Was cravings some yummy food and this place helped me with that!!! Mmmm sooo the mix platter is the best well everything js we order from salad freshness the tasty lamb chop and platter everything alhamdulilah even the tea ! Love it! Highly recommended

10/10—absolutely fire! I’ll definitely be back for the kebab in lavash and some dessert with tea. Honestly, I’m surprised (and kinda glad) I didn’t check the reviews before coming. A lot of them are weirdly low, but I had an awesome experience. I love Turkish food, and this spot delivered exactly what I wanted—hot, fresh, and delicious, all within 10 minutes. I got a $10 falafel gyro, $9 lentil soup with warm bread, and a Coke—super solid for the price. Saturday, lunch time Maybe I just caught them at the perfect time when they had the staff and energy to make it great, but either way, I’m not complaining! I’m planning to come back at least twice more, and if anything changes, I’ll update my review. For now, two independent adults with different tastes both walked out very happy. Oh, and shoutout to the super sweet young lady at the counter who let me try some Turkish delight—OMG, absolute heaven! Thanks for the great meal, and best of luck to the team! I love this place. Lamb tastes so flavorful and delicious and just perfect and Turkish tea I love it.

We recently had dinner at Anatolia and ordered the mixed grill and chicken grill, which were served with rice and salad. While the presentation was nice and the food tasted decent, the portion sizes were surprisingly small—especially when compared to other Turkish restaurants in the area. Considering the price point, particularly the mixed grill at $35, the value for money just wasn’t there. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to others, as the portions did not justify the high prices.

This spot served one of the best gyros I’ve had in years—juicy, flavorful meat paired with excellent pita bread. The portions were generous and the taste was outstanding. That said, my most recent order was a bit disappointing—it felt drier than usual and lacked the luscious fat content I’d come to expect. Overall, I still love it, but I hope it goes back to its former glory.

We ordered some dishes, ended up waiting for a while. And the food was honestly disappointing. Some pieces of the meat were still red. They gave us a rice dish with no spoons, all we had was a fork and a knife.

Just placed an order for 10 people, plus 2 extra orders of meat And they sent me this, plus some bread and another salad 2 full trays ended up being one half tray and one quarter tray of food Ordered the same thing 2 weeks before and it was double the food When I called and said this isn't enough food for even 5 people they didn't want to hear it It was $325 with tip for this That's $32 per person Literally 2 tiny pieces of meat per person One spoon of salad 1 falafel And 1 one of whatever that eggroll thing is This was for a family in the neighborhood and they just lost our business forever Thanks for nothing

Good value and reliable take-out Turkish food. Typically get a 'large' gyro plate and an extra bread on the side - manages to feed myself and my partner handily. There is some seating inside but I've never actually stayed to eat here. When I come in, there are often 10-20 take-out orders on the counter ready to go out. I guess the evening rush makes this a great location to pick up food from on the way home. And it's delicious. Definitely a staple in Sheepshead Bay. If you know, you know.

I was really excited to try this place because I'm currently in my kebab era. However, I was disappointed. I paid 15.50 for a small and it was really small. Barely any meat When I bit into a piece of kebab to try, i was disappointed again. It was dry...very dry. I almost choked. However, the seasoning was good. I will probably not come back here. Maybe I need to try a different dish?

Chicken kabobs are back on point. Sometimes a little overcooked on the outside but still tasty on the inside. There hummus is also some of the best you will find in this part of Brooklyn. Friendly staff all the time as well. Thank you guys!

Food was excellent, waiter was not. He was getting moody with us then when he brought us the bill. I was ready to pay and while I was reviewing the bill with my girlfriend he kept insisting I tap my card on the reader. After I paid, we realized they had already charged gratuity and he was just trying to get more tip. Not a good experience especially when I bring my family who was visiting from out of town.

I've been coming here for years although for the last 2 years I've been doing take out only. Came here for a sit down dinner with a few friends. The restaurant is authentic Turkish food, is very popular and is usually busy, especially for take out or delivery. Excellent food, good customer service, the staff is friendly, prices are reasonable. They have a great assortment of appetizers, soups, sandwiches, gyros, wraps, entrees and deserts. Whether you want chicken, fish, lamb or fish they have it all. It's not fancy and as you enter you have a take out/pickup counter on the right. On the left is a beverage case and desert case. You go past that to be seated in the rear of the restaurant. We started with the lentil soup, had the large chicken kabob, chicken gyro, wrap and the lamb. Good flavor, served hot and they serve good portions. I would recommend them especially because they have so many items to choose from.

