Great bartender Roxy who knows her stuff and took good care of us. Would come back.

Great atmosphere expensive drinks. They have a great drink selection, beer and liquor. They also have a large bar and pool table. I thought this was going to be dive bar prices, but unfortunately a shot of Jamison was $13. The staff was really nice so I can’t complain in the end. This is Napa Valley prices.

The atmosphere at this bar is cool, but unfortunately that’s the only positive I can share. I can overlook a bartender being rude, sometimes personalities just don’t mesh, but what I can’t overlook is a fraudulent tip being added to my bill. That crosses the line. I highly recommend checking your receipts if you choose to visit.

Very enjoyable bar with a lot of attitude and class. They only serve various versions of hot dogs along with the drinks but I had a the a Mexican type hot dog which was delicious with my Moscow mules. The Moscow mules were very good and I definitely had to sit a few minutes to make sure that I could drive safely. I will enjoy returning to this location it was very very good

I normally never leave negative reviews because I tend to think that we should be our own judge. I was walking outside this restaurant and what appeared to be the owner yelled at me for standing with my 2 small breed dogs for less than a minute. I’m not from the area and I was trying to find a pet-friendly place to have lunch since it’s 75 degrees outside and they CAN’T stay in the car. I want to add that the owner yelled “this is not a park, can you move away from my restaurant” when all the rest of businesses have water bowls outside for dogs. I have no interest in buying food here ever. I will never support a business like this.

We are locals of the Napa Valley. While we really liked the atmosphere and the bar tender was very friendly the prices for drinks ....uhg....was very , very expensive for a "dive bar" 2 splits of champagne $18 each. One beer $10, one double vodka $25. We won't be back.

Terrible experience. Ordered a single round of drinks for a party of four, apparently each drink was over $30 each based on the receipt given. When we asked for an itemized receipt, the one provided did not match the first receipt or what we ordered. Due to the lack of transparency with receiving two different receipts that didn't even match our order, and the badgering of the bartender, we felt no tip was a fair solution. After reviewing the credit card statement days later, the bartender decided to tip herself. Patron be aware!

This is Napa valley for humans. After days of being sold on every wine and club in the valley, it’s incredibly refreshing to go to this family run bar that focuses on the people in front of them. We stop by every time we’re in town. On our most recent visit, Roxanne was behind the bar customizing margaritas for each persons taste, but her mom, Ana, stopped in to say hello and was greeting her regular. Such a wonderful atmosphere.

Great service and atmosphere highly recommend Ana the bartender. !! Ask for the hot dogs. Amazing! Drinks are perfect also

So.....complicated excellent experience. Amazingly friendly bartender , solid beer selection, great ambience, awesome jukebox. We rolled in Sunday afternoon before dinner at Goose and Gander. The bartender Roxy introduced herself and explained drinks available. Unfortunately two of us opted for the Bloody Mary / Modelo combination. Holy crap. Like the hottest drink ever. I really like bloody Mary's I like heat but there is nothing like this. Pepper pepper pepper. Heat on the lips gums stomach. Holy crap Definitely visit but buyer beware....

This bar....... AMAZING! From our groups arrival. 5 total, we all felt welcomed. Roxy greeted us and immediately started taking our drink orders. She does have a twist on some of her drinks but every one of them we tried were top notch. The salt that is made in house (can also be purchased) was the star of the show. Can't describe what it tastes like but it was truly great. Roxy had a way of always having a little extra left when making drinks and gave the extra to our group several times. Her Mom Anna (I'm going to say she is the owner, lol) is also an amazing person. I didn't get a chance to speak with here but my wife and her friends took the time to go to outside back area to chat with her and they all agreed, she is an amazing person. This place was definitely a treat for our group during a surprise birthday visit to Napa Valley. We will definitely been revisiting this place in any future visits we have to the wine country but it will be a toss up if it is for Roxy, Anna or the fabulous drinks. Highly recommended & best wishes!

Hey, I think I just saw your nose grow a little bit! Instead of trying to correct the situation this is exactly what I mean. I know what happened. And I'm sorry you can't see that. I was assaulted in this establishment. They do nothing. Beware just read how they justify their behavior. Just wait and see bartender/ owners response.

I brought my husband to Napa for his first time this month. I grew up in the greater valley, and I was explaining to him that not ALLLLL of the valley is pretentious and in-fact, there's many down to earth people and places to hang. The hospitality at Ana's is unmatched. The staff is so friendly and happy to serve. We came to hang and drink a few times while we were in town. There's no frills here, but if you want to have a reasonably priced drink, good conversation and throw a dollar on the ceiling this is the place for you.

Ana's is a local legend. My husband and I love to pop in for a drink or two. Roxy is awesome and makes the best drink-ask for the Rock On Ana. It's an excellent place to shoot pool, watch sports, or just enjoy drinks with friends. We always have a fun time and highly recommend you visit

Great family owned bar with amazing drinks! The Bloody is AWESOME!!! Cold local draft beer and who doesn't love throwing dollars at the ceiling?

