AMS Performance

The AMS intakes and heat exchanger is a must buy if you own a VR30. It’s crazy how you can hear the turbos spool more with just some intakes, and you will also experience less heat soak with the the upgraded heat exchanger which is necessary if you don’t want to lose performance. Definitely recommend these two parts as one of the first mods for your Q! 😎💯

AMS has been nothing short of fantastic in my car's journey! Highly recommended for any performance work you need done. Was welcomed with open arms right when I walked in and given a tour of the building and everything they work on. Got my Heat Exchanger installed on my Q50 fairly quick and professionally, no issues. Will definitely be back when in need.

Amazing experience. The guys were very courteous and helped answer questions, showed me around the shop, and did the install exactly to what they quoted. Exhaust is perfectly aligned and I couldn’t be happier. Even went the extra mile and noticed my oil was lower than they prefer and topped it off free of charge which was greatly appreciated. Shoutout to Alex and Yunier for the help, will definitely be coming back!

The intakes look great, solid build quality. My only gripe is on the tuning side. It's taken almost 2 weeks to get a base map to be able to fully utilize the new larger sized intakes.

Tuned my q50 red sport with AMS. It’s was a great time doing the online tuning sending my logs to my tuner and getting almost instant feedback from them. I was helped step by step and explained clearly what to do from my tuner. These are some great people and also great tuners. Parts are great from them. Thank you AMS

Can't say enough good things about these guys! Every order placed was on time. The tuning process was super thorough and professional. They tuned my q50 which is running basic bolt on mods and a flex fuel set up on stock turbos and the car will soon be in the 10 second 1/4 mile range on street tires which is insane and customer service was top notch anytime I've had questions or concerns. I ordered a new air inlet and intake box cover, both made out of carbon fiber. I live in California and was denied because they are claiming its against the new carb laws. Which I do not believe because both parts have to replace oem parts of the same size so there are no performance enhancing advantages. The only difference is the carbon fiber being less weight which is not against the law to have carbon fiber.

Huge thank you to the AMS Performance team and specially Will Lóng for their customer service and answering all my questions when I was looking for . Will went above and beyond to achieve my dream request regarding a t51 R mod. He listened carefully to me and made it happened. Ams does not offer the t51r Mod service however will understood how bad I wanted it. . Few phone calls and made it happen when they were building My turbo from Scratch. As far as I know off, I'm the first one to have the t51 r mod on a 68mm for the GTR.

Superb Quality parts for very decent prices. The people there are very knowledgeable and can help you with just about any of your inquiries. They tend to like the number nine. Home of the 9 second EVO(street legal) and the 9 second 240. Maybe more... They offer engine rebuild kits both basic and advanced. Excellent tuning shop.

Great Shop. Hands down, they're the best at what they do. We've had them working on our car off & on for 2 years now and continue to go there for all of our dynos & tunes. There's a reason why people bring cars from all around the world to AMS, it's because they're known to be one of the best in this industry. Sometimes when dealing with a large speed shop, you feel like you're lost in the shuffle, but they always make me feel like I'm part of the family with their great service and is partly why I've been a customer for over a decade. Not only do they have amazing customer service, every part they deal with is only of high quality that you know will last a long time. So why AMS? High quality products, excellent customer service and support and the incredible work that they do overall. My AMS built motor can be a testament to the great work that they have done and is the reason why I am returning to have my motor rebuilt after 8 years on the same block. Yes, I said 8 years on the same block with over 750hp and it could not have been possible without AMS.

Had there first twin turbo kit on my r8, Ran into so much problems with there kit. They f**ked up my ecu when they flashed it and did not take responsibility for it. What was waste of 35k!!! If anyone going to turbo a Lamborghini or Audi, bring it to UGR. Ams specialize in gtr not Lambo and Audi Don't mess up like me, do your research!

Absolutely the best! Recently I decided to enhance the power on my E63 AMG and after research chose AMS/Alpha Performance based on their reputation for uncompromised engineering and tuning. Well... I got what I came for! I opt'd for the Alpha 7 package, which includes a complete turbo back exhaust, intercooler assembly and ECU tuning with a target HP of ~700 and TQ ~830. The fit and finish of this package is 2nd to none. It is absolute art work that unfortunately is hidden under or within the car. The power delivery is amazingly smooth for such a huge boost. The car is so fast yet daily drivable. It is nearly unnoticeable other than a little extra rumble at start-up, that is until you hit the throttle and the car comes alive. There are very few cars out there that can hang with a Alpha 7 E63 and I'd hazard to say none that car run 10sec quarter miles on pump gas while giving you a back massage. The engineering, customer service and overall integrity of the AMS/Alpha Performance team is what brought me to their business and it will be the same thing that keeps me coming back!

Chris Marshall and his team did an amazing job dyno tuning my 2014 E63S. The car drives great and the power is insane. Chris helped me navigate the entire process for two months as I searched for parts and decided on the right tune. Their reputation is stellar on well regarded online forums

Great people, very clean and professional shop, and even better work. Had my 2008 evo X GSR tunes here and a few mods installed. The work was flawless and the tune was hands down the best I've had before or since on any of my cars. I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for the best performance shop in the Chicagoland area.

Had two things done by this shop. They did a pretty good job on my transmission (which was actually sent to shep trans in ohio for a rebuild) a few years back, but neglected to test it before calling me to pick it up - they had not connected the cables correctly to the stick from the gearbox, so that it wouldn't spring back towards the center when moving the stick out of gear. that makes the car nearly impossible to put into 3rd or 4th while driving. They are very far out of the city. i did not enjoy having to make a second trip out there. At that time i had also asked them to put in a steel, braided clutch line and they just didn't do it. didn't charge me for it, but didn't care to mention it at any point either. I just happened to notice it not on the bill. More recently i brought it back to their shop for other work, namely a recurring clank. at the shop I was made to feel like i was an inconvenience when i asked for a quote for the proposed work - like nobody ever asks for a quote there. eventually i was provided an oral quote after the gentleman looked up the parts on the internet. I had to buy the parts up front which was about $250. The work ended up taking A Lot longer than they thought and the bill ended up being $1000 instead of ~500. however, they did call me to warn me that labor was going to be at least double, after they had taken a better look, but, i had already bought the parts and they wouldn't have been very decorative in my living room. Finally, they told me to come by to pick it up, that it would be ready at a specific time, which i did, and then ended up sitting in their waiting room for about 2, hours for it (plus 2 in travel, arranging of a ride etc.). The best part? The clank remains - probably totally unrelated to the thing they replaced, now that I've talked to some other mechanics.

I just had my 99 Camaro dyno tuned at AMS. The staff there was excellent! We encountered a few problems while on the dyno, none their fault, and they tackled them without a hitch. The car runs great now. The staff there is very professional. If you're sick of shops not returning your calls or acting like they are doing you a favor by working on your car then go to AMS. Their staff is very knowledgeable and takes their time to make sure you are satisfied.

A little pricey but these guys know what they are doing..
