Amphora Bakery

Amphora Bakery provided a gorgeous, classic cake for a wedding that our studio photographed a few weeks ago! Everyone praised the cake - from the beautiful decorating job, to the delicious taste of the cake inside. They provided a different flavor for each tier and all three looked great!

I’ve been wanting to try this place out for years. Moved to fairfax 2 yrs who and had finally tried their desserts! Ohhh em gee!! Their cakes are delicious!! If you are a chocolate lover please try their chunky chocolate!!! I highly recommend this place. They give you a big slice of cake for $6.95 I think, unlike their neighbor next door Magnolia. I pay the same price for a small cake and dry. I haven’t eaten there yet, but will be trying out their food soon! The customer service are great too! I’ll be coming back soon!!!

I just recently purchased a holiday cake from Amphora Bakery for a Christmas Cocktail party that I attended. The cake was a huge hit! It came decorated like a wrapped present with a big red bow on the top. Everyone at the party loved it and it tasted terrific! Thanks Amphora Bakery!

The cakes and pastries at this bakery are to die for! Even though it's a little off the beaten track, do yourself a favor and go to the extra trouble. A custom cake ordered for my husband's birthday was both delicious and beautiful. The bakers are artists of their craft!

Ordered cakes for my daughter's bday and everyone loved it!! It's a little on the expensive side , but totally worth it. I've bought their cupcakes a couple of times too and it's always been yummy. Again, a little expensive, but totally worth it!

For Arch's birthday, I wanted him to have the best carrot cake. And rumour had it that Amphora would deliver. It did. The carrot cake was fabulous. They are generous with the delicious cream cheese frosting/filling. Their marzipan carrots embellishing the cake were both beautiful and delicious. Amphora is a top bakery, and I will visit every opportunity!

We were were excited to see the bakery but two things made us sad. 1) the items were limited and typical items seen in the majority of bakeries; 2) the baker/owner/person on duty was the man wearing an apron who was sitting in front on the shop talking with two other people. We only figure this out becuase there was no one in the little bakery and we saw him with the apron. This, when we walked in, we weren't acknowledged (even though sign said open), when we were looking around he didn't come in to check on us, and when we left we weren't acknowledged. He was just sitting and talking with a man and women at the little table in front of the bakery.

Great variety of desserts. Just about anything that you would want, they have . Tried a lemon tart, chocolate cupcake and a black and white cookie, all were great. Cakes are beautifully decorated, those will be on the list to try next.
