Anatolia - Review - Lincoln Park - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Anatolia is a sit-down Mediterranean restaurant in Lincoln Park. Along with dishes like iskender and grilled meat platters, they have a Turkish coffee martini and baklava cheesecake. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - John Ringor

The food was incredible! It was so good we couldn’t even wait to take pictures — we just dove right in. The Adana kebab was perfect, and the fries were cooked to absolute perfection, which is rare for a side dish. The haydari dip was amazing, and the baklava cheesecake was unlike anything I’ve ever had. Our waitress was extremely welcoming, answered all our questions, and made the whole experience even better. This place exceeded every expectation — there’s just something special here that sets it apart from any other Mediterranean restaurant.

Excellent food, warm atmosphere, and truly welcoming service! Every dish we tried was full of authentic Mediterranean flavor, especially the kebabs and meze platter. A perfect spot for both casual dinners and special occasions

My wife and I split the traditional Turkish breakfast and it was incredible. A ton of food, all of it delicious. Even the tea was perfect. I would suggest splitting it between four people. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Google
A very cozy Turkish restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The pistachio cheesecake is a must-try — rich and flavorful. The Turkish tea is relaxing and pairs perfectly with dessert. The kebabs taste good as well, though they could be a bit more tender. The whole place feels warm and friendly, almost like dining with family. Even though there was just one server handling everything, the service was attentive and thoughtful throughout.

I have tried Turkish food all over the world. To be honest, I wasn't expecting to have such a great experience in Chicago. We had some starters and mixed grill. Every single detail was awesome. Staff is incredibly nice. Price is definitely reasonable.

We had the pleasure of enjoying a traditional Turkish breakfast at Anatolia, and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The breakfast spread was generous and beautifully presented: fresh bread, rich cheeses, olives, honey, jams, eggs, and of course the perfect Turkish tea. Every bite was full of authentic flavors that reminded us of being in Turkey. The service was attentive and kind, with staff checking in at just the right times without being intrusive. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to gather with friends or family.

Google
Real five star restaurant. Fantastic food; great service, very clean The owner Zach is fantastic; great experience. We went there few times for lunch and Turkish breakfast

Google
The proprietor is so friendly and welcoming! We went for the full Turkish breakfast experience and it was divine! We went with 4 people and we were all stuffed by the end! It's $85 for this full table spread, and you can share it with as many people as you want in your party. It comes with everything you see in their picture and mine here, including the Turkish tea! Will be back again!

Yelp
Such an enjoyable early dinner. We spotted this new Turkish restaurant that had some interesting menu items. We were promptly sat and were given a complimentary appetizer: Pink Lady Dip which was based in Beet, Yogurt, and Garlic. It was served with a soft bread. The atmosphere was similar to fine dining but relaxed. We opted to try a few drinks. My husband an old fashion and I grabbed the evil eye. A lot of care was put into crafting each of these drinks. The evil eye was good but tasted of my youth. I have probably grown from this flavor palate but the drink was strong and complex. We ended up sharing the Grilled Mix Platter. It was a Mix of Mediterranean meats we opted for Mashed Potato, and Grilled Veggies. We loved all the different flavors and textures of the different meats. The spices were well balanced with the meat textures. I thoroughly enjoyed the meatballs and the kebabs. It was such an enjoyable meal with great service. We would definitely com back here and try some other entrees.

Yelp
Stopped down for a good dinner. Started off with a old-fashioned. It was mixed to perfection. The decor of this restaurant is is great for a date night dinner. Very cozy. Service is outstanding. The food is also amazing. We had the meat platter as pictured. There were so much food that we had to take it home and will enjoy our leftovers. If you're in the area, try this restaurant out.

Yelp
Convenient neighborhood place. We walked, but there was on street parking available. Our meal started with delicious warm pita and eggplant spread. We ordered the hummus. Iwe ordered a grilled meatball entree plate and had a steak dish. Both dishes were tasty.and were accompanied with a small salad, a side dish of choice and grilled garnish. Ambiance gives more a formal dining vibe but it was thankfully casual. Service was great.

Yelp
Great new place! Casual to white table cloth. Turkish/Mediterranean. Very reasonably priced dinner options. Pleasing, relaxing atmosphere. We started with the grilled Hallumi which is a Kaseri like cheese served with a slice of tomato and cucumber; very tasty and a nice alternative to Saganaki which I like but which is considerably more caloric. I'd definitely order the hallumi again. And then the Beyti; this is a Doner(ground marinated lamb with spices). An incredibly flavorful dish with cheese and wrapped in a light dough and topped with a drizzle of tomato sauce, butter and a side of yogurt dressing. We also had the Lamb kebab; served as patties with a nice Bulgur rice on the side and a small salad. Again perfectly done and definitely a winner. We finished with elegantly presented Turkish tea and the Baklava cheesecake. Don't miss this one; it's a layer of baklava, topped with cheesecake and a sprinkling of pistachios. I'll be back. The price is right and the food is first rate!

Yelp
The food was amazing but the service was incredible. I was there with my granddaughter who was 20 months and the staff could not have been more accommodating, friendly, and overall so sweet with my girl! It's definitely a place to go back to for the food and ambience, and especially if you have children! They were absolutely wonderful!

Yelp
I seriously enjoyed dining here. The hummus was delicious, the fresh bread with sesame, and the fried cheese with cucumber, tomatoes and olive oil hit the spot. I would have liked to see some of my favorite dishes from Turkey such as the cheese cigars and more vegetarian items, but what I had was delicious.