There are mixed reviews for this Turkish restaurant so we decided to give it a try with takeout. We ordered the chicken gyro sandwich (decent meat portion, onion heavy), the chicken Adana platter and the lamb gyro platter. Given some reviews that the small platter comes with minimal meat, we ordered large. See the photo for what a large looks like. The platters each came with a side of bread and the takeout was packaged with multiple yogurt and hot sauces. The meats on the platters were seasoned well and tasted authentic; the yogurt sauce lacked flavor though. Overall the food was great and I would order from here again.

Waiting for an hour for my delivery.called them 3 times. The girl there is just a liar. Told me driver is 2 min away, then told me driver is very close just wait another few minutes, then another few minutes, and an hour later she said they forgot to send my order. I am OK when people making mistake, it happens, but not OK when people lie to me. Will never order again from them.

I placed an order and the restaurant didn't bring the correct order. I called the restaurant and the girls taking the orders were being very rude. They said they are checking the cameras and accused us of lying. I have been ordering from this restaurant for 15+ and I have never experienced anything like this. The owner should teach his employees manners how and to take accountability over a $12 sandwich.

My friends and I decided to grab lunch here. They had many options to choice from. Surprisingly, there were many options for those with gluten, soy, dairy sensitivities! My friends ordered the lamb gyro plate, the Turkish bread, and the chicken soup. They loved it and those has been their staples each time they visit. I ordered the small chicken/Lamb combo plate. It came with iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and lots of onions. You also have the option to swap out for the standard salad for the shepherd's salad which is highly recommended (also for an additional cost). I enjoyed the lamb gyro more than the chicken. They were both seasoned well, but the lamb gyro was more tender and the chicken was a tad dry, but nevertheless the platter as a whole was a great choice! They accommodated well for children. Service was ok, it took them several asks for our waters to come out. We were never asked if we needed additional water. The food itself came out promptly. Most people order take out from this location, but if you dine in, they have many indoor seating tables. The dining area is beautifully adorned with cultural art. The restaurant is clean and well-kept. Definitely a great spot to hit up in Sheepshead Bay.

This is an absolute horrible place. They will rip you off. They have overcharged me several times and the last time they did they promise to refund me and never did. I hope they will be closed down very soon, they are disgusting people who take advantage of their customers.

The ambiance is really nice in here the service is here is really nice as well the dumplings are amazing I have been coming here for the past 9 years and it has not disappointed once

We ate several times at this place and it was good. The last time I ordered a takeout: shawarma plates. The chicken meat was very dry and burnt. The beef plate also was dry and no flavor at all. It was pricey too. Next time will look for something else.

Second favorite after Taci Beyti in the surrounding area! Food is deliciousss. There's a separate counter for picking up food on the left of the entrance so head over there Lamb Gyro Platter $12.50/small: what really works for me here is the appropriately seasoned meat. Usually, the gyro meat from other places tend to opt out of the salt/seasoning so that the white sauce really stands out, but makes the star of the show bland by itself. That's a no no for me, since I don't always use the white sauce haha. Here, it's flavorful and salty enough, and perfectly tender and juicy slabs of meat. After devouring the entire plate, I was already regretting not ordering a large - that's how much I enjoyed. The pita bread that came with the entrée was also outstanding. Normally I'm disappointed by the flat and limp pitas, but this was as big as the takeout container and extremely pretty. I ate the bread two days later and it was still so soft and fluffy. Now imagine eating that fresh!

Delicious! Got several things for take out, among them chicken shawarma, hummus, eggplant (baba ganoush), and baklava--all of it delicious and satisfying. Thanks for feeding me on a late night!

Uber Eats experience The delivery arrived and the order was not securely packaged. The plastic bag it was delivered in was opened and the brown paper bags for each item appeared to have been tampered with. This business did not take care in ensuring the safety of the food being delivered despite spending nearly $50 on delivery. I've tried this place in the past I've tried their fried calamari and chicken chops I would recommend these items. This is the only reason this rating is not lower. They need to figure out the food delivery packaging.

the delivery arrived not securely packaged the lam gyro sandwich was missing we called the restaurant they did not provide with a good customer service I would not recommend to order anymore from Anatolian Gyro restaurant its not the same!!!! One star!

