Our first visit to Amore was for our 43 wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful evening in the elegant dining room. Our server, Sydney was knowledgable, attentive and sweet. The food was excellent. We appreciated that we were never rushed and had time to enjoy each part of the meal. Per other reviews we had the focaccia and it was delicious. For entree's we had the lasagna and mushroom ragu campanelle.Portion size was generous and the homemade pasta and sauces were delicious. the ragu had a unique chashew ricotta that was a great addition to the dish. They suprised us with a free dessert of our choice and an cute aniversary card, signed by the staff. Very sweet! The chocolate molten cake was outstanding and the perfect size to share. Even the fresh brewed decaf with dessert was good. We'll be back!

Our meal tonight was absolutely phenomenal! I ordered the lasagna, and I’ll be dreaming about it for days, it was that good! We finished with an affogato, and it was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. You also have to try the olive oil gelato, it’s truly amazing! The service was just as impressive, Amber was wonderful and made our experience even better. We’ll definitely be back!

My family and I had one of the best dining experiences at Amore! Our server, JT, was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and so knowledgeable about the menu. She guided us through each option with care. The chef even stopped by our table to greet us and make sure everything was perfect, which made the evening feel extra special. The appetizers were outstanding, and every entrée was fresh, flavorful, and delicious to the very last bite. We will definitely be back!

Amore is easily my newest favorite. The atmosphere is so beautiful. The intentionality behind everything is so evident. The staff was courteous and friendly and went above and beyond for each step while we were there. We went for our wedding anniversary last night. We had the calamari, chicken, and triangle penne with meatballs. Everything was wonderful. And top everything off, they gave us a dessert for our celebration with a card, signed by the staff. The tiramisu was incredible!! It is by far my favorite I’ve ever had. That’s saying a lot by the way, considering it’s my favorite dessert. Long story short, I cannot recommend this place enough. If you want to be met with intentionality, a beautiful, romantic atmosphere, and great food, go to Amore.

Came for date night and savor Fort Wayne. Had reservations. The dining room was grand and exquisite. High ceiling and big windows. It was night time 8pm and dead of winter. The color scheme was fabulous. The red, sliver and white and black works well together. Restroom was also beautiful and clean. We ordered two appetizers. Focaccia bread and calamari. The bread was nice crusty outside and soft with a new chew. It came with this olive oil, butter, chili flakes, some cheese and butter sauce. It paired well. The calamari was the best I had. It was soft and melts in your mouth. The breading was light and crispy. Best I ever had. Then we got one of each of the savor Fort Wayne menu. It started with this amazing shaved Brussels sprouts salad. My girlfriend loved it. It was her favorite dish of the night. It came with some bacon and almonds. It was perfect. She’s going to try to replicate it at home because it was that good. We also got this chopped salad. Pretty basic. I liked it. It was acidic which I needed to help cut thru all the food seller. Then the pasta came out. One was this bolognese. It was rich. We couldn’t finish it. Each bite made us sleepy. The other was nice. It was light, spicy and fresh. We finished that. The pasta was bouncy and had a nice bite with the perfect texture. Definitely could tell it was made from scratch there. Then finished with two gelato. One was chocolate. Pretty basic. Tasted good. And the other was unique. Vanilla, salt and olive oil. Complex , robust flavor profile. I enjoyed that the most. We also ordered two cocktails and they were fine, nothing special. The ambience was refined but not too quite. You couldn’t hear the table next to you but definitely could hear each other even in a whisper. The service was impeccable. Waitress did a phenomenal job. Her name was Izzy. Ask for her. She knew everything in the menu and how it’s cooked, prepared and their ingredients. She was well knowledgeable on where the restaurant got their meat, seafood, cheese and vegetables. She told us all the sources . It was spectacular knowing the ingredients were either locally sourced and or over night shipped . 10/10 highly recommend and would go again.

