We wanted to get out of the City but also fine a at nice restaurant. My wife found Amoura online and we went to check it out. We didn't have reservations, but we were seated right away. The restaurant didn't fit in the neighborhood. It was just so classy. Not saying that South City isn't nice, but it's not classy. The restaurant was dimly lit. The decor was modern and warm. We very much enjoyed the food. Portions are more than adequate but not excessive. I was very pleased with the quantity of rice. I would recommend the restaurant. Most difficult part was trying to find parking. It took us over thirty minutes. Fortunately, we found something three blocks away at a nearby parking lot.

Google
Warm, friendly service and a great atmosphere with an open view into the kitchen. The kebab was excellent and the lamb outstanding. A truly delightful dining experience and a perfect way to end the day.

Google
Exceptional food and service! We loved the smoked potato bread and whipped feta and pita and muhammara as starters. For mains, the lamb tagine and roasted branzino were amazing! Also, the date cake is perfect too. This place is a hidden gem.

Google
Tried the vegetarian option that included Pita Hummus falafel Salad ... Tasted okay PITA was so bad Hummus was good and so was falafel Too expensive and too little quantity I would NOT recommend the place

Hidden little hideout in the heart of SSF. A nice ambiance, great service, and memorable dishes. Will be back for more! 🇵🇸

Google
Came for a quick lunch and was completely satisfied with staff service and quality of food. The lentil soup is great, minor spicy flavor but not too heavy. Falafel were also fantastic, highly recommend this place. Ambiance is nice, lighting sets the mood and music not too loud. Parking outside.

Google
This is a tiny gem of the bay area. The food is of the highest quality. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very romantic, so bring a date! I ordered the roasted fish. It honestly exceeded my expectations for what a salmon should taste like. I'd recommend just ordering anything. It will always be good.

Google
This place is truly a gem. If you ever need a private room this is the best place to do it. The staff provides HDMI cords, there is a projector and they even give you clicker for slide shows. Customer service was spectacular and the food was delicious. I love this place, highly recommended!

Yelp
Great family business in South City with mazing food and service, and the ambiance was very nice too (great space for corporate lunch/dinners and large events) My bartender Jacob was really attentive and friendly. Stopped by for a quick bite and drink at the bar. Their lentil soup was amazing and came with a fresh bread on the side. They have an extensive wine and cocktail list as well. Highly recommend this place if you're ever in the area!

Yelp
TLDR: Low quality ingredients, not fresh, too salty, dry potatoes, skimpy portions. The bacon is low quality, paper thin and microwaved. The sandwiches and potatoes are all premade and reheated. For $20 I expect a better experience but then again it is airport food. I do not recommend this place. My picture is more flattering for the portion size than reality.

Yelp
I'm always looking to try new spots close to home, so Amoura was an easy pick to check off my South SF list. We sampled a variety of starters and entrees, but my favorite was the sampler platter with a side of their house baked pita. It was the perfect way to try a little bit of everything, and the warm, fluffy pita tied it all together perfectly. The entrees were good, though they could've used a bit more flavor to really stand out. Overall solid Mediterranean spot in the South SF area and I'd definitely go back to try more of their menu.

Yelp
Amoura serves authentic Middle Eastern fare with flare. The dishes are elevated with the freshest ingredients, herbs, and spices. We stopped in yesterday to try their happy hour offerings. The restaurant is spacious and the tables are not too close to each other. The staff is attentive without being intrusive. We ordered the hummus, crispy brussel sprouts, fries, and prawn kebabs. Everything was tasty, well seasoned, and extremely fresh. Their happy hour wines by the glass were also decent.

Yelp
This is the second time I've visited Amoura and we were met with great service and food both times. The food is fresh and flavorful. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, although it was a bit loud since it was so full. But, I would still highly recommend.

Yelp
Good experience and nice food . Appetizer should have more pita slices . Bronzino is moist but less garlic would be better to not mask the taste ..

