Amoret Coffee Portobello

Wow! The coffee is exquisite! The careful curation, the multi-roaster model, the fragrant beans- smelling and tasting the beans here actually uplifts you! The pour-over options are diverse, some fruity others chocolatey and nutty. I chose a vibrant fruity sublime Yemeni single origin- utterly delightful. London has fostered a reputation for a serious coffee culture and this shop ferments that reputation. Really well-done coffee. Amoret also offers complimentary drip to try and the wonderful part of this was that even for their drip, they use a high quality bean. I know this because the drip was luke warm yet still incredibly tasty. One can tell a lot by the way flavors evolve as they cool down. Theirs was delicious through and through 💜

Great independent coffee shop - the owner works in it and is so friendly! Amazing coffee too, best in the area. The banana bread is delicious too. My go to for coffee in Notting Hill. Beans roasted in house and seating upstairs. Can buy beans to take home too.

I love this place. The coffee is some of the best I have had, and I drink a lot of coffee. I make it a point to stop in every time I am in London.

Friendly barista welcoming made a great Flat White for me, which was fresh, nutty and very refreshing from the freshly roasted beans. A great place to stop by and chill out from day-out for walking a long distance in Notting hill and Portobello Road Market. Highly recommended.

Rude and illusions of grandeur. Coffee was bad, over extracted and stupidity priced. The Ethiopian was bitter lacked any of the delicate flavours you buy filter for. The guy working there needs to give his head a wobble and learn how to brew properly for those prices. Don’t go here if your into specialty coffee.

One of the best coffees I have had in London. They have different types of blends and brewing methods you can choose from. We ordered mocha, americano and latte. All the three were amazing, love how the barista spent significant time on preparing the perfect mocha. Also, the blend used for Americano was brilliant, naturally sweet and low on acidity. Special mention to the Barista, who was very warm and welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about his trade. Would definitely visit again.

I paid £4.5 for a filter coffee, I had to pour it myself, it was watered down, below average coffee, and no refills. Not worth it. I did pay another £5 for a small slice of chocolate chip banana bread and while extremely overpriced it was the best banana bread I’ve ever had. Moist, soft, lots of chocolate, delicious.

5,6 pounds for something I could make in my own kitchen without any effort….(the benchmark price of a matcha latte in London, according to my experiences, should be at around 4,5) So with an above average price, I think I deserve at least a simple latte art? Or am I just paying for its fame and the location premium of Notting Hill?

Sadly, both the coffee and the service at Amoret were bad. The staff came off rude and pretentious, and when I asked a very basic question--"what's your specialty here?"--they didn't seem to know how to answer it. On top of that, the prices didn't match the actual value. There are so many better coffee shops in the area--don't be lured in like I was by the idea of people who care about good coffee. I have to say the young lady wasn't as intolerable as the gentleman. She was beautiful and quiet, and kind.

Really nice spot for a quick respite. Had a latte, cold water and blueberry bread slice. Barista was fun, even though he was out of ice on a hot day! Good energy in the place with a few stools to grab a seat.

A bit on the minimalist side, but given that the coffee is pretty darn good and it's located in Notting Hill, I'd say there are worse places to be. I've been here twice and have had very different experiences, so I can't promise you will absolutely love this coffee. The iced latte left something to be desired. However, I can say that if you order a single-shot oat latte, you should come out a fairly happy customer. A regular 2-shot may come out tasting too strong. My friend ordered a pour-over, but wasn't crazy with his original choice, so if that's your go-to, make sure you ask to try it before you order. If you're coming in to stay a while, I would recommend going upstairs, as there is a bit more room, and the tables offer a more communal atmosphere to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends/ strangers. Bare walls and lack of cushy seating may get old fast if you have nothing to do, though, so if you can take your java to-go, I would recommend doing so. The prices here are fair, granted you actually like what you order, and the service is friendly. And with only one other decent-looking coffee shop in the area, I'd say this one is worth giving a try.

Tiny little coffee shop off the street. It's got an upstairs with 5 tables they seems to usually filled with people on computers. It boasts free Wi-Fi but we didn't have any luck. The flat whites were quite good and the barista knew what he was doing.

Truly one of the better coffees I've had recently. After having a not so great coffee from a chain, I needed something better and more satisfying. I came across Amoret and was very impressed with the care that went into the making of my drink. I had a mocha. Well balanced, delicious, not too sweet. They roast their own beans in house. Great place.

Nice strong coffee to get you energized for all the antiquing and barganning. It's on the way from the tube to the market, yet not overrun with crowds, and very cozy.

Excellent service and good-tasting latte. Not too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. We found it after not wanting to wait at Farm Girl, and glad that we did. We tried the wifi 2x with no luck, whicb is not a big deal. We just used our data plan.

Great filter (drip for us americans) coffee, as good as I have ever had; they do pour over too, when not busy.

By far one of the best coffee shops in the area. The service is warm, and the coffee is strong. As a person who tried to shop and buy locally, it's nice to find a roasters so close by.