The bartender Ana is Absolutely charming. She's funny and takes the time to carefully explain her wonderfully crafted cocktails. Her Bloody Mary is the best I've ever had and the margaritas are great. Definitely a must stop after wine tasting or if just passing through.

I could write a book on how amazing this place is. Everything a good dive bar should be. Amazing drinks (focused on the cantina vibe, aka margaritas, michelada's, bloody mary's and even more), cool vibes (the decor is so fun! entertaining enough you don't need your cell phone here), and family owned by the sweetest people! We met Roxy who told us the history of the bar and was so accommodating and kind. Try the Rok on Ana! It's a house made speciality basically a combo of a bloody mary and michelada, probably one of my favorite 'micheladas' ever! Cute chairs in the back outside in the sun too. Leave your bad attitude at the door - they don't deserve it here and won't put up with it! Good for them!

We absolutely love this place! Best low-key, non-pretentious dive bar in Napa Valley, by far. If you go to wineries all day, there's nothing better than a cold beer or cocktail and Ana's not only has great service, but the family is super genuine and authentic. My wife loves the margaritas made by Ana's daughter Roxy.

My friend and I stumbled into the Cantina... our bladders were bursting and we were starving! We met the fabulous, affable and most delightful Roxanna in this old St Helena local bar. Had a couple of amazing signature Bloody Mary's and split an excellent Chicago Hot Dog. Roxanna makes a serious hot dog and I will go back! I loved this family owned business, loved hearing about all the good they do, how they give back to the community on the regular. If there were six stars, I'd give it for this gem of a place. Love you Roxie!!

Dropped in midday Sunday for a cocktail. Glad they're here. A quick solace from all of the wineries. Roxy had a personality big enough to fill the bar! Lovely, energetic host and bartender. Good locals bar (dive bar). Make a stop and enjoy.

Ana's was a welcome, friendly stop on our way to Napa! Great drinks, super helpful, friendly staff, and they contribute so much to their community. We got to play a game to add money to their ceilings and walls that 100% go back to the needs in their community.

Great vibe! Great bartender (Roxy!). Ordered the "Rock on Ana" and it's probably the best Bloody Mary I've had in a while. My husband ordered a spicy margarita and loved it as well. Definitely a great stop in downtown! We don't live far, and I can't wait to come back.

On a day trip to St. Helena, we came upon Ana's Cantina and were drawn inside by the ambiance. Cool, old school bar. The beer was cold and the vibe was hot. Great time, be sure to visit!

I would give this place a zero the bartender is a narcissist and can't even just let you order your own drink. She has to tell you how your drink should be ordered. She's the worst she should never be in a restaurant/bar atmosphere. She makes people that spend money feel like their not welcome I've never given a bad review, but I'm happy to give this one my first bad review

Stopped into Ana's Cantina while shopping in St. Helena. An unexpected surprise...an old school bar. While having a local IPA, I met the owner Ana and her daughter Roxie. Such a friendly and giving family. Great place to visit so we will be back soon.

Fun place both day and night. We come because Roxy is so fun. You need to try the Rock on Ana. Also you need to have the hot dogs.....their to Die for. It's a family owned business since 1987. Roxy service is top notch.

Just walked in because it drew my attention. Great local bar that's been in operation since 1987. Family owned and operated. We met Roxie Anna's daughter and she was awesome. The money tacked to all the walls goes to local schools and charities so don't forget to donate. We will be back our next visit to St Helena.

We ventured into this establishment and were greeted by Roxy who had 1 other customer in her bar. It was a day that was over 95 degrees and the resort we were staying at offered us a water bottle before they dropped us off downtown. When we entered the restaurant she asked us for our bottles. No problem at all. My sister simply asked a question as to why water bottles were not accepted In a very curious but respectful way. Instead of just answering in a customer service way that their liquor license doesn't allow outside drinks, Roxy went off in a very aggressive, condescending, insulting way. Asking us where we were from because in California this is the law. She went off on a tangent for over 2 min ending with everyone is hot and bothered trying to make up for her actions. (We are all hot that's why we had water). After hearing her aggressive explanation and tone I told her she was being very aggressive as we stood up to leave. She told us to never come back and to take our "trashy" selves somewhere else. We aren't trashy, Roxy. You clearly are. Our family owns a restaurant and we've never experienced anything like this. Even your 1 friend/customer said to my sister I'm so sorry!! We expect you'll have a "trashy" response to this since we've seen how professional you are to your other negative reviews. Might need to learn from them.

Roxana is the greatest. Big boss lady on a mission and keeping Ana's culture alive. Respect her bar and you'll have the best experience and drink(s). It caters to those who value service and experiences. Drop by if you're town. Get a drink! Thanks Roxanna!

Roxy is the best! Love her custom salt spice on the Bloody Mary. I'm a local and I'm telling you to stop in on a Sunday morning to cure that wine handover.