Yelp
Amazing host, food and service! I strongly recommend the restaurant to all friends and family. The owner Tolunay is wonderful! I love that they are local too. I support local and this Turkish restaurant is wonderful with a modern twist. We will be hosting a big gathering there soon.

Yelp
The latest addition of restaurants on Clark Street and very welcome. This Mediterranean restaurant specialities are their doners/kebabs. We had the shrimp, humus and fries (an interesting take on a poutine). All were delicious and the sauce on the fries was not cloyingly sweets which was a big win for me. We shared the nice grill which they said was enough to feed 2-3 and it definitely was. Delicious juicy variety of different t meats and their bulgar rice was very tasty too. The baklava cheesecake was outstanding. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive and the restaurant was tastefully decorated. A big must is their Turkish tea. Outstanding. So glad this opened round the corner from us. We will be returning!

Yelp
This is our fourth or fifth dinner and they have all been excellent all-around: good service, great tasting food and good prices. I would be there more often if it wasn't for the strict diet that I am on. Good people!

Yelp
Lunch through dinner hours. Excellent service. Casual to dinner ambiance (white table cloths). Wonderful hot bread served with flavorful babaganoush for the table. I wanted more! Lemony riced stuffed grape leaves. Good selection of starters and nice assortment of entrees with choice of three sides (potatoes, bulgur rice, or rice). I liked the bulgur rice flavored with tomato and spices. Entree was the signature dish of Adana Kebab- Specially spiced lean minced meat (beef, maybe some lamb added) was very well flavored and grilled. Very tasty with a side of pickled onions and tzataziki dill sauce, yum! . Served with a nice side salad, and rice or potato of your choice. We had Turkish tea after dinner, beautifully served with traditional sugar cubes. Excellent food. Looking for a lunch portion menu to be added, hopefully soon, especially for take-out! I'll go back to try the mix grill (with lamb chops) and other starters.

Yelp
The food is amazing! The bread they bring out first is so good, fresh, and warm. The dips are incredible, and the entrees are great too. We loved everything we got, and the service was great too. Our waitress was very nice and had great recommendations.

Yelp
I heard about this brand new Turkish place over in Lincoln Park through the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce. Yesterday night, a party of 17 of us went over for a family dinner. I have to say the appetizers and the main courses blew us away. We ordered grilled halloumi, babagannous, pink lady, shrimp, hummus and saganaki. Everything was absolutely delicious. The main courses were even more incredible. We ordered the mixed platter with every variety of kebab served with a salad, french fries, rice, yoghurt dipping sauce and pickled onions. Everything was bursting with flavor. We also ordered the Adana Kebab and the Steak Skewer. I can't recollect a dining experience where I enjoyed everything that was ordered. The icing on the cake was the Turkish tea and the Baklava Cheesecake and Baklava. Epic! Finally, the ambiance - This place is perfect for an intimate dinner with a significant other or a family get together because what could be better than bonding over food or simply just to go over alone and be gluttonous because everything on the menu hits the spot. PS. Loved the service, the white tablecloths, the lovely warm table lighting and the attentive staff. PS. We will be back. Too many things on the menu left to try.

Yelp
Super fresh, so many delicious options, and the unlimited Turkish tea was the cherry on top Everything tasted homemade and the price was really fair for the amount of food you get. Cozy atmosphere and perfect for a chill brunch with friends. Highly recommend!

Yelp
A Wonderful Experience! Dining at Anatolia Restaurant felt like taking a quick trip to Turkey. The Adana kebab and mezze platter were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Service was quick but didn't feel rushed, which we really appreciated. We finished the meal with baklava, which was perfectly crisp and not overly sweet--just right. Great value for the quality you get. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true taste of Turkish cuisine.

Yelp
I was recently invited to join a small group for dinner at this relatively new Turkish restaurant. Since I love middle eastern food I accepted the invitation and I'm very glad I did. From the minute we walked in the door I felt at home. We were warmly welcomed. The dining room is nicely appointed and the chairs are comfortable.,No loud music so we were able to converse. We talked a lot about the food. Interesting cocktails are Turkish wines. The pita was great as was the accompanying spread. Three of us had kabobs--chicken, lamb, and shrimp. The fourth person had something called beyti. Everything was attractively plated and delicious. I am definitely looking forward to going back soon.

Yelp
We went here for our friends birthday. First, service was awesome from start to finish. Everyone was on their top game and ready to answer any questions. We started with martinis and they were on point. We got the cheese plate and it was clean and a good combo is cheese and dried fruits. Finally the food itself was awesome - very well seasoned and the flavors stood out. Finally they treated my friend to a great chocolate cake slice with candle! I live in LP and we are so happy to welcome you to the neighborhood!

Yelp
We got carry out döner, iskender, grilled chicken and salmon. The meat was over done, didn't' taste authentic. Tomato sauce was bitter and salad was limp. Bulgur was tasteless and mediocre.. chicken kebabs were too salty. there are better authentic Turkish places in town. I do not recommend.

Robert M.

Yelp
Excellent food, drinks and service. Best saganaki I've ever had. Amazing kabobs. Going back again already.

Yelp

Yelp
Service is impeccable. Phenomenal and authentic flavors. The staff were all extremely friendly and the prices were very reasonable. This place is a gem! Definitely will be coming back to try their Turkish breakfast!

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal! We ordered the cold mezze platter and the hummus haydari and red pepper spread were to die for! We will definitely be back.
