Tried the Anchor Grilled Chicken sandwich, added bacon...if they only had Bleu cheese crumbles it would have definitely been one of the beat sandwiches I've had in a long time!!!!!!

The service was great! Our Hot flavored bone in wings didn’t have much flavor. I do recommend getting the Cajun fries. The small side of fries is good for two people.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! They are rude and clearly racist. I was here a couple days ago and only came in because I had to use the bathroom really bad. I didn’t want to be stereotyped because I’m a younger black woman, so I told him I’ll buy something while I wait for the bathroom (and it’s just the polite thing to do). The bathroom opened up quicker than I thought so I told him I’d pay him and order when I came out. I left my ID in my car and he wouldn’t accept a picture (totally understandable, we don’t do that where I work either) so I went to get my ID and came back. He then proceeded to say “you have to leave, you’re banned from the bar”. Me: “🤨 wym I’m banned?” He goes to say, “ one of my bartenders just texted me your picture and said you are banned. Every time you come in here you cause a ruckus etc.” then started to get disrespectful. I said”I’ve literally NEVER stepped foot in this bar, have NEVER seen this bar, have NEVER heard of this bar and NEVER knew it existed. I don’t even come over to this area”. He proceeds to be rude and disrespectful. I left cause I didn’t want to be in that funky weird bar anyway, I was just trying to be polite and not just use the bathroom without buying something. So I take a video outside and tell the people by the window to turn their bodies so they won’t be in the video. He proceeds to walk after me, after I’m already OUTSIDE and take a video of me. Then calls the police on me. Again, I’m OUTSIDE. Unprofessional, unprovoked and I’m not the first person to feel their racism and prejudice. They have a couple reviews about it. TERRIBLE place, and not all black people look alike. (But he was lying about the picture because he didn’t show it once and again, I’ve never been to this bar or even on that block. There’s no way on earth they had a picture of me). Disgusting.

Great atmosphere for everyone, great staff, friendly regulars that make this place what it is here in Tampa. The Anchor of the city for great food and drinks!!!!!

Don’t bar-hop to this place if you’re buzzing, minding your own business, and expect some of the bartenders to NOT have an asshole attitude. My experience was at around 10-11pm on Oct 10th, 2025. I liked this place before this experience. If you’re buzzed and happy, as in calm and not causing disturbances of any kind—just happy and relaxed—their urban paranoia overlaps common sense and consumes the fun IMO. At least that was my impression. What is the point of going to such a place? There are plenty of other places nearby that are happy to fill that void. I’ll take my business there.

We stopped in for drinks on a Saturday midday. Emily was fantastic. Drinks were fun great and reasonably priced. Definitely be back.

This is a clean and friendly dive bar. Lots of TVs to watch basically ever sports game on. There's a surprisingly large amount of tap beer with many craft and local options. Prices are reasonable for the portions of food. The grilled chicken sandwich was very good.

This is a hidden gem! A must visit in Tampa !!! Suuuper recommend. Best portobello burger i ever had. My kudos to the chef. Emily is a great bartender and server, she is super nice and friendly. I loved the good vibes in this place. It feels like a hommy place Super recommended and if i ever come back to Tampa i will definitely be back