This place never ever disappoints! It's very easy to place your order over the phone or on their website and the staff is always kind when you come to pick up the food! My SO and I love to share one chicken gyro platter and lamb gyro platter because I really think it's the yummiest dishes they have. Great, consistent quality & flavor! The pita it comes with is literally to die for and if you really love yourself grab a hummus appetizer... you'll thank me later

The food was pretty mediocre, and overall my experience was not pleasant. My food was packed in a way such that everything leaked. Also the prices are kind of expensive. Please just go to a halal cart if you want good gyros and lamb.

Placed an order for pickup during COVID. Was not happy that they didn't require everyone to wear masks on line in the restaurant. The restaurant was also packed. The food was very fresh and tasty - Anatolian Gyro is definitely the best Turkish spot in Sheepshead. They gave us plenty of bread with our large order. The baklava was also DELICIOUS! Found a bone in the calamari though - not sure how or why. The calamari was also soggy. Would not order again

I went today with two friends and it was a horrible experience. First of all, they sat us right under a leaking air conditioner, so I was pretty wet by the end of the meal. I ordered a lamb Gyro and the waitress asked me if I want the platter that comes with the rice and the salad or the sandwich that comes inside the pita bread. I asked her if it is possible to get the lamb platter but add a piece of pita bread with it. She told me sure, that it wasn't a problem. When the food came, a male waiter came with the food instead of the waitress. There was no pita bread with it, and he flat out refused to let me have a piece of pita bread even though I told him that the waitress said it was OK. I asked him what his title is, and he said he is a waiter. I thought perhaps he was the owner or manager. He actually told me to take some of the Turkish bread that was on the table which was part of my friends' meals that came with their salads and their hummus. Their sauce is very thin and watery, but I guess that is the Turkish sauce. It's not the thick and delicious tzatziki sauce, which you get in the diners and the Greek places. Also, it says on the menu that the lamb is mixed with beef. We had told the original waitress that we wanted two seltzers with lemon and one tap water. When this male waiter came out, he brought us three cans of seltzer, and he gave us a very hard time about them getting glasses of seltzer with a piece of lemon in each. My two friends that were with me told me that they frequent this restaurant but that today it was not good. I am a very good tipper, and I had every intention of not leaving this waiter even a penny because I did not touch my lamb platter in order to take it home after stopping at a store to buy tzatziki sauce. I already had pita bread at my house. Well, lo and behold, he included almost a $10 tip for himself in the bill! ( It said right on the bill " tip included"). On the other copy of the bill, it said "service charge", but I don't know what that's for. This review should not come as a surprise to anyone in the restaurant, because when I saw the woman waitress, I told her that the waiter that brought us our food refused to give me a single piece of pita bread, and then she said she will try and came back and said that she couldn't get it either. I told the waiter that for a lousy piece of bread it was going to be worth a terrible review, but he didn't seem to care. Anyway, bread or no bread, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Reasonably priced. Lamb gyro on pita was good and plentiful. Service is decent, pretty attentive. Strawberry cheesecake was good, also the green tea was enjoyable. I would go back!

Deserves ZERO stars! Never order the lamb chops! It's 99% charred lamb fat on a bone and the thickness of the supposed chops are less than 1/4 inch. As the most expensive item on the entree menu, it's an absolute RIPOFF. I was extremely disappointed at paying $34 for a platter of charred lamb fat attached to a bone. There was barely any meat on the thin chop at all, and I could not taste it for the slimy fat block attached to the chop bone. Everything was tasteless and bland. I urge anyone to spend their $34 plus tax elsewhere. No one wants to order over $40 worth of lamb fat for a dinner platter. At least I certainly didn't want to! Very disappointed indeed. And very sorry I went there. I was expecting lamb chop--with meat in the bone--not wafer-thin slabs of disgusting animal fat charred so unrecognizably that at face value I couldn't tell that it was fat not meat. Not recommended at all. Anatolian Gyro is a ripoff! I wish I could get my money back. : (

They give pita bread instead of Turkish bread on the side wasted a whole dinner I wanted that bread! Kunefe has no cheese and no syrup just fry phillo dough . For the amount you pay for a small dish you can get chicken over rice for half the price somewhere else !

The food here is decent but never order delivery from these people. The restaurant is run by crooks. They give exorbitant tips to their delivery people without the customer's authorization. They knew we didn't give them a$58 tip. They told us they would refund us the money. Three months have gone by and not only have we not gotten our money back, but they lied and told our credit card company that the charge was authorized. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT unless you want to have your money stolen from you.

