The 26 Best Restaurants In Mumbai - Mumbai - The Infatuation

"A Bombay sandwich is held together by green chutney, and without the bright condiment smeared on its insides, a Bombay sandwich isn’t worth its bread. Anand Stall’s chutney is so compelling, we’d pay top rupee for the recipe. At this hectic street kiosk near Mithibai College, students and old loyalists huddle to pay for the sandwich tokens needed to place an order. Everyone ignores the dusty blare of traffic, and the sewer nearby, since their classic Mumbai snack is just that addictive. Ridiculously fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions are thinly sliced to order, then stacked with discs of boiled potato, and chaat masala on buttered, chutney-ed slices of local Wibs bread (the only brand the best sandwichwallas will use). They’ll pack your sandwich in foil, so you can dash to a car or a quiet, less offensive lane off the main street. This must be eaten fresh for max fun." - roshni bajaj sanghvi

They have sandwiches, dosas, sodas and a few types of vadapav available. We tried the Mysore masala dosa and the vadapav as well. The dosa was decent but nothing too special. The vadapav was great, nice and hot with good filling and affordable. The place was pretty crowded but the line moved pretty quick I’d say. Worth a visit for a good vadapav in Mumbai.

Anand stall outside Mithibai College is pure nostalgia served with a burst of mouth-watering flavours. The vada pav, the cheese grill sandwich 😘, and the dosas—no matter which variant—are all absolutely awesome. The only thing that could make the experience better is a bit more crowd control while placing and collecting orders.

Located right outside Mithibai College, this bustling street-side stall is a local favorite, drawing consistent crowds for its diverse range of vegetarian snacks. While it’s famous for its signature Butter Vada Pav, many regulars find that the real stars of the menu are the crispy Dosas, hearty Sandwiches, and flavorful Frankie rolls. While the Vada Pav is a popular choice, the more creative South Indian and grilled options truly stand out as the highlights of the experience.

Anand Stall near Mithibai is a must-visit for sandwich lovers! Their authentic sandwiches and rolls are a treat to devour. The portions are generous, and the food is delicious. Perfect spot for late-night food cravings. One suggestion for the owner: kindly maintain hygiene standards and consider addressing the smelling corner near the shop. A little attention to detail would make this place absolutely perfect. Despite the minor issue, I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying meal. Take a friend along and enjoy the bomb loaded sandwiches!"

Good options for dosa sandwiches and vadapav. We took mysore masala dosa. Which was superb and spicy. Schezwan Vadapav was also good. Exactly outside narsee moonji college. Best place for college students and youngsters. Only thing we didn't like is not habing cleanliness. Tea beside that stall was below average.

Tried Anand Stall near NMIMS College, and it’s a total gem for street food lovers. Located about 2 km from Juhu Beach, it’s a perfect stop if you’re in the area. • Specialties: Known for its huge variety of dosas—crispy, flavorful, and generously filled. The vada pav here is also worth trying, with a few other nearby stalls offering their own twists. • Pricing: Very reasonable, making it a go-to for students and anyone looking for a tasty budget meal. • Vibe: Always buzzing, with quick service and that authentic Mumbai street food charm. Highly recommend trying their dosa—it’s easily one of the best in the city for the price.

Vada Pav (3.5/5): Tried the grilled vada pav - very tasty , on the spicier side which we loved. Very flavourful, however not the best since potatoes were not fully mashed in the vada, and they don’t have sweet chutney (which I personally prefer) Dosa (5/5): Tried the schezwan cheese dosa - too good. Both chutneys (coconut and spicy) are perfect, flavours in the dosa are perfect. Must visit OG place. Always crowded though especially with college students

Anand Vada Pav is truly legendary! The vada is always piping hot, crispy on the outside, and bursting with flavor inside. The chutneys add the perfect punch, and the pav is super soft and fresh. Their fresh juice counter is equally impressive—cool, refreshing, and a perfect match with the spicy vada pav. Fast service, iconic taste, and a must-stop street food experience in Mumbai.
