Celebrate World Pasta Day (25 October) by trying one of these unusual pastas - SilverKris

"A Hongkong Street institution better known for its thin pizzas also offers an impressive pasta lineup; the casarecce with black pepper, guanciale (cured pork jowl) and saffron is a deceptively simple yet flavorful dish—al dente rolled tubes that trap the sauce and seasoning so well you’ll likely be asking for seconds." - Rachel Eva Lim

We had a wonderful dinner experience here. The food was truly great, with every dish impressing us. The artichoke fries were a unique and special start, and the calamari was perfectly crispy and flavorful. We thoroughly enjoyed the homemade pastas—both the crab pasta and the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms were delicious. The iberico pork and grilled wagyu were excellent. Service was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. Unfortunately, our enjoyment was significantly marred by the seating location. We were placed in a corner where the air conditioning was not working. While a fan was provided, it was still quite warm, which detracted from an otherwise perfect dining experience.

really enjoyed the food here! wagyu beef with truffle mash was delish! the beef was so tender and flavorful, yet still felt so light and not jelak? it was so good we forgot to take a pic! iberico pork was also amazing! margherita pizza was bomb - i think what really nailed it was the crust, which was crispy on the outside yet still chewy on the inside. it’s also a thin crust, and it’s slightly crispy at the base too, which was lovely! the tomato sauce was also light and tart, which provided a nice contrast to the burrata cheese burrata salad was made with quality ingredients, and i rly enjoyed the pairing of the burrata with pistachio and fresh figs! it was nice to alternate between a bite of nutty burrata, and a bite of fruity burrata

Came to Amo for a gathering and birthday celebration — our first visit. The food was overall nice, with the Charcoal Grilled Wagyu Beef standing out as the highlight. It was a little raw for our liking at first, but the team helped to cook it a bit more, and it turned out great. Service-wise, one of the servers made a few slightly strange comments, but we could tell she was genuinely trying her best to provide good service, which we appreciated. A pleasant dining experience overall.

Visited Amo with my gf and we were both impressed with Kirby’s recommendations - they fulfilled our taste buds beautifully. Came back a 2nd time with my family to try out more dishes. Had to have e same highlights, seafood pasta, grilled octopus and tiramisu. E other dishes like parma ham and wagyu steak were pleasing too. We left happy, especially myself once again. Definitely a place to visit and revisit.

The standout dish is the tiramisu. The other dishes are quite mediocre; I expected more umami and punch from the crab pasta. The beef was okay, but it was “ raw,” so it didn’t showcase any particular cooking technique. The octopus leg could be charred a bit more for added flavour. Service is very prompt, fast, and welcoming.

The area we were sitting has a very weird flow of air - sudden cold and warm air. It was a small issue, service is good and food in general is alright. Burrata is great imo, I’d also recommend Strozzapreti with Jumbo Crab, San Marzano Tomato and Mascarpone. It’s great! The Wagyu Beef Hanging Tender Tagliata with Truffle Mash however was alittle underwhelming, with beef tasting abit more gamey (for a steak lover) and truffle taste in mash ain’t that pronounced. Excited to try the pistachio and white choc lava cake, but lava ain’t lava-ing, amaretto cream wasn’t as generous either. It didn’t feel like a $16 dessert tbh.

I know about Amo through DBS 1-1 deal so we decided to check it out. The food was really good, in fact I'm already planning my next visit there. . We had yellowfin tuna tartar for appetizer, mains: lamb, iberico pork and porchetta pizza. We loved the pizza most and we want to go back and try more pizzas. The service was alright... They had two corporate groups there today night. Overall a very pleasant discovery.

It was our first time at Amo, and definitely not the last. The location was quite central, and accessible from the MRT with just a short walk. The restaurant decor had a rustic vibe, like those that you can find in Europe. And the food was amazing. The menu was simple and not overwhelming, and the staff was quick to recommend their signature dishes. We tried 1 appetizer, 1 pizza, 2 pasta and 1 main, and everything came out quickly and tasted wonderful. We even ordered 1 more pasta as the portion was a bit small. The spaghetti was perfectly al-dente, and the sauce was beautiful. We will surely come back soon.

Yelp
Second time we visited. All the dishes were wonderful except for the pasta. It was rather bland. It was not as good as we remembered it to be. Maybe the chef had an off day. Of special note though is the roast chicken. It really is to die for. Well worth the visit and will come again. #maneklady #manekeats

Yelp
Newly opened just 2 months ago, this place is perfect for a chill Friday night out. Good buzz, attentive & amiable servers. They highly recommended their pizzas, but we decided to go for the widely photographed/publicized Boston Lobster tagliatelle for sharing. It was as good as expected, fresh juicy lobster, paired with homemade pasta - left us stuffed. The calamari appetizer was excellent with the aioli, but slightly pricey for the serving. Seafood was very fresh though. Tried the ricotta castagnole too - would highly recommend, but do share with a bigger group. It does get a bit too heavy for just 2 people. However the little fried dough balls were glorious dipped in the alcoholic custard, complete with a burst of salty sweet ricotta in the middle. Bill came up to ~$140 for 2 for the above 3 dishes, without drinks. Will return to try their other dishes!

Yelp
Good Italian spot on HK Street. This place = my definition of a solid 4/5 stars restaurant. Good food, good service, good wine selection though nothing wow. The highlight here is the pizza - very good dough with generous toppings. Other items - grills, etc. are standard - good quality ingredients with solid execution but nothing particularly notable.

Yelp
I was surprised by the good reviews. The pizza was alright, the cod fish was abit fishy and tasted blend. And the heirloom tomato salad was so underwhelming. For the prices they charge, it was very disappointing and not worth the trip. We skipped dessert as the food wasn't good. Maybe we ordered the wrong food but we definitely won't be back again.

Yelp
This was a lovely, chill place for Friday evening with an excellent ambiance. I arrived right around 10pm to catch the kitchen open for another 15 minutes or so. I got the Friday night cocktail special. The bartenders served some yummy spicy olives to start. I was told by the great bartenders to get the pizza. I was not disappointed! I got the pizza (I don't remember the name bc I was blinded by hunger) with the delicious prosciutto and finely minced basil and olive oil and ate the whole thing! #piggypower I also got an old fashioned with a new bourbon they'd just got in and it was phenomenal and didn't break the bank. The owner even shared with me all of the new wines he just brought in on the menu and was very informative and passionate about his work. Just go and experience this place. It's warm and relaxing at the bar!