Food was mediocre at best and way overpriced for what they were serving. Reservation at 6:30. We were able to order quickly but food didn't come out until 7:25. $26 lasagna came with no sides. $44 6 oz steak came with luke warm spinach and 4 pieces of squash as a "vegetable medley" and took almost an hour to arrive at table. Made reservations days in advance and were seated next to this credenza where servers continiously walked behind me and slammed silverware and glasses around which pretty much ruined any ambiance they were trying to achieve. Finished the evening with olive oil gelato recommended by a friend who ordered it the week prior and had sent me a pic of their gelato that came with a lava cake. What we were presented with appeared and tasted like a $9.00 single scoop of salty ice cream without lava cake. When I inquired, I was told "oh thats a whole separate thing" no offer to maybe sell me one, just "thats a different thing" The only thing fast and efficient was how quickly the bill came after that Disappointing experience We're not in FT Wayne often. I'm sorry I didn't pick somewhere better to have dinner while in town.

From the food to the atmosphere to the service everything was great. Decided to try on a whim from out of town and fell in love. Hope to be back one day! The focaccia was so yummy with the aged cheese in the dip. Kyrsten was a great waitress! She sampled some drinks for us and was very attentive the whole time. Loved her recommendations! 10/10

1/14/25 The atmosphere and quality of service and food transport you from Fort Wayne to a sophisticated big city. Anjoleena planned our corporate cocktail hour and was a delight to work with. She went above and beyond what we expected to make a memorable event for our guest of honor. So so so impressed by this homerun establishment. Thomas was a professional and attentive server. Looking forward to coming back to enjoy the rest of the menu. Visit #2: 3/29/25 Dinner with family Did not disappoint. Amy, our server was perfect. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and very patient. She made our experience so enjoyable. All of the food was delicious. We ended up ordering additional foccacia as it was amazing. Bolognese subbed the housemade noodles with the imported Italian spaghetti for a mental trip back to Italy. The diners we were with have traveled to Italy several times and were floored by the authenticity and quality of their meals. The trout, flat iron steak, and filet were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. This will be a go-to when they're in town. I loved that the menu is so flexible, allowing guests to easily customize sides and pastas. The affagato and molten cake were presented beautifully. Celebrations at Amore Wil not disappoint. WELL DONE 👏

Yelp
Amore - gourmet Italian in a fine dining atmosphere Amore is not for everyone. It is expensive and the portion sizes are smaller relative to the entree cost. Slow paced-finer dining is not everyone's cup of tea. However, these are things that I enjoy and I chose to celebrate my birthday at Amore! Amore is located on the renovated Pearl Street. This has been an amazing transformation for those of us that remember the days when Pearl Street wasn't a family friendly destination. You may park free on the street or free in the large parking lot west of the restaurant. Making reservations is very easy via the website. I would definitely encourage you to make reservations if you want to eat during the prime dinner hours. The host and wait staff are professional and very friendly. The facility is beautifully decorated in a modern decor. The large bar and bottle rack is very attractive. You will find the seating to be very comfortable. The table linen, dishes and glassware complement the whole atmosphere. At least I feel all these things set the foundation for an excellent dining experience. Dining at Amore was about a two hour, relaxed and enjoyable experience. We started the night with the small focaccia bread. The bread comes cut into tall cubes that can be pulled apart and dipped in the Parmesan sauce. The crust is a bit tough with a soft inner breading. It has a classical Italian bread flavor. The olive oil dip has a thick bed of Parmesan at the bottom. Thick enough that you need to use the spoon to apply the delicious mixture to the bread. Definitely a must get!! The small size is perfect for two people. My wife ordered the mushroom ragú campanelle pasta dish. The pasta is made on site into a special "cone" shape. It is perfectly cooked to a firm but tender consistency. The mushrooms tasted very fresh and comprised a thinner sauce. The sauce had a bit of that mushroom-beef taste along with a moderate amount of Romano cheese taste. This dish was topped with an innovative cashew ricotta cheese dollop. The ricotta accented the noodles, mushrooms, Romano sauce nicely with a slight hint of cashews. Excellent dish! I went with the meat lasagna. The homemade noodles were very thin - perhaps 1/2 the thickness of a normal lasagna noodle. This made the dish lighter and moist. The noodles were perfectly cooked and layered with a bed of beef, pork and cheese. The mixture, while prominent, didn't over power the noodles. The lasagna was surrounded by a moat of white wine crème sauce. I was a little skeptical of this as it isn't usual. The white sauce was very smooth with a moderately thick consistency. It adds more moisture to the baked noodles and pulled out the meat and cheese mixture tastes. Another outstanding dish! Amore made the birthday dinner special with a complimentary personalized birthday card and chocolate lava cake. The card was individually signed by many members of the team - never seen that in my years of dinning out! The lava cake is not to be out done! The cake was firm on the outside but moist and warm on the inside. The cake had a rich chocolate taste. It came with a lava sauce baked inside and a container of extra sauce to pour over the top. That sauce had a more mild chocolate taste but still delicious. It also came with a small cup of olive oil gelato creme. That was light and thin such that it flowed over the inviting cake. The gelato provided an ice creme appeal without piling on more sugar or dairy. We definitely recommend the lava cake!! Overall, Amore met exceeded my birthday expectations. The food was creative and delicious! The team made us feel welcomed and served us professionally and well. The atmosphere helps make your two hour dining experience enjoyable.

