"Have a hankering for halibut? The crispy clam strips, scallop linguine, and New England chowder at Anchors will sweep you right out to sea (fittingly, the sign on the back wall instructs guests to “work like a captain, play like a pirate.”) You’ll be tempted to settle for the classic comfort food of fish and chips, but we encourage you to order their lobster roll. A buttery French roll (soft on the inside, toasted on the outside) is loaded with generous chunks of lobster to fulfill your crustacean cravings. And they won’t drown it in mayo so you can still taste the ocean. This roll pairs perfectly with a spicy thatch of Cajun-seasoned fries." - Johanna Harlow

Ordered Fish and chips which was recommended to me by the staff working at place. Roughly $20 during lunch. Very little French fries and the fish was 20% and 80% fried batter. Wasn't really that good and the fish was tough. Ordered a side of veggies which was drenched in oil.

The garlic fries were actually the best part of me for me; garlic was strong unlike when you go to a ballpark. The lobster roll was okay, both in general and for the price. It will satisfy a craving, but I’ve definitely had better.

Anchors Fish and Chips may not seem particularly special at first glance, but it has a magnetic pull that keeps drawing me back whenever I'm in San Jose. My favorite dish here is the Lobster Roll, and I think it's perfect. Some might say there's too much mayo, but I believe that's what makes it so juicy. There's still a generous portion of lobster and a fantastic brioche bun, so don't worry about any unusual ingredients. The interior isn't much to speak of since the place is in a food court. However, the food court itself is quite lovely. You can find a great selection of beer at neighboring kiosks and relax in the outdoor area, sometimes even with live music. Absolutely worth a visit if you happen to be nearby!

Friendly staff to start off, had the basic fish and chips today. Good flavors while the breading was a bit greasy wasn't too much so. Chips were mid, they do have a lot of sea food options so would check if keen.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a line of like 5 people. We ordered scallops linguini, which had good flavor to it. My husband thought it had way too much sauce, but to me it was perfect. I ordered the Alaska salmon deluxe and felt like the salmon needed more flavoring. The rice and vegetables were very good. My son got fish and chips, I felt like they counted how many fries they put. The fish was actually good and crispy. Lastly, the clam chowder was very good. I got a cup and wished I would had gotten a bowl. They validate parking. For the weekend it's $5 for the San Pedro parking garage and with their validation, we paid $0.

Had a late lunch here on a Wednesday afternoon. The service was good from.both the cashier and the chef. We ordered the Mahi Mahi Sliders and some Fish & Chips. The sliders were tasty but in my opinion the fish and chips was superior. The portion size was quite generous, the fish tasted fresh and was fried to perfection. Another thing I appreciated is the very ingenious design on the bar itself. It has various sea creatures in what looks like a beach made of resin, really cute 🥰

Decent place with amp choices of seafood items. Was not happy about the ~4% service fee for takeout, seriously?! You get 1 star docked automatically. I got the teriyaki salmon bowl. A little stingy on the rice given the price. Salmon was good and tender. Atmospheric can be a little loud and not as spacious, but that San Pedro. Might be worth coming again if feeling the itch. Heard from others that the lobster roll isn’t good and to stick with Old Port.

Had the fish and chips and a cup of clam chowder. Fish & chips were good and the portion was good, look at the photo! Fish was proper Cod ftw! Good job Anchor. Fries (few places serve "chips") were crispy and tender. Clam chowder was surprisingly good. I tend to not have high expectations for clam chowder since many places just don't do it justice. This was definitely way better than the overhyped Sam's Chowder house, which we've written off. My daughter tipped the cup back to get every drop.
