This was our first time here, was a much needed date night. We had Mark as our server and he was phenomenal. Very personable and a lot of fun. The food was delicious as well as the wine, first time ever trying rabbit and was not disappointed. Everything was displayed beautifully and we had a great time! We will definitely be returning. 😊

AMAZING! All the food was so flavorful. The was so nice and helpful explaining the menu and making great recommendations on some dishes. She checked in us plenty to make sure we had everything we needed and kept the table clear of clutter and empty dishes. She even boxed our leftovers, which is rare these days. The complimentary dessert and chocolate shot was a great end to our meal.

I went to Amore twice this month. The first was for a dinner with friends and the second was dinner with my wife and daughter. Both experiences were delightful. The food was amazing, and the service was top notch. They have a vegan menu in addition to the standard menu. They are also excellent at handling allergens and other dietary restrictions. It's a wonderful place.

Easily one of the best restaurants in Grand Rapids. It’s a place that puts family in the foremost. The server my party had was very nice and informal on all of the menu options. Chef Jenna even came around to greet our family. The food was incredible.. my steak was cooked exactly the way I like it and prices were fair. The lasagna is absolutely the best in the city. It was a great culinary experience and I can’t wait to be back with my family.

When you approach the restaurant location, you are expecting a grandiose building but actually see a turquoise colored one level building that looks like nothing that you’d expect. When you walk in however, the aesthetics change greatly as you walk down a short hall to the hostess stand to be seated. On either side of the walls are tons of photos of Chef and the people she’s met over her tenure as a chef. It adds warmth to the building and you honestly hope you are in for something special. The interior in the main room has a hue of red and makes you feel very warm and relaxed. The main room offers tables only – some are regular tables and some are high-top tables. The settings on each table are basic and not overloaded with unnecessary crap. Basic salt and pepper grinders are there as well as a small jar of olive oil and some plates with napkins on them. These plates are for dipping your very fresh bread in oil, salt and pepper if you so desire. There is staff just to keep up with basic removal of empty plates and bowls as well as keeping your water filled at all times. I’m dead serious about this. No one will want for any water. The bar area is beautiful and well laid out. There is a piano player near the hostess stand and honestly it added positively to the ambiance. Please tip him. There are 2 extra rooms that may be used for large parties or overflow of people if the main area fills up. You could never tell this just by looking at this place from the outside. Its an excellent use of the space. We studied the menu beforehand but was happy to hear the specials and look over the special $65 per-person sample menu to be able to taste different things. We passed on that but chose one special for my husband and I ordered off the menu. He had the Caesarina salad and the Beef Tenderloin with the Mushroom Risotto (from the specials menu). I had the Fragole salad from the menu and the Florentina which is served with potatoes and zucchini. Both were good. My husband loves everything about Risotto was thrilled about how it was prepared. My only real complaint was that the chairs were very uncomfortable. It made it hard to enjoy the evening when you’re shifting and trying to be comfortable. Some places do this on purpose so you won’t linger for hours on end but seriously, they’re harsh. There is also no dress code. We saw a man walk in wearing jorts and a lady who was dressed all the way up. I think this atmosphere just wants you to be comfortable. That’s fantastic, just get new chairs. I wasn’t underwhelmed, I wasn’t overwhelmed, I was just whelmed. I wanted to try this place at least once and now we have. Oh yeah, the cannolis are amazing. Get them. We did not order any alcohol because we wanted to taste everything as is. If we had, our bill would have been tons higher but people literally came in for a drink or two and left. That’s the laid back atmosphere that this place has become.

We celebrated my birthday and my daughter-in-laws birthday at Amore Trattoria Italiana. We were fortunate enough to get the zucchini blossoms as a starter. The featured specials were so hard to choose from, everyone at our table had a different one! The wine was smooth as silk. I loved it so much h we had to order a second bottle! We will be back for sure.

