After a neighbor bragged about this place, I had to give it a try. It's pretty good with fair prices, but nothing to die for. I'll probably be back and would like to form an opinion about an entree or two instead of just their pizza, bread and wings.
By far the pizza was the favorite of my order. A simple large cheese pizza which tasted even better the second day reheated. It tasted quality unlike some of the better-known pizza places. The dough and crust were excellent as well as the cheese. I especially liked the crust wasn't too thin or too thick, it was filling but didn't remind me of the thickness of Texas toast.
The garlic bread with cheese was a very simple dish that I could live without, but it was flavorful and filling. A fair amount of garlic slapped on to a hoagie roll, cheese was added and it was tossed in to an oven. It wasn't bad and for the price it wasn't regretful.
Out of the whole dictionary the best word I can describe the wings with is "OK". The blue cheese included is boring and the celery is adorable, but let's talk meat. They were heavily breaded and deep fried. Most places do this, and for a deep fried wing it tasted pretty good. After just a few they are pretty filling but leave you feeling guilty and greasy afterwards. (Really scrubbing the oil off your hands after, and 10 or 15 minutes later you're still clearing your throat). However, as negative as that sounded that's normal for fried wings, I haven't had a fried wing in a while I suppose. I wish they had an option of grilled or baked wings, or less breaded wings. To give them credit there was a decent amount of meat on them though.
The last thing I'll comment on is one of my few OCD things, the prices and how random some of them seem. I didn't sift through each and every item but one did stand out. Some specials seem to contradict themselves. On certain days of the week it's cheaper to order separate than a special. For instance their "pizza and wings" and "don't want to cook" specials
Special1= large pizza, 10 wings = $19.50
Special2= the same thing + 2L soda = $23.50. This means you're adding a 2L soda for $4. But without the special a 2L is only $3.50. (Meaning the "don't want to cook" special actually costs you more money than simply ordering it separately).
There's other discrepancies too such as on Monday through weds, the double up "special" actually means they're selling you a 2L of soda for $5.60, there's cheaper options simply by placing your order differently. Not a deal breaker, not a major concern, just mildly annoying that "specials" are more expensive (not about the money just principle).
All that said, I live very close by and I'll be back for sure.
