Great food. Found this place through suggestion, to celebrate Wifey's birthday. Ordered the set, and different dishes of each set. Anti Pasti and Pasta dishes were great. Meat was a little under par, but still good.

Went to Amo to celebrate a friend’s birthday on a Sunday evening but the overall experience was so bad due to its poor service. Right after we were seated, within 5 minutes the waitress came over and asked if we were ready to order. It felt like we were being rushed. Later, when we were ready to order, we asked about the portion size of the 4-course set menu as we were deciding if we wanted to do any add-ons. The waitress responded rather curtly with, “It’s a 4-course set, of course the portions are going to be smaller.” I mean, yes—I expected smaller portions, but we wanted to clarify how small? Then came the next incident: when our mains arrived, one of us was served pork instead of the beef we ordered. When we flagged it out, she insisted that we ordered pork! Which we calmly replied that we had ordered the beef from the beginning. She responded with a rather annoyed tone, “Nevermind!” and took the plate away. When the correct dish was finally served, she just placed it down and walked off without a word, no apology, no acknowledgment. We were there to celebrate an occasion but with the kind of service given, it was rather rude and dismissive considering that we are the paying customers. For a restaurant like Amo, this level of service is honestly shocking and disappointing. The food may be good, but the service completely overshadowed it. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

We had quite a few dishes and 2 bottles of wine. Mostly recommended by the Manager. He was friendly and patient with us. Great guy. Apologise as I didn’t get his name. Dishes were are delicately prepared and delicious. Very authentic and a great place to host people. Will be back again for sure.

This is our first time at Amo but we felt right at home, chatting with the friendly staff. Needless to say service was excellent especially the drinks were well executed by bartender Mandip. After learning that one of us is vegetarian, he made a drink customised to the tastebud of our friend. The food were tasty and not too salty. We liked everything we ordered except for a 3rd dessert which we felt was not so well made (the taste didn’t seem right). The other desserts were fantastic though. The only ‘complaint’ we had was that the portions were small. That said, we highly recommend Amo for a nice time out with friends and for couples as well.

Amo was very busy on friday night. The food was amazingly fantastic. Shout out to LEE our server who constantly checked on us and anticipated all our needs. She was too busy, though. I can't imagine how she managed everything, just made everyone happy. We really had a memorable night in amo and we will definitely be back again. IF you are looking for very good pizza's and pasta's, AMO RESTAURANT is the key.

Amo has long been one of my favourite Italian spots —casual, unpretentious, and consistently serving great food. They keep things exciting with new creations that keep regulars coming back. While their wood-fired pizzas and homemade pastas are well-loved, their charcoal-grilled mains are just as satisfying. Love the wagyu beef carpaccio with parmigiana and truffle relish. The pumpkin soup is also freshly made with roasted pumpkin. Grilled octopus was perfectly tender. Can’t go wrong with grilled wagyu beef! Don’t leave without trying their panna cotta with blood orange caramel —it’s one of the best, infused with natural vanilla.

some of my friends are big fans of the woodfired pizza here but i would say go for the handmade pastas and entrees instead - the new entrants into the sg pizza scene have made it difficult for amo to compete i also recommend the 2 course set lunch for only 28!!! such good value and amo did NOT compromise on quality. pumpkin soup was so good - sweet pumpkin puree w a dash of cream and loved the addition of pesto and hazelnut. a symphony of refreshing flavours the lamb chops were also super tender and not gamey! but what really surprised me the most was the DESSERTS. panna cotta was silky with real vanilla beans. the blood orange caramel was also just the right level of sweetness the pistachio lava cake was also bomb af. moist cake oozing with pistachio creme tiramisu was also light and creamy

Food was not bad but I feel that the service here wasnt the best. Was greeted initially by a middle aged Chinese man at first, who did an excellent job recommending dishes and matching our vibe (for the food today) However subsequently our server was an In dian gentleman. The thing is, we felt he was rather brisk (moved my cup even though I placed it in a certain way, put down dishes in a rather huffy manner). It shocked us and interrupted the conversation I was having with my friend. Understand that perhaps it’s not prime service period (aka dinner) but I feel we still deserve to be treated better la

Yelp
Second time we visited. All the dishes were wonderful except for the pasta. It was rather bland. It was not as good as we remembered it to be. Maybe the chef had an off day. Of special note though is the roast chicken. It really is to die for. Well worth the visit and will come again. #maneklady #manekeats

Yelp
Newly opened just 2 months ago, this place is perfect for a chill Friday night out. Good buzz, attentive & amiable servers. They highly recommended their pizzas, but we decided to go for the widely photographed/publicized Boston Lobster tagliatelle for sharing. It was as good as expected, fresh juicy lobster, paired with homemade pasta - left us stuffed. The calamari appetizer was excellent with the aioli, but slightly pricey for the serving. Seafood was very fresh though. Tried the ricotta castagnole too - would highly recommend, but do share with a bigger group. It does get a bit too heavy for just 2 people. However the little fried dough balls were glorious dipped in the alcoholic custard, complete with a burst of salty sweet ricotta in the middle. Bill came up to ~$140 for 2 for the above 3 dishes, without drinks. Will return to try their other dishes!

Yelp
Good Italian spot on HK Street. This place = my definition of a solid 4/5 stars restaurant. Good food, good service, good wine selection though nothing wow. The highlight here is the pizza - very good dough with generous toppings. Other items - grills, etc. are standard - good quality ingredients with solid execution but nothing particularly notable.

Yelp
I was surprised by the good reviews. The pizza was alright, the cod fish was abit fishy and tasted blend. And the heirloom tomato salad was so underwhelming. For the prices they charge, it was very disappointing and not worth the trip. We skipped dessert as the food wasn't good. Maybe we ordered the wrong food but we definitely won't be back again.

Yelp
This was a lovely, chill place for Friday evening with an excellent ambiance. I arrived right around 10pm to catch the kitchen open for another 15 minutes or so. I got the Friday night cocktail special. The bartenders served some yummy spicy olives to start. I was told by the great bartenders to get the pizza. I was not disappointed! I got the pizza (I don't remember the name bc I was blinded by hunger) with the delicious prosciutto and finely minced basil and olive oil and ate the whole thing! #piggypower I also got an old fashioned with a new bourbon they'd just got in and it was phenomenal and didn't break the bank. The owner even shared with me all of the new wines he just brought in on the menu and was very informative and passionate about his work. Just go and experience this place. It's warm and relaxing at the bar!
