Amore Taste of Chicago brings Chicago deep dish pizza to Henderson | Eater Vegas

"Launched in 2008 close to the intersection of Durango Drive and Flamingo Road, Amore Taste of Chicago’s interior design is fanatically devoted to celebrating Chicago sports teams and it serves Italian food, baby back ribs, and the self-described "best Chicago style pizza in town." The owners are expanding into a second location by taking over a closed TGI Fridays at 4330 E. Sunset Road and plan to add 2,700 square feet of dining area to the existing 6,265-square-foot restaurant; current plans keep the central bar, though it is unknown if the restaurant intends to add gaming in the future. Specialties include deep dish or stuffed pizzas, baked calms, Italian beef sandwiches, chicken parmigiana, and cannoli for dessert." - Bradley Martin

Amazing P.

Google
It wasn't as good as we were told. Stuffed mushrooms were ok, egg plant parm was hard.... I enjoyed my Chicago dogs but the hot dogs inside were tiny. A little shocking. Any the service was friendly and attentive. We might go back and try something else, like the pizza and see if thats better. Oh and our bill was $60, seemed a bit steep but I get it. And we did not get alcohol

Google
Nice taste of Chicago! Wanted the personal deep dish pizza but the oven was being maintenanced. The Chicago dogs were just as I remembered from Michigan Ave. Delicious! A must try of you like "the taste of Chicago"!

Google
Pizza was a little thin and bland compared to an actual Chicago deep dish but it was edible. The service was awesome. I’ll have to Try more items here for sure.

Was craving pizza so we decided to try this place out, has good reviews so of course I expected it to be Amazing, we were so WRONG. We started with mozzarella which we were told was all homemade and they were not the best, my husband got a Chicago dog and mini beef sandwich and let’s just say we’ve had way better at fast food stands. To top off this HORRIBLE food experience my pizza was a thick dough with a little bit of sauce some cheese pepperoni and jalapeños it was so sad, 711 pizza is better any pizza would have been better. I had such high hopes and I can honestly say I was so DISAPPOINTED! Never Again! The food is Mediocre at Best. I don’t recommend this place at all, not sure how they receive good reviews but take it from me it’s Horrible, save your money and go somewhere else. If I could give the food negative stars I would.

Google
Great service, super friendly, good food , this was our first time here, I am not big in pasta but did not disappoint. The place is really clean and pleasant atmosphere , portions are huge and prices are reasonable for the amounts of food, give it a try. I also got the 3 sangria drinks for $12 and the cannoli 😋 they have gelato but I have zero room for it, next time.

Google
Great service, great value and great portions! Love the daily deals and portions are huge that you leave extremely full.

We have heard both sides of people that love Amore and people that weren’t fans but more likes than not so being pizza enthusiasts and on National Deep Dish Pizza Day, we decided to give it a go and we are happy we did. We called in the order for pick up and Alex who took our order was pleasant and friendly who also repeated our order when we were done ordering. For starters we had stuffed mushrooms that were super flavorful and well cooked seasoned with a butter garlic sauce that was really tasty and tater tots that were half overcooked and half much lighter in color than the rest hence the 4 star rating on the food (see picture). For pizzas we did a large deep dish 1/2 Pepperoni 1/2 Sausage, green peppers and fresh tomatoes (this takes 45 minutes to cook so be prepared, but so worth it!) and a thin crust 1/2 Pepperoni 1/2 Extra Cheese. Both pizzas were flavorful and different in flavor as far as the crust goes. Deep dish was fluffy and flaky and thin crust was lite and perfect. The only other issue I had was I ordered a side of anchovies which they forgot but when I called I spoke with Emily and they handle it well. Overall great pizza and food aside the tots lol but great service, nice ambiance and definitely a spot we will frequent. Can’t wait to dine in and try other dishes!!!

Google
When you miss Chicago, this is the place to come. Had a serious craving for a Portillos hotdog and found super deals on the famous dog loaded with tomato, sport peppers, onions and very green relish on a poppyseed bun, as well as the equally famous Italian beef sandwich. Al's beef of Chicago has closed but at least: here's the beef! Amore Taste of Chicago offers a great deal "pick any 2" of the dogs, beef, meatball, polish or sausage sandwiches. The formerly house cut french fries are no longer. Now it's crinkle cut fries, which is not quite as great as untampered fresh cut fries.

