"A French colonial allure depicts this two-storey restaurant with a blue and yellow façade. A relaxed vibe and its convenient location near the Han River and Han Market make it a popular spot for a meal after shopping. The concise menu features outstanding bánh xèo, boasting crispy, golden pancakes stuffed with carrot, pork, shrimps and squid. Spot-on seasoning, divine aromas and very courteous front-of-house staff." - Michelin Inspector

I recently dined at Ăn Thôi in Vietnam, and I can confidently say it deserves every bit of its five-star rating! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. First, the service was prompt and friendly, ensuring that we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Despite the weight being a bit short, the staff made sure everything else was perfect, and their attentiveness was commendable. The food was truly the highlight of our visit! Each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented, showcasing the incredible culinary talent behind the scenes. It was evident that fresh ingredients and authentic recipes were used, making each bite delightful. The atmosphere added to the overall experience, as the restaurant’s decor was beautiful and inviting. It created a lovely ambiance that made our meal even more enjoyable. One pleasant surprise was the pricing – it was very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes we received. The value was outstanding, making it a perfect choice for both locals and travelers alike. We had a fantastic time at Ăn Thôi and left with our hearts and stomachs full. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience in Vietnam. I can’t wait to return!

I had a wonderful dining experience at An Thoi restaurant . From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, who were not only friendly but also very flexible and attentive to our needs. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic flavors that clearly reflected quality ingredients and skilled preparation. Every dish we tried was bursting with taste. The atmosphere was another highlight. cozy, and nicely arranged. And the service was impressively quick. Our food arrived without much wait. Overall, this place combines great service, mouthwatering food, and a peaceful vibe. Highly recommended! will visit again for sure ♥️

Walked in because of the Michelin sign. Overall, service is very good and the food is decent but not amazing. Like many of the people who reviewed this restaurant, it fell a little bit short of expectations for a Michelin star restaurant. The only above average/excellent dish was the morning glory. The pineapple fried rice was very aesthetically pleasing but it is pretty average in terms of taste. They cut up the pineapple for dessert after you finish the fried rice so that’s a plus for “interesting” and “good service”. The rest of the food was very average BUT the prices of the dish is very cheap compared to other foods we have had in Vietnam. To be fair, we also did not order their signature dish which was the garlic shrimp and pancake.

*** Highlights: Great service, great food but alas we got food poisoning. The lettuce is the culprit *** What we liked: Everything *** Recommended? We had a great evening, but it ended in the bathroom for a day. My wife was very sick. I’d recommend the place but would not go back

We visited the restaurant to have our early dinner at 4p.m. and the place was already packed, so we had to take number and waited outside for around 10mins for an empty table. We were okay with the wait as the staffs were really helpful and friendly, but if someone is really hungry and cannot wait then this is not the place for you. The restaurant is quite nice and gives off the traditional Vietnamese house vibe (like Hoian style). It was almost Tet holidays when we visited so the decoration theme was about Tet. We ordered Stir Fried Noodles with Seafood, Grilled Oysters and “Banh Xeo”. Our orders came quite fast. Banh xeo was so crunchy on the outside and the peanut sauce was nice. Stir Fried Seafood Noodle was so-so as I found it a bit salty for my liking. Grilled Oysters were my favorite as they tasted so fresh I could smell the sea. The price here is very reasonable for a Michelin restaurant. As for the food, I just hope it can be less oily and a bit less salty, but I’m more leaning towards mild-taste-food-with-less-seasoning so I cannot say that for everybody. If you want to try many authentic Vietnamese dishes, “An Thoi” restaurant can deliver it to you. But just know that the restaurant is very crowded and noisy, you will definitely cannot enjoy your food in peace. :)

Conveniently located right next to Cho Han Market. All the dishes we ordered were excellent, and the food was surprisingly budget-friendly for a Michelin-rated spot. The service was amazing—attentive and efficient. The staff even offered to deshell our prawns, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Definitely worth a visit and highly recommended. We left around 12pm on a Monday and saw a line forming, so if you want to avoid waiting, it’s best to reach before 1130am.

Little tip to my friends, especially for Danang, if they are famous, better make reservations in advanced. Came at 1pm, waited for about an hour. But it is so worth the wait! I've been wanting to eat the dry noodle dish. And finally had a good one at this place. Service was also top notch. Seats and drinks for customers waiting in line.

Definitely the best in town and the surrounding area — worth the wait. Experienced chefs and attentive waitstaff deliver a level of service that feels truly premium. For the price, it's an absolute bargain. I can confidently say you won't find better quality food and service at this price point. A unique gem, rightfully recognised with a Michelin recommendation.