Spontaneous date night from my husband—well played. We ended up at Amore Trattoria Italiana, and it’s safe to say: expectations were set, met, and highly exceeded. The restaurant energy feels like stepping into the living room of someone (Italian) who cooks very, very well. The entry door is a magical portal to a restaurant in Italy. It’s warm, a bit chaotic in the best way, and genuinely welcoming. No fake smiles, just people who like what they do. Service? Spot on. Present when needed, invisible when not. Bonus points for actual personality—our server was both efficient and funny without overdoing either. Chef Jenna clearly has standards, and they’re high. The arancini were golden, filled with melted cheese and so also comforting. The strawberry bruschetta—surprising, in a good way. Even for me who doesn’t like strawberry’s (my man ate the bigger part of them). But the Speck and Brie stole the show: rich, smoky, creamy, and gone before I had time to think too much about it. The soup of the day—black truffle and parmesan—was borderline decadent. If they bottled it, I’d buy a case. We finished every plate, stayed to long, my husband interacted with everyone, and we both left full in both stomach and spirit. We’ll be back. And if you’re still reading this, you should probably go

Ok here's the thing: this restaurant has very chill and cozy vibes, both physically and emotionally. The chef came to our table twice and we discussed her inspiration for the amazing Fragole salad. She is clearly doing very good things there with her Food and her charity work with Food Hugs . Our server, Kim, was absolutely top notch. She was very helpful with her recommendations. We followed every recommendation and I couldn't have been happier...and I feel like I want to hang out with her now because she's just a genuinely kind human. This is a hidden gem for sure. Get it.

Yelp
I can't awesome enough for this place. First off the service was great. Our waiter was outstanding. But most importantly, they are super celiac friendly and I think I almost saw tears in my wife's eyes. They brought out GF garlic bread for her. The GF pasta was excellent and she enjoyed every bite. But what really got her was the GF cannolis. Beyond that their lobster raviolis were excellent. The arancini's were delightful. We will definitely be back. And thank you for being so friendly to those who have celiac while also providing phenomal food.

Yelp
Enjoyed our first visit to Amore last evening. We were seated in the bar area; it was a warm and cozy environment. Being gluten free we had heard great things about Amore, and they did not disappoint. Cheesy garlic bread was a nice treat while we chose from the wine list. The salads were excellent but had a tad too much dressing, cream of broccoli soup was surprisingly fresh and delicious, and the entrees were excellent. Numerous options for a gluten free dessert, including cannoli's that rocked our world. Looking forward to our next meal at Amore Trattoria.

Yelp
Decided to try Amore Trattoria for a friends birthday and it did not disappoint! We were seated right away and were promptly served some delicious homemade bread. Mark, our server was awesome! Had some great recommendations. We tried the lasagna, pappardelle and lobster ravioli special. We all loved our selections. To finish the meal, the birthday girl got to pick a dessert - the cheesecake, which was a great way to end the meal and the message was a nice touch. Loved the homey atmosphere and can't wait to come back to try more menu items!

Yelp
My first time experience was wonderful! The service was very attentive and somewhat casual, not stuffy. My go to is always lasagna and it was exquisite. I have been making lasagna for over 50 years and it topped mine. The restaurant itself is a typical trattoria and quiet. I ordered the strawberry tiramisu and I almost melted into my chair. At the end of our meal we were offered a shot of chocolate vodka or Limoncello. I got the limoncello and it was just the right end to an enjoyable evening. I have recommended this to several of my friends. I think I'll go there for my 75th birthday. Also, expecting a giant bill, but was under $60 for 2. No alcohol. A must if you are visiting Grand Rapids.

Yelp
It's been on our bucket list to try Amore so what better time than our 49th anniversary!! Sarah, our server, was very welcoming and kind when we told her it was our anniversary. She was also helpful in explaining all the selections, taking our order and checking back from time to time. The food portions are VERY generous (doggy bags for both of us)...the gnocchi was melt in your mouth delicious and my husband couldn't say enough about the Osso Buco...one of his favorites. The beet salad was enough to share. They gave us a choice of desserts to complete our celebration...We couldn't pass up the Tiramisu (this could have been enough for 4 people to share...but again, we will be enjoying it at home tonight) It's a drive for us to get there, but we WILL BE BACK!!! Would love to try the 5 course Chef's Tasting Menu!

