Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas

We had an absolutely amazing stay. Fantastic service, beautiful gardens, clean rooms. Upon arrival we received a welcome cocktail and the room had a beautiful welcome display on the bed with a free coconut mango cake. There is a lovely village walking distance from the resort, so you can get lots of different food options. The beach is beautiful and has a stunning view of the sunrise. The staff went above and beyond to find me a firm memory foam pillow on request. I loved the spa treatment- so relaxing!The only negatives was that the pool temperature in the main pool and villa were both freezing. There were also quite a few mosquitoes around, but the resort provides complimentary mosquito repellent and electric mosquito repellents. The beach is not very safe for swimming due to a strong undercurrent. Overall, 5 star experience and we would love to come back!

This is one of the loveliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Such a great experience all round - we were met at the airport, taken to a little reception area to wait for our boat and given drinks and cold towels, fun speedboat ride to the hotel then a warm greeting by the staff who could not have been kinder or more attentive the whole time we were there. The room was just gorgeous - right on the beach but with a lovely front garden and plunge pool with a cabana. It was beautifully cleaned every day with the “towel art” becoming more spectacular as the days went on! The food at this hotel is really excellent - we had breakfast every day, so much choice both from the help yourself bit and the a la carte menu and not hurried at all. Lunch and dinner also excellent, obviously more expensive than the places in the village but very generous portions and beautifully presented. I could go on and on… just excellent all round!

We loved our experience! The ocean villa room was gorgeous and felt very private. The staff were all extremely courteous and looked after our every need—even ones we didn't think to ask about! Tua was an incredible host and we had so much fun talking to her every day. Our Dining by Design experience was beautiful even though the weather didn't cooperate (we had dinner under the cabana by our villa). It included SO much food and lots of personal touches from Tua. The spa was luxurious and included a beautiful platform for morning yoga. The food was tasty (by resort standards) and included lots of variety. Our arrival and departure were very well coordinated between Ko Phangan and Ko Samui, and they were as relaxing as they could possibly be. We had the most wonderful honeymoon here, and we'd love to return if the opportunity ever arises!

This was our fourth visit to the Rasananda, with our first visit being ten years ago and our previous visit last year. The resort looks much the same and has been very well maintained in all areas. The gardens and lagoons are just as stunning as they always were and it is situated on a very beautiful and peaceful location with a very clean beach. But for us, what really makes this resort stand out is the staff, some of whom we have known since our first visit all those years ago. All staff members are very courteous and friendly and all guests are now assigned a villa host who are on hand to provide a very personal level of service. The food at the resort is also top quality and well worth trying, particularly as some of the places in the village are a bit hit and miss. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Rasananda, which for us is a very special place and one we hope to return to again next year. It really is a true paradise.||||We would particularly like to praise our villa host Nonnie, who is a real star, and Tua who is so kind and helpful. The staff in the restaurants and bar areas were also great, including Ple, Simon, Tarn, Sai, Aom, James, Pat, Beer, Por, Bim, King, and Nadia. They were all so friendly and nice to talk to. Many thanks also to Bass and the boys on the beach, and Tik our housekeeper. ||

Our stay at Anantara Rasananda was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by a magical atmosphere of tranquility and relaxation. The location is breathtaking, the rooms are stunning, and the service is truly top-notch. We want to give a special shoutout to Tua, who made our stay absolutely perfect! She took care of every little detail, was always available, kind, and welcoming, and made us feel like the most important guests at the resort. Thanks to her, our honeymoon was unforgettable! A huge thank you to the amazing team at Anantara Rasananda – we can’t wait to come back!

Hotel was under maintenance, Beds are not convenient, ocean beach front villa room smells from mold. Coffee breakfast below average food is not great. Did not let us use water sports equipment in claim ocean is dangerous yet they would let you go swim and drown or get stang by box jelly fish. Gym is small with no activities. Hotel is very remote from center we drove everyday few hours to get to some site seeing around the island No return for the high price paid was more of a disappointment. I think Hotel was good long time ago but did not keep the standard for modern luxury hotel.

And oldie, but a goodie. Beautiful beach location, gorgeous grounds and greenery. Big rooms, nice refreshing plunge pools. The service is so personable it really makes you feel very special, this is what makes this hotel so unique. breakfast was tasty, great Thai options and high quality. What's not so great ... The beds are rock hard and not conducive to a relaxing holiday experience. The rooms themselves are in need of a soft refurb and are tired. New curtains, blinds, furniture etc. The shower looks outside, but it's covered with a roll down blind ... Why? Hopefully this property gets the upgrade it deserves as it is truly relaxing. Not child friendly, for couples and friends.