Yelp
We had high hopes for Amore Italian Restaurant in Fort Wayne. The menu sounded incredible with so many dishes we were excited to try but once the food arrived, everything fell flat. Each dish was surprisingly bland and lacked any real flavor. The food was mediocre at best, and we even joked that Fazoli's had more taste. It was noon and we were the only customers in the restaurant for lunch which we now understand. On the positive side, our waitress was wonderful and the atmosphere is very nice. Unfortunately, good service and a pleasant dining room couldn't make up for the disappointing food.

Yelp
Before I say anything else, I want to say that the customer service was impeccable!! Our server could not have been better. She was a delight. Okay... on with the rest. When I saw the rating for this restaurant, I thought maybe people were just being a bit harsh. Unfortunately, they weren't. There were 6 of us at our table. All but 2 of us, got different dishes. The orders of lasagna, focaccia, and the Cacio e pepe were EXTREMELY small portions! The portions of lasagna were comically small! Well, it would have been funny if it wasn't for the price. I got the mushroom ragu campanelle. I was so excited about it. It was just fine. There isn't really a "sauce". So it was pretty dry. The person at our table who ordered the mussels, said they were the smallest mussels they have ever seen. None of us have a desire to go have. I would go as far as to say that I prefer Olive Garden over this place. Everything was just okay. The restaurant itself is BEAUTIFUL!!

Yelp
Our second trip, the food was amazing both trips and the service was much improved this trip! We are glad we went back. The space is beautifully done. The braised beef is so very tender, flavorful and delicious! I had it the first visit and my husband ordered it this time. I tried the mushroom ragu this trip and was not disappointed. Do not leave without the getting the affogato, the espresso over sweet gelato is being my favorite. I was too busy eating to take photos of the food. Our friends ordered the salmon and chicken and very much enjoyed their meals. Two of us had leftovers to take home.

Yelp
Food was great. Drinks were great. Service was very disappointing. Took forever for the food to come out. When it finally did, a side was wrong and an entree was wrong as well. Brought out entirely wrong dishes for a party of four. They comped us well, but for the type of restaurant, we really were hoping for better. Won't return unfortunately.

Yelp
Second visit to Amore last week, with friends who had never been there. Food was okay...a bit disappointing this time, so consistency may be a problem. Atmosphere is still beautiful. Staff and server were kind and friendly. Husband got the rigatoni bolognese pasta, which was $24 and come with no accompaniments. The portion on the plate was extremely small, only 8-12 little rigatonis. Nothing else. My flat iron steak was tough and portions were literally raw. Very unevenly grilled. Friend got the sea bass which she enjoyed but skin was not at all crispy and she had to remove it. Fish was paired with an odd chilled cucumber side, which she did not eat. We had bragged Amore up, but needless to say, it did not at all measure up. We'll likely try it again sometime to see if this second visit (on a Thursday evening) was a fluke.