Yelp
I lived in Chicago for 70 years and retired to Vegas in June. This is authentic Chicago-style pizza, certified by an authentic Chicago native. Michael Fisher

Yelp
So glad we finally had time to stop by! Between hubby and I we shared a Chicago dog, Italian beef slider, and meatball sub. They were all delicious but the beef sandwich was our favorite. The prices are reasonable and the space is big. Lots of parking around, too. Our service was great and friendly. We will visit again.

Yelp
The best place for authentic Chicago style pies! Everyone is friendly and the service is outstanding? If you craving a deep dish, pizza, or regular or thin crust, this place is amazing! My girlfriend has celiacs and they have an amazing gluten free pizza with cauliflower crust that she loves! It's a perfect place for large groups and birthday parties. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Yelp
The food -- Just Meh The service was amazing. Friendly, prompt, and engaging. If I was rating just the service it would be 5 stars. I ordered the thin pizza and my Husband ordered a deep dish. He loved the deep dish and I wasn't a fan of my order. We also ordered cannolis and they were decent. Give it a try since we all have different taste buds. I really enjoy Metro Pizza and Joes of NY. Just to give you an idea

Yelp
Really impressed with the authentic Chicago-style pizza here. The restaurant is large, with lots of TVs and a comfortable atmosphere. Service was great and there's honestly nothing to complain about. It's a bit pricey, but you're getting a lot more food and noticeably better quality than any fast-food pizza joint.

Yelp
I have only tried Amore Taste of Chicago from another location. This one though is located on East Sunset. My partner and I ordered a large 14" stuffed pizza with pepperoni, basil, pineapple and jalapeños. Their stuffed pizza has extra cheese sandwiched between two layers of dough and it comes topped with homemade chunky tomato sauce. The pizza tastes just as amazing as I remember it. The crust was perfectly baked where it had a buttery crisp on the outside, but soft on the inside. Toppings were generous and pepperoni was thick with crispy edges. The sauce was delicious, and honestly I would have loved even more of it that is how good it is. My favorite part was the ooey gooey melted cheese. This pizza was very satisfying and full of flavor. They do offer traditional deep dish, but I just love their stuffed pizza. My belly is happy and full.

Yelp
That's Amore! I've never been to Chicago myself (with the exception of a few layovers) and have never tried their famous deep dish pizza, so I was looking forward to trying out this place! Originally I wanted to dine in, but Kyle wanted to do takeout instead. When we placed our order online, where we ordered their 12" deep dish pizza topped with pepperoni and mushrooms, we were notified that it usually takes about 45 minutes to cook, plus we ordered a side of garlic bread to go along with it. I don't live too far away from this place, so I didn't have to worry about running late to pick it up! When we picked it up, the box had quite a bit of weight to it compared to other pizza boxes I've held before. And this here was probably one of the best deep dish pizzas I've ever had, as someone who has never really eaten this type of pizza before. The garlic bread was pretty good too, even though they only gave us two pieces. I was expecting them to give us more than that. This place was so good that I want to come back here again. But next time I want to dine in.

Yelp
My first time to Amore. Seen many commercials for it on tv. All around a nice place. Good staff. Laid back atmosphere. I only got chicken wings and I was a bit disappointed. My explanation. The chicken wing has three sections. The tip. The drumstick. The "flat" My order was 10 wings. If all things are equal, then it should have been 5 Drumsticks and 5 Flats. The tips are not used. Instead it was 3 flats and 7 drum sticks. It's a thing with me. I've done bucket orders from other establishments and the drumstick to flat ratio was horrible. I'll come back again and get pizza. Get the ratio down and they'll get a better rating.

Sharzad M.

Yelp
Went there on Super Bowl day, and they were offering some great deals like "buy ribs, get a free beer" and "buy a large pizza, get free wings". The promotions were a nice touch, and our server was friendly and attentive. We tried the BBQ ribs this time and also got the bacon cheeseburger pizza, which is our usual. While both were tasty, I have to say their pizza really stands out. I've tried their lobster ravioli before, and it didn't quite impress me, but the stuffed pizza and thin crust bacon cheeseburger are definitely my go-to picks here. Highly recommend checking those out if you're in the mood for something delicious!