Very tasty meat! The best Turkish cuisine in sheepsheadbay ! Fast and great service , also recommend to try their Adana kebab and kazan dibi with Turkish tea! Anatolian gyro is always our choice for dinner !

For $10, the kunefe was smaller than I expected. It's sweet on the outside but there's cheese inside. The combination is alright but it definitely does not taste good AT ALL when you don't eat it hot. The cheese gets cold and the outside gets soggy. You can't make out the different flavors anymore at that point.

My order never arrived, they claimed they never got it, but Seamless confirmed the restaurant accepted it

I order from Anatolian Gyro on a regular basis. The food is good including the soup and salads. I usually get the chicken gyro on turkish bread and my husband alternates between the chicken and lamb- less meat on the lamb but OK. Ive recommended it to people as well. Delivery is usually very quick. THE PROBLEM is when you order on line. We have flyers that give a code of 10% off. There have been numerous times where the code does not work and even the calculations may be incorrect. Ive been told that either there is something wrong with the site or I made a mistake!!!.They say you need to use the code within 24 hours- no where is that written and we get flyers all the time- so when is the 24 hours?? One time they even gave themselves a substantial tip that I did not authorize! (I tip in cash upon delivery). Ive complained to the manager but was fighting a losing battle. I believe this is false advertising and a negative reflection on the restaurant. It is so wrong and a turn off! Why advertise something that cannot be honored.

Ordered 1large shish kabab and one large Adana kabab I got 2 small in large container. For the next time check their proportions because they cheat. And it isn't the first time.

Craving meat on rice with grilled flavor. This spot is so busy for good reason. Their skewers r plentiful, made to order, hours fresh- you can tell by the amount of food they push out vs. 10 men behind the counter cooking and prepping the food and the never ending clanging of the doors and ringing of phones. Phew. Standing in the organized chaos for 20 mins was hectic. But worth it. Pricey but worth it. Sizable hunks of grilled beef 2x2 inches of expertly marinaded and fire roasted yumminess.

Yesterday was the first time I ordered my lunch/dinner from Anatolian Gyro. I didn't order from Yelp or grubhub but I walked in there, it was crowded and people were coming in and going out. The smell of the food was mouth watering and I was eager to take a bite of my food as well. The female taking the order Metin was nice and friendly, she told me my order will be ready in 20 mins but the order was ready in 50 mins instead bcoz of the Yogurt Lamb Gyro I am guessing. Here comes the bad part, after waiting there for 50 mins I picked up my food and went home. When I arrive home I find out they forgot to put in my Yogurt Lamb in the bag. I called them and they acknowledged that it was there. I took the train to Sheepshead Bay station and had a talk with the acting manager. I try to explain to him to retrain his staff on handling big orders since they were experts in handling small orders that contain 4 or less items most of them placed online. I even told him that if I lived in other borough or other state I would not be able to come back and get my order and that would be waste of money. I advised him to train his staff to be mindful about those things. He was very apologetic about the whole situation he gave me my Yogurt Lamb gyro with a box full of assorted desserts which were very delicious. As far as the food in concerned my family didn't like the chicken Gyro entrees and even the chicken chops. My yogurt Gyro was good and their sandwiches are very good as well. TIP FOR EVERYONE; please please double check your orders when walking in and even when you placed it online.

Many times I have ordered from this place and I always try to give it another chance that is my fault. the meat is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS RAW. Please be safe when ordering and don't order their meat.

Do not order delivery from here ...terrible customer service worse delivery service. Took over an hour and when I called told me someone showed up and called...I had no miss calls and delivery was to a business of which I was by the front door all day. No one showed up and the girl on the phone spoke to me like she couldn't care less

This place USED to be ok, however, lately the food I purchase from them is not acceptable... and it's time I go to the myriad of better Turkish Restaurants in the area (Kings Highway alone has three nearby). For example, I just ordered from Annotolian tonight about 10pm.... within 30 seconds after I ordered and paid the cashier, my number was called (I thought it was kind of weird, because it was too quick of time to make the gyro sandwich I ordered). I live only 5 minutes away, and sure enough, as soon as I got home I opened my sandwich to find the gyro meat was COLD.... it was obvious I was served meat that was already cut off the gyro and sitting their rather than being made a fresh sandwich with warm lamb meat. For the price you pay, you could take your business to the local competitors who will actually have the decency to serve you fresh cut meat that is warm, rather than cold meat that has been sitting out in the open already cut. Been going here for years, but their service and food has been so awful lately, my peers and I will be going to the Turkish spots on Kings Highway for now on.... it is a little further from me, but at least I know I won't be served cold lamb meat that has already been cut off the gyro and sitting on the bottom just waiting for a customer like me to disappoint. Stay away!!! You have been warned. UPDATE: Not only was the meat served cold, but half of it was also burnt/charred. So if you like the meat on your gyro to be both charred and cold (as if it was found on the floor behind an oven), Anatolian is for you!