Yelp
Ambiance 100%. This was the best part of the recent visit. The staff are nice but not really fine dining or a match to the surroundings. The waitress tried to clear plates before our party was finished with dinner and rushed us even though it was not busy on a Saturday evening or near closing time. A little too chatty. I chalk it up to experience and training. The food was just ok and not really on par with the price. Had an appetizer of pasta which was $22 and a tiny portion and nothing special, just noodles in some butter sauce. My dinner was not memorable for me or my party. Overall I'd wait until they elevate the menu to visit again. The space is beautiful but just not aligned with the service or the food.

Yelp
Amore was really good! I think the restaurant was beautiful and the service was really good! We enjoyed a handful of entrees. The bread was so tasty. It was crispy and soft at the same time. I thought the chicken vesuvio was very tasty.

Yelp
I in no way want to leave a bad review for a new restaurant as it might've just been a bad night. This place is beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful. We started the night with the garlic and oil fries and the focaccia bread. Both were good as the bread was super fresh and somehow fluffy on the inside yet crispy on the outside. The fries were good but the oil just ended up being hot honey so I didn't understand it being in the plate. As a creamed spinach junkie,I was most likely excited about the spinach fondue listed in the menu. Keep in mind that the steak comes with 2 sides but each side is listed for 10$. The level of disappointment I had when I got my plate I hadn't had in a while lol. The spinach was absolute trash. No cheese flavor and barely any cream smh. My steak was salty for some reason and didn't taste grilled at all. My wife got the rigatoni and because there were plenty of pics of it already I didn't take a pic but it wasn't pic worthy either..this 2yr age cheese was no where to be found and no lie there was like a fancy chef boyardee flavor to it. I did not want to sound mean and maybe we just went on a bad night. They need to expand their menu and because the bar is so beautiful.. add a burger to the menu just because. I'll give it another try but will never order the items we got again.

James I.

Yelp
We went last night for the first time which was unusual as we very rarely eat bread or pasta but we heard this was not your average Italian restaurant. We arrived early for our reservation and were promptly seated in the side room, which was lovely with high ceilings, beautiful decor, and a great view of the bar area. Rachel was our server. She helped us choose the best drinks and food for our tastes. I had their Manhattan and my wife had a Prosecco drink. She helped us select amongst the appetizers, tempted get several, we decided to go with the Focaccia and save some room for later. The drinks were perfect. We found the Focaccia to be the best of what bread should be - nice caramelized, brown crust, with a warm steaming center. Seasoned perfectly and matched well with the oil, salt, chili, and parmesan dip. Appetites were now ready for our main dishes - a side cut of lasagna and the Ribeye steak. Who knew we would be asked our preference for a side, corner, or center cut of lasagna? Rachel explained the hand made lasagna noodles crisp up and caramelize on the sides and her recommendation for one of these was spot on. The meat sauce was delicious and complemented by a delicious white wine cream sauce. This was easily the best lasagna we have eaten. The Ribeye was cooked perfectly and delicious. It was complemented well by the crispy fingerling potatoes and seared green beans. All of this was capped by a true highlight of the night recommended by our wonderful waitress, Rachel. She had explained the molten lava cake is made from scratch and required ~ 20 minutes to make. We were so pleased! This came out straight from the oven, hot and steaming, with molten chocolate poured in the soft center of the cake, accompanied by delicious ice cream. The service was incredible from start to finish. She listened well, educated us to what was offered, and helped us choose what we would love. Attentive, polite, not rushed, and joyful. It was truly delightful and we will be back soon!

Yelp
Celebrated our daughter's birthday here. Atmosphere is wonderful. Tables are fully set with glasses and silverware upon arrival. Our server, Dawn, was helpful navigating the wine list and the menu. We each started out with a different glass of wine. We ordered the Burrata cheese as an appetizer. Flavor was wonderful, but salad was not quite what we expected as far as portion was concerned. Also tried the caramelized carrot soup. Unusual and good flavor. Not something I would crave but a nice alternative to a salad for a vegetable. My husband ordered lasagna and enjoyed it very much. I split the Braised Beef and the Mushroom Ragu with my daughter. Both were very good, however, the vinegar flavor in the Ragu came through pretty strongly so if you're not a vinegar lover, you might not want to try this dish. Dessert included Tiramisu and Double Chocolate Gelato. Both desserts were delicious! We also enjoyed a glass of port from the dessert menu. A delicious and delightful dinner made perfect by the excellent service of Dawn! Look forward to returning in the future.