Yelp
My goodness I've eaten so much of their food in such a brief span of time that one might assume I have accumulated enough points for a free trip around the world! In all seriousness, I've kept coming back here because it's such tasty goodness. The thin crust pizza is one of the most quality pizzas i have had in awhile. My second fave is the Baked penne (Garlic, olive oil---yum). They may be pricey to some, but to me it's worth it, until you start spending as much as i have here ha! I usually don't eat in so i cannot speak to the service, BUT it looks like they have all the sports on like hockey and its a spacious and inviting dining room. Try the food, tell 'em i sent ya, they should know who i am by now right?! I have more to try off of their menu, no doubt it's some quality grub

Yelp
We have been enjoying food at this restaurant since 2019. The food is always delicious whether you eat at the restaurant or take out. Amore TOC never fails to amaze the fussiest eater. Our favorite is of course building our own pizza, Mediterranean salad that comes with a delicious creamy Italian dressing, cheesecake and for the first time tried their cannoli. Loved every bite. The service is always prompt and the staff is pleasant. We never think twice about the fact that we drive a whole hour round trip to enjoy the food at this restaurant.

Yelp
This is a little bit off the strip but that's not a bad thing. The prices are very reasonable. The service was prompt and friendly. They have a deal on Mondays where you get 8 wings with a large pizza purchase. The wings were huge and very good. The stuffed pizza was great. I didn't care for the pepperoni but, it was very good. Their sauce is somewhat bland but, overall, it's a nice break from the overpriced places in the strip. The friendly service was appreciated too.

Yelp
We were in the mood for a deep dish pizza and Amore was near by. The menu looked promising as there were several options to choose from. I will say this place is fairly expensive we ordered 3 things for $45. The deep dish pizza was very bland. There was no flavor whatsoever. We had to add seasoning and hot honey to taste any flavor. The pizza did hold up well and was a true Chicago deep dish. I'd give the taste a 4/10. The fried zucchini also had 0 taste. 0/10. The garlic bread was like a sub bun with garlic and butter on top. 4/10. The pizza take a while to bake so if you order a deep dish be prepared to wait. Overall I would not return to try anything else.

Yelp
The food at this place is incredible. The service was spot on. The lasagna and ravioli were awesome. They bake their bread fresh everyday. Highly recommended

Yelp
The pizza was so small for the price range . The mozzarella were not hot. The calamari was chewy, the french fries were dry and soggy. The onion rings were OK. The meatball sandwich was OK. The hotdog taste like it was not cooked at all. I was not happy nor satisfied with my purchase. Overall, this place is mediocre, will not be coming back.

Ricky H.

Yelp
Ordered the rigatoni, it was like chewing gum so they replaced it with spaghetti it was ok. Two of our party are still waiting for their small thin pizza. The prices are way too expensive for the quality of the food.

Yelp
Love walking into the place and seeing photos, memorabilia, and sports games playing. First time dining in at this location. It's large in size. Server came quickly to take drink order. We saw lots of new items on the menu and wanted to try the beef roll ups. Server came back letting us know they didn't have any available, so that was disappointing. We ordered a small sausage pizza, Italian beef, and hot dogs. Pizza came out a little greasier than I'd like, but was hot and the sausage wasn't in huge chunks. Italian beef was sliced thin and the gardinaira wasn't too hot/spicy. Love the crinkle cut French fries, which they had a cheese sauce for dipping the fries (and the beef). Being from Chicago, this is one of the closer spots that hits home.

Yelp
Awesome FOOD, STAFF--Mina and Trivia on Weds!!! Yummmmm & Funnnn Great Ribs, eggplant Parmesan sandwich, the gelato is the best... And so was the Oreo cheesecake
google avatar

Yelp
The service is great and all ithe food is great, except they took away the coleslaw from the rack of ribs order. It's just not the same without the coleslaw! BRING BACK THE COLESLAW!

Lori S.

Yelp
I walked in to order 3 pizzas and the place was so adorable with Chicago sports images around the entire place near the ceiling. Clean place! The server Maddy took my order for delivery and that went great. Delivery went smooth and 7 people that ate the pizzas all raved about how good they were. I will be getting more in the future.