Warning: Don't order online. Your order will be missing items!! Look at the pics to see what I'm talking about. This place is WAYYYYY overpriced for the quality of food and service they provide. The portions don't match the price! Order from Betyi their food is good and reasonable price (they are also on grubhub). After a long conversation, they agreed to remake my Chicken Adana and deliver it. Would I order from them again? NEVER!

Last night I ordered yogurt shashlik, lamb shish kebab. I received burnt meat that could not be cooked. I threw all the food in the trash. I wanted a delicious lamb kebab, but this was the most disgusting order of my life!

The lamb gyro in a pita was sizable, replete with chunks of carved meat. The slices fell apart easily and the additional sauces provided more moistness.

I thought Customer is always right role should apply as i tried to come back to this place and order well done food which look like the person that head's that grill never saw such order asked for wellllllllllllllllll done food cut in small pieces on the grill with onions and tomatoes only lagre plate. takes the food and cuts it on a cutting broad then tells me i never see such a order like this ans i don't do sh-- like this his words exactly can't mention that word i said this will be my last time ordering he says i don't give a sh-- about that. The food is amazing always consistent been coming here for many years . We had manual as a waiter he was amazing. However, our experience was tainted by another waiter. We had him last time. He came to us while we were eating informing he gave us the wrong check from a week or two before. He claimed it was 80 dollars. And we paid forty so he had to pay from his pocket 40. For his mistake . Insinuating owed him a lot more money. It was done in poor taste . He tried to be intimidating by standing there waiting for us to finish so we would have to pass him to leave. As we left he was calling out to us. Unfortunately we will not be returning to this establishment. This was unlike any experience we have had here. It left a very poor taste in our mouth.

I guess I forgot how much I didn't like this place. So I placed a grubhub order and when I went to pick it up the girl tells me the order never went through, although I showed her the receipt (my card was charged). She told me to wait while she spoke to one of the guys who was probably a manager. 10 minutes later I asked if my food was being made and they tell me "no it didn't go through". I was straight up it ignored while waiting for food I paid for. Was not helped in any way to either get a refund or the food. Walked out and disputed with grubhub. Insane.

Ok.., ok.... 1st. The delivery driver went to the wrong address, when he called me. 2nd. When I got my order the ( Chicken Gyro ) there were no Cucumbers.., only 1 THINLY SLICE of a supposedly tomato. hardly ANY ONION'S.... 3rd. I got only 2 little .5oz Cucumber Sauce containers which probably was smaller than a tea spoon of Cucumber Sauce.

I love this place. Great gyros, best in the area! My favorite is the lamb gyro on Turkish home bread.

This place was recommended to us & I'm glad we were able to try it out that same day. Definitely will be returning when in the area. Nothing short of amazing.. The lamb over rice was absolutely delicious. The Greek salad with feta cheese was also A1. Everything tasted so clean & fresh. I didn't want to waste any food so I made sure to eat every single thing on my plate which made me super sleepy & stuffed on the way back home. LOL I'm definitely a fan.

Have been ordering from Anatolian Gyro for over a decade, the food was always good. And on those extremely rare occasions that it wasn't- it was fixed right away. Not anymore apparently. Order of fries was sent mixed with all the stuff you could find at the bottom of a fryer that hasn't been cleaned. Called the restaurant: - Yes, we are aware of the problem - Why would you send food like this to the customer, especially knowing there is a problem with it? Could you replace it? - No, we don't have time to change the oil. - So you will continue using it? - You are the first one to complain - You are telling me you are aware there is an issue with food but you continue to use it because not enough people complained about it?... Could I please speak to the manager? -The manager is aware, we will work to fix the issue -Could you send me a replacement then? -No, we don't have time to change the oil.

If you order from Anatolian Gyro they never deliver the food and always missing items as soda. The people that work there are horrible. Never again
