I stopped by this place on a whim and noticed it had no reviews, so curiosity got the best of me. A quick look at the menu suggested an identity crisis: a cafe attached to an Italian deli with fresh pasta offerings and classic italian sandwiches… plus rotisserie chicken, Taiwanese pork rice, and fried rice?
That mix alone made me want to try the fried rice—because as simple as it seems, good fried rice follows a strict order and a rule: use day-old or cold rice.
I watched the cook start by heating oil with scallions to draw out their aroma. He reached for a container of cold rice. Eureka. This place gets it. There’s no identity crisis here—he’s simply cooking what he knows, loves, and understands.
The fried rice is a must-try. Eggs are not over cooked and soft. Every grain of rice is bouncy and evenly coated in salty, savory, perfectly balanced flavor. It’s done right.
The owner is very friendly and attentive to what is happening in the kitchen
I’ll definitely be back