Yelp
I want to preface this review by recognizing that Chef Jenna is an amazing human being and philanthropist. And for that, I am including an extra star because I really do commend her work and want to support that endeavor. Our last visit, though was a total miss. It had been about six years since I dined at Amore. One thing I noticed right away was that the menu was almost completely the same. This confirmed what I had checked online, but I had thought that perhaps there had been some revision that just hadn't been uploaded (The last menu online is from 2022). We sat at the bar and the bartender John was friendly and we soon had drinks. We studied the menu and made our choices . If there were any specials we didn't know about them. We did not get a specials menu nor were we informed, (but I think there must've been because people around us were getting served dishes that were nowhere to be found on the menu we had.). We started by splitting a small Caesar side salad and a cup of the Parmesan and fennel soup. They were both fine. I preferred the salad. My husband ordered the rabbit and I ordered the potato gnocchi and vodka sauce. Both of us were extremely underwhelmed. My husband compared his meal to a wedding catering where you got served the last bit. His rabbit was under seasoned, and his sides seemed like they had just been scooped out of a tray that had been sitting for too long under a heat lamp. My gnocchi was very oddly textured super gummy, and not at all pleasant. The sauce was fine but was also a little underseasoned. I just could not get past the gummy texture. Both dishes seem to be devoid of any love. Overall, we just felt the whole restaurant experience seemed kind of tired. Maybe we just came on an off night maybe we just had higher expectations I don't know.

Yelp
Saturday night after thanksgiving was a great time to get away from all the leftovers, we specifically asked for Kimberlee's section as we love her personality, they have many great servers , but she just gets us . We brought a guest for her first experience at Amore and she was amazed . Comfort food , good wine , among friends , that sums up a visit ! Lasagna, lobster ravioli , and sausage w peppers before our final bites of turtle tiramisu.

Yelp
The food was amazing!!! Our waitress Kim was amazing and had the best service!! I loved that there was a person playing real piano and loved how comfy the environment is.

Yelp
Amore is just wonderful. Truly. I made my third visit just recently for my step dad's birthday and was reminded of why Chef Jenna's restaurant is so beloved. I would not say the food is modern, nor is the ambiance-- but the experience is delicious, warm, inviting, and memorable. I appreciate how the menu doesn't change much, as so many of their Nonna's recipes are perfectly spiced, well executed, and intentionally flavorful. This is easily in my top three favorite restaurants in GR. Don't judge Amore by its humble exterior. Order some Arancini and the Lemoncello martini and bring someone you love. It's the perfect place for it. Cheers!

Yelp
This place makes you feel like you are in Italy enjoying a delicious experience. First of all the decor is so fun with Italian artifacts and pictures everywhere. The service was exceptional. Our waitress had a lot of tables and we never waited long for anything. Our drinks called Giada were so good and smooth we had two each. We ordered the beet salads with a vanilla balsamic that was so delicious. Then we shared a lasagna that could feed four people. It was so authentic and yummy. There is so much on their menu I would love to try Also the owner Jenna came over to every table and said hello. That says a lot in my book. We ended a meal with a free chocolate cello shot. What a night

Yelp
It's always a delight to dine at Amore. Their base menu is fabulous and yet they offer incredible seasonal specials, too. I ordered Involtini, their eggplant lasagna, tonight. It was a tasteful blend of vegetables, cheeses, and delicious red sauce. Their house bread was perfect for getting the last of that sauce. :-) For the finale, I ordered the Ricotta Cheese Cake. It was light, fluffy, and perfect with honey sauce and pistachios. As a bonus, they had a lovely solo singer performing for added ambiance. Amore never disappoints.

Yelp
The service is top notch!!! Judy was our server! Bubbly, professional, polite, and very knowledgeable of menu from drinks to dessert and everything in between!! Full of fun stories and recommendations! We partook in nightly specials; beef (perfectly cooked) and mushroom risotto and shrimp/lobster risotto!! Cooked excellent, fresh and flavorful!! We also ordered off the menu; Chicken Florintina' that was paired with potatoes and vegetable of the day, zucchini!! Plate presentation was out of this world!! Everything perfectly cooked and delicious!! We choose a dinner salad (extra $7) Caesar salad. The small size actually serves two quite nicely!! And the romaine was crispy and fresh!! The dressing and croutons definitely are show stoppers too!! The bread oooohlala!! You will not be disappointed one bit! Chef Jenna honored us with after dinner chocolate shots and a taste test of the original & coconut tiramisu. So sweet and thoughtful! I visited this place 14yrs when they first opened and let me tell you, I thought they were amazing then - but now, they have perfected old world Italian food from scratch to the T!! Is it expensive? Yes, as it should be!! It is worth every penny and hands down puts any Italian restaurant in SW Michigan to shame!! We highly commend the support staff; the young ladies filling water, clearing unused dishes, the hostess, to the NEW kitchen staff!! Well done Amore'!!! Well done!! Keep up the amazing work you all do inside the restaurant and out in the community too!! You all are beyond amazingly talented and much appreciated!! Grazie'

Yelp
This was so good I can't explain it! The ambiance and service was so good as if I were Lady Gaga herself! Top tier lgbtq+ service! The food tasted so good and exquisite. Cooked to perfection

Yelp
Thursday night was my first try. The wine selection was good +. And the food choice was well beyond noodles and pizza. But the real thrill was the quiet ambiance with harp music for back ground. GO ON Thursday!