Yelp
A very elegant atmosphere inside. Definitely one the nicer, upscale restaurants of Fort Wayne. Megan our server was very friendly and attentive. Food was very good, portion sizes are small for price though.

Yelp
A Disastrous Dining Experience from Start to Finish I want to preface this by saying I've spent 21 years dining in top restaurants across New York, Los Angeles, and beyond. I judge restaurants based on their location and price point, not by Michelin-star standards. When I saw Amore's menu and pricing, I was eager to try it. Unfortunately, from service to food, the experience was appalling. From the start, the setup made no sense--menus were leaned against the table on the banquette, meaning they fell to the floor as soon as we sat down. Who wants to start dinner by reaching under the table or stretching across a long banquette just to grab a menu? This bizarre design choice set the tone for an afternoon of frustration. Service was chaotic. Appetizers arrived midway through our entrées. Servers awkwardly reached over banquettes to serve food, asked guests to hand plates to each other, and generally lacked professionalism. Worse, we witnessed restaurant staff eating fries over the kitchen expo pass--unsanitary and a major red flag. Every dish disappointed. The burrata and beet salad was flavorless. The meatballs (which oddly resembled falafel) were dry, with no fat content. The sauce was equally bland. The hanger steak was completely inedible--tough, low-quality, and lacking the crust and tenderness that should define the cut. It tasted like a food-service product rather than something prepared with care. The shoestring fries were cold and hard on every entrée. The chicken sandwich was unevenly cooked, with some pieces undercooked. Despite the long wait, everything tasted as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. Upon arrival, I asked the hostess to take my coat since we were a party of five at a banquette. I assumed it would be stored properly. Instead, when I went to retrieve my wallet from what I thought was a coat check, I found my coat turned inside out and balled up on an unattended banquette at the front of the restaurant. It had clearly been left there the entire time. Completely unacceptable. Did I expect Amore to be Osteria Mozza or Osteria Francescana in Modena, rivaling the great Italian restaurants of the world? No, absolutely not. But I did expect a well-executed dining experience. Instead, I got one of the worst meals I've ever had. The biggest red flag? On a Saturday during prime lunch hours (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM), only one other table was occupied. That says everything. Save your money. Amore makes Catablu or Black Canyon (both local recommendations I quite like) feel like Eleven Madison Park or Alinea. (Attaching a picture of the "coat check" so you can see how wonderful the service truly is at Amore.)

Yelp
This place is such a gem!! What stood out most was how light everything felt--not overly oily like similar dishes often are. We even had room for dessert after having both appetizers and entrees! The fries and focaccia bread were hands down some of the best apps I've had in a long time! We went during the second week it opened and had NO issues. During our visit, Living Local was recording, so we were seated in the private room, which was a nice experience. This space is great for private events, larger groups, business dinners, etc. The staff were so attentive!

Yelp
Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by the hostess. The restaurant was pretty open and we had reservations made. They brought us to our table and the interior design was very beautiful. Everything was very clean. Our server was very friendly and attentive. My friend and his fiancé live in Fort Wayne and had not yet tried Amore. So it was the first time for all of us. I ordered a Caesar salad with the spring mix and I loved it. The dressing was very fresh tasting and did have a strong anchovy taste, but I liked it. My friend's fiancé liked it but my friend did not care for the taste of the dressing. I ordered the triangle penne with the angry sauce and it was good but the sauce was not spicy. The triangle penne is made in house, which is nice. My friend ordered the same and also thought it was not spicy. His fiancé ordered the pepper and cheese pasta and she thought it was very bland- which tends to be the verdict with this dishes. The manager had walked past our table a number of times and had given us some looks but never bothered to stop and ask how the food or service was. We all agreed that we probably wouldn't return back.

