Ancient Hue Garden Houses

The property is just as beautiful as advertised, with exquisite traditional architecture and a truly luxurious garden setting. The service is excellent — the check-in was efficient and very personalized, and the staff were consistently polite, warm, and attentive throughout our stay. Our Superior Room was extremely spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the unlimited mineral water and the welcome fruit platter, which were thoughtful touches. The unlimited à la carte breakfast was outstanding, and we also tried the Vietnamese restaurant, where the classic dishes were authentic and delicious. Although we didn’t use the two swimming pools, they looked very clean and perfectly maintained. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, yet still only about a 15-minute walk from the Perfume River. A truly elegant and peaceful place to stay in Hue — highly recommended.

Pros: I read a bunch of feedback before arriving and noticed that they implemented all/most of the feedback given. Could really feel the care and drive to constantly improve. The resort was very pretty and well maintained. Also, the cocktails were divine (and so was the service from the blonde? barista!) Cons: We weren’t informed that the gym would be closed before checking in and wouldn’t have chosen to stay there if we knew. This may not be relevant for some travellers but may be a deciding factor for some! Would’ve been a 5-star otherwise!

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The welcome was very warm, and especially my room “Marguerite Duras" was excellent: large, new, very clean, sunny, quiet, and beautifully decorated. It felt like a dream. Breakfast was delicious and very well served. The setting is stunning, and everything is done with great attention to charm and detail. The bar area next to the second swimming pool is also beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere and tasteful decoration. Congratulations to the whole team for their dedication and hard work.

A stunningly beautiful hotel with courteous and pleasant service. Super spacious rooms that are very well equipped. It’s impossible not to give five stars, because the hotel itself is a beautiful gem and the service is excellent. Suitable for those who don’t like the hustle and bustle and touristy feel of the city center. About a ten-minute drive from the busy tourist center (around four dollars by a local Uber). The breakfast, although served in a beautiful setting with good service, is not at a level that matches the standard of the hotel.

Absolutely loved our stay at Ancient Hue! Every single staff member was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay so special. A special mention to Nhung Nguyen who gave us an unforgettable anniversary, well organized and surprised us with a beautifully decorated cake, flower and room, which made the experience even more memorable. The room was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the overall experience was faultless. Could not recommend this place enough!

I am we have just finished a two day stay at Ancient Hue Gardens house Hotel. It is one of those hotels you do not want to tell the world how amazing it is as you don’t want it to be fully booked when you return….. Simple the most perfect most beautiful amazing experience I have ever had and I’ve travelled a lot! It’s a must if you can book with them the staff and literally everything is perfect. Thank you!

Truly amazing hotel! We had a brief stop in Hue, but after staying here, we wish we had stayed a little longer. Beautiful hotel grounds with great views all around. We stayed in one of the garden houses, which was a very special treat. Everything from service, spa and rooms were excellent. We also loved the breakfast, it’s not the typical buffet style, but is à la carte and is unlimited options for you to try.

Loved the hotel. Really nice big room with large bathroom and balcony overlooking pool. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Amazing couples massage. Had lunch in Vietnamese and dinner in French. Both great. Breakfast decent too. Grab easy to get into town and Citadel. Walked to Thien Mu Pagoda down the river (get to river side and then walk traffic free all the way down). Pool a bit cold for me but nice to cool off after days out. Would recommend and would stay again.
