"Stink is a family-friendly spot in Tacoma that recently reopened for indoor dining. They specialize in charcuterie boards and cheese platters, both of which we’d consider perfect pairings for a gin and tonic." - team infatuation

I had the pleasure of dining at Amor Tapas and Wine yesterday, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. Despite being short-staffed with only two waiters, the service was exceptional. My waitress, Nadine, was wonderful—attentive, friendly, and made sure I felt well taken care of throughout my meal. I decided to go all-in with the appetizers and also ordered an entrée, which was hands down the best decision! Each dish was flavorful and delicious, offering a perfect variety of tastes. I paired it all with a refreshing Pina Mimosa, which complemented the meal beautifully. Though I was away from my wife for work and spending Valentine’s Day solo, this cozy restaurant made the evening feel special. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and I truly enjoyed the entire experience. I’m so glad I chose this place. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and an intimate atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Have come here twice and had wonderful service both visits. We enjoy trying a variety of menu items. The meatballs were my favorite but the steak was also super tender and well cooked. My husband enjoyed their wine selection while I enjoyed a cocktail.

We had a great anniversary dinner here. I'm not a big wine drinker (cider beer, am I right?) But this place had the best tasting wines. Service was impeccable. Very friendly. Going to make this a regular date night for us. Seating area was a little tight but doable.

What an absolute Tacoma gem! This is the perfect date night spot. We got a reservation for Saturday night, and it was an amazing time. We ordered all the tapas to split, and it was the perfect amount for a light meal. All of the tapas were amazing, from the eggplant to the albondigas. I will probably dream about the empanada for weeks, it was so light and crisp! Service was top notch and made us feel like we were the only people in the place (even though it was very packed and very busy). If you need a place to have a flight of Spanish wines and feel like you're sitting in Barcelona to chase away the winter blues, Amor is the place!

First off, I want to say that our server Toni was amazing 👏. She helped us navigate all our questions. It was our first time there. My wife was very happy with her French 75. She gave it a 3.5. I was pleased with my hefewiesen, and then I had an Oban scotch 14 year after dinner. For our food, we had Pimento Relleno stuffed pepper (wife). I had a bite, and it reminded me of my mom's stuffed peppers growing up. I ordered Gambas Al Ajillo, Pattaya Bravas, and Charcuterie E Fromage. It was really, really good. Before dinner, I knew we were going to order the Canollis. 2 were brought out, 1 was Pistachio, and the other was Chocolate. We both preferred the chocolate. Now, that is just a personal preference statement. The Pistachio was pretty good. They have a large wine list and a good size bar for other drinks. We were able to have good conversations while dining there. Some places are just too loud, and you almost have to yell to talk to the people at you table. Go check this place out. We had a very nice time.

This is the most delightful and fun restaurant with an unbelievably huge offering of free activities in Cle Elum. Outstanding ambiance for a summer picnic and the many games and activities are very unique! Our favorites were mini golf and the fire pit with Adirondack chairs under bistro lights. Outstanding customer service and reasonable prices, you can even bring your own food. They have a cool hot dog food truck or offer food from Stella's. Highly recommended and good vegan and gluten free options. The best homemade nachos I have ever had.

This was our first visit tonight to Amor - we had Latin jazz… The music was wonderful and the food and service and wine were five stars in our opinion. The bartender did an amazing job serving a full bar and the food was delicious. We ordered the fall sampler selection and a steak and everything was fantastic. This is our new favorite place in Tacoma we will be back soon.

First time here.. ordered tapas for two, French 75 and a Vesper! Food and drinks were outstanding and delicious! See you next time

Mattea D.

Yelp
Came here on a reservation at 6:45 (Sunday) - restaurant was not packed but there were enough guests for a good atmosphere of people and conversations. Reviewed the menu and got a couple drinks (vesper, French 75), a number of tapas! (So good) and 2 entrees - steak and mushroom and pea carbonara. Service was great and the food was really good. True tapas but now that we've tried some, maybe we would order bigger portions of some? Hard to say, having a variety is so nice.

