Anchorage distilling….WOW. The vibe is fantastic, the booze is killer, and the staff is second to none. Arrives and went straight to the cocktails, did not disappoint….they also have incredible glassware to show off at your home bar. The tour is 100% worth it, one of the best I’ve been on and so much fascinating knowledge. Highly recommend when in Alaska!

Google
A hidden gem. I had a lovely gin cocktail while my husband did a flight. Bummer they aren't offering tours but the tasting room has a window into the distillery.

Google
This was a very comfortable and clean place. You can sit at a table and enjoy the drinks. Had the tasting flight and I enjoyed them all. The location is in a quite industrial area, away from downtown, which was perfect.

Ashley Wilson

Google
Amazing service, some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had and a phenomenal atmosphere. The space is very cool - clean and artsy and the playlist they had going made us stay and order another round. The pizza food truck outside at the time we were there was also fantastic.

Google
Great customer service and the cocktails will blow your socks off. The distillery itself is visible from the sitting area and is very interesting to watch. I also did a flight of their whiskey, which the tasting sheet was accurate and it was pleasant to sip and makes a great sour. The gin is very floral and has a great flavor. The cinnamon moonshine is dangerously smooth and tastes like fall in a glass. I would have no reservations just sipping it and enjoying it on a cool day. Overall, I’m very impressed and glad I came to this distillery. Prices were also reasonable.

Google
I paid for the tour and tasting here, while on a solo trip and 1st time in Alaska. My guide was a fellow Texan, and she made sure the tour was fun and informative. Vodka is my drink of choice, and I visited in November, so the warm-up was much needed😁 You can't beat the price, for all that you get to do, taste, and see. It's tucked away, in a somewhat industrial area, but well worth stopping in.

Google
We stopped early on a Sunday and we were the only ones in. Beautiful place. Loved the drinks. Bought a bottle to take home. The bartender gave my kids a piece of dried fruit for their water. A nice little touch.

Google
If you want to taste since true Alaska spirits, this is one of the few options. And it's a good option! Alaska grows very little grain, but this distillery sought it out and is making some great products. The gin is my favorite. Beautiful tasting area! Lots of historical photos of Alaska. Great cocktails and awesome staff. The area here is industrial, and there are not many other bars or restaurants around, so this is a destination kind of spot, and not one that you'll discover accidentally.

Yelp
Great way to start a date night, girls night, or any outing with friends. Smaller interior space with a cozy feeling. We have been making this a regular stop before dinner lately & for our Sunday outing. Drinks are very well made & many good options to choose from. With mixed drinks & tastings Whisky, Gin, vodka. Also a little retail area to purchase all there products including shirts, sweatshirts & glass wear, drink mixing bundles of some of there specialty drinks. Staff is amazing very friendly, informative & good at making the drinks. Also a fun spot to bring your out of town visitors for a couple drinks.

Yelp
I've been here twice now, and on this last visit I was really reminded about why I should come here more often. This place is cozy, cute, and has an absolutely mind blowing craft cocktail selection that frequently rotates. I am big into mixology & craft cocktails. Sadly the scene in Anchorage for cocktails is pretty bleak. We only have a handful of places with a truly decent bar program. With liquor licenses being absolutely insane to purchase I understand why most restaurants opt for a beer & wine only license, but it still makes me sad. This is a distillery first so they are producing their liquors on site. They honestly don't have to have the cocktail program that they do seeing as they aren't a bar, and yet they are absolutely killing it in the creativity department. On my most recent visit I convinced my new yelp friend, Jasmine, to head over here for some Black Friday libations. She entrusted me to be her first espresso martini drinking partner so I had to deliver. When I saw Anchorage distillery had one on their December cocktail list I knew we had to try it. I was not disappointed. It was an extremely well balanced espresso martini. I also got a cinnamon moonshine cocktail called ugly Christmas sweater. This one had toasted marshmallow & maple syrup. The flavors were a bit more watered down in this one, but I think that's just because it was over shaken. Overall this cocktail program is impressive. The bartenders are knowledgeable & efficient. The space is also cozy. Next time you're looking to try a new spot head on over to Anchorage Distillery!

Yelp
Coffee collaboration with kaladi brothers! They have a new watermelon Columbia coffee, so good! $14 each.

