One of the best meals we have ever had start to finish, and great experience including five star service and lovely ambience. We started with the lobster appetizer and poke tuna which were both outstanding. For our main courses we had the black cod and roast chicken, again both absolutely delicious. Finished the meal with the chocolate mouse and coconut ice cream. A must visit restaurant when you visit Mexico City.

Anatol offers a refined dining experience that combines innovative cuisine with exceptional service in a sophisticated setting. Whether you're a local resident or visiting Mexico City, it's a destination worth considering for a memorable meal.

I got food poisoning here which if it weren't for that I would have given this five stars across the board. The environment is basically a Williams and Sonoma catalog. It is connected to a hotel upstairs I believe so the decor is bougie. The food as you can see is impeccably garnished and presented. I thought that the taste however didn't quite match the high caliber of the presentation. I think the absolute best dish surprisingly was the carrot cake with coconut ice cream. They gave it to us for free since it was our birthday. The service the entire dinner was top notch About 7 hours after I got back home I woke up with a medium mild stomach ache. Which turned into a 48-hour food poisoning episode. It wasn't horrible but it felt like a light version of seafood poisoning I've had in the past. The most likely culprit would probably have been the fish carpaccio. I know that these things just sometimes happen with seafood.

INCREDIBLE Worth every peso. The staffs were so welcoming and professional. They all spoke English and was kind to explain the menu in detail and answer my questions. Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The interior was gorgeous. We went around 3pm for late brunch and there was a family with a baby and a two other couples. There is also seating outside. Would love to come back for breakfast or a nice romantic dinner again! FYI It is at the first floor of a very nice hotel.

Had afternoon tea here. Good desserts, all three were good, the carrot cake was a pleasant surprise and the apple tart was very interesting. The dried fruit and carrot crisps were pretty nice.

Expensive Restaurant. The Chef makes and effort to change menus periodically. small quiet place great to talk. Good Cocktail selection. Great desserts and very friendly staff. Great for birthday celebrations if you want to talk and have meaning conversations. Not a party spot. Take your date there if you want to show off

A lovely little restaurant in the Polanco neighbourhood. Came here for a quick lunch and everything was exquisite. Service was on point. The spinach ravioli with lemon cream sauce was amazing and the drinks were delicious! Can't wait to come back and try other dishes!

Excellent experience. The Margarita was served with an unexpectedly but delightful salty foam, the NY steak served with marrow. The Apple dessert was delightful as well. I very much enjoyed the music selection as well, which included Phoenix, Beck and Telepopmusik.

Yelp
A little disappointed by the caliber of cooking at anatol. This review highlights the experiences I had with the room service and breakfast dine in option as I recently stayed at the hotel. The ambiance and cleanliness receive high marks creating a delicate between cozy, but not too small and chic. The service is also good, the waiters are trying hard and their efforts seem genuine. However, I think the areas where the restaurant is lacking is the food, presentation was good but the flavor profiles for a five star hotel restaurant were not up to snuff. Said differently I was not impressed by the food. Furthermore, when I ordered room service I was awe struck that despite ordering a significant amount of food, a rollaway table was not provided upon entry. This to me was a significant gaffe. Out of all the dishes I had the best relative to each other was the chilaquiles which was good but lacked the punch I was expecting and the French Toast which had an interesting combination of flavors but had far too much cheese stuffing. It was far too heavy and I couldn't even finish half of it.

Yelp
The ambiance and decor of Anatol is beautiful. I felt like I walked into a model room. The service was great. The hostess and waiter spoke English so that may be a plus for you. They also have english menus which is a nice plus. I ordered the bone marrow flatbread, black bass, and house special roasted chicken. I was impressed with the bone marrow flatbread. It sounds simple but it was so delicious. Make sure to eat it while it's hot! The black bass went really well with the rice and green beans. All together, it was a nice balance. I was a bit disappointed with the roasted chicken. It was a house special and recommended by a worker but tasted way to salty for me. I would not order the chicken and go with something else.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Waiters speak English. If that's a plus for you, enjoy. The Black Bass was excellent. I also had a glass of an excellent Mexican Chardonnay. The desert menu is limited and though usually a dessert eater, I did not have any. The atmosphere is casual and refined relaxing.