Yelp
Can't wait to move to Tacoma to be closer to Amor! My wife and I split the 10 course menu with one entree and the wine pairing and brought half of the entree home. The Butter Board was a great start. I loved the Roasted Tomato butter and my wife loved the Pesto butter. The Figs & Prosciutto was actually figs, salami, cheese, olives, and nuts and jam. A perfect pairing with the bread. Having Persimmon with the Burrata was a nice change-up. This was followed by Butternut Squash soup and then Patatas Bravas, which were incredible - crunchy on the outside and flaky and tender on the inside. And the sofrito and smoky ailoi were perfect compliments to the potato. The beef and pork meatball was nothing special, but everything else was... so I am not complaining : ) The last appetizer was the Citrus Braised Pork Belly. There was the perfect amount of fat on one side, with crispy meat on the other - SUPERB! Maybe it was because we were full, but the Paella was good, but not great. The rice itself could have used a bit more character. That said, the chef finished strong with the Bread Pudding with Persimmon and White Balsamic Caramel. We found out that we were hungry all over again. This was heavenly. OH... and if you get the wine paring, expect 4 full pours, not a little sip. If you don't share the wine however, you might need a designate driver : ) We were told that they change up the menu regularly. Can't wait to come back and try something new.

Yelp
A cozy place for wine and tapas. I heard from the waitress that they recently changed their menu to a preset menu for $74 per person. However, guests are able to order any items individually (and at a slightly larger size) as an "appetizer." This worked well for my party as we weren't super hungry and just wanted some bites to share. Wine list was solid, I got the Italian flight (3 reds) which was quite good. Our soup and burrata items were tasty. The paella was great for sharing! There was a crust of rice on the bottom, which is how it's supposed to be! I wish there was a bit more saffron flavor though. Service was attentive and friendly. Things got a lot busier when dinner rush patrons arrived.

Yelp
Came on New Years Day and I noted that the place was almost empty except for a small group at the bar. Sis noted that our waiter winced when I said that out loud like he was offended, even though I was pleased as punch to avoid the crowd and it would make our meal quiet and intimate. She said that's when she could tell he didn't like us. I finally noticed he didn't like us when I ordered a beer and he kinda harrumphed, as if he was mad that the tip would be lower because I wasn't feeling wine. He did a good job clearing plates, but you could feel the attitude emanating off of him. We didn't let that stop us from enjoying our meal. The food was pretty good. Each of us ordered the "All Tapas" menu so we got all the tapas listed plus two more that weren't on the list. Maybe we should've ordered one All Tapas with the entree, because it was filling (we know when you order tapas it's for sharing, but we were afraid the portions might not sate our appetite, but we were wrong). My favorite bites were the persimmon with burrata and the potatos brava. This is definitely worth trying again, but I probably won't be back because that server hates us, lol.

Yelp
Amor is very unassuming from the outside- situated right on a row of bars and restaurants in downtown Tacoma. Inside has very limited seating, very cozy. I am so happy we decided to try Amor. From start to finish, the whole experience was phenomenal. Our waitress was the only server this evening, and she did a great job keeping up with all her tables. We opted to share the 8 course meal- it was plenty of food for the two of us. Each tapas was delicious. My favorite was the crostini and the fig tapas. We shared the filet for our entree- it was cooked perfectly. Seriously some of the best food we have had in a long time. I had a Cabernet for my wine, the server let me sample a few before I chose. We will definitely be back- I'm hoping they mix up their menu seasonly. Looking forward to another delicious experience!

Yelp
Had dinner here for the first time. Based off what I had read online I thought it was more of a wine bar but I think the dinner was fantastic, the layout of the restaurant actually has both a dinning room and a bar area so it's good for both drinks or a formal dinner. One of the things I loved about it is that their appetizer menu had both tapas and appetizer sizes. We ordered one of almost everything at the tapas size and the price was very affordable, about 5$ per dish, and the food was excellent. For mains we had the steak and mushroom pasta. We loved the food and drinks. The service was excellent and food was brought in a way where we always had something on our table but never too much. I will definitely return. One dish I recommend is the potatas bravas. It's odd to say but the chef really cooks potatoes well, it was really a highlight!

Jennica C.

Yelp
We have been here before with different menus and every time we come, we are satisfied with our meals. Very Delicious food and cocktails. The service is always great, we always get the same server and she is always phenomenal! It is a very nice space with an even better patio!

Yelp
We had an absolutely wonderful time tonight at Amor. What a lovely experience! We started with tasting some new wines to select what we wanted to drink, then moved on to some lovely Tapas selections and a beer. So excited to be here and have had such a wonderful experience. Our server, Michelle, was absolutely wonderful. She made some fabulous recommendations, helped me pair my wine with my food, and is just a delightful human. Everyone we encountered at Amor was wonderful - what a great team! I really love the feel of the rooms and tables... you enter and get a wonderful feel for mellow and fun at the same time. The decor is stunning with amazing coordination, along with beautiful glassware and plating.

