Anantara Angkor Resort

"From the waterways that flow throughout the grounds (representations of water are the Khmer symbol for woman) to the white sandstone sculpture of a mother and child by the pool, this 37-all-suite hotel, which recently underwent a full takeover and renovation by the Anantara group, has a wonderfully calm ambience in a rapidly growing, and crowded, city. When to go: December through March—the driest but the busiest months. Experience butlers welcome guests with a single white lotus and a foot massage ritual, and stay at their disposal through the remainder of their stay."

I cannot speak highly enough of Anantara. We were greeted with such warmth by the staff, which included a welcome gift, welcome drink, ceremonial and complimentary foot scrub, and orientation to the property. The resort is luxurious and tranquil, and our room was well styled, stocked, comfortable and roomy. They left little gifts for us each day of our stay, which was a nice touch. My mom and I went for spa treatments, and they were very friendly, professional, and accommodating. We felt so pampered and relaxed. The staff at the restaurant were very attentive and we especially enjoyed the breakfast options. Finally, we needed late check out on our last day and they were very accommodating. There was not one staff member who was anything but above and beyond gracious, special shout outs to Mouyee, the bar tender, and the spa staff. Highly recommend Anantara.

Anantara Angkor Resort, Cambodia I had a truly wonderful stay at Anantara Angkor. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and welcoming. I was greeted with a refreshing Cambodian welcome drink, which was the perfect way to begin the experience. One thing I really appreciated was the flexibility — they allowed me an early check-in and late check-out without any extra fees, which made my stay even more comfortable. The Cambodian food at the resort was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The place itself is beautiful and calm, offering a truly relaxing stay. It’s the perfect escape after a long day exploring the temples of Angkor. Overall, the service, hospitality, peaceful atmosphere, and local charm made this an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Anantara Angkor to anyone visiting Siem Reap!

Amazing stay at Anantara Angkor resort. From the booking and ongoing communication, nothing was ever too much for the Anantara team. The level of customer service has been excellent with every member of the team going above and beyond. The boutique resort ensures that we all felt very much at home. The Yin Yang package was just wonderful, facilities excellent, F&B offerings excellent. Highly recommended availing of the VIP visa service. A very special thank you to Yuki and the team for making our very special trip such a memorable one. We can’t wait to return. Thank you.

We had an excellent holiday in Cambodia despite losing a bag for 3 days. This was because of the people at the hotel who are nice, kind & very helpful. In addition the amenities provided by the hotel were good. It is an experience not to be missed! We loved tge people & place. The only thing for 1st timers to Cambodia, we were a bit surprised that US dollars were used most of the time. So do bring small change, which will make it easier.

We had the most wonderful stay in the family suite and guided tours booked through hotel to Angkor Wat, outlying temples and Kulen Mountain. The hotel staff were absolutely amazing with personalised service and attention to every detail. The restaurant was lovely. Our tour guide was so knowledgable and managed to keep the kids (10 and 12) entertained and engaged over 4 days. If travelling to Siem Reap, I would definitely recommended Anantara Angkor Resort.

Lovely hotel, super friendly and polite staff, high quality food. Perfect base for visiting the ancient temples as only 15 minutes away and just 10 minutes from all the restaurants and markets in Siem Reap. Siem Reap itself appears very clean and organized, very friendly and kind people, wide range of cuisines and very good value. We loved our visit.

It’s storytime!! The concierge service at Anantara Angkor was 10 out of 10! I haven’t felt this special and cared for and I REALLY really needed it!! It was a short trip that I was originally calling a mini holiday to see Angkor Wat (bucket list), but it had become more than that. It had become a much needed personal spiritual recharge after a personal loss a few days prior. I had come to pray and soak up the incredible creator’s energy in this place. While doing so I tried not to let my pain shine through and so I smile and give the kindness I hope for but don’t also expect in return. To my utter delight I was given back kindness and care 100x. From the moment I met my guest service agent, Mouyee, at the airport I felt like the center of the universe. What a warm, genuine smile and disposition this lovely lady radiated. She was incredibly attentive to the details of all my notes and nut allergies and wishes on a whim — all were perfectly addressed. The ride home was a lovely welcome immersion rich with information that only enhanced my trip and prepared me for my sunrise visit to Angkor Wat the next morning. The Angkor Wat guide that the hotel provided was the spiritual guide I didn’t know I needed. His depth of knowledge about Angkor Wat was top tier but his ability to appease my curiosity about Buddhism was next level. But the conversation was bigger than religion, it was about the human condition, universal truths, feeding one’s soul and seeing and seizing one’s own power. I was so full with many sparks that I extracted from the hours of conversations and from the inspiring history of this wonder of the world. So grateful for that experience. ||Each moment in the hotel was complete luxury and top notch service. I randomly asked if they had rose apples that I could pack as snacks. It wasn’t on the menu, but by afternoon lunch the staff had gone out and obtained some for me! I had the best croissants I’ve eaten outside of Paris at breakfast (PS - a bit of Cambodia’s historical french influence peaking through). One evening I was so tired that I slept through dinner and the next morning multiple staff members noted that they hadn't seen me and asked me if all was ok. While at the hotel bar one evening the guest service team surprised me with a cute mini cake and chocolates. They would have left it in my room during turndown but I forgot to turn off the DND light. How sweet?! Speaking of the bar, the bartender was a mixologist— every cocktail was delicious, nuanced and well balanced. The conversation was filled with humor (I needed a laugh) and recommendations to further personalize my stay in short time I had. And my spa massage… there was magic in my masseuse’s fingers. I am a picky client (pressure must be just right and please avoid my tickle trigger points) , but she nailed it. My muscles are still grateful. ||As a business professional I travel a lot. Service in Asia is far better that my native US and in Europe — and I have stayed at the Waldorf to The W to the Martinez Cannes and everything in between. Honestly the Anantara collection staff is among the best. But this stay in Cambodia was the best of the best. And as a human who uses travel as a means of healing and personal growth, this was a badly needed experience and escape. Thank you Mouyee and Team for the incredible service, care and unconscious compassion. I needed this!||Story time over.