Yelp
Decided to stop by here for dinner, this is my boyfriend's favorite Italian place to eat at and absolutely LOVES their chicken parmigiana and their thin crust cheese pizza with pepperoni(he's from Oklahoma and raves about the delicious food to his friends)...we used to get pizza from a low cost pizza place but, we ordered from there one day and we both got very sick and promised then we will NEVER eat there again, I went on the hunt for a place that offered thin crust and found this place and we've never went back(to that low cost pizza chain)...even though this place is more (than a cheap pizza place under $10) Amore Taste of Chicago is absolutely worth the price!! The servers are always real sweethearts here and I appreciate them being so nice and putting up with my sometimes difficult boyfriend (his jokes are not always perceived as funny lol) We are always treated very well, no matter if it's a to go order or a sit down order and that's much appreciate, the table next to us had a delicious looking big ass salad that I may try next time (I think it was for the 4 to share) but, with the hotter months ahead it will be perfect. If you're looking for great Italian food then this is definitely your place (not so much for ribs...see my previous review lol) you won't be disappointed!!!

Yelp
NEVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE AND AFTER LIFE!!!! Deep dish was a joke! Barely any sauce! The cheese that melts on the side was stuck to the paper. Horrible horrible HORRIBLE!!!!!

Yelp
We have been to the other location on Durango, but we like this location much better. The staff is more attentive, you get a better vibe when you're here. The Sangria was very tasty. The Pizza was very filling, very good cheese pull, homemade sausage has great flavor, the pepperoni may not be handmade, but we appreciate the size and flavor. The only downfall is the crust, it is very flaky, but it needs to be more buttery, then it would be perfect.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Italian beef was perfect. I'm a traditionalist, so no cheese. Just beef with giardinera on the side. Ordered a thin pizza to go, again just a traditional sausage. No complaints here. They keep it very real. If you did not know you were in Vegas, you could easily think you were in the Chicago area.

Yelp
i dont know what happened, but in the year and a half since weve been in the place has gone down. our favorite server girls are GONE, your revamped menu and happy hour SUCKS.. your BS surcharge for all credit cars transactions AWFUL...did new management take over????? and your old menus were more authentic looking. down and out Amores !!!! my husband likes you guys but I on the other hand can't stand this place

