Anantara Hua Hin Resort

"Two-and-a-half hours south of Bangkok, the Anantara Hua Hin Resort, set in a sleepy seaside town once frequented by Thai royals as their summer playground, still looks the regal part. Rooms have hand-crafted wooden armoires, silk accents, and the occasional private terrace that overlooks either the tropical gardens or the Gulf of Thailand. The roughly 14-acre garden dreamt up by architect and landscape designer Bill Bensley is designed to resemble an ancient Thai village, and water features like lagoons and lotus ponds fill the property. There are plenty of restaurants and lounges to choose from, too: Readers recommend Rim Nam for Thai and fusion cuisines, and Issara Café for leisurely breakfasts; for a dining experience that's a little less conventional, there's Spice Spoons, to school you in the art of perfectly balanced curries." - Betsy Blumenthal

Anantara Hua Hin Resort & Spa (Hua-Hin, Thailand) Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Before a few years ago, Hua Hin was rather out of the way for international travelers, and was best reached by train or coach. Now four flights leave Bangkok each day for the Hua Hin airport. Survive the slightly claustrophobic journey to the heart of the northern Malay Peninsula and you’ll soon find yourself at Anantara Hua Hin, a 187-room spa resort from the local Thai mini-chain." - Tablet Hotels

Anantara Hua Hin is a charming, Thai inspired resort with lush tropical, immaculately kept gardens along a quiet stretch of beach, offering everything expected from a 5 star resort. It is about 4km outside of Hua Hin town, so may not be practical if you want to be based in the thick of it, but they do offer a complimentary shuttle bus to town. The rooms were beautiful and clean and well appointed, with all amenities you would need. We had a beach front balcony room, which was perfect (room # 126). Amazing views of the beach-with an awesome balcony. The grounds were well kept and neat. Only downside was that they were doing some maintenance/building and there was a bit of noise poolside, but I guess maintenance needs to take place at some point. The breakfast offerings were extensive and really good, and the service was wonderful - this was overall during our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to our needs (especially at the pool with drink service). We did have an evening meal at Sea Fire Salt restaurant, and we did have a massage at the Spa, both of which were great. Overall, we would highly recommend Anantara Hua Hin, and we will definitely return. Its a good option if you are looking for a romantic escape or a family holiday.

We stayed at Anantara Hua Hin recently and overall had a wonderful experience. Our room was newly renovated with a relaxing seaview. The lobby and lounge staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Special mention to Ray, Miwz, Ice and Atom — they were the highlight of our guest experience.||Ray in particular went above and beyond: he personally arranged a transfer for us to a nearby non-affiliated hotel, even taking the extra step to call ahead and check that our room there was ready. Another evening, when my son was running a fever, I called guest service to ask for a thermometer. The hotel didn’t have one available, but the staff immediately arranged for someone to purchase one from the nearby 7/11 and deliver it to our room (of course we reimbursed them).||We signed up for the Spice Spoon cooking class and Muay Thai class. Both classes were an experience and allow us to immerse in their local cultures. Highly recommended. Thanks Chef Somkiat and Coach Pooh for the experience. ||The downside for the trip is the lobby is currently under renovation, and the check-in counter has been shifted into the Kasara Lounge, which takes away from the usual Club exclusiveness. |The current kids club is also a temporary arrangement which held in a connecting room, it doesn’t seem to have much activity as the space is limited. ||Overall, despite some inconveniences, the service and the renovated room more than made up for it. The seaviews are beautiful, and the genuine care shown by the staff made our stay memorable. We’ll definitely be happy to return once the works are completed.

My wife and I had a great 4 day stay at Anantara. From the welcome drink upon arriving to the mosquito repellent burn on the balcony. You can tell they thought everything thru to provide an enjoyable and relaxing experience. The rooms are clean, airy, well decorated and big. The property is lush with tropical trees everywhere. The food is reasonably priced. The breakfast was legit 😋 and the view at the restaurant on the beach was majestic. The staff were genuine and always willing to help. We will be coming back in the future for sure. If there was one thing I would hope to be updated, it would be the gym.

I've stayed here a couple of times now and will definitely be back. Although it doesn't have the best beach, it's easy to get to from Bangkok (2.5 hour drive - you can arrange a pick-up from the airport for about £60-80). Plus, it's very affordable. The staff are always lovely and the rooms beautiful. I would recommend getting one with a sea view though. The newly renovated Sea Fire Salt is located on the beach front and has some good options for lunch and dinner. If you're looking for a quick getaway from Bangkok and don't want to fly I would definitely recommend.

My stay at this hotel was great! The breakfast was yummy, and the staff were all super nice and friendly. They were always smiling. The room was very clean, and I loved the bathroom and the bed. There were lots of power outlets, and a desk and sofa for working or chilling. The pool was nice, with different sections for kids, a regular part (1.4 m deep), and a deeper area (over 2 m). The pool bar made great drinks. Everything was perfect! I really want to say again how nice all the staff were. They were the best part of the trip.

The resort is not near the town center but has many facilities such that you don’t need to go out. It has 2 lovely swimming pools. The lagoon pool is for adults only and is set in a tranquil environment. There are a few restaurants; we love the one that is right on the beachfront. The beach is short has a lot of broken shells, which is not ideal to walk on. Service is excellent. Overall, we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We had a pleasant 3D2N stay at Anantara Hua Hin right before its reopening! By mid-October, most of the facilities are ready, despite some construction sound can be heard from time to time at the pool. We are satisfied with our newly-renovated room and the perks of enjoying some brand new chairs, tables, hammocks. The greenery in the garden is spectacular - a perfect place to spend time at.

My first time here and it is quickly becoming my favorite choice in hua hin. Me and my family spend two nights in Club Anantara Seaview Suite. The view was just amazing, our balcony has panoramic view of the sea. Room is newly renovated, superb functional and clean. Kids club is just newly opened, our kids spend a whole day, so much fun. I personally love the tropical vibe at the pool area. Highly recommend for dining at Sea Fire Salt restaurant. Food is great plus a sea-view. Special highlight to a staff at the restaurant Khun Na, Khun High, Khun Sanit and Khun Book, they are all super friendly. Definitely comeback
