Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all Season Long at These 11 Tampa Bars | Eater

"This little downtown location of the Davis Islands’ institution is the perfect place to pop in for a drink or two as you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day downtown. What it lacks in size it more than makes up for in selection, something you notice as soon as you walk in and see the giant wall of backlit bottles. Since it’s St. Patrick’s Day, Irish whiskey is obviously the move, so grab a Jameson and a seat in front of one of the big-screen TVs. If you’re hungry, the food menu is surprisingly large, and while it doesn’t deviate much from bar staples like flatbreads, wings, and Philly cheesesteaks, it still hits all the right notes for a mid-day, air-conditioned respite." - Matthew Meltzer

The service was great! Our Hot flavored bone in wings didn’t have much flavor. I do recommend getting the Cajun fries. The small side of fries is good for two people.

Great atmosphere for everyone, great staff, friendly regulars that make this place what it is here in Tampa. The Anchor of the city for great food and drinks!!!!!

Food was great. I had a Meat Lovers flat bread and their Anchor Tots. Ample portions. The server was wonderful. Trust her recommendations for the local beer. I loved the atmosphere. It was very much a local vibe and that's a compliment.

This is a clean and friendly dive bar. Lots of TVs to watch basically ever sports game on. There's a surprisingly large amount of tap beer with many craft and local options. Prices are reasonable for the portions of food. The grilled chicken sandwich was very good.

It’s Christmas Eve. Sacred Heart is packed so I stopped off at this bar which I have been meaning to try. Horseshoe shaped bar and a few tables on the sides with TVs all around. $6 Jameson $4 PBR. Food looked good too. Locals being local with occasional tourist. Divey and Downtown.

This is a downtown discovery I wish I had made earlier. For "tavern" food, I found the fish and chips (caution: they mean chips unless you ask for fries) very tasty, generously portioned, and reasonably priced. Although they were very busy when I arrived, Megan took care of me promptly and efficiently, and more personably as the rush died down. I found it odd that, with at least 5 TVs, only two channels were playing. I'll be back at my first opportunity.

Emily is the BEST! We had traveled from CA to Florida and by far the best Bloody Mary out there. This is a local favorite and you quickly understand why. Friendly, engaging patrons, amazing bartender. So glad we found this place.