Was in St. Helena again and stopped in for a cocktail and a Chicago Dog. I'm not joking, Ana's is a hidden gem and fantastic respite to all-day wine drinking. And, the hot dogs are off the chart and are a perfect snack for those not wanting a formal dining experience. Truly, if you don't stop in for a hot dog, you are missing out.

We landed here last NYE unexpectedly. A good o'fashioned bar bar. Refreshing in these parts. The owner, Ana, was here that day. She graced us with her presence and we had a great time! So fun here! You can get dizzy wondering how many dollars are affixed to the ceiling!! We came by on our way home this NY and had the pleasure of meeting Ana"s daughter Roxy. She's got her mother's beautiful spirit! So warm!! Love this place! Will always stop here when in the area!

Stopped in for a quick drink before dinner. Was a dark bar with not much seating, and a pool table at the back. Looked like a locals hangout. The before dinner crowd was older; not sure if they get a younger crowd later on. Lots of dollar bills stuck to the roof and ceiling. Not sure how they stay stuck up there; we asked at the bar but they said it would cost us a dollar to find out. They clear off the money occasionally and donate it to the local Boy Scout chapter.

Roxy and Cat, mom are the best. So engaging and helpful with places to go and things to do. The bloody Mary's are made with love, so yummy!!!!

My Daughter's were just charged$ 283.00 for four lemon drops without an itemized account for their drinks and the drunk bartender refused to itemize and threatened to call police. We aren't TOURIST WE ARE BORN AND RAISED Napans This is what this establishment is more than likely doing to tourists!! Unexceptable...gives the entire Valley a bad .

Roxy is awesome! Great service and great drinks! We'll be back. Pool table and great little town with awesome dining options all a quick walk away.

WORST EXPERIENCE! I live in this area & I got one night for date night, what a way to experience... the owners "daughter" was SO RUDE & charged me for a shot she poured me before I could even say what I actually wanted. Do not go here, I've had bad experiences here before but that one takes the cake. OVER CHARGED ME. Just a really negative energy. Will not be back.

Bloody Mary's rock here! And their beers on tap list is epic. Pool table, jukebox, tv's everywhere, and a casual locals vibe. Roxanne is the best, great drink suggestions.

I came here after a wedding a couple of months ago. I was there for about 45 minutes late at night to say farewell to some fellow wedding guests. I had 2 beers and bought a few drinks for some friends as well, thought nothing of it. Well a couple of months later I'm going through my credit card statements and I was charged $850!! I've tried contacting the business electronically half a dozen times, no response. I've tried calling dozens of times but the phone line has been disconnected. Even my credit card company can't get a hold of them to settle this matter. There's no way I spent $100, let alone $850. Best case: it's a huge screw up. Worst case: this business stole over $800 from me, knowing that I live nowhere near this small town to come back and do anything about it. Do NOT recommend.

Cool space with a fun vibe. Cat took great care of us; she was super friendly! She also made us a Tijuana Dog that was tasty. Nice place to catch a game on a Sunday. They still have an outdoor patio in the back of the bar. The bar is also dog-friendly.

Our experience with Ana's Cantina was that the drinks were pricey. We didn't receive an itemized receipt so we didn't have a way of knowing if we were over charged. Roxy the bartender pulled me aside to ask if I were pregnant. I can assure I am not. While it may go against your moral character ( mine too) It is illegal to not serve someone based on pregnancy. We will not be returning to this establishment. If could zero stars I would.

From the moment you walk in, Roxy makes you feel like family. The bar is a true hole in the wall that stands out amongst the bourgeois shops along the Main Street of st. Helena. It's cozy, a little tacky with its kitschy tropical theme, but that just adds to the charm. Reasonable prices and a decent selection of beer, you won't find $40 craft cocktails with smoked cilantro hazelnut Beetlejuice carbonara or whatever is trendy these days, but Roxy makes a mean margarita and always makes sure it's to your taste -- sweet, sour, balanced; sugar, salt, spicy salt, or nothing on the rim; she'll even pour the leftover drink into a little barrel shot for you like they do with the leftovers for diner milkshakes. Five stars from Blondie. Thanks, Roxy! See you again soon!

A must stop for anyone in ST. Helena. We love the vibe and friendship in this place. The drinks are always a good price and tasty.

What a terrible experience. Do NOT go here. The daughter of the owner worked the bar and recommended her house made Bloody Mary's - but suggested you buy a Modelo to mix with it. However the Modelos cost $9 on top of the Bloody Mary's. And she charged us for extra drinks which she could not produce a receipt for. One hour at a bar with 6 people was $245. I realize I'm in a place with a higher cost of living. I guess I'd say be prepared to pay a lot for your drink and maybe pay as you go. I don't think the owner was honest. It's a shame because the place was fun but the bartender seemed sketchy.

Fabulous Bloody Mary, they call it Rock on Ana after the mother daughter owners. Great old bar feel. Check out all the dollar bills on the ceiling. Wonderful friendly service. Momma knows all the local history.
