Generous portions and relatively modest prices in a traditional Italian taverna-style restaurant. The waitstaff were lovely, and overall I’d happily recommend it. The only downside was the toilets, they really could have been cleaner, and that’s non-negotiable no matter the price point.

One of the best authentic Italian restaurants ever! Stumbled by mistake and like the food I saw outside on the terrace. I had the most welcoming and awesome service. The food 15/10! It was like dining with family and the staff and owner were so friendly!! I will def be back and highly recommend. I was given free dessert on the house!

A warm welcome from the moment we walked in. Wonderfully cozy ambiance. Very attentive staff. We went on a Monday in bad weather and were surprised to find it half full, after 5 minutes the reason for the custom was obvious as the owner made an effort to converse with all the tables. Some of which had obviously been before, returning custom I always find a good sign as nobody goes back to bad experiences. The food was superb, for both of us, hot and tasty and arrived in good time, not like it had been microwaved time more like good preparation time. Not instant but also not feeling as though you were waiting forever. Value for money was good, especially for the centre of London. We had such a wonderful time we went back the very next evening, we ordered different meals and were still extremely impressed. Both nights we walked out feeling extremely satisfied, full and happy with our experiences. Top marks to all involved and will definitely be back when we next visit London.

Authentic family Italian restaurant. We stumbled upon this gem when walking away from the overcrowded main streets of London. It was a great surprise. Two adults and two kids 2 & 6 years were welcomed at the door and made to feel relaxed as soon as we were seated. The food was all excellent and the service was the quality you expect from a place where you feel like you are in their treasured home. The atmosphere was beautiful as we could hear the owner enteraining a group of diners with stories, just as they do in Italy. They made our kids smile and enjoy their dinner with their genuine interest in them and gave them plenty of time to interact. All the food was excellent. We had steak (a great cut cooked perfectly) , seafood pasta (full of flavour) and the kids had spaghetti and milanese which they devoured. We have saved this place on our favourites list and will definitely be back when escaping the Christmas crowds. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back again during the year. Found this place by accident and so glad we did! The extensive menu provided many options of gorgeous food, which were served quickly and efficiently by friendly staff. We sat inside (most people were outside) but that didn’t diminish the atmosphere at all - quite the reverse. Highly recommended.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a spot to have dinner in London. All we did was take a peek inside and we were immediately invited in and sat at a table. The staff were so warm and welcoming and we felt like we had just been accepted into their family. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere even more so!! It was such a lovely evening as we noticed everyone in the restaurant smiling, laughing, and cheersing one another with raised wine glasses across the room. One of the best experiences we had while visiting London!

Reserved our table at 645pm Saturday evening. Seated quickly and our orders came quickly with sliced baguette, butter and mixed olives. We went with the set menu and the food didn't disappoint. Huge portions. We both struggled to finish but managed to find a little space for dessert. Delicious. Would definitely recommend. It's a local gem.

1st thing that crossed my mind when we walked in was "Gordon Ramsey" Hell's Kitchen!!! He needs to pay them a visit. The place needs real attention. Just remember, like those episodes when he visited restaurants run by a family and everything was dirty, oily, sticky and dusty. The staff are extremely rude. You can't justify it by any excuse (culture, origins, ...) Totally rude! The 73 year old waiter told off 2 youngsters (returning customers for the 2nd day in a row) that they need education in front of all of us (WTF!?!?!?). Everyone is free to leave their own thoughts and feedback but I'm not sure how they're getting all these 5 star reviews. Paying the bill was one last challenge! I asked to get a copy of the card receipt and the waiter didn't even bother to listen after getting the payment. Management! If you (somehow) end up reading this review: There's funny and there is rude! You can't tell the difference but your customers can.

Service was okay but the food was just terrible. Italien restaurants that can't even make a decent pasta are just the worst in my opinion. I can't recommend.

The food is fantastic and the restaurant is just so quaint and authentic. I ate here 17 years ago and it was just as good today as it was then.

Old school Italian restaurant - you wouldn't think much from the outside but it feels like home. Everyone working there is friendly, they seemed to know half the people eating and oh, the food was great too. My party had a bunch of different dishes (all good) plus all the starters- olives, bread, etc filled us up mightily. Highly recommend it.

