I really did not want to write this review because I don't want to be having this experience. I sent the following email to Amsale customer service 9 days ago with no response.
"Dear Amsale Team,
I am writing to you to express my dissatisfaction over the handling of my wedding dress. On November 4, 2021, I ordered the Fabienne gown through the collection preview trunk sale. I did not receive any information about when the gown would be ready until I reached out in March, five months later. I was told my dress would be ready by May 1. I had to reach out again on May 19 to discover my dress was ready. The dress was then shipped to my mother's home where I was to be fitted by a local seamstress. I was scheduled to have my first fitting for my October 22 wedding on August 2, this past Tuesday. This is when I began contacting customer service because the dress was sent unfinished and without a side slit.
In the past four days as I've tried to rectify this situation, which was already quite stressful because I had to take a special trip and time off work to go to the seamstress, all of the information that has been useful to me has been mediated through my sister in law who was kind enough to reach out to your director of sales on my behalf. Yesterday my sister in law texted me to let me know that my dress would be ready in less than two weeks. She also assumed that I already knew this information. I did not, because no one on the Amsale team reached out to me about my wedding dress, which appears to be a pattern.
As you are in the business of weddings, I'm sure I don't have to remind you that planning and executing this event has been one of the most singularly stressful and time consuming activities of my life. To have my dress not only show up half-finished, but then to have customer service not even tell me the date when it would be fixed (but have the director of sales notify my sister in law instead), is unacceptable. In order to remedy the situation, I believe it would be appropriate for Amsale to provide complimentary alterations on my dress as I have already missed one appointment with my seamstress."
The dresses are nice, but if you have a problem, the customer service is abysmal. As you can probably tell, this has been really stressful.
