On the Grid : Restaurant Anarki

"Don’t let the name of this restaurant mislead you. They are in total control in every aspect of the concept in this french wine bistro - all the way from the delicious food, to the wine and the cosy atmosphere. The tables are closely placed side by side, which in the dim light and with the amazing acoustics this just adds to the intimate experience. And when you look down, you will notice that the plates doesn’t look the same. That’s because they handpick the plates themselves in different flea markets around the country to bring you that extra feel of the danish ‘hygge’. Fact: They are Danish AND Nordic champions in the art of sommeliers." - Made in Wonderland

"A stone’s throw from Peblinge Sø Lake sits this unfussy, proudly run neighbourhood restaurant, whose name, ‘anarchy’, is a nod to its ethos. The regularly evolving menu of sharing plates embraces produce, techniques and seasonings from around the world, taking good quality ingredients and crafting them into bold, rustic dishes that burst with flavour. This mindset extends to the drinks too, with both the wines and the spirits originating from far-flung destinations and providing plenty of interest. Prices are kept reasonable which may, in part, help to explain the lively atmosphere." - Michelin Inspector

Pros: As a Michelin-recommended restaurant, the food was surprisingly impressive! I didn’t try too many dishes, but every single one blew me away. The bread was perfect, I even turned it into an open-faced sandwich, though it might not have been the most professional move. Compared to other restaurants, this is one I’d definitely want to visit again! Btw, dessert was amazing as well. Cons: Abit walking distance from the city center

Flavors were great, intense and well balanced all at once. Impressive wine list and I liked the underground vibe. However, out of every tasting menu I’ve done in Copenhagen, this has the smallest portion size by a large margin. Some “shareable” dishes were laughably small even for one person. For over 1.000dkk we left still hungry, unacceptable in my opinion. Our server was quiet and unfriendly, hardly explaining the dishes. Other servers seemed great so I think it was just him. I’d told them we were celebrating an anniversary and they sat us in a small corner by the glasses / cutlery, servers were constantly grabbing things over our heads. It’s a cramped space. Overall I will not be coming back, which is too bad as the chef here is definitely top-notch.

We didn’t enjoy the meal here, we were surprised at the poor level of execution and flavors. Service was very friendly however when the restaurant got busy around 1930 we didn’t see our server for 15-20 minutes. I get they are going for a rustic vibe but dirty plates and torn seat cushions are too much for a restaurant at this price. Food was bland all around including their signature waffle with ham. The “prime rib” dish was 50% inedible gristle. Roasted Vegetable dish was so undercooked it was closer to raw than roasted. Smoked fish on bread was the only dish we could recommend.

Interior is cozy, food is simple but incredibly tasty (waffles with truffle sauce! and more), service was top class with positive attidute and knowledge. The dishes are small so you don't overeat which is positive for me. Coctails are very, very good. Well deserved Bib gourmand. I hope you don't mind people close to you, I don't!

Really nice and cozy restaurant. The menu is a surprise🎁 the dishes are selected by the chef and it changes every single day. The burrata and the spaghetti were delicious!🍝. Make sure you book a table as the place is small. You could also have the opportunity to have a glass of wine outside as there are some tables available

Google
Disappointed, coming on Sunday the did their tasting menu. All I can say is that the dishes weren't that complicated. And the presentation of dishes was quite lacking for a place that has/d a michelin star. Definitely not worth the price.

The food was good, but unfortunately quite overshadowed by the poor level of service. Even if full on a Saturday, for a fairly small restaurant (or any really) you wouldn't expect to have to wait over 40 minutes in between each course. The portions were also very small, which I can understand as part of the concept, but by the time the food arrived we just didn't feel like it made sense the wait to order more, so we left a little disappointed.

Yelp
Very nice food, Danish ingredients prepared in a French-ish style. Their "most popular" dish, perhaps the most Danish, was new potatoes with mussels and salted fish, a nice blend of flavors. Family menu left us all very full, and covered a good spread of different items. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Admittedly more of a French bent than I would have liked, especially in the way the sauces blend flavors, but that's what my dad (who picked the restaurant, from the French Michelin guide) likes.

Yelp
Nice place. The 7 course menu was way too much food for me, but everything tastes so good you can't help yourself! Some of us didn't like the raw fish, and the prices are steep, so it's definitely not super approachable for everyone. But good for a special occasion.

Yelp
Sofisticated and homely at the same time. Yes it is possible! One could eat here every day if they change the menu more often.

Yelp
Wonderful food and atmosphere. We are def coming back! We had the family dinner menu with 5 courses for a reasonable price. They nailed every single dish. We were really impressed! Bravo!