Yelp
I came here for a weekday lunch with 2 coworkers and loved the food and ambiance. First of all, there's a parking lot to the side of the place which is always a great way to start off lunch! As it was our first time here, we decided to get a mezze platter and the mixed grill plates to share and try everything. - mezze platter - a very good variety of appetizers. This contained pita with hummus, babaghanoush, 2 falafels, tabouleh and sides of tahini, hot sauce, and tzatziki sauce. Falafels were my favorite since they were super crispy! Everything else was good but standard. I'd recommend! - mixed grill - seasoned rice with one kebab each of chicken, lamb, and kefta, with a small side salad. All the meats were perfectly charred while still being juicy and succulent. We were all very happy with this dish. My favorite was the lamb kebab which had this mint cilantro sauce on top. - desserts - baklava with ice cream - pretty good. Their baklava is on the sweeter side especially with the extra drizzle of honey they add for plating. - date cake with caramel and pistachio (we had chocolate sauce on the side) - I surprisingly liked this better than their baklava. The texture of the cake was soft and moist because of the dates, but you don't taste an overwhelming date flavor (which I don't care for). Glad we asked for the chocolate sauce on the side because it was too sweet and not necessary. Overall, great food, convenient location, and friendly service. We're already planning our next lunch here!

Yelp
beautiful ambiance and food was good. chicken (kebab and salad) was underwhelming; falafel was delightfully crispy; yellow rice was delicious. pinot noir was fantastic. service was good too! parking was surprisingly available and FREE?! overall a good experience.

Yelp
Few days ago went with fam to revisit this nice place in ssf. Had been to an event here in the past and wanted to always come back and enjoy their tasty offerings. Ordered quite a few dishes - fresh baked bread with three yummy dipping sauces, avacado n carrot salad (not warmed), salmon kebab, family had chicken and shrimp kebab and had couple of their desserts- date cake and baklava with icecream. Fantastic place and awesome service - check out to celebrate or just in mood to try Mediterranean cuisine!

Yelp
Birthday lunch with my aunt! We came in after their lunch rush. We were here to celebrate my aunt's birthday. We started with our appetizer and soup and salmon, we also had the chocolate mousse for dessert (didn't take a picture) and coffees. Ambiance is beautiful and classy. Very modern with beautiful dark wood. Support this small business. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Wanted to try a different Mediterranean restaurant in the SSF area with a friend and decided to try Amoura! The staff was super attentive and kind, gave us some personal recommendations since it was our first time there and chatted whenever they came to check on us. I would recommend it for a more special occasion as it was on the expensive side. Hot Chocolate - Went on a rainy day and we wanted to get a warm drink. It was a very rich dark chocolate flavor and not too sweet which I liked! Mezze Platter - This was highly recommended by the staff to sample the different items they have on their menu. The falafel was fresh and crispy. The tabbouleh with hummus and babaghanouge was flavorful and went really well on their pita. Kefta Kebab - The kefta (beef & lamb) kebabs were a little dry but went well with the parsley tahini sauce. The side salad was refreshing and helped to balance out the heavier flavors of the kebabs.

Yelp
This is definitely a more upscale restaurant, and the food is excellent! Mezze platter - loved everything on here. Falafel had a great crunch, hummus was smooth as can be, and eggplant had great flavor. Chicken shawarma - plenty of chicken and nicely dressed greens. I loved the side salad as well, it was seasoned really well. A little on the pricier side, but nice great for a treat.

Yelp
Excellent service, delicious food, generous service portions. Highly recommended. Generous portions

Yelp
I have a restaurant and hotel background and am amazed at not only how beautiful and well kept this restaurant is, but the food is exceptional and the service is warm and hospitable. They have happy hour as well. The portions are fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable.. I have been going here for quite some time and I wanted to share my experience with you. Sincerely, Joe N in Daly City

Yelp
Nice ambiance and excellent service. We started with the mezze platter and marinated olives. The fresh baked pita was fabulous, classic hummus was smooth and flavorful and olives were so good. The roasted carrot and avocado salad was fresh and delicious! It maybe could have used a soupçon more acid and salt, but was delicious and a hearty portion. Kefta beef/lamb kabob and chicken kabobs were good. The sauces with both fell a little flat, the yogurt sauce with the chicken was more flavorful than the tahini sauce with the kefta. Excellent spirits menu with great "house cocktails", good wine by the glass options. The lemon dessert, can't remember the name, was the perfect ending, light and not too sweet, thank to Jacob D! Any minor complaints I had with the food were quickly forgotten due to the excellent service. Ample parking, easy in and out.

Elan W.

Yelp
What a beautiful restaurant. Feels upscale as soon as you walk in. My friend and I split the falafel and tahini appetizer. Spicy and delicious! We both had the lamb tagine entree and I was disappointed. I was expecting something sweet, sour and filled with exotic spices. This was just an ordinary lamb stew.. okay but nothing special and served with overcooked rice. Dessert was, again, great. My friend had date cake and loved it. I had lemon posset and was very impressed. I think we'll go back and try the stuffed eggplant next time.