Judy C.

Yelp
Wow! We cannot say enough to tell you how delicious the food was! Mark was our server, and he added a lot of fun to our dining experience. There were plenty of GF options. We spent sat at the bar initially for cocktails before being seated at our table. My husband had a Sinatra (dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives which are made in house) and he said it was the best he had ever had. Jenna has a fabulous restaurant with an excellent team working with her. Be sure to visit Amore soon!

Maaggie G.

Yelp
Cozy family vibe. low key, intimate with beautiful food selection. Always seem to have several specials each night. very accommodating for allergies or dietary restrictions. Friendly staff, the chef is always out speaking to guests. Fresh from scratch food.

Yelp
Fantastic food and ambiance! Reminded my wife and I of our recent honeymoon to Italy! The service was personal and phenomenal. Maybe a little longer than some would hope, but this is one of those restaurants where you don't want to rush perfection! Nonetheless, an amazing place to immerse yourself with authentic Italian cuisine and friendly, personable people!

Yelp
I really like Amore! I've been a handful of times, and each time has been a good experience. If you are going at dinnertime I recommend making a reservation, especially if you have a group of 4 or more. Even for 2 I've made a reservation and it's been worth it. The host stand and waiting area tends to get pretty full, so it's nice if you have a pre-set time. When I went most recently with a group of girlfriends we pretty much all ordered something different, and everyone was happy with their food. I was pretty basic and just ordered a margherita pizza with pepperoni, but it was beautiful, and so well done. I didn't order it this last time, but I definitely recommend the lasagna soup! The first time I heard of it I thought it was a strange concept, but it is absolutely delicious (and so filling)! The service is also generally good here. It was very busy when we were there, but nothing took a long time, and all our orders were accurate. At one point my drink was out, and Chef Jenna was walking around to check on everyone, and she ended up bringing me another one so I didn't have to wait. In addition to her taking the time to check on the guests I thought that was a really nice touch.

Yelp
We just recently enjoyed dinner at Amore to celebrate my mother in laws 97th Birthday and had a wonderful experience. It had been a few years since we were last there so it was really special to have a delicious, farm to table meal with some lovely wine choices, a fabulous waiter named Mark and an extra special dessert for my mother in law that was a blueberry tiramisu and some cannoli as well! Three of the six of us ordered one of the special entrees offered that evening, consisting of a lobster tail and shrimp atop of some creamy risotto. I chose my all time favorites, the "speck" salad with apples, crispy prosciutto, pistachios and gorgonzola along with gnocchi and bolognese sauce. My brother in law ordered the pappardelle pasta with a beautiful mushroom and cheese sauce. Mark gave us excellent service and kept us laughing and enjoying ourselves as it was a very busy Saturday evening and Chef Jenna was not there as she had a special event that evening. Her husband, Chef Mauricio and staff made our experience very special and we are already planning our next visit.

Yelp
SERVICE: 4 FOOD QUALITY: 5 DRINK QUALITY: 5 ORDER TIME: 5 AESTHETICS: 5 NOISE LEVEL: 3 MENU SELECTION: 5 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 4.57 After only 3 years we finally decided to make a reservation and use the gift card gifted to us when we first moved to the area. We were prompted to make use of it because we were moving out of the area and basically everyone said that if we didn't make it over that we would regret it. When we arrived we realized that everyone we spoke to were not joking. The restaurant was packed with a line of people waiting for hours with no reservation and there was live music. The hostess was extremely polite, and took our number for when our table would be ready. We wound up getting the table right in the middle, right in front of the music. Walking into the dining area felt like I was in an authentic Italian restaurant in Europe. Was a beautiful and perfect atmosphere. For dinner we needed to order $100 in food which one might think isn't hard, but we really needed to order more than usual to use it all. To start, we ordered the antipasto misto which was top quality. For dinner I ordered the gnocchi with four cheese cream sauce. The gnocchi was fluffy, and the cream sauce was extremely rich. Definitely one of the best gnocchis I have ever eaten. For dessert I had the chocolate truffles which are a must for any chocolate lover. Overall, this place was absolutely amazing, and we were so happy that we got to experience all the wonderful food. Everything was superb. Our only issue, which happened twice, was that I ordered rose wine but got a Chardonnay. Wasn't a big deal, and I can understand the confusion since we were so close to the music, but might consider repeating everything back to tables that are sitting close to the music. We still loved the experience and highly recommend not waiting three years to enjoy their gift. Also, we found out that they make lasagnas to go. Was the perfect covid dinner plan that we didn't get to enjoy :(.