Yelp
Been dining at Amore for a decade, originally on the West side, but now live near the Henderson location. I've never been disappointed with the food (pizzas are on point) however, the service has always been poor, it's a major deterrent. Each time we visit I *hope* they've improved, doubt that's going to happen. Today is my birthday and I was craving fettuccine Alfredo. Five of us arrived about 6pm. My two friends had never eaten here. The restaurant was about 1/2 capacity, a football game was just ending. We were given complimentary bruschetta, which was a nice gesture. One waitress arrived and took our drink order. Another came and we ordered fried mozzarella & zucchini + 2 sides of ranch. Had to ask about our cocktails because it had been a while since we ordered, she said she'd go ask. We got the "Capone" their version of an Old Fashioned (my go-to drink). Too much simple syrup and maraschinos, it was bright red, excessively sweet/syrupy. Had to let the ice cubes melt to water down, didn't help. Cocktails have never been their strong suit, but Old Fashioneds are a bar staple... I don't think I've ever had a worse Old Fashioned. Our appetizers arrived with no ranch dressing. We asked the gal who delivered and she said she'd be right back. Never came back. Our apps were getting cold. Finally got another waitress and asked, she said she'd grab some, but didn't. Finally, another gal dropped some off. We wondered if they were out and had to make more. For dinner, my husband, daughter and I ordered the white pizza with bacon, and chicken Alfredo to share. These are our favorite menu items, and the main reason I chose this as the place for my birthday. My friends ordered shrimp scampi and sausage rigatoni. Our meal arrived but they brought out chicken piccata with a side of Fettuccine Alfredo instead of Fettuccine Alfredo entree. I said no one had ordered chicken piccata, we'd ordered Fettuccine Alfredo, so they took it back. Another lady came over to confirm that we indeed wanted Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken... My friend hated his shrimp scampi. Said it tasted like bland oily noodles, couldn't taste any lemon. He added quite a bit of pepper to improve the flavor but in the end, only ate the 5 shrimp which he said were also under-seasoned. He didn't bother with a to-go box for the noodles. ($22) My other friend was not impressed with her rigatoni. She ate a few bites but said the flavor seemed off and not as the menu described. She took the rest to-go but $100 bucks says she throws it in the trash. ($20) Our pizza was great, although there was hardly any bacon, which was a $2 up charge, and the artichokes were almost nonexistent, which is sad because it's our favorite pizza topping and all previous times we've gotten it there's been a generous amount. Our chicken Alfredo finally arrived but there was a small portion of fettuccine noodles & a ton of Alfredo sauce. For around $25, I'd expect plenty of noodles, this appeared to be a the same amount of noodles as the side portion (that arrived with the chicken piccata we *didn't* order) as opposed to the entree size as we've received in the past. I wonder if they just dumped the piccata's fettuccine side dish onto a plate and added more sauce + chicken... In the meantime, we realized my hub's plate had been cleared so he had nothing to place his pizza or pasta on. He also had no silverware. Had to ask for these. I ordered a "regular" Old Fashioned and was informed the "Capone" is the only Old Fashioned they serve. I asked for one without sooo much simple syrup and maraschino juice. She came back to say they were out of bitters and weren't able to make one at all. So I ordered a Tito's and soda, she asked if Pepsi was okay(?) I explained that soda meant Club Soda - no judgement, but found it odd for a waiter not to be familiar with vodka-soda. I planned to order an espresso martini for "dessert" but given the time it took to get drinks & the quality of my "Capone" I decided against it. I did get a sweet little birthday serenade from the gals who waited on us and vanilla ice cream, but, no spoons. We had to of ask for those too. In the end, my friends said they would never return. I feel bad that they spent money on meals they didn't enjoy. While I love the fettuccine Alfredo and the white pizza, I don't think we'll dine in the restaurant again, not worth the frustration. The service is chaotic, which makes it hard to enjoy your meal and company. I'll do carry-out going forward, and stick to the pizzas.

Yelp
Fabulous food, wonderful staff! We attend Tommy's Trivia nights as often as we can - great time!

Yelp
The customer service was good. Our server was nice and friendly. She was attentive our whole time there. The food was mid at best. The meat On my pizza tasted old and threw the whole taste of the pizza off. The garlic cheese bread was good and had the right amount of garlic. The Italian beef was good but lacked a little bit of flavor. We asked about a cheese sauce and was told people ask for it all the time but they don't have any. To me if customer keeps asking for something why don't you carry it
google avatar

Yelp
This is my favorite place for dinner. They run a great trivia night on Wednesdays and everybody gets to come and order what they like. Every single thing on the menu has been delicious that our group has ordered. We love Amore.

Yelp
The deep dish pizza is literally the only thing I've gotten here, I'm sure everything else is coated but the deep dish has me by my balls. I only come to this place for the deep dish the service is mediocre, if you care about that. I care about the food and how good it taste and its 5 out of 5.

Carla G.

Yelp
This is supposed to be a Chicago food restaurant and not one thing in their taste remotely like Chicago food. The service is very slow, but friendly even when it's not busy. Which it never is the prices are way overpriced
google avatar

Susan L.

Yelp
Great place for pizza and catching the sports game. There's plenty of seating and it is family friendly. I've seen large groups from young sports teams to a 50th birthday party. Just good casual vibes without a poker machine in site. The specials are a great deal and the staff is friendly. The place is clean and bright inside. The wings are not breaded and are moist. I like meatball sandwich with fries is a great deal and is very filling. Definitely check it out.

Heather G.

Yelp
I would leave a 5 but I wasn't overly impressed with the food. I ordered the pizza and a dinner salad. The salad was decent. The pizza was also good but unfortunately I wouldnt get it again. Maybe I just dont like Chicago style pizza. Not sure as I've never had it before. I ordered cannolis and it came with 4 small ones. As of this review, I haven't tried them yet but they look great. The SERVICE, however, is what would get a 10 star review if it would let me. Cassidy welcomed me up front, answered questions I had and made suggestions based on my questions. She sat me in her station and continued to give 10 star service. She is so kind, so sweet and really cares to make the experience a great one. I will be back to try other items. I will definitely ask for Cassidy as my server. Thank you Cassidy for being a phenomenal server and human being.