Ohmar G.

Yelp
I was taken to this cute tapas place and it definitely did not disappoint. Some of the dishes change seasonally but the menu is delicious, especially with the extra wine pairings. The Flavors are out of this world here!

Pearl L.

Yelp
I made a reservation just in case to ensure a spot for my boyfriend and I. As we entered, we were greeted by Noel who was also our server. She asked if we had reservations then led us to a beautiful room in the restaurant with a lovely dangling chandelier with several other tables and chairs spaced out evenly. Once we were seated, she presented us with the menus and warmly told us that if we had any questions then she would be happy to answer them. After several minutes, she came by with a happy hour menu and told us that happy hour was specifically for the bar area but she would be happy to allow it for us. I thought that was really thoughtful and a great way to definitely showcase some of their options! We decided to get the sangria blanco, seared scallop, albondigas, butter board, smoked duck with cranberry, and seared mushrooms. The food and drink arrived pretty quickly to our surprise and each dish was absolutely spot on with flavors, presentation, and portions. The highlights for us were the mushrooms, seared scallop, and butter board for sure. We are definitely talking about returning back to try out their paella as I feel there aren't a lot of places that serve paella and Amor does such an amazing job of capturing flavors that the paella here will be a showstopper. With the romantic and intimate ambiance, stellar service, and amazing food and drinks, I truly think Amor is a fantastic addition to the food scene in Tacoma.

Yelp
Made a reservation and it was closed when we arrived-- no sign or notification. Disappointed and really wanted to try!

Yelp
Update: We were able to stop in for a tapas dinner thanks to a Yelp Giving Event. The "free" tapas were all very good and the wines were tasty. A couple of notes on what I think would take Amor to the top: 1. Remember to ask guests if there are any allergies. We were told there is a "house" seasoning on the almonds but we have no idea what's in it (you can look at the menu if you need to know). 2. Explain the dishes. Instead of leaving the scallop tapas and expecting that your diners will ask what the sauce is, tell us. Tell the diners what accompanies the tapas plates and why. Tell us what we're eating and the story behind it. 3. Know the difference between shrimp and scallops. 4. Pace the tapas dinner. Having 3-4 dishes come out together takes up a lot of real estate and ensures that a hot dish will get cold. 5. Show some enthusiasm for the dishes! 6. Consistency in dishes served the same night is paramount. Nothing we had was bad. But much of it was all hurried. This may have been because it followed a Yelp event that packed the whole house and left little time to execute dishes before closing at 8. The mushroom tapas was somewhat inconsistent from the Yelp event to the tapas service which was surprising. Could also be why the second serving of the chorizo on baguette came on a burned baguette that the flavorful chorizo couldn't overcome. Our favorite dish? The squid ink risotto. Hands down. It doesn't look scary despite our server's comment to that effect. Both servings were great and the grilled octopus was perfect. Of course, we still love the blue cheesecake.

Yelp
I came here for a quiet solo experience. I arrived by myself and left having made several new lovely acquaintances. It is a friendly atmosphere upon entry during my visit . The staff are wonderfully accommodating as is the owner. The food tastes as delicious as it looks. I tried a variety of tapas (pictured), plated beautifully! They came out timely and served at the perfect temperatures. I am excited to go back and try more tapas and entrees. The six tapas filled me & I could not fathom a main course. My drinks were well made and the bartenders were cheerful & conversational but not overly so. I highly recommend locals to try but it is also worth a drive, as it was about 25 minute drive south of me.

Yelp
Ya'll 36 mafia and some of memphis' trillest came by this establishment earlier this week. Amor POPS OFF but you better be ready to throw down on some prices. We ordered the whole damn tapas menus. Top contenders are: mussels, scallops, potatoes, and olives. THE SQUID INK RISOTTO: you must be outside your mind...to think of this. Stained my teeth. Straight up. Idk if I liked this or not but I give you some props. OVERALL Amor gets top regards. Stay trill in the meantime and keep being yourselves. 5 stars.

Yelp
Visited early on a Saturday evening. This was an incredible date night and meal. Our server and bartender Nathan absolutely made our evening and experience extraordinarily special. We only ate tapas and wine flights, no entrees. The pace of food was very good. The presentation was excellent. And the staff made us feel really special. These are all ingredients for a truly amazing dining experience. Not all of the tapas were to our liking, but also we tried some dishes that were unfamiliar and found new favorite flavors too. We will absolutely be back. Thank you to the wonderful staff!

