We had an amazing stay here, beautiful quiet beach. Great singing Bird Lounge and treetop dining experience ( our staff art and Emma) were superb. All the staff and the experience from the moment you walk in till you check out makes you feel so pampered

Anantara is a wonderful resort that offers great fun for families in an idyllic location. We visited Anantara with our family and had the 4 bedroom villa which was self sufficient and offered all the perks and comfort that we could ask for. The pool within the villa is huge and each of the bedrooms is comfortable and has all the amenities. ||The pricing at the resort is reasonable and so we made use of several activities like Spa, motorbike rental and Muay Thai classes. We also got really lucky as they have an Indian chef on staff and it really made the stay comfortable for our parents as they were able to get food to their liking. The breakfast spread is expansive and the staff tries to make sure everyone gets full attention and care. ||The beach is a little windy and so we managed to do just a little kayaking but otherwise it is well maintained. I think the villa experience really enhanced our stay but overall with the size of the resort, I was still impressed by the attention that the resort head, staff and every one at the front desk paid to our every need.

When we first checked into the pool suite, we were a bit disappointed with the size of the room as it appears much larger in online pictures. Basically the actually room is TINY as most of the square footage was the outdoor plunge pool and deck area. There is also no view in such room types. Then 5 mins later my husband discovered the toilet is clogged and then we contacted the reception immediately to ask to change rooms… we saw the pool access room (bigger but no privacy and no view) and then the only other option we had was the two bedroom sea view villa during our dates…. Once you see the amazing view and space in this villa, it’s basically impossible to go back to stay in a much smaller room with zero view or privacy… so we decided to splurge on the two bedroom sea view villa just for the two of us… We received a small discount for the upgrade but we still ended up paying 5x the original price of the pool suite but you do get what you paid for as this villa came with free nonalcoholic mini bar, daily afternoon tea, two free massages in the villa per person, one free in-villa BBQ and 24 hour on-call service. We could also have had free Muay Thai, yoga or PT sessions if we wanted but we didn’t end up requesting any of this. At first we thought we were paying too much even after the discount cos there were only two of us but in the end we felt it was worth it cos the staff really went out of their way to make us feel pampered and taken care of. Despite the higher price tags of this resort and the higher category of rooms, you do get what you pay for. If we had stayed in the regular room or the pool suite, our experience would have been totally different and probably not good at all as we are the type who just wants to relax in the room and go to the gym during our vacation. I cannot imagine now how our experience would have been if we had stayed in the pool suite. So my recommendation for this resort is that get a sea view villa, go to the Tree Top restaurant and request for a high table with view. You will get what you pay for!

I rarely post reviews, but let me make this the exception to the rule. Small scale resort with highly personalised services. Great rooms, good food. Can recommend! The staff at Anantara really go out of their way to accommodate your needs both within as well as outside of the resort (!) and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. For context, yes this is true five star. The property also has a Condé Nast Traveller / Concierge recommendation.

Just about 5 starts but a really lovely trip overall. Excellent location at its own little stretch of beach. Beautiful and serene lobby area, lovely foliage throughout the extensive property. The main infinity pool is excellent and a lovely place to hang out. As are the beach restaurants and bars, which have a calm vibe overall. A decent number of families, which makes things nice and lively. Breakfast superb. Service really great. Gym excellent. Small deductions for our dark room (not sure why they were to stingy with windows) and because the sea was “closed” 3 out of our 5 days because a jellyfish sighting.

Booked a pool suite with GHA platinum status, with prior knowledge during booking that i was entitled to upgrade upon availability, to Pool Access Room. However during check in, I was informed that the highest category of upgrade was to the pool suite from a garden suite, so i was unable to be offered further upgrades as i have already booked the same category. Not a major issue but communication could have been better. Overall stay was ok. Staff were friendly and polite throughout the resort areas including front desk, dining restaurant, housekeeping team. The resort and room were clean and housekeeping was great. Pool cleaning was done once during my stay of 4nights. On request buggy service was available throughout the resort, which was a very nice touch to get around the resort considering the hot weather. Food in the restaurant were a hit or miss, some were ok but some not. For eg, in room dining, I ordered crispy Buffalo wings, it came cold and certainly not crispy and soaked in oil. Breakfast was attentive and sufficient spread. The Bed was not the best for 5* resort, pillows were flat and uncomfortable to sleep on. The old shower heads need a change too. The installed bidet fell out of the installation during end of our stay. Toilet paper could be of a better quality too.. Overall a pleasant stay, but can be better considering that the resort is 5* but a little lacking comparing to other brands.

Beautiful well thought of resort and seasoned team. It was raining so I didn’t want go back to get my cardigan. The team gave a warm fresh towel as we were having dinner at one of the international restaurants they had near the beach, the evening was relaxing and quiet felt relaxed while enjoying our dinner. Thank you for the warm hospitality ka

A very good hotel, with excellent service and very helpful staff. The rooms with private pools are very cosy. The large infinity pool is very suggestive. Kayaks are available for a tour around the small neighbouring island. The breakfast buffet is excellent and each day there are a few variations of products. Next to the hotel there are small shops, restaurants and massage salons where you can discover a little more of the island.
