Anchor Restaurant Bar & Lounge

We only had one dinner in Bermuda, and we're so glad we went to the Anchor restaurant! Our server Jay was an absolute Allstar, as she was so friendly, professional and fast at service. We ended up having the sushi, and omg was that incredible! Chef Marco made us some spectacular rolls, that were so fresh and delicious. The manager William and his team were also so welcoming, and made us feel part of their family. Our waiter Jovi was also very attentive, as he went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great dinning experience. The food was spectacular, the atmosphere was awesome, but more importantly, the staff was truly dedicated throughout the entire evening!

Great place. If you're familiar with Bermuda, you know it's expensive. This place was reasonable for being in a very touristy area (the cruise ships dock here) and the sushi was exceptional. Our non-sushi eaters loved their food as well.

One of the best fish sandwiches I've had! The bread was toasted perfectly, the fish was soft on the inside with a crunchy crust, and the sauce paired perfectly with the other ingredients. It's a plus for me that the fries where crispy. On top of that, the servers were incredibly attentive and friendly. I will be returning the next time I visit Bermunda.

Best Dark & Stormy served in a Gosling Barrel shaped glass. Oh and the amberjack entree was fabulous. Karaoke was so entertaining,too.

This place is a delightful spot conveniently located within walking distance from the cruise ship terminal. This bar provides a local dining option without the need for a drive or tour. A small trolley to the nearby mall makes it only a two-minute walk to enjoy their offerings. The sushi is very nice, reasonably authentic, and the selection is fair. Drinks were delightful, and the atmosphere retains a local feel despite the touristy location. We enjoyed chatting with the waiter, learning about Bermuda. It’s a pleasant restaurant for a quick drink or bite, especially if you're short on time to venture to Hamilton or St. George.

Absolutely amazing, attentive staff. You can find the owner working most nights, and he comes to check on the table and chat with guests. Everything was absolutely perfect. We ended up going in on 3 separate occasions during our week long stay in Bermuda. The staff remembered us and warmly welcomed us each time. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Everything we ordered was excellent, cocktails, appetizers, main dishes. Their sushi is also excellent. If the lamb shank is on special, get it!! So good and a great price. 100% recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Stopped in for lunch (cruise port). Staff was so friendly and attentive. We tried their 'iconic-to-Bermuda' fish sandwich served on raisin bread! It was fresh, crisp lettuce, perfectly fried fish,(not greasy). Served with great French fries. We really enjoyed it. The chocolate lava cake - oh, my!!! Delicious and cravable! We saw a lot of patrons enjoying the fish sandwich and other items. One couple got some great-looking fresh sushi. It must have been good as they cleaned their plates. We will definitely stop in here again next year when we are in port again. (I forgot to take a photo of the fish sandwich)

We were looking for a place to celebrate our 40th anniversary. After searching Google maps and sorting through many 'fancier' options, we chose Anchor. We called ahead (reservations were not needed) and asked for a cozy table. When we arrived, we were treated like royalty! Super friendly staff, a great table in a quiet corner, and great service. The manager was very friendly and hospitable. The sushi was incredible, our meals were delicious and made with fresh ingredients (should have taken a pic - the presentation was well done) and drinks were spot on. Topped off the night with a slice of cheesecake. Honestly, if I lived here, it would be my 'go to' spot! Could not have asked for more for our special occasion. Our host at our Air B&B has lived here most of his life and said he did not know about Anchor....guess it's a best kept secret! We told him he needs to check it out!