Yelp
I finally made it to Anchorage Distillery off C Street, not to be confused with Alaskan Spirits Distillery on King Street lol annoying. It was Black Friday and I was meeting my new friend and fellow Yelp Elite, Daniella. It was a bright and clean atmosphere. Lots of product for sale at reduced prices. I enjoyed my very first espresso martini here. It was more cinnamon based (as opposed to chocolate?) but as someone who still doesn't drink coffee regularly, I was pleasantly surprised. For my 2nd cocktail I got their Hawaiian Xmas drink. We yapped so much the distillery was closing by the time we finished off our 2nd so I can't comment on a third. The bartenders were knowledgeable and fast. I can't wait to return to try other cocktails on Anchorage Distillery's rotating/seasonal menus.

Yelp
It's a perfect spot to just enjoy a great cocktail and food truck food (changes weekly). The service is great! Order right at the bar with the bartenders and see your drink made on the spot! Chill spot overall.. enjoy the art, have a chat, and maybe do the distillery tour!

Yelp
Anchorage Distillery is a great place to stop by after work or to meet friends after a long day. The vibe of this business has both an outdoorsy plant like nature with an old fashion speak easy twist. The drinks themselves are very old fashioned. I came in here over the summer with a friend and ordered a drink that had whiskey and a raspberry fruity flavor to it. It was so good! They'll make you the drink on the spot and you can ask for more or less garnish. They may or may not offer a tour of the distillery. It's a really nice facility and it's in the heart of Dowling road, near an industrial area, filled with car shops. I like that more distilleries are placing their locations in areas you wouldn't expect, like ship and dockyards and old industrial areas. The location helps to give this business its character.

Yelp
Wow! What a fun experience. The menu has many options, including alcohol free! I have enjoyed every sip I've had here and am exited to try every season menu. Grab some take-out, your dog and a yummy cocktail! There is limited seating but very cute and comfortable. The parking situation is terrible but otherwise a good experience.

Yelp
Although Anchorage Distillery is tucked away in a more industrial part of town, the inside is cozy and welcoming and the drinks were great. The bartender informed us that they rotate their menu regularly, with the more labor intensive drinks being on it in the winter when there are fewer customers coming through but I really liked the two drinks that I had (whiskey based with foam and a gin based drink with lime). I overall thought it was a lovely place to meet with friends, chat, and catch up all while looking at the distilling process and I hope to be back soon.

Yelp
I was excited about this place however the drinks were weak and lackluster. The seating area was also very small and gets loud quickly. Sadly, it was a disappointment.

Yelp
Went here twice in my two weeks in anchorage. Super cool merch! I ended up getting a t shirt, but seriously considered the sweatshirts, drink glasses and more! Cool vibes here and I loved the ability to see the bottles being labeled in the room next door. Lots of great seating options for a smaller place! Staff was super friendly and the menu has a great list of drink options. I wish that I could've tasted more whiskey in my drink, but would definitely come back again to try all their other drinks!

Yelp
We decided to come out on a first Friday. We were happy that we did. I will say the only downside to this place is the parking is atrocious. And the winter that we are having doesn't help facilitate any street parking. But that's not truly their fault so I didn't take away any stars for that. The drinks were very well-made, the staff was very friendly and nice. I really like what they did with the place adding more seating. I would like to see them if parking becomes better, maybe open up more areas in the brewing area it's fun to sit near the machines that make the drinks.

Yelp
I had a great evening here enjoying some drinks and the atmosphere. The space is small and intimate which I really enjoyed. The drinks were delicious and the bartenders had great suggestions. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
I love this place!! If you are visiting Anchorage or a local to Alaska..definitely make it a point to check this place out! The outside doesn't look like much and it's located in an odd area. Once you enter, it's not what you would expect at all. Of course, unless you've seen pictures of it already (cheater). The inside of this distillery is perfect! The decor and layout..I absolutely love it. Speak-easy ambiance is my kind of vibes. It's such a chill atmosphere and the view of the distillery while you sip on signature cocktails is great. Gotta love those twinkly lights to set the mood as well. Drinks Are Awesome!! Anchorage distillery specializes in vodkas but they do have whiskeys and gin too. Their signature cocktails are mixed perfectly by the most amazing mixologist there. She truly is the best ever!! She had awesome recommendations, so I tried the porch swing and the forget me not cocktails. They were both reeeaaallly good, my favorite was the forget me not. These are a little on the sweet side. I've also tried the old fashion and this is usually my type of drink and it was done perfectly. My husband is a whiskey person and he really enjoyed the "hello mom" and the "SquarePants". I also sampled the ghost pepper vodka, whoooo weee it's good, but the burn is there! Service is top notch!! I wish I got her name but the bartender there is amazing! She brings the entire place to life and is very knowledgeable about the product. Super accommodating and overall just a superb person! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We decided we wanted a "fancy" drink before heading home to make dinner. Upon walking in we were greeted by a really friendly bartender. I let her know it was our first time here and she gave us a quick history of the distillery and what offerings they have. They recently ran out of their whisky batch. I asked for a colorful drink made with vodka. The bartender recommended 3 drinks from the menu, ultimately I let her pick her favorite. My partner really wanted a whisky. Since they were out the bartender recommended an old fashion with the cinnamon moonshine. Both drinks were delicious. We really enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to going back.