Yelp
Awesome restaurant run by Awesome People! No matter what you eat it will be outstanding. It feels like you took a trip to Italy without the long ride on a jet. Jenna is a great chef and even greater human being. We have been going to Amore for a very long time and we are never let down. Save room for whatever version of Tiramisu they have that night. Trust me...you will thank me for making you get it.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Fresh homemade pasta finally!! We were treated like family and even the world famous chef and owner came to our table! We loved the lasagna, gnocchi and lobster ravioli and all were perfection.

Yelp
First timers and will never be back. Restaurant is so out dated and stuffy. Prices don't match the ambiance. Food is sub par. Nothing special. Won't be back
google avatar

Adam T.

Yelp
Really expensive for some cold food and a 3 hour wait. Unbelievable. Would rate 0 stars if possible
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
Exceptional. The staff was superb and very attentive. The ambiance was great for a leisurely evening meal. I got the lasagna, and it was without a doubt the best I've ever had! A huge portion, and I cleaned my plate. The sauce was divine, with yummy red peppery goodness, and when I got to the end, the last two bites were the caramelized cheesy noodly goodness that comes with end pieces. Heaven!

Yelp
First time eating here - have heard many good things about it. We did not make reservations, my mom got there right at opening and got us a table (3 of us eating). Mom is celiac, they are very good about cross contamination (mom has eaten here multiple times). Wait staff very friendly & attentive. Food was delicious! I had the lobster ravioli. Bread on the table to snack on prior to meal. We opted for no desert as we were FULL. Waitress brought out same bite size desert - tiramisu for my sister & I and gluten free desert for our mom. There was also a shot glass size chocolate flavor drink brought out at same time as sample desert - was yumm! Owner made the rounds at the tables. Very positive & friendly person. Only negative thing I have to say was the live music was very loud, making it difficult to have a conversation at dinner.

Yelp
So the parking lot and outside looks a bit sketchy but the inside is a lot nicer with a good atmosphere. They had some good specials to include a 2 lb Tomahawk steak for $100 but that was a bit more than I was going to pay for so I settled for the $31 Ossobuco. It did not come with potatoes or vegetables but the portion size was great and the risotto was very tasty. It was very tasty and not over salty but it would have been muck better with some vegetables or a salad, need some ruffage. Joslyn was my server and she was a great addition to the evening and she was what changes the three star to a 4 star. The evening was topped off with Joslyns graciousness of providing me a single canolli as an appreciation. She stated, "No one leaves without having a dessert " and she gave the greatest gift I'd see during my entire visit in Grand Rapids. I would return and eat here again , I enjoyed the service and the taste of the food. Good luck

Tobi S.

Yelp
Amazing!! Great service and food, comfortable down home atmosphere. Will def be back!

Adrienne D.

Yelp
Love the decor and the food is good, but we had to wait a half hour for our reservation. We were seated in the back room which was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. The front room had a singer and was even louder. This restaurant could use some serious soundproofing and more staff. Some soft Italian music and more focus on their unique Italian fare would bring me back.

Yelp
This is by far one of the best places around! The food is incredible and fully handmade! I recommend trying the lasagna, it has 12 layers to it! The truffles for dessert are so tasty as well! The service is always super friendly! I can't wait to go again soon!

Yelp
First time in for a special occasion. O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G!! Food, service, atmosphere... ALL PERFECT!! Our waiter, Phillip I believe was his name, was extremely personable and walked us through our gazillion questions like a pro!! His recommendations were spot on! WE WILL BE BACK!!

Yelp
Everything was amazing. The food was delicious, the wine was paired perfectly, and our server Kim was the best!