Theresa G.

Yelp
The deep dish is great but very disappointed they couldn't deliver the baked clams, my favorite. The mozzarella sticks are great and homemade.

Kevin E.

Yelp
Must admit I haven't tried their pizza but it looks very authentic for Chicago style. Their Chicago hot dogs are incredible right down to the poppyseed bun and neon green relish. The ribs are what I keep going back for. Service is always great. Go with friends and catch a game!

Yelp
Chicago style restaurant in Henderson. We decided to try this place out after seeing an Instagram reel of them, making their deep dish pizza. We started with the fried ravioli, which was delicious. You get six pieces. For our meal we each had a personal deep dish pizza. You can choose up to three toppings. I had pepperoni, olives and green peppers. The green peppers were actually baked into the pizza. It was absolute heaven. Don't be fooled by the size because I could only finish 2/3.

Yelp
Stopped bye on Sat. 2/8/25. 4330 E. Sunset. Henderson, NV. Food was OUTSTANDING! We love Chicago food! BUT, even better than the food was our service!! :) Scarlette L. was our server. Lived in Vegas quite some time. Servers are hit & miss. BUT, Scarlette was OUTSTANDING!! She was one of the best server's we have ever had here or actually anywhere ! She made our great meals even better! WHEN you go to Amore's you will not be disappointed-great Chicago food & MAKE SURE-you ask for Scarlette as well. You will not be disappointed either way! TY AMORE'S for one of the best meals/service EVER! :)

Food was amazing and brought out on time. My complaint is after food dropped off so did the service. Seems like at any given time there was not one server on the floor. It was like they were all hiding in the kitchen. I had to ask the hostess for multiple items. The wings were Burnt as were the mushrooms or it was simply old grease.

Yelp
This was my first time here and I was not disappointed! Scarlett was AMAZING!! best server ever, very attentive and on top of it! Outstanding job! Food was great, and we came for the trivia! Equally as fun and entertaining!

Yelp
This place is chill with awesome deals on happy hour. Came here for lunch, we got a beer each, thin crust with pepperoni and mushroom, and buffalo wings. The wings was good, tasty and not dry. The pizza was good and crispy, they definitely dont skimp on mushrooms which we appreciate. Service was nice and friendly too. Will definitely come back specialky for their happy hr deals!

Yelp
Super! My husband and I came for dinner someplace different than our usual. What a great decision that was. We were seated '& met with a server immediately! (A huge plus) We ordered stuffed mushrooms they were delicious! Only 6 on them, they aren't all that big and I wanted to eat every.single.one. But I had to share. My husband had the lasagna with meat sauce. He is picky and he loved it! I had lobster ravioli with vodka sauce... OMG sooooo good. I forgot how much I love vodka sauce!!! Delightful experience all the was around!

Yelp
Happy Hour Baby!!! So this was actually last Thursday...after running errands, I decided to try the newer location to get a quick bite to eat and what do you know..it was the HOUR TO BE HAPPY! I had my favorite Wine~Chardonnay and I had tenders. Although tenders something simple...they were hot, fresh and tasty!! The service as great! Nicole took care of me at the bar and I would like to congratulate her on being a recent college graduate with a degree in Management! She rocks! The ambiance was nice and chill and I love the fact that they have regulars! I will definitely be back! Maybe tomorrow for Happy Hour! Until next time, please like, share and follow! See you soon!

Yelp
Food is good. Service is terrible. Multiple times here and never seems to be quite right.

Yelp
Been a long time customer at the Durango location. Been ordering from this location for a few years. Ordered a large sausage thin crust. Very Very skimpy on the sausage. One piece per slice. Used to be loaded with sausage. For the price you pat, should have much more sausage. Do better Amore! Overall, great choice for Chicagoans. Hopefully next time there will be more sausage!

Yelp
Make sure you ask about toppings, there's a charge to anything you customize/add. I paid over $2 for 3 small slices of jalapeños thinking it would be worth the "extra toppings" amount. Great food though.

Yelp
Food was great! Calamari is a must and their deep dish pizza was so yummy and cheesy.
