A real gem in West Midtown that delivers a one of a kind bottle shop for people that love Mexican spirits. I was assisted by Jasmine who was kind, knowledgeable, and invested in the customer experience. I learned a lot about different Mexican liquors let alone Mezcal. This is the kind of place you go where you want something beyond just a financial transaction. They truly want to have you get a taste of the history and culture which is a rare thing.

Best agave shop in the southeast! Roxana the owner has such passion for agave and is so knowledgeable. She gets allocations that no one else gets and she is just a wonderful human. Highly recommended!

This is hands down my favorite new bottle shop in Atlanta because it is loaded with the BEST Tequila and Mexican spirits. The owner is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. She spent a good 15 minutes describing the different Mexican liquors and many Tequila options. We left with two bottles of Tequila and can confirm they are delicious. The space is gorgeous as well, definitely photo worthy. Looking forward to the hosted tastings!! There are a couple of excellent restaurants nearby as well!

Ancestral is awesome! Definitely the place to go in Atlanta for all your “agave” needs (tequila, mezcal, mezonte, raicilla, bacanora, sotol, etc.). Great selection of bottles, many of which are even quite difficult to find in Mexico. Roxana, the owner, is very knowledgeable and happy to educate her customers on all the products she offers. Though some of the bottles may seem pricey, those which I have tried have been worth every penny, especially considering many are super small-batch artisanal products. I would say the prices on bottles of tequila and mezcal that I have also seen at Tower and Total Wine are comparable here, but it feels much better supporting a local small business IMO. Also, you won’t find any celebrity-owned additive-packed tequila brands here, so you oughta know this spot is a gem. Highly recommend you check out Ancestral and bring home a bottle of mezonte for special-occasion sipping!

If you are looking for somewhere to buy additive free tequila this is the place to come. I’ll always come here and they will always show me the best tequilas to buy based off what I like.

I've been to Ancestral Bottle Shop + Market a handful of times now since my coworker recommended Roxana's shop to me. If you're ever in the ATL area, 1000% recommend coming to Ancestral. Roxana is an absolute help to picking out bottles! Even though I've been there a few times now, she's still very helpful and I learn something new every visit. The shop is small but holy moly, so so so very much to offer. I've also done some holiday shopping there before, not just bottles, but for some home stuff! Also love the location, lots of great places to grab a bite to eat.

Ancestral is a treasure trove of all things Mexican spirits (not just tequila and mezcal). They are incredibly knowledgeable and amazing educators of all things agave and beyond. If you have an opportunity to go, take it. You are sure to walk away having learned something and found a new spirit that you've never heard of or tried before.

This is a cute little bottle shop in West Midtown. Decent variety of tequilas, a few wines, and I saw at least one whiskey on the shelf. Went there for a tequila tasting and it did not disappoint! There were at least 7 different tequilas to taste and they each had a very unique flavor profile. Throughout the store there are also a variety of items like drinking glassware, and traditional Mexican crafts. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming which made for an overall good experience.

Simply the best agave shop in Atlanta hands down. No one comes remotely close to the selection of tequila, (Mexican) rum, and most importantly (IMO) the mezcal. Not even close. Roxana is incredibly knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. Her selection is impeccable. Please support your local community and buy from this wonderful establishment.