Yelp
Awesome spot with great cocktails and gift selection, plus the bartender is wonderful and super sweet and personable each time we've visited. The location is small an intimate and probably a bit more difficult for large groups but perfect for groups of 4 and under. Dog friendly. Plus awesome unique anchorage items like hoodies/cups/tumblers. I bought myself a hoodie and I've been stopped regularly asking where I got it and I always send everyone in this direction! Enjoy!

Yelp
The location is a bit out of the way in an industrial area, but you HAVE to go try their Christmas drink menu. Check out their Instagram for seasonal menu with pictures. All drinks feature their craft made vodka, gin, and whiskey. They only serve what's on the menu, so if you want to make something else they sell bottles to-go. They don't serve food, and there's a 2 drink limit per person. All the more reason to keep coming back! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and they have creative non-alcoholic drinks that don't make you feel excluded from the party. I only wish they had a bigger tasting room for hanging out with large groups of friends. Due to limited space, this is more for small groups of 2-3 and definitely won't fit strollers in here.

Yelp
Really clean, inviting space. Great merchandise for sale and solid cocktails. Go with the fireside mule if you like spicy. The best bargain is probably your choice of 3 spirits for $6 or 6 spirits for $11 (1/2 oz pours), but that gives you the best natural taste of what they make in-house. They specialize in whiskey, rye, gin and vodka. The staff was pretty friendly. I only wish they had more comfortable seating like the two chairs by the door. Your butt gets sore on the hightop stools after a while. Good thing Alaska state law stops you at two rounds per person.

Yelp
Adore this place! The drinks are great and our bar tender, Shannon was AMAZING! Love her!! Cannot recommend this place enough! Thanks for the amazing experience Shannon! You were awesome
google avatar

Sasha L.

Yelp
The vibes and the alcohol were both on point. Between the 6 of us, we tried quite a few of their liquors and a couple cocktails. Our favorites were the Ghost Pepper Vodka and the Gin. We liked it enough that we bought a few bottles as well! Service was great and the tasting room decor was really cute. Highly recommend if on an alcoholic tour of Anchorage.

Yelp
Best service and friendliest bar staff in Anchorage that I've experienced. This is my second time coming here and they have been so friendly and easy to talk to every time. The drinks are great and they have an adorable little tasting room that is officially back open post COVID! Yay!! They make some of their own syrups in house as well. My favorite is the ghost pepper vodka in the Bloody Mary and Pickle Rick. Def recommend!

Yelp
Drinks were pretty good. Bartender forgot our drinks and brought drinks 25 and 30 min later. After she tended to her friends. I would come back to try more drinks but not while she's here. On a side note, the privacy button in the bathroom sounds like a cool idea but... in a drinking establishment, not a great choice.

Mariah M.

Yelp
The drinks were all amazing and unique. Staff at first was a little cold and off putting but I think they were a bit overwhelmed because our group of 6 came in right after a couple and everyone was trying to get drinks at once. The mixed drinks and merch was all so cute and amazing. They did have the prices incorrect on their board for merch and did not honor the prices printed, but other than that we left happy.

Yelp
Anchorage really needed a place like this! This is a brand new* distillery in Alaska. They make primarily Vodkas but they also have a gin and an un-aged "Whiskey". (real whiskey takes years of barrel aging to get its color and flavor, kidos. And they are working on those too, btw) They have a small tasting room attached to the distillery with a lovely, warm-wood, ambiance. A distillery-tender there will whip up some custom cocktails using their spirits. I had a couple, and I'm not a cocktail guy, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. They give tours at 6pm. (not sure what days they do this, might want to call ahead) Because Anchorage has ridiculous anti-make-your-own-Alcohol laws: you can only have two drinks here. On the bright side, there is pretty much no need for a DD. *well, kinda. It's actually more of a re-brand of the distillery formerly known as "Bare Distilling", I only know this because I'm nosy.