Yelp
We went to Amore for the first time to celebrate a birthday. We went in with high expectations and they were mostly met. The atmosphere inside is lovely, with live music and a cozy seating arrangement. We ordered a bottle of the house cab sauv to enjoy and it was excellent. The prices are very fair. Appetizer - Arancini, the star of the show. Don't come here without ordering this- it's incredible! Salad - Caesar salad, this can be split amongst 2 people easily. It's fresh and the dressing is excellent. Pasta - The lasagna was extra special. It was perfectly layered and delicious. Main course - The stuffed chicken was falling apart from being so tender! Unfortunately chicken tends to be very dry but they tried really hard on this and the flavors were there. The vegetables and potatoes are completely unnecessary as this is a hefty portion of food. (however both were cooked to perfection) Dessert - We enjoyed the tiramisu, but it didn't need all of the chocolate chips. Service - I couldn't tell if our server was new or just inexperienced. He wasn't able to answer my question on a substitution, and kept making strange comments. At the end there was a large mixup with the tab where he basically gave our bill to a different table. The problem could have been rectified by consulting with management but instead he just gave up and said "he would cover the difference". I have worked in restaurants for many years and was taken aback by the approach to problem solving- It was a really strange encounter. Luckily we are very easy going individuals or I could have seen that scenario going a different way. Otherwise, I would say service is pretty average. The hostess wasn't overly friendly, but efficient in seating us. The entire team of workers did a great job communicating and helped each other keep the floor running smoothly. The two boys who kept our waters refilled all night did a great job. The chef was also out in the dining room greeting and helping which was a lovely sight to see. Our food came out at strange times and had varying temperatures, and we would have liked to see a little bit more consistency in that space as well. We would definitely come back for the food, and hope to see some improvement in service next time around.

Belinda V.

Yelp
Has gone downhill My husband and I ate there with a friend yesterday, August 20, 2024 We ordered small salads, then the branzino special It was a small fish which had been steamed with wedges of potatoes -- no other vegetables and hardly any spice That dish cost $38! And the service by Austin was extremely slow

Yelp
I have been to Amore so many different times and weirdly, I have never actually reviewed this spot. This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in GR and have always had such a great experience. My girlfriends and I got together for an overdue girls night and was easily able to make a reservation (via phone) and were seated pretty promptly when we arrived. The server was friendly and quite attentive. We were given some fresh bread with olive oil, and I ordered the papardelle and it was made with a white sauce and white boar. It was delicious! For a digestif, we were given a spoon of the homemade tiramisu and chococello. Amazing! I really love the fact there is a 5-course chef tasting for $39 and that's probably the best option you have to try so many items and I'll probably try that again next time.

David B.

Yelp
We came in without a reservation and sat at the bar for a drink and our table was available pretty quickly. The food was good, the service was great and the entertainment was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you!

Yelp
I'm sitting here on a Thursday night listening to harp music with an accompanying piano and eating the most amazing beet salad! Sooo relaxing after a day of work travel. Keep rockin' it Chef Jenna and crew!!

Yelp
Incredible authentic Italian food. My wife was craving Italian and we were in from Phoenix. Being from GR originally; I suggested it. Chef Jenna absolutely made it worth the stop. Lasagna and Gnocchi hit the stomach in an amazing way. Staff was amazing with our littles.

Yelp
I've visited Amore a handful of times in the past, but a more recent experience has me thinking I won't return. Amore is located off busy Alpine Rd northwest of downtown which is a far drive from us - one we've made in the past because it was worth it. However, there are plenty of options much closer that'll we'll opt for moving forward. The service was not good. Very slow and I felt like we were being ignored for other perhaps more 'important' parties in the room? It was the feeling I got. We were there for 3 hours and the service we were offered only allowed me to order two drinks... I would have ordered more... and probably dessert had the server returned more often. I had the gnocchi and it was just okay. All in all... I was just bummed to have driven all that way for subpar food and service. N