Mackenzie M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and service at Amor. I ordered the braised beef and it was delicious!

Monique D.

Yelp
The ambiance was fantastic! I came to hear a friend sing but was pleasantly surprised with the yummy coconut mimosa (forget what it's called) and the side house salad was refreshing. I tried paella for the first time so I didn't know what to expect. It was pretty tasty;y husband and I were able to share the paella for one.

Tara B.

Yelp
Really delicious tapas and a ridiculously extensive wine list. We've been three times since June and loved each visit.

Wendy P.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing . Cozy romantic atmosphere, stellar service and to-die-for food!!!! From the owner all the way down to the entertainment, at a loss for words!!! Been back once already and plan on going back many more times

Karin O.

Yelp
Went in for 10 AM opening. Nobody was there perfect time to eat breakfast by the time we left restaurant was half full. So make sure you get there early on Sunday morning. Service was 10 out of 10 the server was very knowledgeable and the owner came over and spoke with us about the food. The coffee serves 3 to 4 people. We shared the cream and berry waffle, which was moist and sweet and perfect. Every dish presented beautifully and tasted equally as good. I could not have asked for a better start to my day. Next time I go back I definitely want to do the $18 all you can drink mimosa. Or the happy hour which is every day. The ambience had a jazzy slow beautiful Sunday morning feel. definitely going to go back. I am very excited to try everything on the menu.

Donna A.

Yelp
I enjoyed my time at the event. I did have to ask several times what the food was that was placed for the event. The wines were delicious, but the food was not to my liking. I will be going to try the brunch and the happy.

Marah H.

Yelp
Amor is an elegant tapas and wine restaurant in beautiful Tacoma, with a romantic and warm ambiance and a menu that offers flavors you could only imagine. The food was absolutely to die for and for a non-wine-drinker, I could not get enough of their wonderful pairings. You can anticipate this place to be busy, but the friendly and professional service will not disappoint. I would be remiss if I do not HIGHLY recommend that you try the seared scallop; it's the best made scallop in the state. Cheers!

Brittany H.

Yelp
Delicious drinks and tapas. Calming atmosphere with friendly service. I loved this place. It is fancy, but relaxing. Their menu has plenty of options with fancy names. The food and drinks are delicious & presented artistically.

Annie Q.

Yelp
It was our first visit to Amor for an impromptu dinner after a long day and they did not disappoint. There was incredible live music by Alma Villegas and band, the food was so very satisfying and our server, Noelle, could not have provided better customer service. The filet we ordered was made medium rare, like we asked, but a bit too charred on the outside for my daughter's liking so she replaced it instantly.

Dianne T.

Yelp
The experience at this restaurant was "ok". We were there on a concert night, and gave ourselves an hour and a half to eat something before heading over to The Pantages. It took 45 minutes before they even took our order, and then only came back once, to (bring our check). The place was not at all crowded, but it seemed there was only one person working that night, so she was tending bar, seating tables and being server all at once. Which would seem like a lot, but there were only 3 tables to serve, and no one actually sitting at the bar. So I can't really give her much sympathy, on this particular evening. The food was good, but not really worth the price. Also, I thought this was a wine bar, but didn't really see much wine. Everything visible at the bar was liquor. Overall, I'd say it was a 3 star experience.

Pedren A.

Yelp
Amazing staff, decor, & the food was exquisite!! Plan a brunch date soon! You won't be disappointed.

Crystal H.

Yelp
I was so excited to come back and bring friends to Amor. My first experience was stellar. This was so disappointing. Made a reservation for the heated patio. would not have made a resy if it were not advertised as heated It was not heated. We were told that the owner was going to turn them on. He did not. We tried ourselves after chattering our teeth. Valve wide open and no fuel... no heat. We asked to be seated indoors and were accommodated that is why there are 2 stars. We asked for more bread for the bread board, never got any. Service dismal. We had to ask for menus and flatware. My Sangria was not potable. The food was mediocre . Such a small portion for rack of lamb ( 4) i raised lambs and know that that is not a rack... $40?? I total for 3 people $250. We had drinks and ordered tapas and entrees. I will not be coming back and not recommending to friends. So sad because i really loved it last time.

Moe G.