Jonathan M.

Yelp
Great cocktails, atmosphere, and not to mention service above all Shannon served my wife and I and I can't praise her more. 5/5
google avatar

Christine M.

Yelp
Looking for a fun and engaging evening activity with friends or family or significant other or all of the above involving vodka? Come here! On Thursdays, they offer a free tour and you can buy drinks afterwards. Their vodka is cheaper at Costco and Brown Jug but not all flavors are offered.
google avatar

Greg O.

Yelp
Sooo good! Definitely try the Ghost Pepper Vodka, especially in the Bloody Mary! Also, the Pickle Gin and Tonic is weirdly awesome.
google avatar

Sarah F.

Yelp
Fantastic space, awesome product and great mixed menu! Definitely need to add this to your weekly mix of stops for cocktails.
google avatar

Lucy H.

Yelp
Cool place, the hours are "limited" mainly per Alaska law, but the various vodkas and gins are awesome. The location is a bit cozy, but it's a nice venue for a laid back evening out etc.
google avatar

Doralee R.

Yelp
Not your syrupy sweet flavored vodkas. They also serve cocktails so you can taste the flavors...oh and the ghost pepper vodka will kick your rear in a good way so sip slowly.

Yelp
I had a horrible experience here. My boyfriend and I went to the 2nd Annual Prohibition Repeal Party hoping for a fun evening. We noticed that the price was $35 and felt it was a steep price, so commented on the event page asking why. We received no response and paid for our tickets anyway, understandably having high hopes. We arrived and found some finger foods (I was not expecting a large dinner, so this would have been fine if I could have figured out anything else my money could have gone toward), an iPad for photos, and some tables. The band was nice, but there was no room for dancing or even standing. I understand it is a small space, but I paid $35 to stand in one spot for an hour. In addition, all drinks were still *full price*; I was certain guests would at least be given some drink tickets considering we all paid so much to get in. When we commented on the Facebook event, we received some kind responses and the host of the event stated that she would stand by her party, but she would gladly refund our money if we were displeased. We appreciated it as we could not see where our $35 went, and we could not justify paying such a high price for the event. Much like how I would return a product if it didn't work as expected, I felt that a guaranteed refund would be easy to acquire, especially given the civil conversation we had via Facebook. However, when we went in today for the refund, we were treated with tremendous disrespect. My boyfriend simply walked in and explained why he was there, and the woman angrily tossed the money (half of what we paid) on the table and rudely said, "Can I ask you a question? Why did you even come in the first place?" My boyfriend explained that we were looking forward to the event but were disappointed based on how much we paid. She then stated how rude our comments were (even though they were simply respectfully stating disappointment) and asserted that she would only give us half of our money. My boyfriend did not argue, and simply started walking out. She shouted at him as he walked away, "Right back at you!" Her tone was horribly disrespectful and her behavior was wholly unprofessional. We will not be returning to Anchorage Distillery.

Yelp
Anchorage Distillery is located in the roughest industrial part of Anchorage. They use (cow) feed barley that was not designed for Ethanol production. They use city water from a water softener that is a lie when they claim glacial vodka. Don't waste your time or money buying overpriced feed barely & toilet water.
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
We stopped in for the weekly tour on Thursday at 6. We had a few cocktails before- super yummy. The drinks here are pretty fruity, if that's your thing, you'll enjoy it for sure.
google avatar

Steve F.

Yelp
Great facility with a great selection of clean and classic style of Vodka's. If you haven't been to the tasting room make sure you stop in and try a few....I think you will enjoy.

Rebekah K.

Yelp
Stopped here excited to try vodkas and whiskey. We tried the flight of vodka with the whiskey. Vodkas were not smooth and definitely beat in mixed drinks. The Pink vodka was the best. Whiskey Moonshine was very strong with no real flavor. They offered mixed drinks, but we didn't stick around long enough to try them. The place was very small and inviting. Staff member was not super helpful for visitors who had never been there.

Yelp
A hip startup with history and pedigree. The cats are cool and willing to please. Give them a visit for their Thursday tour.