Anacapri is an absolute gem of an Italian restaurant tucked away from Baker Street. If I was not tagging along with a bunch of regulars to Anacapri, I would have never found the place. The restaurant is quite the traditional Italian restaurant, with not much frills and fuss, just simply wonderful Italian food and service. The decor is cosy and simple, but tasteful. As it was wonderful weather, we were given a lovely set of tables outside in the sunshine where we shared a few bottles of wine before dinner. They also brought out a few complimentary starters, including veggies with a nice balsamic dressing and garlic bread. For my main I enjoyed a scallop plate that was to die for. The sauce was incredible, DRENCHED in garlic, which is what I love most. On the side was a great selection of veggies that were delicious. Paired with the wine and the summer sunshine, it was perfection. Yes, the food at Anacapri is incredible. If you are looking for a great Italian meal at a reasonable price this is your place. But what really sets this place apart is the exceptional service. We were well taken care of and we had multiple servers as well as the restaurant owner constantly making sure we were happy. We dined for hours and until late into the night. We ended the evening with limoncello...mmm. Just lovely.

I had dinner at Anacapri. I had gaspacho, calamari and Vongole pasta. Gaspacho was alright but calamari had so much bread coated that it tasted like Japanese tempura. Also, my vongole was not with wine sauce but tomato sauce, naturally I thought it was not my dish. The waiter was a bit odd and sometimes rude in a way he would made racial jokes, probably out of ignorance but still not pleasant. I don't think I would go back to Anacapri for pasta.

What a fantastic Italian this is. Hands down the beat Italian we have ever been to. Fantastic friendly family service from the minute you walk in. It never disappoints. You'll come out full as a can be and comment that you've eaten too much but you'll love it.

Had a fantastic work lunch here on a Friday afternoon. Very attentive service from a bunch of quirky Italians. They were always joking around, but in a good way. Made the experience very entertaining. I had the smokes salmon starter, which was nice. Other options from my colleagues included prawns and calamari which looked even better than mine. For main course had Milanese veal with spaghetti. They bring sides of fried potatoes and veg too- very generous! They then parade all the desserts out so you can't really say no. Profiteroles were great. Will definitely come back next time in London.

My partner and I went here for a valentines day meal a while back and the food was lovely. The service on that night was very good too, the staff even found the time to put bunches of flowers in water for the customers. Very good value for money if you're ordering pasta dishes, but the meat dishes get a bit more expensive. There is a lovely atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and would go out of their way to assist you.

My favourite London restaurant, tucked away just off Baker Street. I go for my birthday (just before Christmas) every year and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed. It is reasonably priced and you get a lot of food for your money. I would recommend the antipasti starter (which is easily enough for two people) and one of their delicious steaks for main. The staff are friendly, attentive and never rush you. The complimentary glass of limoncello at the end of my last visit was a welcome surprise.

Wow, I love this place. If you are a bit older, want a friendly atmosphere, proper old fashioned food with great portions then this is for you. It is not cheap, but the great service, experienced highly capable waiters and a lovely homely atmosphere made it well worth it.

The one thing that you have to watch out for with this place is that they add both a cover charge and a mandatory charge for bread and butter - whether you want it or not! It may seem like a quibble but it strikes me as slightly unfair to diners on a budget. Aside from that, the food is good and the place obviously has some devoted regulars - always a good sign!

This independent, unassuming little Italian gem tucked away on a side street, out of sight from the throng of tourists in this area of London, provided a super welcome departure from the totally awkward single dining experiences I'm becoming accustomed to as a single diner in the UK. There was a warm welcome, a nice table in a prime spot, bread sticks and crudites on the table, and completely non-pushy, sincere, and jovial but exactly precise fine dining service by the whole team present on the floor, which included a gentleman that appeared to be the owner, or at least the manager. Absolutely reasonably priced, especially for this area, and the amount and quality of food exceeded that of much more expensive places I've dined in London. My food was great for sure, but the first class service and warm atmosphere are what would entice me back to this place next time I'm in London, even though I may not be anywhere near its location.

A great find off Baker Street. Very intimate and cosy. The Italian menu has all you would expect from an Italian restaurant, however the best bit of this restaurant is the lovely attentive staff. A new find and I loved it!

After being in London for 4 days and enjoying traditional English fare we decided to try Italian and Anacapri was a great choice. The service was great! The table was full of goodies - olives, carrots, celery, bread, garlic bread - and our entrees were delicious! Spaghetti Ragu, penne with scallops, liguini vongole and tagliatelle al creme with spinach. Yum! The atmosphere made us feel like we were in Little Italy, in London. The Chianti was a pleasant touch too!

My work colleagues and I regularly visit this restaurant! The staff are always friendly and accomodating and the food is delicious. I love all the garlic bread/bread+butter/croudetes they bring to the table while youre waiting for your meal!

We ate here three nights and had desert here another night. Everything we ate was tasty. The food is not fancy but it reminded us of The great food we ate in Italy. staff is great: very friendly ane the service was great.
