga with carnitas and our son got a cheeseburger and fries. My niece got the Tacos Americanos with beef my other niece got the chicken quesadilla. If you haven't tried Amigos yet I would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
Best Mexican restaurant in the area. Fresh made table side guac, sizzling fajitas, amazing drinks and Modelo on draft. Can't go wrong with this family owned Mexican restaurant. The staff is always so kind and the food portions are generous

Yelp
First time trying Amigos and I've never had such tasteless Mexican food in the North Shore. We ordered quesadillas and burritos and both of them were extremely underwhelming quesadilla was greasy and mushy the chicken was tasteless steak was dry. Their Spanish rice is pretty boring but not that bad. I gave them an extra star because times are tough right now and I don't know what they're going through but they need to get their s*** together. Almost half of the food was thrown away. With competition like NexMex thing, Acapulco's, Mexicali it will be tough for these guys. Burritos from Chipotle are honestly tastier in more seasoned. Good luck :/