Yelp
Excited to try a new Italian restaurant but it was disappointing. It was a beautiful space and friendly staff, but the food was not impressive. Started with burrata and beets. Very small burrata and the beets were hard, and the presentation plain. The pasta was Cacio and pepper, usually a favorite of mine- it was bland. I needed to add pepper to a dish that's main seasoning was pepper! Next we ordered salmon, requesting medium doneness, it was overcooked and dry- the broccolini was hard and even the baked potato wasn't good. The worst was the creamed spinach side. It was very bitter. We mentioned it to our server who sent over the manager, she checked with the kitchen and they said they were out of spinach and subbed arugula! Desssert was tiramisu and it was wonderful!! Pricing was average and servers were pleasant but the orders took a long time.

Elliot R.

Yelp
The best of the food is laughably mediocre. The worst of it is just gross. As authentic as Olive Garden but not as good and double the price. Cocktails were really good and the service was great. The mood is sterile. It's not quaint enough to be charming and it's not opulent enough to be "fancy". If they got a good chef to design a better menu, I bet that would make a huge difference.

Douglas C.

Yelp
Date nite last Saturday! Fab service and late lunch! The bread so delicious! The cheese and pepper spaghetti with added meatballs superb. Kidds shared sandwiches while wife had the triangle pasta. Dawn was so customer focused and efficient! A wonderful time by all!

Sandy V.

Yelp
Literally found this restaurant by chance as we left an event at Birdies. Hungry, we decided to take a chance on a late night dinner. Boy were we glad we did! From the welcome we received an hour before scheduled closing time on a Wednesday, to the quick and delightful service, it just kept getting better and better. Husband and I love Italy and all thing Italian, so we were very pleased to find the menu not your typical Americanized version of Italian cuisine. The food was clean, well prepared and plentiful. I was not terribly hungry so I went for the brussel sprout salad with chicken added. I paired it with a glass of the Nebiolo as recommended by our waitress. Hubby had his favorite - braised beef - he was hooked. The amazing pistatio gelato affogato was the best way to top off the dinner. Do not be afraid of the olive oil! So delicious. On top of the great service and food, this is a beautiful restaurant. It rivals any upscale restaurant in Los Angese, San Francisco, New York, etc. Well done to those who designed and built the space. We will be back.

John S.

Yelp
Atmosphere was amazing but service was extremely slow and the restaurant was only half full. Waited almost 30 minutes to get our drinks. Food was sub-par; will not be back
google avatar

Kurt H.

Yelp
Very average Itilian food, great locations and ambience but lacked it real flavor. Wine selections was average.

Stacey C.

Yelp
Booked a reservation a week out. Arrived on time to a flustered hostess, waited a bit and then escorted to Siberia (the furthest point south in the place). I should have spoken up but I was taken by surprise - no words! Service was fine, attentive. Izzie the wine deliverer was the best-twists off unite! Meatball app was tasty, salad arrived with entree and at this point we were over it. Ravioli and Bolognese were good at best. We shared our thoughts with the manager, she comped our meatballs...I'll stick with Tolon and Brava's!. Not worth the visit.

Edward H.

Yelp
The pasta here was absolutely amazing. Recommend the chocolate molten cake for dessert! Everything was top notch including our waitress JT. Highly recommend Amore'!

Yelp
Was looking forward to a great eve with my family. But the service was disappointing . Food was okay but not fantastic. Meatballs were charred and tasted burnt. Salads were not easy to eat because it was just romaine lettuce not cut.

Yelp
Amore would be a hit in NYC or LA- and it's flat-out amazing to have it in Fort Wayne! The food is fantastic, and the service is even better. We've been there several times now, and each time the experience has been terrific. Highest rating -- and I've been a "road warrior" for years, with the privilege of dining in top restaurants nationwide. We LOVE Amore!

Dave D.