Yelp
I arrived at Amor nervously shortly before my date had gotten there so I could look over the menu and find the perfect spot for us to sit, noticing my anxiousness, Karen jumped to rescue. She offered a quick drink and recommended a few lovely things from the menu. Once my date had arrived we hit it off and spent more time talking than eating, although we ordered the charcuterie board and several of their home made cocktails, one of which I recommend is the PLUM and the Margarita. I can only recommend the Charcuterie board as it was all we ate, however the service from Karen was fantastic and the relaxed vibe of the restaurant served our nerves well. We will be back to try out the food soon. Thank you Karen :)

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I liked this place! We had a Groupon and got 12 tapas and a wine flight for two. We got 4 different wines, all a nice variety. We had some tasty food. I really enjoyed the chorizo toast and the duck tapas. While the food was good I do not think the Groupon was worth it. It was $230 for 12 tapas and two wine flights. If you get all the tapas on the menu it's $106. I find it hard to believe that two wine flights cost $100.

Katherine J.

Yelp
Good service and good food. The restaurant inside can be hot in the summer and it is a little crowded also inside when it is full.

Michael S.

Yelp
Yes, Yes, Yes!!! The rave reviews in various local papers are true! Finally popped into Amor with my Love. We had a lovely wait-recommended Spanish wine along with their $95 set flight of tapas! Everything was delicious and amazing! The services is impeccable! There when you need it, water refills that you don't even notice, dishes coming and going quickly, ready to answer questions/needs, and friendly comfortable. This is a well-run restaurant where people seem to enjoy being on this team. Met the owner too - you can tell Amor is a labor of Love! The space is gorgeous with a slightly more casual area up front with the bar (and what looks like a very nice offering of cocktails), and a lovely dining area further back by the busy kitchen window (love that)!). We sat in the dining room and were glad we had reservations because it quickly filled with happy people enjoying their libations and bites! And the food again! Yes! We do a lot of our own tapas/charcuterie at home, so we have a pretty high bar and are often underwhelmed. Amor was absolutely fabulous...sending out very unique tapas, beautifully plated, and with flavors that intrigue the senses! Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu! Definitely recommend reservations in either the dining room or bar. I think they have an outdoor patio, so that could be epic on a warm day/evening!!

J B.

Yelp
The menu has changed. The 109 per couple is no longer in service. It's 74 per person. They also took off the seared scalloped and short rib from the menu. The scalloped is the reason I came to the restaurant to begin with. No worries, I was still excited to try the menu. I ordered the Italian flight to go with the tapas. It was great. The figs are probably the best dish hands down. The Ambiance is small but quaint. I would definitely come back again. Great place for wine and cheese boards.

Tim A.

Yelp
Good food. Good atmosphere. The bar tender made the night with great recommendations and really good old fashion. For a great first trip to Amor when you want to try several Tapas and a small entree just order one of the Tapas/Entree meals and split it if there's two of you. It's plenty to taste all the Tapas and still get entree. It's not about saving money (it does save a lot) but it's going to be a lot of food. Plenty. Take your time. Enjoy. Also first trip sign up for InKind app. Save $25 on first visit when you check out and pay bill on app (your date won't even know you used a discount). Even if you are not into wine try a wine flight. The Spanish wine flight is a good choice. Try something new. It's around $150 with tip for two but for a night out it's really good experience including drinks and dessert. The huckleberry cheesecake is a good option with a huckleberry whipped topping. If you are really hungry split the paella which is still a lot of food. You can add a second entree but you will need to go boxes. Steak and shrimp salad is also a good entree choice. Usually some type of live music depending on the night can add to the experience. Try it out. Some people complain about size of Tapas. The Tapas are small but that's the point. Bring great conversation and it's a great date night.

Cynthia F.

Yelp
Yay! A new place opened up in Tacoma and they have live music!!! The wine selection was decent...the wait staff was great and the ambiance fantastic. I ordered the duck confit and it was great! My only concern was the fruit flies interrupting my vibe.

Abby H.

Yelp
So glad this place is open!!! We went for a date night, and had the best time! It's a cute little place and has quite a few tables but I would make a reservation! We had some wine to start with (they pour you a little taste to make sure it's actually something you'd like) and then started with the butter board. It came with 3 big hunks of butter that were different types, and like 6 small pieces of bread. They offered more bread and we said yeah but were unaware that they charge $5 for more (crazy to me tbh). For the mains we had the short rib ( MUST HAVE ) and the carbonara (needed more flavor). Their tapas are good, we had the duck crepes and the pomme frites w/ their homemade ketchup! So tasty. Can't wait to come back again for next date night. But ORDER THE SHORT RIB!!!