Yelp
Had Xmas lunch here. We were the first seated when they opened and for awhile we were concerned in being the only ones there. However, within 30 minutes the place was packed and lively. Beautiful decor and ambiance. Possibly romantic for some. Although quite formal and professional staff, it came off as "dressy casual" and homey. Welcomed. Service was outstanding. The foamy (sea salt) margaritas are not to be missed. Food had great presentations (French inspiration? Although the website cites Italian!). I cannot remember what everyone ate (and bad note taking). We did share some small plates - all well presented and tasty. The zucchini blossoms reminded us of Florence. I had the roasted chicken - a change from all the seafood and Mexican fare - that was tasty and enough for 2. The girls went vegetarian friendly (beet salad and others). We split a fabulous dessert. Damages for 3 was USD135 with tip. Would rank this as one of our best meals in Mexico City. Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Value 4/5 Décor 4/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Noise 4/5 (almost quiet)

Yelp
Okay, wow. Anatol was a refined and gorgeous take on classic Mexican dishes in a modern setting. The moment you step into the dining room, you get the sense a special meal awaits and the food did not disappoint. For appetizers we ordered the Crab Esquites, Shrimp & Octopus Ceviche, and Heirloom Tomato Salad. Everything was great although the food didn't really shine until the entrees arrived. We ordered the Beef Tongue, New York Steak, and Roasted Chicken and everything was simply delicious. The Steak is a don't miss for sure, prepared with an incredible mixture of caramelized onion and bone marrow on the side, and over a bed of spinach and mashed potatoes. All of the desserts we had were fantastic as well. Anatol is definitely a bit on the pricey side but it was clearly a destination for an upscale, celebratory dinner and the food really matched the ambiance.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed a great dinner in a very quiet setting amongst the lively surrounding restaurants in the Polanco area of Mexico City. The wait staff was extremely attentive and thorough. The food quality was amazing. The flatbreads as well as the salads showed creativity for flavors while not going overboard as some other restaurants we have experienced. The value overall was great and this is a great escape for a quiet dining experience.

Yelp
DO NOT leave without having their Margarita here. It is best one I have ever had. Foamy and subtle - reminds me of the ocean. It was an incredible delight. There are no words to describe the delicious meal and service we had here. From the zucchini blossom stuffed with goat cheese and gently battered for the most flaky and delicious pallet opener to the beet salad and avocado pizette and the burger and sandwiches we had- you won't go wrong with anything here. We had the sea bass, steak and bone marrow as well as their chicken dishes and were all explosions of flavors. Now let's talk about dessert- we had seasonal pumpkin pie and the carrot cake- UNBELIEVABLE! Enjoy this wonderful place! I will be back!

Yelp
This was our first time in Mexico City, and our concierge recommended this place for dinner. He made reservations and off we went. The restaurant has a romantic and quiet ambiance. The servers were very friendly, and we were made to feel welcome from the beginning. As a vegetarian, I ordered the following: - Caramelized Broccoli: Not a fan. This was a bit bland for me. - Preserved Cherry Tomato Flatbread: Delicious. - Rosemary Fries: Must have....the fries were perfectly flavored and so delicious. - Roasted Beets: Amazing. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meat entrees, and loved the whole experience. Overall, I highly recommend this place. I wish they had more vegetarian options, but nonetheless, a great dining experience.

Yelp
We stayed at the JW Marriott in Polanco for a wedding. The last time I had been to Mexico City, I had dinner at the other restuarant in Las Alcobas, Dulce Patria, which is another culinary gem. This time we decided to try Anatol. We got a reservation at the beginning of dinner service, so there weren't that many tables full. We ordered a variety of drinks (we went with another couple) and the drinks were fantastic. The service was exceptional, as well as the ambiance. The food we ordered was delicious, a couple of appetizers, some Mac and cheese, and fried cauliflower. Our main dish was a flatbread with pepperoni and honey- incredibly good. We also ordered a corn beef hash sandwich, which was also great. Overall, this little gem in the boutique hotel Las Alcobas is a must!

Yelp
First time in Mexico City and while I had read a lot buzz about Anatol I wasn't expecting it to be THIS good. Service was absolutely impeccable and while I will say that my bilingual skills helped, I felt that I would have had a similar experience had I not known the language. Food wise: freaking impeccable. Highlights include the burrata cheese crostini, their main chicken dish (this was so clean and simple), their octopus dish, and the beef tartare. But again, there was absolutely nothing that I didn't enjoy. I had the bread pudding for dessert and it was so rich and savory! I cannot recommend this place enough.

