As you will have guessed, it's a Japanese eatery, where you take your seat at a counter to enjoy traditional cuisine. There is no messing around when it comes to the nigiri, California rolls, sashimi, maki, tempura and gyoza, prepared with top-notch ingredients, some of excellent quality, such as the Wagyu beef or the otoro tuna belly. Anata is now our favorite spot in Megève! Everything was unbelievably delicious — the quality of the fish is incredible, the soufflé was just perfect, and the strawberry with dill pairing really impressed us. We ordered the big tasting sets and honestly recommend (!) going for the full experience — trust us, every bite is perfect. It’s all so well-balanced and top quality that you feel amazing afterwards — no heaviness at all. The chefs are so attentive, the service is quick, and the attention to detail is amazing. The special sauces and thoughtful touches made it truly unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back!

Incredible omakase menu- every course had flavors to delight. I loved every dish so much I couldn’t pick a favorite. Every dish was plated simply yet elegantly and the sauces, garnishes, and herbs were *chefs kiss*! The chefs and staff were beyond wonderful. Very kind, polite, and attentive. You’ll sit at an intimate bar with about 14 seats and watch as food is prepped. Would go here again in a heartbeat! Will recommend it to anyone visiting Megève! Pictures don’t even do it justice!

The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and created a relaxed yet professional atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and thoroughly taken care of. The restaurant’s location is another standout feature: a stylish, modern design that reflects the elegance of Japanese culture, paired with stunning views of Megève’s picturesque surroundings. Restaurant Anata is a must-visit for lovers of Japanese cuisine and a place that left us completely impressed with its quality and hospitality. We will definitely be back!

I dined at the charming Japanese restaurant ANATA, which boasts a unique concept of having two talented chefs, Yohan Delhommeau and Keiyi Ishii, at the helm. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for a delightful dining experience. The menu featured a variety of traditional Japanese dishes with a modern twist, and each dish was expertly prepared by one of the two chefs. The attention to detail in both presentation and flavors was truly outstanding. The service was impeccable, with the staff knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our needs throughout the meal. Overall, dining at this Japanese restaurant with two talented chefs was a memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for exquisite Japanese cuisine.

Overall would recommend the restaurant. We ordered omakase menu which was really good, especially the dessert - genmaicha soufflé was 100% our favourite course and we even asked for an extra one off the menu but sadly it was all finished (definitely not complaining here!). Food was very good but at the price point of 200 ish eur, I would expect to have individual pieces of nigiri individually prepared in front of you and served as opposed to all pieces arriving at once a’la bento style. Serving sake in wine glasses bit of a faux pas but something that can be easily fixed for next time. The place definitely has a potential but I think they need to either reduce prices and continue with current menu (it’s impossible to deliver the top class omakase style sushi with 1 sushi master and as many as 15 guests at a time) or keep prices and take fewer customers in one seatings to ensure sushi is served the right way given the price tag . Either one, one of the highlights of Megeve but I think couple of things to improve so 4 stars instead of 5!