Yelp
Disappointed & Lack luster experience. Let me start out by saying that I have always raved about Amore to anyone and everyone who would listen. It had been a good while since I'd been here because of the pandemic and finally in mid May my boyfriend and I decided to celebrate our anniversary here. We were seated outside with a couple other tables. Service was slow, but I think maybe the waitress could've been new so that was okay. The arancini and gnocchi with vodka sauce were the two things I was dreaming about. These are my staple dishes whenever I come. I started with the caprese salad, which put a bad taste in my mouth. It tasted like straight up olive oil but I convinced myself that it was okay because I was going to love the gnocchi. The gnocchi came out and it was honestly lackluster. Maybe the recipe had changed over the years, but I used to go crazy over this stuff and it was just alright. My boyfriend had the boar pasta dish and said it was just okay. He had never had boar before though so maybe he just doesn't like boar. I noticed chef Jenna walking around to all the tables and getting the little dessert shooters passed around when folks were done eating. She walked to every table around us, so it was a bit weird that we were not acknowledged at the end of our meal despite dropping quite a bit of change on this dinner with drinks, 2 apps, and two meals. I didn't even end up getting dessert here - and tiramisu is our favorite. The whole experience just made me sad. This place went from being my favorite Italian spot ever to one I will probably never return to.

Yelp
Amore is never disappointing!! Always amazing!! I love the arancini so much! I tried to duplicate it at home but just cannot make it as good as theirs!

Yelp
1st time there and will definitely be back. Great service from our waiter Mark, you can tell he loves what he does. The food was amazing. We had a Caesar's salad and the Arancini fritters, which were amazing. My wife had the filet topped with Gorgonzola and mushroom noodles, it was supposed to be served with risotto, but they accommodated her request. I had the Ossobuco, incredible! Great service, lovely atmosphere and even a young lady playing the Harp, excellent.

Yelp
Great atmosphere & service!! A little romantic for my daughter and I haha but we enjoyed it. Steak was a little over done for our liking but I would go again.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our time here. Only down side was that we had a reservation and had to wait 45 minutes past that to get seated. We both did the chefs tasting menu and the wine pairing with them. The food was delicious. Just wished our server explained more of the type of wines we got and why it's paired with the course. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and had live music playing.

Yelp
We went here for dinner last night and Had some delicious food food. We had great service from our waitress and the other staff. My food was great! I got the 5 course tasting menu and I'm so happy I decided to do it. For only $39 you get an appetizer, salad, soup, entree and dessert. Every course I had was so good. I loved the little touches of freshness that brighten up each dish. -The arancini was amazing, with marinara, a green sauce that may have been a pesto? And some fresh red pepper not what kind but delicious. -The Speck E mele salad was amazing! The put a lot of the smoked pistachios and apple in it. I absolutely loved it but will say the vinegar is pretty sharp in it. -Soup of the day was asparagus and it was one of my favorite dishes of the night. -Lasagna was great. It's got a really meaty bolognese (not a saucy red sauce) but it's so good. -I chose the spicy honey and pistachio ricotta cheese cake and loved it but I was the only one that enjoyed. I'm not made about it My husbands tiramisu was awesome. The fragole salad my mother in law ordered was delicious, and served with a large goat cheese fritter even though it was a small. She asked for the dressing on the side and they forgot, so the salad was very over dressed for her liking. The waitress apologized and that was it. They ordered the 18oz delmonico special and when they brought out the steak the informed them that they were out of the delmonico and upgraded them to the porterhouse. Now, I think that they should have come out and asked them if they wanted that before cooking it and bringing it to them. I would never assume a customer is fine with a swap unless first asking. The medium cook on it was ok, perfectly medium right in the center but over done along the edges. Kids pizzas are only $6 and I think can be shared between too kids. Lobster ravioli was delicious. The margarita pizza my daughter ordered didn't have fresh mozzarella and only two basil leaves. Good but not great. The Chedd walks around and interacts with the customers which is a nice touch. Plenty of seating, including outdoors.

Yelp
We've heard about this place for a while and finally decided to try it. I'm so glad we did, because it was fantastic! We were a little surprised with the lack of tables in the dining room and that the bar has no seating at it. I'm sure Covid played a role in that. It was quiet and romantic in there, because there weren't a lot of people. I personally think it would be more fun to have it rocking at full capacity, but it may not be possible these days. I only saw one server taking care of all the tables in the dining room, but she did an excellent job! The food was all reasonably priced and full of flavor! My wife got a 5 course meal for $39! Not a lot of places you can do that for that price! My personal favorite was the Pappardelle! It had a substantial portion of noodles and the sauce was very creamy with a strong flavor of mushrooms! That could be a dish I could get every time I go in. I wish this place was closer, because we would definitely be regulars there! We will definitely be going back!!!

Yelp
If you want to try a little bit of everything I would suggest the tasting menu. The chef personally selects the small plates each day. You will be full at the end of the 5 course meal.
