"A new project from reality TV gearhead Richard Rawlings, who also owns Gas Monkey Bar N’ Grill, will be a custom-designed $500,000 food truck that’ll have the ability to feed 10,000 people a day. According to the Dallas Morning News, the truck (a trailer, really) will be 42 feet long. It’s being designed by San Antonio food truck fabrication company Cruising Kitchens. The truck will be parked outside Rawlings’s auto restoration shop, Gas Monkey Garage, made popular by the now-defunct Discovery Channel reality show Fast N’ Loud, at which Rawlings and his crew bought and restores vintage vehicles. “A lot of people don’t realize I actually love to cook,” Rawlings told the DMN. “It’s my second passion after cars and motorcycles.” Rawlings is currently in a legal battle over another restaurant, Gas Monkey Bar N’ Grill, who he claims is using his brand without authorization." - Brittanie Shey

Visited several times in 2022. It appears with recent changes that majority of shows have moved to Granada Theater in recent months (2023). That said, every trip here was an absolute blast. Great spot, love the outdoor setup with the small waterway, the elevated platform where bands have their merch tables and are available and accessible before and during the shows, and the food here is awesome! Plenty of parking and know there have been some recent gripes given that the venue started to charge for parking but that doesn’t phase us - you’d be paying the same thing or more for shows downtown Dallas anyway! I’m not sure what the future holds for concerts here, we certainly hope they bring them back as this was a favorite spot of ours - music, atmosphere, and exceptionally good food! Highly recommended - plan and budget accordingly and you will have a blast.

Cool place. Plenty of beer stops. Even when crowded, not much of a wait time for the restroom (including women’s). Sound throughout. I’m short, so I couldn’t see much, even on balcony. Had to hold my phone up for pics. There is a nice lounge upstairs (VIP?) that was cool & comfortable with sound and tv’s to see the show. Everyone was nice, staff & patrons alike. Down was a hell of a show! Even ran into old friends.

Gas 🐒 did not disappoint, I'm really impressed that after all these years it's still putting out high quality stuff. We were greeted at the door by friendly staff and they were awesome about seating our party of 6 large guys. Our waitress Jessica was very attentive and did a great job as well. The menu had a pretty wide range of items and had something for everyone. We started with some apps and made our way to the main courses. I had the 2 meat combo and while it was good I felt it could've used a little more meat on the plate. Other than that everything was on point. I hope these guys keep up the good work and out last all the places that are closing around them.

We had a great time at the Gas Monkey Bar N’ Grill. The food was delicious and the portions size are large. The atmosphere is very casual with little lounge areas where are you can sit and watch TV while you’re eating. We had an awesome waitress and the staff were very friendly. The food was pretty reasonable and you have a option to purchase Gas Monkey glasses or mugs .

Awesome atmosphere & great food!! Wish the parking lot had been paved.....not good for motorcycles!!! Although if the guy running the car show entrance would have been more intelligent maybe would have directed us to a solid place to park.

Had high expectations going here (being a huge fan of the show). Upon walking in, I was amazed with the layout and decor. Very well set up and very open feeling. Staff was great. They were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The food was also delicious. Between the time I had ordered and the time when the food had come out seemed appropriate. Not too long like and... where's my food? And not too short that it'll have you wondering how long it's been waiting prepped for someone to order it. I had ordered the chili. The chili was delicious. I am a fan of hot food, so I asked for extra sauce on side, although the menu said it was spicy to begin with. I poured all of the sauce in it, and it had,my nose running. It was perfect. It had a jalapeno spice to it, and brisket was in the chili. Came with a side of buttered jalapeno cornbread. The person I went with had ordered the pulled pork sandwich and ate every last piece. The gift shop was nice as well, though a little pricey. I didn't mind though. Definitely will be visiting again when back in Dallas for work.

My wife and I visited for the first time last night to see Tech N9ne. Great show. We got there early and ate. She had the braised beef and I had the blues burger. Both were good but the braised beef was better. We had a new server who was training so we'll cut her some slack and not knock anything off for the couple little hiccups. Looking forward to the next show we want to see there. Definitely a cool experience overall.

We saw Animals as Leaders here. I don't remember the names of the other two bands but they were great too. Didn't get any pics of the front and the way I have them on here are reverse order as we had to park a long way over and passed the busses on the way in. It's a nice place, I've been here a few times when it was The Firewater. First time as Gas Monkey for me, but my husband bought me a shirt (black with red) last time he played there and it's the most comfortable shirt in the whole wide world (had to because it's my favorite). I have to say one downfall is being able to actually see. We had balcony seats and unless you could squish in with the people at the railing, it was near impossible to see. We had to go down to the ground area to actually witness what we came for. That wasn't horrible, we got in there, but it seemed weird the higher price for a worse view. I feel like the layout could be improved. We had the blue cheese burger with the crystallized bacon...heaven...heaven! So good. Get that when you go there. Best burger I've probably ever had. Prices were really not bad at all. One perk of having balcony tickets is the nice bathrooms and inside bar where you can order food. Parking is rough, get there early.