Yelp
Have been at Amoura many times. It is one of the upper scale restaurants in SSF, which is a natural place for a lot of work events. I often meet up with work connections or host team events here. They are always very busy during lunch time for this very reason. Their decoration is pretty classic and well kept. All of their food items are very good. The main dish portion is not the biggest. If I come here without appetizers and just count on lunch plate, I feel hungry quickly after. But I also eat a lot. So this could be biased. Their veggie dishes, the lambs and the salmon are all really good. Their potatoes are very flavorful. I have tried almost all of their appetizers. The serving size is decent and flavor is good. My team enjoyed their flatbreads. Their lambs and salmons are pretty solid here. Avocado salad is very nice. Their service is overall friendly and attentive. I would see us keep coming back for more reunions

Yelp
the falafel was pretty good, not dry or hard. the pita were kinda thin and papery though. the braised short ribs were tender but not melt-in-your-mouth. mashed potatoes were nice though, not too liquidity but creamy enough

Justina Q.

Yelp
From the food, the service, to the ambiance, I'd definitely become a regular at Amoura. The waiter and bartender were very attentive and took great care of the party; our glasses were never empty and our food came so quickly! Not to mention the quality of the food -- with each dish, you can truly taste the love and freshness of each dish served from this family business! Will be here again soon!

Yelp
We celebrated Valentines at Amoura with their Prix Fixe Valentines Menu. The 3 course menu consisted of Crab Toast / Fillet of Beef or Seared Scallops & Prawns / Chocolate Cake or Baklava. The beef was cooked perfectly to medium rare, I took a bite of bae's seafood and that scallop was so tender. Bae's favorite was the shrimp. She doesn't eat the shrimp tails so she saved them for me (lucky me!). The ambiance and the vibes were lovely, definitely a more romantic place to dine than our usual go-to spots. They do not skimp around with their avocados, there was so much in their avocados salad . The hostess and waiter were friendly and they were able to explain the menu to me and informed us what their specials were. They have their own parking lot which is a big bonus.

Yelp
I was recently in SF on business and we went to Amoura for dinner after a looong meeting. Service was pleasant as we arrived, everyone ordering drinks at the bar and when everyone in our party had arrived, the bar tender sat us at our table and proceeded to wait on us throughout our meal. I'm so sorry to have forgotten his name, but he never let water glasses go empty and was prompt while also letting us enjoy ourselves. The food was really great as well! At our server's recommendation, we got the flatbread with olive and goat cheese. Delicious! We also got two of the mezze platters for the table to share - again, delicious! The pita, the hummus, the babaganoush, ... all of it! For entrees, most of our party got the nightly special: short rib on mushroom risotto. They all really enjoyed it! Another got the chicken skewers and loved it! I got the salmon, and loved it! Perfectly cooked, lovely summer squash to go with, and rice which, honestly, was the low-light of the meal. Could have used about half of it and it was ... just not special. We all shared three wonderful desserts: chocolate mousse, date cake, and baklava. Incredible way to end the meal! I'll happily return when I'm back in the south SF area!

Yelp
Amazing cocktails and authentic food!!! I highly recommend their falafel and salmon dishes. Definitely coming back again!!

Yelp
One of our favorite restaurants. Constantly delicious food every time. Start with the Mezza Platter. A must Lamb & Beef burger with crispy cube potatoes and chicken kebab plate. Plenty of leftovers. Reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and fantastic customer service. Easy parking, they have parking lot adjacent to restaurant. 5stars!!

Stacy L.

Yelp
This is probably one of my favorite restaurants and I want to come back here every time I am in town. Luckily it's close to the airport for those last night dinners before an early morning flight out. The menu is full of great options and it's hard to decide. Best if you have more people to share dishes! The kabobs are all fantastic with a great grilled flavor. The pita and dips are so fresh and satisfying and not too garlicky- they rely on the base ingredients for the flavor that I appreciate. The brussel sprouts are probably the best I ever have eaten and I get them often at other places so that means a lot when I say that. Even the saffron rice has a good flavor and texture - something that could easily be average. This is really a gem of a restaurant.

Yelp
Great work dinner. Fresh food and great service. Salmon is slightly over cooked. Shrimps were great. The best is avocado chariot and cucumber salads. Full bars.