Yelp
Ate dinner here with a party of 6 on Saturday, the dining experience was terrible. First of all the restaurant is beautiful but the claim that it is Italian inspired is a reach. I am 100% Italian and the restaurant is anything but Italian Inspired.....they charge for bread! That is a sin in itself. Their big claim to fame is homemade focaccia bread which took them 45 minutes to bring to the table. Every plate that was served was terrible, 2 salmon overcooked , a skirt steak with capers on it, a filet overcooked and pasta that was like paste in a paste sauce that was bitter. The bill was over $ 400. It took over 2 hours to be served and it was not busy. All of the food mentioned was flavorless. And all of us that are professionals will not be back.

Robin C.

Yelp
Our first time visiting Amore. Easy parking. Beautiful dining room. Attentive staff. Our server was Nate, he was very attentive, knew the menu well and easily made recommendations based upon his personal experience. We were there during the dinner hour on a Tuesday night, only 5-6 parties dined during our 2 hour visit. With an empty restaurant, a party of 4 was seated right next to us. They moved themselves a few minutes later. Our food was good. Portions were good but not amazing. We ordered sorbet and gelato, both were delicious, but they made them as we waited which felt like it took forever. To compensate for the wait, they gave us both at no charge. We felt the cost exceeded the experience.

Tom S.

Yelp
great, unique food, and cocktails! service was great too. Upper scale atmosphere, at middle of the road prices.

Curt G.

Yelp
Huge disapointment! Atmosphere is good, seated quickly in a mostly empty resturant for a 6pm Friday evening meal with 4 of our friends. Drinks were ordered service staff seemed to be mostly on it. Apetizers ordered we had the calamari which was the only thing good through the whole meal. I ordered the filet with grilled shrimp and a baked potatoe and a ceasar salad. Salad had so much anchovy on it it was inedible. Steak showes up and it was not a filet as it had a grissel line through the middle of it and was over cooked not medium but a tough well done beef jerky my potatoe (as was all served to the table) was crunchy in the middle and inedible. My shrimp never showed up, I mentioned it to service staff but they looked lost at this point. Wifes sea bass looked like a tilapia filet it was horrible with dryed out texture and no flavour. Deserts were ordered and served and they were also a swing and a miss. The resturant is clearly not doing well and needs a complete resturant rescue moment or it will be closed before the new year...

Yelp
Too expensive. Food good, ambiance nice, but the whole experience was not worth it. Not sure needs a luxury restaurant like Amore.

Yelp
We had reservations for a party of 7 adults to celebrate my son's wedding. They crammed us in a 6-person booth, which absolutely did not work. They wouldn't re-seat us at an appropriately sized table. They knew we weren't comfortable and the situation was ridiculous, but refused to fix their mistake. Unforgivable.

Yelp
Food is wonderful but the service is even better. The setting is beautiful. Great menu

Yelp
Stopped for lunch. Amazing atmosphere. The place is absolutely beautiful. Had the Rigatoni Bolognese and a taste of the Cheese + Pepper Pasta. Both were great with wonderful flavors. Much higher priced than a similar meal in Italy but a much higher quality than nearly all other Italian restaurants in town.

Yelp
Tried this restaurant on a whim for our anniversary and it was spectacular! There was live music that made a lovely ambiance without being too intrusive, and the food was all amazing. If we lived closer, we'd definitely come back more often!

Yelp
Amore please do better, we want you to succeed! The decor is gorgeous. The food was slow to the table and mediocre at best. The staff that we experienced did not lend to a fine dining experience - unfriendly, aloof and poor restaurant etiquette on several levels. Overall experience was pricey and very underwhelming. You have so much potential and are needed in our community - so step it up!

Yelp
The restaurant is very nice inside. That's where the good stuff ends. We went in for a late lunch. There were 4 other other customers in the whole place and they saw fit to set us right next to 2 of them. We were practically rubbing elbows. Awkward for them and us. My wife ordered iced tea that our extremely unfriendly and snobbish waitress practically dropped on the table, that was warm, with no ice. After 10 - 15 minutes without seeing her again, my wife went to the bar and asked for a glass of ice to put in her tea and our luke-warm waters. She also ordered cake (that looked like it came out of a vending machine), and coffee (which was never refilled). I got the $26 small plate of undercooked rigatoni with mediocre "meat" sauce (very little meat and overly salted), that apparently was all my money paid for (no salad, bread, breadsticks....). I ordered hot tea, which wasn't bad.... The lunch amounted to about $60. We've been out to lunch several times, to different places since our visit, where we got much more and better food, and alot better service for the same or less money. We eat out frequently and like to try new places whenever possible. Ft Wayne has a lot of good restaurants to choose from, but this isn't one of them. We won't be back.