Melly S.

Yelp
Meh. Food was okay. Not worth the price. Very small inside, tables were too close together. I'm not sure if he was an owner or what but some guy just picked our plates up and took them without introducing himself and asking if we were done. One of the cooks made us feel uncomfortable with the constant staring. Waitress was okay, took a while for us to get utensils and order and that's with it not being busy at all inside. Definitely not going back.

Kat W.

Yelp
It was just okay. Came here while on vacation. We ordered the all tapas tasting menu. Unfortunately not every tapas had two tastes (Fois Gras and the scallop). One waitress for the whole restaurant, meanwhile the host (whom I assume was the owner) was sitting at the bar bullshitting with a women all night while waitress struggled to get all plates and drinks out to everyone while clearing plates too. He should have at a minimum been serving drinks and clearing plates rather than drinking at the bar while chatting up with some woman. Also the tapas menu started off tasty, but kinda went down hill as we got more into it. The bread for most dishes were burnt and overpowered the dish. The Potato's Braves was tasty, the foraged mushrooms needed a starch such as a polenta cake of some sort. I do give high ratings to the waitress as she did her best with a full house and little help front FOH.

D'Arcy S.

Yelp
The kitchen/back of house at this place is very good. The food is delicious and this was my 3rd visit this year. But front of house had been indifferent each time. I made a reservation for 4, including two youth and arrived on time. The host (who I understand is the owner) seemed unprepared for us. We waited while he sorted out a party ahead of us, then he seemed initially flummoxed by our reservation. He seated our party at a table which he moved from the bar into the wine storage area behind the host stand. This was a surprise, as I had a reservation and expected the dining room, but we rolled. What became obvious was that we were in no one's section. It took a long time before a server set the table and brought us water. Then another stretch before we got menus. We ordered Sangria Blancos and a bottle of wine. The wine came before the sangria, and what arrived was Sangria Rosso. I pointed this out to the host and my impression was he was annoyed with me. He took the drinks and walked away. 10 minutes later (now with our first dishes arriving) he returned with the correct drinks. The food took a long time to come out and the server mentioned the kitchen was backed up. My son had ordered only a single dish and his didn't arrive until the rest of us were nearly done with our entire meal. Our primary server was friendly and efficient. She'd clearly had us added to her existing section and was doing her best. The food remains excellent. Great flavors, attractive execution. Our server clearly worked hard to adapt to having us thrown into her section and I tipped her properly for her good service. But this is my 3rd time and i wonder if the owner enjoys the hospitality trade? He offered no apology for the awkward table, the slow service or the mixed up drinks order. In any business, you can create empathy and understanding with basic communication. If you go, expect the food to be good. Maybe I'm just have unrealistic expectations about the rest of the experience.

Jenny C.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. Michelle was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu. We will be back for dinner. I had the classic Benedict and the rest of our party had the shakshuka. 100% wonderful. Come here immediately.

Kera N.

Yelp
What a romantic little restaurant! The menu has small plates as well as full sized entrees. I had the scallop and I wish there was more than one cause it was so good! I'd only had one of scallop dish that was that good and it was at Primo's grill. I also had the squid ink risotto, a good choice for anyone who enjoys seafood flavors. I sat at the bar as a singleton which is maybe a strange option for such a romantic and intimate setting, but it was a nice option. The owner was a pleasant and hospitable fella and the service was kind and responsive. I can see this place being really popular for special occasions like valentines and anniversaries.

Yelp
I splurged and got all the tapas. They did not disappoint! My favorite was the seared scallop. Cooked to perfection and just gorgeous. The ambiance is relaxing and romantic. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening exploring their extensive wine list and delicious cocktails. A girlfriend brought me with her to their brunch and it was so delicious that I had to come back and more thoroughly check out the rest of the menu. Ten out of ten experience! Can't wait to see the flamenco dancers and partake in one of their wine dinners.