Yelp
I love Amoura! I drove from Alameda for the Valentine's Day special and everything was amazing as usual. The service, the food, the mood and the music were all excellent. I especially like the pita they serve along with the flatbreads. The wine and drink selection has also never failed.

Yelp
Awesome food! Love to have Mediterranean food anytime I have a connecting flight to San Francisco. Love the service and and the hospitality.

Yelp
Go to place for team lunches. Food tastes great. I've never been disappointed. Love the cucumber carrot and avocado salad! Service can be slow so wouldn't recommend for quick lunches. Good ambience and allows for good conversations space.

Yelp
Great food and great service. My wife wants to come back after she had a wonderful time celebrating her birthday.

Yelp
Food was awesome and customer service was excellent! The servers were all friendly and polite; our server was appropriately attentive and checked in with us with just the right amount.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week! It was very impressive, all sorts of delicious food. We were most impressed by the lamb shoulder (super soft). I also liked their chocolate mouse. The place looks meh on the outside but is very nice on the inside. Only downside is they close at 8pm and I don't think they are currently open on weekends. However our waiter said that the chef recently changed and the restaurant is trying to make more changes to be open potentially on weekends. He said they hosted a Mother's Day brunch and that went well, so perhaps brunch is in the future.

Yelp
Oh gosh. I was in the mood for an elevated dining experience and we found it 5 minutes from our hotel. We had the roasted carrot/avocado/cuke veg, the burrata/macerated strawberry/arugula salad, and split the lamb shank and foraged mushroom entree. Everything was delicious and excellent.
google avatar

Shelley C.

Yelp
The beef kebab is the best of the platter and portions were quite generous, would come back again for that. Ambiance is modern and has a sports bar area as well. Service is very fast at around 8pm on weekday
google avatar

M. S.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Opening hours are too conservative. There are so few options within the vicinity of SFO. Who closes at 8 pm?

David H.

Yelp
Good food for a fair price. I got takeout so I can't comment on service and ambiance.
google avatar

Elisa H.

Yelp
I do love the food here and I rarely bother writing a negative review. This place also excels at service generally. The ambiance is amazing. The grilled meat and fish are done so well. Today, though was a delivery order fail. My son enjoyed his Mixed Grill. However, I wanted a light meal and ordered the Strawberry Arugula Salad and added grilled salmon. My $29 salad was a pile of arugula, NO SALMON , a vague sprinkling of beluga lentils and a decent amount of gorgonzola, alas there was a single thinly sliced strawberry and some regular vinaigrette on the side. It was light for sure, but not satisfying due to the missing protein. I will come back for dining in person, but this was a delivery fail and understandably, Grubhub won't refund because it was a restaurant, not a delivery error. I sorely missed the pomegranate molasses. , which is the best part of this salad.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a great dining experience here. Very friendly wait staff. The braised short rib was excellent. Their falafel was also one of the best that stands out in recent memory for me. Super nice and crispy exterior and gentle interior. The bathrooms here were also enjoyable to use. Nice clean floors. No slip action happening here. They're doing things right here.

Yelp
Delicious, delicious food. Very good ingredients, and the lamb plate is my fave. restaurant is beautiful and staff are gracious. Happy hour is a great value!

Yelp
9/22/21 Amoura Restaurant is a classy spot for some delicious Mediterranean food. The restaurant has an outdoor patio and indoors is very spacious with a variety of wines on display on the wall. There's a parking lot next to their restaurant. I made a reservation for 12:30/1PM, but the restaurant was pretty empty (probably since it was a weekday), and most of the patrons were seated in the outdoor patio. I went to lunch with my friend and it was his first time trying Mediterranean food. With the high reviews for this place, I was looking forward to some yummy food. Here's what we got: 1. Grilled lamb kebab (mine) 2. Falafel and tahini sauce (to share) 3. Beef sharwama (his) 4. Prosciutto Di Parma (to share) First to come out was the Prosciutto Di Parma and the falafels. The falafels were freshly made and hot inside, crunchy on the outside. The Prosciutto Di Parma was different but delicious, and I liked how they put a bunch of arugula on top. I asked for the lamb to be cooked to medium and gosh was it yummy! Super tender and juicy, not a bite of dryness. Even the rice is flavorful. There's just something about how the rice is cooked in this cuisine that makes it so delicious. I've eaten so many bowls of plain rice in my childhood that when I discovered Mediterranean food, I just can't go back to plain boring rice anymore. I didn't get to try the sharwarma, but my friend said that it was pretty good minus the sweet onions. Not only was the food great, the service was wonderful as well! The waiters are very attentive; I noticed that they would refill our water glasses when it was almost or half empty, and when they did that, they would check-in with us on how everything was going. I would definitely come back and try out some of their other dishes.

