Came in last night (Thursday) without a reservation around dinner time and were seated immediately. I don't expect this to always be the case when word gets out about this amazing restaurant though, plan accordingly! Went the full tapas route and everything we ate was fantastic. Arancini, frittes, cous cous, zalouk toast, mushrooms, butter board, fritto misto, and a flourless chocolate cake to top it off! Plenty of vegetarian items on the menu which is greatly appreciated. We were checked on regularly and you could tell everyone from the owner, to chef, to staff took pride in their work. Food came out quickly, had gorgeous presentation, and we left full and excited to come back.
This is definitely a great spot for date night, intimate family gatherings, or a cozy evening out with friends. We are thrilled Pacific Ave has yet another gorgeous restaurant to add to its already impressive lineup!
My single (very minor) critique in an overwhelmingly positive experience is that the butter board had odd portions. A shocking amount of butter (it's in the name, I realize this lol) didn't disappoint but the plate definitely didn't come with a comparable amount of bread. We generously slathered the butters on each bite but still had to order more bread for an additional $5. The staff made clear would be an extra charge which was so much better than getting a surprise addition to the bill later. However, charging more up front for a reasonable amount of bread or charging less for a smaller portion of butter would probably be better for overall guest experience. Still delicious, but you're probably looking at a $10 appetizer rather than $5.
[Please note that as of 6/22 the menu on the website is not current. We came in with a picky eater who was really excited to try some specific items off the website but almost none of them were on the in-restaurant menu]