Yelp
The ambiance strikes you first at this lovely restaurant. Purple floor to ceiling velvet curtains, an entire wall painted as a rose bud and beautiful artwork. The food is excellent and plentiful. The idea of tapas is great because it gives you options of several tastings. The mushroom risotto is just the best! The wine is a bit pricey but this is a special evening kind of place. Our server, Noel, happened to be the hostess, only server, buser and bartender for the entire restaurant the last night we were there. There is an indoor and outdoor space and bar seating so it was very difficult for her to keep everyone happy and make all the drinks. (especially on wine flight night) However, She was super friendly and managed to do it all with a smile. She makes a great "amor" martini with a floating flower. We have been here 4 times and will surely come back again. However, we think having 2 employees during a busy time would be a great asset to this gorgeous place.

Yelp
Amor Wine and Tapas is Tacoma's new best thing. Perfect for a date night, and the perfect venue for a group outing. Now serving brunch on the weekends from 9am to 1pm! Special events every Sunday with a "Wine & Tapas" event. Live music and Flamenco dancing performances from 7pm to 9pm the last Saturday of every month! Food is incredibly delicious with flavors from France, Spain, Italy, Morocco and more! This place is definitely going to blow up! Take it from one fellow Foodie to another. Give them a try! Entrees, Tapas, Wine, brunch, signature cocktails, and a unique and beautiful courtyard!

Yelp
We came here several times a while ago and loved the food, the wine and the live music so much. On our recent visit it's all changed for the worse (except the wine). Those first visits, service was fantastic with experienced wait staff. The tapas menu was enormous and delicious. The entree menu was small but the food was great. Now, our server took our orders by standing on the far side of the table. It was so loud, I couldn't hear her and there was a clear open place at the end of the table but she never bothered to move. She also never checked on us again after that first contact. I had to go to the bar to get another glass of wine. The food took forever to arrive and was a solid disappointment all around. Everything was booooring and either under or over seasoned... I had the steak, potatoes and salad. The salad was the best tasting thing on my plate. The potatoes were soft and had twice the salt they needed and the steak was properly cooked but lacked any salt whatsoever... and the pool of gravy it sat in screamed for flavor but went unheard. A little acid and salt would have helped the gravy so much... the tapas were no better. The patatas bravas was not at all crisp and was drowned in boring sauce and the meatballs were flavorful but cold (like straight out of the fridge cold- ew). Finally we tried the hockey pucks that they call "cheesecake" ugh like out of a vending machine bad... Given how expensive this meal was I expect better and have had better at many cheaper options in town. Do yourself a favor. Skip this place OR come for a glass of wine and the amazing guitarist but avoid the food altogether.

Yelp
Pretty frustrating to walk inside a restaurant and have multiple people look at you and NOT ONE person greets you or acknowledges the fact that you're standing in the doorway for FIVE MINUTES.

Yelp
We originally planned to go to another restaurant. However, we were approached by the hostess and because of her charming and friendly personality, we decided to check out the restaurant. This place opened up a couple months ago and we decided to take a seat at the bar. We ordered the mushroom risotto, which was creamy and full of flavor, it's definitely a must try! We also ordered the scallop which was served with a delicious sauce and crushed nuts. Not only was the food amazing but the experience and service was exceptional. I requested a custom made drink, and the bartender nailed it, thank you Noel! I thought the dishes were a bit overpriced, and the portions were a bit small, but in terms of flavor, it was spot on.

Yelp
I am all about supporting local businesses, especially new ones. However, the experience I had at Amor seems to have differed substantially from that of my fellow reviewers. When my husband and I arrived last Saturday evening for our dinner reservation, our host seemed annoyed with our presence. When he walked us over to our table and we asked to be moved one table down for more space, he seemed exasperated but agreed to have us move. An odd start to the meal. Speaking of the meal -- I had made us the reservation specifically based on menu items I had seen on Amor's website -- like the duck confit salad, risotto, fish tagine and other delicious-looking options. However the menus we were given only listed the tapas flight option, paella for two and then maybe three entree options total. I understand that dishes run out, but it would have been nice for the host or server to inform us of the significant changes to what was offered. Because of a food allergy and dietary preferences, we ended up having fewer options to choose from. Nonetheless, our server was wonderful and attentive. Drinks and wines were good, and the tapas were filling and tasty. I just wish I could have tried the items I went there for in the first place :) I would go back to try their brunch for sure, as downtown Tacoma really doesn't have many other brunch options to choose from. So this was a needed addition!

Yelp
Great service, delicious drinks and the steak entree was very satisfying and large enough for two people. I would recommend this place if you like above average, reasonably priced unique food.

Yelp
Outstanding food, wine, and service. Nice tapas selection. Recommend making reservations on Fri/Sat nights.