Clare J.

Yelp
I had the lamb tangine and my husband had branzino. Both were delicious. We also shared the marinated olives and a salad of avocado and roasted carrots, very tasty. The service was great, especially are main female server. The restaurant has a lovely decor and a classy atmosphere. We'll definitely come back.

Yelp
Amoura has such a beautiful and warm vibe. We stopped here for dinner recently on a trip. I'm not sure if they were having an off night with food or what, but nothing impressed me and I love Mediterranean food. The service was good. I started with the Hibiscus Sun cocktail and it was decent. We ordered the crispy seared halloumi to start. It was alright, but extremely salty which is saying a lot because I love salty food! It also was not very crispy. We also ordered the eggplant flatbread and I did not care for it. The eggplant was mushy and I would have liked more cheese. My friends ordered the beef kabobs and the beef bolognese and enjoyed them. I ordered the lamb and beef burger, but it was just okay. It didn't knock my socks off and the fried potatoes were undercooked and should have been fried longer so that they would actually be crispy and golden. I was excited for them, but they were disappointing. Overall, the food was lackluster, but service and ambiance were great. I would give them another try to see if it was an off night.

Alan C.

Yelp
Great food ! A hidden gem! Everything is fresh! Hummus, flatbread, arugulas and strawberry salad! Salmon was very fresh and light! Lamb shank was falling off the bone! If you have food allergies, please make sure tell them so they recommend a substitute! Service was excellent! Ambiance was nice! Quiet after the holiday! Restaurant is away from the maddening crowds which made it better! You must try this restaurant you won't be disappointed!

Brian H.

Yelp
The food and service were spot on. True Turkish hospitality!! And the shining star in my wife and I weekend!

Yelp
The staff was so friendly. When we walked in, they immediately sat us, gave some suggestions for appetizers and allowed us to talk and get situated before coming back to check on us. They were attentive but not overly. The food was absolutely amazing. Such a great flavor and very filling. The food was a little on the expensive side but well worth the money spent.

Memento M.

Yelp
My family visited San Francisco and we were staying at the Embassy Suites near the airport. We were there and ate a few establishments while touring San Francisco. However, as with all our trips, we always have the one "big" or splashy meal as the crescendo of our trip. We googled like any other person would do to find a restaurant. We narrowed our choices to an Italian restaurant about 30mins away and Mediterranean. Amoura was our choice to eat. Pros: 1. Delicious food. Kebabs, lamb bolognese, chicken schwarma. All of it delicious. 2. Service: The waitress was on it, drinks delivery of the food. Refilling the drinks, taking our orders, giving us time to order, etc. She was very polite and courteous. 3. Ambiance: The place felt upscale but comfortable and homey. I felt underdressed (tourist, hello!) but my family felt comfortable eating here. Cons: None!!! If I am ever in the area, I will make my way back to this establishment.

Yelp
My company ordered catering from them and they are extremely cooperative and accommodating. I had chosen to eat the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and I wasn't expecting much but oh my oh my! The chicken, which when usually in a sandwich is dry, was so NOT DRY. It's moist, it's delicious and most of all, it's amazing. The pesto (?) sauce flavors the bread so well. The bell peppers were cooked so they had optimal flavor. The sides was potatoes and they were so nicely toasted. Even after 30 minutes of waiting (not including the time it took to deliver the food), it was still crispy, clearly fried but not to the point where it was burnt, and the herbs went well with everything. I loved every part of this sandwich and I look forward to eating in the restaurant.

Heywood J.

Yelp
What a gem this place is. We found it on the Yelp app while we had one night close to SFO as our last night in California. I had the lamb kabob my partner had the Fatoch salad both were amazing. It was a quiet Friday night when we were there with just a few regulars but the inviting family atmosphere was palpable. Service was excellent we would be regulars if we lived close by.

Yelp
Nice ambiance amazing Mediterranean food. The flatbread items are good & the salad fresh. Wishing that this place is open on Sat & Sun.

Steve L.

Yelp
The food was excellent, great service. Will definitely go back. I highly recommend that you make reservations as the seating was rather limited due to a special event.