Yelp
Great addition to Fort Wayne. Pasta was cooked the way it should be. Great atmosphere and great bar.

Yelp
Went with my book club last night. We ordered an array and shared most of the dishes: meatballs paired with the focaccia is a must try (!!!), loved the Brussels sprouts salad, four of us had the chicken and the rest the angry triangle pasta and also ordered Cacio e Pepe to share with the group. Everything was fabulous! Adrian was our waiter and did an excellent job of highlighting the menu. I think the negative reviews reflect the initial start up of this place. I love cooking and food and last night was one of the best meals I've had. It was so fun to go with girlfriends and try so many dishes. Excellent wine and drink recommendations. We got a couple of the olive oil with salt gelatos at the end and that was also a win! Definitely will return. Well done, Amore!

Yelp
Staff would not serve my 74 year old wife a cocktail because she didn't have an id. We were told that it is State law that everyone needs to be carded. This was told to us by the waitress and manager. That is not true. "Indiana law requires permittees and their employees to check identification of any person under the age of 40 when conducting carryout sales. While there is no similar ID requirement law for on-premise consumption, the Excise Police encourage requiring identification from anyone appearing under 26 years of age when making sales for on-premise consumption"

Yelp
Amoré is an excellent restaurant from top to bottom. Interior and ambience are just what you'd want for the setting. Food is amazing, kitchen staff is innovative, and the servers have all been very professional. Amber has been a favorite of ours every time we go with her food/menu knowledge and top notch service.

Yelp
Everything was phenomenal! Our server Adreyn was great! He was super knowledgeable on the menu and made great recommendations. The food was also great, I would recommend the meatball appetizers to everyone! Drinks were amazing and it was no problem to modify them for specific requests. Overall great experience and am looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
Disappointing at best! Plenty of staff on duty. Lots of standing around By workers that appeared to be doing nothing. Menus left on table after ordering. Drink glasses not picked up. Water glasses unfilled. Had to ask for silverware between the different courses. Extremely long time to order. Don't go if you are in a hurry. No background music. Bartender broke a bottle of wine and all you could hear was " what the ....!" Complaints regarding lack of training! My food was cold when served.

Yelp
Underwhelming all around disappointing. Limited and weak menu, food was average. Much better places to dine in Fort Wayne.

Yelp
We have been to Amore twice. Seating in the bar both times. First time at a table in the bar. Service was terrible! Took forever to get drinks and at least an hour and a half to get food with no apologies. The restaurant was not even full the whole time we were there. The food was good, but server/service was surprisingly bad! The second time we went there, I called ahead and asked about seating in the bar. I was told it was open seating anywhere, first come first serve. When our table of four arrived, the restaurant was practically empty and were told they don't take "walk-ins", but the bar rail was available, but not tables in the bar. I told the hostess I had talked to reservations a few days before and was told the whole bar was first come first serve. She said no it was not. We then sat at the bar rail and decided only to have a drink. We were there about an hour. The bartender never asked if we wanted another drink or if we wanted to order anything. When we left the restaurant around 6:30, the restaurant was maybe 1/4 full, servers just standing around . The bar tables were also empty, some never had any customers the whole time we were there! Apparently, the restaurant would rather stay empty, than take a walk-in! Amore has potential, but it isn't operating like a top notch restaurant! Staff needs serious training on good customer service. We were willing to give it a pass the first time, but not the second time. Needless to say, it will be a while before we return!

Yelp
everything is great, however the attempt to charge for cubed ice in drinks meant to be serve with cubed ice is comical. should've been a 5 star.