Yelp
We love Anatol. Service and the atmosphere is sensational. Make sure and try the burrata with eggplant and the squash blossoms are both delicious. They have a wonderful cocktail list and their margaritas are superb. Every dish is like a work of art.

Yelp
Anatol is something to ride home about..a hidden gem in Mexico City.. A friend of mine and I stumbled upon it on a recent trip and boy were we pleasantly surprised. While we originally stopped for a quick app, we decided to fully commit and cancel our reservations elsewhere. From the first to the last course, every dish was mind-blowing. The service and the food are excellent. Cant wait to give it a second go around..

Yelp
Stayed in the hotel above this restaurant and on the first night i had the chichen soup; was blown away. Easily the best soup of my life. Add the bread and hummus that comes with and its heaven. On another occasion i had the Chilaquiles and again, wow. Can't go wrong here.

Yelp
Anatol had me from hello. It is a beautiful restaurant in a very nice part of town in DF. Most importantly, the food was delicious! From the cocktail drinks to the appetizers to the main courses, you just can't go wrong ordering anything from the menu. Very classy decor and very professional staff. The presentation of everything brought out to the table whetted my appetite. You can tell they take pride in what they do and want to ensure their customers feel special. I absolutely love how they have a little stool to put your purse on so that it's not on the floor. Super cute. I will definitely return and highly recommend this place to those who have never been to Polanco.

Yelp
Love this restaurant. Food is top notch. The ribeye comes with and extra plate of huge bone marrow that is cooked with caramelized onions....the rubens sandwich is also amazing. My only concern is the place is nos so cozy, to much light and tables dont feel so private. My respect to the Chef

Lee M.

Yelp
I LOVED this place. Unlike the blaring music and snooty ambiance of its neighboring restaurants, this spot is quiet, serene, and the food is excellent. The entire staff is so welcoming and wonderful. The chicken was also delicious!

Yelp
Espectacular lugar.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in the city! The food is superb, the menu innovative and the staff excellent! My only regret is that I didn't discover it sooner. I have been living in Polanco part-time for the last 4 years and have tried every overpriced , overrated restaurant in the city , Anatol is neither of those. It is very low key , non pretentious and delicious! Try it! You won't regret it!

Yelp
High expectations, met. Even the water is taken over the top with a special garnish/flavor addition--mine was star anise & sage. Cocktails were exceptional, the Moscow Mule with a bamboo stick & blackberry a standout. Great hummus app served with a fine rustic bread. The beet dish is a do-not-miss choice, excellent calamari with tempura zucchini, adored the stuffed squash blossom--we barely had room to share the truffled mac & cheese. The small plates are presented beautifully--but they are dainty servings. Our rudimentary Espanol wasn't really needed, this is one cosmopolitan place in a very ritzy neighborhood.

Yelp
Great spot. The decor is fantastic-- sleek, trendy and elegant. The food is great as well. The dishes are creative, well balanced and beautifully presented. Portions are generous. Favorite dish was the zucchini blossom tempura. am definitely coming back to Anatol!

Yelp
Very nice upscale dining. Smart and modern decor. Good service and excellent food quality. Right on the "it" zone in Mexico City: Polanco. Walking distance from lost of cool bars and cafés. Definitely returning. FYI: there is no smoking section.

Yelp
thank you, Yelp! I can always count on you. This place was SUPER!! Husband is claiming we had one of his favorite meals here. First, the space is really beautiful. It is modern and very comfortable. The restaurant has floor to ceiling windows and it is on a corner, so it was really nice to sit and look out onto the neighborhood. The food was awesome. Everything was very creative and super flavorful. We tried a couple of starters -- the mojito carrots (tangy, yet sweet), snapper collar (smokey taste that paired nicely with the tart slaw), and crab salad (really unique). We also has the potato crusted snapper, which was really amazing. It was just super flavorful. We couldn't resist dessert. There was a campfire dessert which may be the best thing I have ever eaten. A moist, delicious chocolate cake with graham cracker ice cream (this ice was in and of itself fantastic) and then the plate was covered in charred marshmallow. SO good. We also had the pb chocolate bar which was also really good. Oh, and then on the way out, they give you cookies. Wow. Such a great meal!!
